Right, Norwich 2021 is not Norwich 2019 at all, I got that now. And City could have easily scored a few more. Also, Watford, some brave chances but Brighton continued their bright start. Liverpool got the win, but we're still looking at Chelsea and United to continue getting their wins.

Hedging the bets, let's take a single, 100 units at Sportsbet on Arsenal @4.70. No odds advantage.
Bet ID: 61212d9a76da0f345cec2942

And then Koln, we've loved them before for great upsets, so 100 units at Fairlay on Koln to win vs Bayern @16.5. Other odds: 14.7
Units advantage: 180

Running advantage after 16 bets: +1500 (+180)
All-time cumulative: +69,878
Running units after 13 bets (3W|10L): +2,477 (-200)

Belated congratulations to everyone who hit any or all of the last two Blackjacks! I couldn't believe it either for both, and last night was such a late game if jeremypwr hadn't tagged it here I wouldn't have seen it as was not at computer. Promptly found a place to connect and put my bets down.

PSG: 1 bust, 2 wins
Barca: 1 bust, 1 win

All hail!
6823  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [FEEDBACK] Moneypot | Wallet | "Chaumian Bank" | Provable Nologs | Lightning ϟ | on: August 22, 2021, 07:17:23 AM
Old Moneypot user here, and actually even used it when they were bought over by MonsterByte (IIRC). They did have one pretty good use case back then (a free/instant transfer in between all dapps connected to the network). Wonder if you might look into doing that as well, encourage sites/services to use your wallet and all users can transfer between apps. Might even help with privacy, though I do see Lightning could absorb a lot of that advantage.

On my "to check out" list.
6824  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase heads toward Japan on: August 21, 2021, 09:11:42 PM
Honestly, can't wait for Coinbase to properly serve EU and then Southeast Asia (Japan is in East Asia and India South Asia) but the small tiger economies of Southeast Asia have for many years now been hungry for uptake of Bitcoin, and while we still have a lot of viable options (even strong localbitcoin presence), I do see that running on borrowed time with regulators getting edgier by the day.
6825  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin @ $50k on: August 21, 2021, 07:29:18 PM
An entire month now of higher highs on the weekends, always starting on Friday, stretching a couple of days, and then pullback mid-week. Don't know about you guys but that really looks like momentum building en route to ATH test.

Really looks like 50k could be the marker for the rally everyone's waiting for but I personally think the ATH will be the catalyst; we're going to be oscillating like the last 4 weeks in higher ranges until 60k.
6826  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: August 21, 2021, 06:19:40 PM
What a start for me in the second round of this premier league pool. 9.5 points in just 5 matches for me is incredible and all results were close. All 5 are in green too bad the VAR disallowed the Newcastle goal could have gotten 1.5 points more and tie the first place for this round
Almost the same with me. Got all correct outcomes but not a single correct score. I am always missing that small piece of luck needed to score all three points. Had 2:1 in Newcastle game so that goal would have given me full 3 points as well. Also had Liverpool as 3:0 and Salah goal got disallowed in that game. Gunning for all three slam points in this round Smiley

And this is precisely what I say. Just pick the favourites when you can, and where there are not any obvious ones, as hilarious so accurately predicted, then you go for the draw.

3 slam points are way easier to get than trying to be too smart. That is an entire exact score outcome.

Watford losing away as expected. But I thought I had a chance betting on them...
6827  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin @ $50k on: August 21, 2021, 01:16:40 PM
Bitcoin is showing good signs of gains after breaking through the $48k resistance area, fueling hopes that the bitcoin price may hit a new all-time high. It is very important for Bitcoin to stay above the $48k level going forward. Therefore the price of Bitcoin will soon push to the position of $50k.

Be nice if each week, the previous week's resistance becomes the 7day support but it does seem to also break by Wednesday, so still cannot really feel any certainty for how markets might move when either side finally decides to go for the break.

The bears will be demoralised though this entire August unable to sustain any downward pressure. 50k today or tomorrow and then they might, might just give up.

Following the game live text updates from mobile, just saw Salah had a goal chalked off so damn haha. He was my pick for MajSev.

Also just read that Pulisic will miss tomorrow cause of covid in self isolation, so narrowly missed that one as he was my pick for the Chelsea game. Who already had Jota done and dusted?
6829  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: August 21, 2021, 11:02:52 AM
Shared the pool in Sportsbet (ClubTalk) but can't share links without it getting censored so am not sure it's pulling anyone new into bitcointalk, but I'll try and remember to see if we could do that earlier next season. Still, 46 players in isn't bad considering how close to $100 the fee is right now (and will likely be for latecomers haha).

Liverpool correct score superboost is active now (20%), so you can still get a fairly decent price for 2:1 or thereabouts. Burnley's a tough proposition and will defend deep away, but as Trofo says, Anfield advantage is big and guys like Salah, Bobby especially feed off the energy to some extremes so I snagged a 4:0 bet for over 16/1.

Not even available to watch the early game plus afternoon ones, am on the road. But Teemu Pukki showing up and helping Norwich beat Citeh? I got money on them at 26/1;)

Don't forget to tune in to Clubhouse Radio, in-play offers and freebets (and a lot better than the foreign audio I got):

Good luck gentlemen!

