From my observation some of their regular users create a second account as their bank account. To make it easier for them they could just use the vault and stick to one account instead of tipping their bank account every time they profit.
But do they allow you to hold two accounts? Because as far as I know most sites do not allow you have multiple accounts and track those down who are detected using the same ip address for those accounts. For example cloudbet and nitrogensports to name the two I know of practicing this rule of multiple accounting. Going as far of them banning those accounts from their gambling sites I have seen them warning users about doing this.

No idea if they allow it now or not but I remember a few years back it was allowed for sure, maybe it was against the terms but there were people who had accounts suchs as "Jack0", "Jack1", "Jack2", etc.

What they would do is basically tip each other when they hit the min. tip amount. Basically something like "Jack0 tipped Jack1 0.001 BTC", etc. It would appear in public in the chat and everybody would see.

Its basically some faucet cheating and I've asked the mods why they allow it and they didn't care. Pretty sure they are against it now.

My 1070 ti does 31.5 hash @ 105-110 watt all day. In this bear market every ounce of efficiency counts. Your just 1 watt away from being turned off and liquidated

Yes every ounce of efficiency counts but unless you got hundreds or thousands of these GPUs you aren't making any decent income regardless.

The days of real income with mining was back when you could make $10/day/GPU. Some were making more mining than with their day jobs.

Right now if you got 2 rigs of RX GPUs with 5 GPUs each you net like 2 quarters a day. Not really worth the hassle.
6823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Fork/Block Reward Reduction Kills GPU Mining Profitability on: March 06, 2019, 07:47:46 AM
Yes the mining profitability went down a little. With my power costs I think I net a dime before and now it's like a nickel, per GPU.

It's a small change and I am still leaving the rigs powered off. What i hope is the ProgPOW to be implemented sometime in the next 6 months or so. Will keep my GPUs till then and see what the future brings.

Who knows, maybe we will see $1000 ETH again.

As far as I'm concerned, announcements of announcements should be avoided, they seem to just create hype, pumps and dumps and burnt people. And no matter when the announcement is made, insiders will always dump on late comers, that's how it has always worked when a new listing happens/is announced.
As for a listing on Binance, I think the probability is very slim, because they don't have a history of having the coin devs hint to a listing on their platform, but who knows. Anyway, imo it's not gonna be Binance, I just hope it's not HitBTC...
Binance has rules for new coins "if listing becomes known prior to listing - the agreement is canceled". All interested parties aware of it. It impossible they post it on twitter.
I'd like bithumb. But i fell it will be shitexchange. I'd bet it will be Bit-Z

actually this is the only free of censor place

Well the annoncement didn't state what exchange it was going to be, so technically they didn't violate the rules.

However its on thin ice since they suggested that "Top 10 volume by CMC". Either way it has pulled back since the annoncement so people aren't convinced its Binanace.

In the future its best not to mention news such as future exchange listings because it can be considered a pump attempt.

anybody able to get monero out of safedice?

Unfortunately for months now it has been difficult getting any currency out of this website. Basically there is speculation that the owner is in prison for other charges and he hasn't been able to maintain the website because... you aren't allowed to use a computer in prison.

I hope you didn't keep a large portion of your funds on Safedice because it might be months before your withdraw is actually processed if ever. This is why in the future its better to read the thread first before making any deposits because its been over a year of these delays of halted payments. Hence the reason why the admin was given red trust recently, so prevent more people getting their crypto trapped in the website.
6826  Economy / Speculation / Re: Issues with contact less payments. on: March 05, 2019, 07:11:18 AM
Also, about the guy embracing you in the subway and scanning your wallet with a  mysterious instrument..., I tried a year or so ago in an afternoon to pay with the cards still in my wallet. I knew well the cashier and I was the only one in the shop otherwise obviously I wouldn't have done it but I still coudn't manage to get a confirmation even with my wallet sitting on top of the PoS scanner.
Same here. I have a leather wallet and it just doesn't want to register my card through the wallet. I have to take it out each time.

But, speaking about cards, I'm amazed how Americans are still happy with their no PIN number card.
Seriously, we're afraid of somebody trying to scan your cc with hi-tech stuff inches away from you for 50euros a day while other are giving the card to the waiter and hope they will be charged correctly...
Exactly. I never understood that either. Not one single person around me ever had a problem with theft or fraud with their tap2pay debit cards, while those with credit cards (yep, it's also a thing here in Europe) haven't done anything but complain about fraudulent charges. I don't even understand how the issuers of these credit cards still allow this to happen. It shouldn't be possible to settle payments without a PIN in any amount.

A PIN for any purchase? Why? That seems like complete overkill.

Americans are happy with credit cards because they're incredibly convenient and as a consumer, nothing can ever go wrong. If anything goes wrong (fraud, incorrect charges) the bank or the merchants eat the losses, not us. And we get up to 5% cash back rewards for using credit cards. It's win-win-win for consumers. Why wouldn't we be happy with them, LOL?

I basically never use my debit card, ever, because if it gets fraudulently used, it's much harder to claw back the money (if possible at all) than with a credit card. Inputting my PIN number all over town, in questionable POS/ATM machines? I would never do that! Not to mention the risk of dealing with dishonorable merchants. With a credit card, I can instantly charge back. Debit cards have much less favorable policies and they don't give cash back.

I've been using credit cards every day, everywhere, for 20+ years. I've seen a fraudulent charge a grand total of one time. My bank instantly reversed the charges, reissued the card and I never heard about it ever again. The whole issue is being blown out of proportion.

This is generally how it is in Canada also. Most people only use Visa/Mastercard/American Express for purchases because they get cashback/air miles/free crap like gasoline/etc.

I didn't know what contactless payments were either but one day I got sent a credit card and it had the Wifi looking icon and tried it out one day at the store and haven't looked back.

Credit cards are very safe and its usually the merchants that are at risk of accepting them due to fraud. I know a few store owners who were victims of CC theft and they had to eat the costs or get them reimburised from their insurance company, the consumer is never at fault.

This is why some stores have a "NO TAP" message near the terminal because they disabled them to reduce any forms of theft with a found CC. Because if they accepted that payment, they would most likely have to take the loss, not the person who lost the card.
6827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 8th Alt coin thread. Or what to do now that asics are all over the place. on: March 05, 2019, 06:52:43 AM
Well been out of the mining loop for a while. Was hoping to re-start my ETH mining after the ETH fork if the price > $200 or so. However looks like profitability is worse now than before and nets like a nickel a day, whereas before it net a dime a day.

Wondering if anything special is coming up? I heard there is a potential XMR fork with an anti-ASIC algo and there is some ETH ProgPOW in the works. Any idea if these will actually happen ?

Too attached to my RX GPUs and R9 290 to sell them on eBay , will just keep them in the basement for a while until maybe one day they will become useful again.

It has happened to me .... My earnings have roughly more than halved from October due to a falling rate of profit in altcoin mining, so I simply turn off my rig and it almost 5 months now.

I'm not lucky enough to get cheap electricity, my costs is 0.105 kwh and it's really hard to mine, an even for a new coin with high profitability because difficulty can blow up if it suddenly gets hit by huge mining power when a lot of miners know that coin have profitability to mine.

Hopefully, with the next halving event expected to happen in the next year will be bringing a significant impact on altcoin mining.
Unfortunately this is the wrong choice , unless you are buying crypto, might as well sell your rigs because if it does become profitable again lots of ppl will jump in and back to square one.  this is the time to utilize your rigs and mine at a bit of a losss and hold your mined assets. Or trade the gear in for crypto

I realized this also however right now since mining is not profitable at all, there isn't too much demand for these mining GPUs. Hence you would need to sell them very cheap and you are better off just holding on to them unless you got some 1080Ti you need to desperately unload to pay off your Newegg Credit card bills.

I predict that most likely the value of GPUs won't be that much different in 6-12 months time. So you are better off just waiting and when the profitability comes back either mine then or just sell your rigs then.

OBYTE will be listed on a top 10 exchange (By CMC volume) this month,

http://twitter.com/ObyteOrg/status/1102637084857298945

I just checked my portfolio and see that Byteball has rallied 20% while most of the crypto market is either down or trading sideways, immediately I thought it was listed somewhere new.

Looking at the top 10 CMC list, I am going to guess the exchange is Binance because I don't see the other exchanges listing this type of coin, especially the foreign exchanges.

6830  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Psychological Technique - Play without Pressure on: March 04, 2019, 06:29:48 AM
The reason why its easy for most to get emotional and make bad gambling decisions is because money is involved and most individuals had to work hard to gain this money in the first place.

Its not only common in gambling, its also has the same affect in safe investments such as stocks. I knew many people who depositted their savings into a stock trading brokerage accounts and they only bought blue chip stocks like Apple, Microsoft, Google, Facebook, etc.

They were happy when they were making money, however when the markets turned they quickly made bad decisions, and entered larger trades on margin, got margin called and lost their account. Usually the reason why they entered a 3x margin position was just to break-even on their prior losses and they would withdraw their money from the exchange and put it back into their savings account. But nobody who depositted $10,000 wants to withdraw $5,000 because it makes them feel bad so they keep trading until the $5000 becomes $0 and its makes matters much worse.

I don't know vault doesn't seem any more difficult than just keep it on your wallet. Hell wallet is even harder considering you need to also deposit the money from your wallet to primedice. So if you do not want to play on primedice (or gamble in general) send the money to your own wallet, its still not a great deal of protection but its fairly same difficulty as the vault.

I have done a better job at putting a 2FA on my wallet and installed the 2FA on my wife's phone. So now anytime I want to deposit or withdraw money from the wallet I have to ask my wife for the code. Now that is not the end of the world and if a gambler is addict I am sure they can always find a way but I really do think that if you are not a compulsive gambler than you can do something similar to this and it would slow you down a lot.

I think one of the purposes of the vault is to prevent you from accidently hitting "MAX" and click bet and end up losing your entire balance in one bet (if its a loss). Or perhaps if you accidentally do a fat finger bet and set a base bet higher than intended, say by 1 or 2 decimal places incorrect.

I realise that MAX bet is hidden now but it wasn't in the past and it would of saved my account from being emptied when I used to make manual bets. Basically ended up moving the mouse way too far and instead of 2x, I clicked MAX and hit the Bet and ended up losing entire account.

6832  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we finally in BULL MARKET? on: March 04, 2019, 06:11:17 AM
In my local area, I from time to time pass by a Bitcoin ATM. Back in late 2017, I would basically see at least 1 or 2 people at that ATM. Right now I passed by the ATM, maybe 20 times and only once did I see someone purchasing some Bitcoins.

Maybe its because people rather use an exchange instead due to the lower fees, but the new adoption/retail market is certainly not buying at the moment.

Unless we at least print $10000 on the charts, the retail market will stay out.
6833  Economy / Speculation / Re: Irrational. Bitcoin could fall to $800 on: March 04, 2019, 06:08:54 AM
These $800 predictions are just as crazy as the people predicting $50K or $100K or $1,000,000 bitcoin.

I looked at the chart posted, sure it "could" happen but so could hundreds of other scenarios. Basically TA is at best maybe correct 50% of the time under certain scenarios such as strong bullish or bear market trends. Usually when you are looking at a chart in that scale, its very difficult to predict what will happen.

If they are so certain it will hit $800, then they should just go short 100x and make millions of dollars in doing so and cover their short at the $800 mark and go long.
6834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: March 04, 2019, 06:04:30 AM
Besides Bitcoin, most of any type of alts are centralized one way or another.

It also wasn't Vitalik's idea to reduce the issuance, it was the call of many of the other devs and they did it purely on the basis because the ice age was taking an affect on the block times.

I think what makes a coin more centralized is not the developers but the miners who build private efficient ASICs and can easily 51% attack the network, similiar to what happened with ETC a few months back. Basicallly hash power came out of nowhere.

on the way to get below 10sat  Shocked

1sat and delist  Undecided

Don't think it will hit 1 sat anytime soon. Even at the 10 sat area there is over 11 million worth of MUSIC for bids.

At the 3 sat area its over 24 million worth of MUSIC.

The ask side on the offers looks very thin however. With a 20 BTC market buy it would get over 50 Sats and with a 60 BTC market buy we would get over 100 Sats.
6836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: March 03, 2019, 07:19:04 AM
Last time devs reduced rewards from 5 to 3 ETH per block in the end of October 2017 and after this was a massive price up. Now rewards reduced from 3 to 2 ETH per block. Seems we will see new huge price movement  Roll Eyes

It was just a coincidence. Basically almost every Crypto coin went up in the last quarter of 2017. Doesn't mean there is going to be a crazy rally.

Yes there is a issuance reduction however this was already priced in months ago. Also the miner revenue now is lower than it was at $1400 so it has less of an affect.

ETH won't rally hard until we are out of the BTC bear market and the trend is confirmed. Right now is trading sideways and not doing anything pretty much.
6837  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC Technical Analysis - by CryptoReggae on: March 03, 2019, 07:15:40 AM
Whoa, we are facing a sideways for now. Trading bitcoin pair usdt is difficult today, but it could be possible if you are watching the market closely. I think it's better for us to leave the market for a while until we see a new sign to buy or to sell later.

I check on the poloniex, and it seems traders don't want to buy or sell, and it makes the price moves too slow because there are no significant movements from the trade. It could be a nice trap for people who want to buy or sell the bitcoin because everything can change in the next second.

And if you want to buy bitcoin, I suggest to wait for a while, or you can wait for 1 hour and see if there is a change within the market so you can decide it later. Still, it is unpredictable situations, and once we make a buy and sell order, we realize with the consequences for making that decision so that you won't regret it later.

By the way, here is mine:

And here is the order buy and sell position (maybe it changed after I post this)

In that image, you see that at many level price, there is 2 or 3 btc trying to block the price to not moves to higher or lower so once this is moves or disappear, then we could expecting to see the price will move again.

Here is the Trade History:

Besides that, by watching the Trade History, we could see how long one transaction got executed on the market so we could predict how much the price will increase or decrease. It is only a prediction, and you need to make your own research to know the truth.

The price only moves on one level price and then moves again, and it happens over and over in this hour and only filled small order buy and sell.

So be careful of the trap, and don't too greedy to make a bigger profit from now on.

Don't do any TA or Order analysis based on Poloniex Tethered BTC. They were a big exchange back in 2015 but now they hardly have any volume.

Use Binanace if you want to see the USDT pairs. Or just use Bitmex perps or the Coinbase BTCUSD charts.

Most of the trading done on Poloniex is bots and there are spikes from time to time. Order book is meaning less on Poloniex.
6838  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think the size of the FOMO going to be when it starts? on: March 03, 2019, 07:11:31 AM
I think alot of the FOMO won't be the retail investors buying, but it will be the people who went short at $20K, $10K, or when $6K broke and they were expecting $1K BTC and they will be covering their positions with no Bitcoins left to buy on the order books.

Many are sitting at massive profit right now. Currently looking at the daily and weekly charts there is no indicator that says that we are out of the bear market, so they are sitting on their position. When the trend finally turns, that's when the FOMO short covering rally will start... if ever.
6839  Economy / Speculation / Re: Issues with contact less payments. on: March 03, 2019, 07:08:59 AM
Are you guys referring to the Visa Paywave or the Mastercard Paypall contactless payments? If I recall those usually have a max limit of transactions per day and a max dollar value limit per transaction.

I also don't think you can go to an ATM and actually withdraw cash, its only for payments like at a grocery store or gas station. The limit is $100 CAD here in Canada. Anything over and it requires the pin.

6840  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do the Bitcoin casinos are based on blockchain? on: March 03, 2019, 06:54:32 AM
I think what you are asking is if all the Crypto casinos are based on cryptography which is used to determine your roll result to prove you are not being cheated correct?

In a regular casino you go to the table and whatever result comes out of the Roulette wheel you just need to trust it wasn't manipulated. No way to check 100% you weren't cheated. Just need to rely on casino regulations.

With bitcoin online casinos, and games like dice its very easy to prove you are not being cheated because of the provably fair method.

You are given a hashed seed before you start your rolls and your rolls afterwards will all use the same unhashed seed to determine the roll result. After you are done betting, you are given the unhashed seed and can prove you weren't cheated.

Hopefully this is what you are asking for.