Verified myself some time back already. My policy has always been that if the site requires KYC, might as well do it or be ready to do it. Hate the idea of being blindsided with KYC and risk getting funds withheld if not able to complete. Just checked and the old limits are still in place, though I wonder also how they'd be doing withdrawals for the EU now that they're clamped down on old routes.
6831  Economy / Gambling discussion / Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +69698 units on: August 21, 2021, 08:57:51 AM
Yikes Stuttgart, scrambling all over the place and showing nothing for their troubles, letting in 4 against them instead.

EPL is where my heart is, and Watford looked really good last week, while Brighton are starting bright too, but I wonder if the Hornets can snag a tight game? Tie that into a HT lead for Liverpool.

100 units at Sportsbet on Watford WIN and Liverpool HT WIN @10.62. Other odds: 9.90

And there's this huge boosted special at Stake of double winnings on this acca, so while actual odds are a tad lower, the special double is impossible to ignore.

100 units at Stake on Liverpool, Man Utd, Chelsea WIN @6.98. Other odds: 3.89.
Bet ID: sport:14188283

Edit: How could I forget?! 100 units at Fairlay on Norwich to WIN vs Manchester City @26.00. Other odds: 21.80.

Total units advantage: 72+311+420 = 803

Running advantage after 14 bets: +1320 (+803)
All-time cumulative: +69,698
Running units after 11 bets (3W|8L): +2,677 (-100)
6832  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for Afghanistan and Taiwan on: August 21, 2021, 07:51:32 AM
It's a great store (and transport) of value, yes. But it's also a really useful anti-censorship transmission of money.
Bitcoin as posted above is a perfect store, transport and anti-censorship of wealth,
when the Taliban take full control of the country restrictions and limits will be in
place  until there is a change, Bitcoin is the wealth safehaven.

Afghanistan's right at the heart of all empires from East, West, Central. And even in the past few decades it's seen upheavals, so yeah, it's going to be hard for anyone anywhere there to rely on fiat, whether it's the local currency or a foreign one like USD that's of course going to be sanctioned against there.

Bitcoin does work, but perhaps not everyone there is able to take advantage. Those who can are already fleeing.

Was so tired last night that I actually couldn't stay awake for any games, but I did wake up not long after the game ended, counted the score on livescores and saw 21. Impossible to not go and check the bet but it hadn't settled by then.

But yes, last night's bet had a max of 4.99 -- I always click max bet. I thought for a while about it, wondering if Brest was going to be so bad we'd get a bust on goals. Turns out we did need the 6 goals. What an awesome match, and yeah icopress, PSG did it for us twice now. I hate rooting for them but, when you get a di Maria goal in injury time like this, how do you not cheer for 'em, right?

I absolutely agree with you
but you must also consider the greatness of the nation

in any case in the past he gave us glorious players like VanBasten, much loved in Italy and also very good

he was Dutch wasn't he?

Aye, perhaps. But Malaysia in the 1970s reigned supreme in Asia, and had great footballers with incredible minds. Can't always live in the past, and they've never recovered from their highs of 50 years ago.

Salah maybe also now reminds people of what Egypt can be capable of producing but it doesn't prove Egypt's a great footballing nation. Many examples to cherry pick of course, but I said what I said about Eredivisie on current form=)
6837  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: August 20, 2021, 01:21:24 PM
Anyone taking the 15/1 special of two nights ago on home teams in UCL and Europa would have been laughing to the bank. Made some really cool gains myself with different selections, but 3 of the 4 legs also from that special. Hope you guys caught that!

The 30/1 BTTS on Championship busted though, with 3/10 teams failing to score...

PSG and Leipzig featuring heavily today in the specials (BTTS at 7/1), but because I've got Stuttgart to win away at Leipzig, I'm avoiding both -- odds have been notching down every hour for Red Bull though, so you might want to take the PSG/Leipzig/Real Betis 32/10 special active right now.

Odds too small for me though =p I might want to start counting wins/losses from the next 10/1  ++ odd special I take!
6838  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-08-15 Nasdaq - Profiting Big From Bitcoin DCA on: August 20, 2021, 10:50:43 AM
I guess a question would be:  If you have the cash now, is it smarter to do it all at once or DCA over a period of time?   Certainly if you don't have the fiat now, DCA is smart.  If you do have it now and the alternative is to invest it over 4 years (roughly the time period in the article), I think the better advice is to just buy it all now or as there are dips and then don't trade it.

As for $1 million, if enough people are buying then it could easily happen.  1 to 3 more orders of magnitude is certainly possible until there is some sort of fiat equilibrium reached.

This actually made me think now that there are several kinds of DCA:
1. Buying a fixed fiat amount at regular intervals, which I suppose is the true DCA strategy of enforced savings, since it averages out the dollar buys.
2. Buying a variable fiat amount at fixed intervals -- e.g. Whatever is left aside every X weeks is put into buying BTC. This is my DCA, albeit, in reverse: I earn in crypto (BTC mainly), and sell what I need to pay bills and expenses a month ahead, and whatever's left, I send to my wallet.
3. Buying at a variable interval at a fiat threshold amount, which is probably what a lot of people do in smaller economies. That is, whenever they're able to save $100, then they buy Bitcoin. This I say because it's not always possible for everyone in all economies to save $50 or $100 in a month or two. And I know already some people saving up like this to buy BTC regardless of price, but whenever they have $100. The threshold isn't really arbitrary either, but you pay dearly in commissions and fees when buying below certain limits.

6840  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- now at: 21/22 3rd Qualifying Round on: August 20, 2021, 09:28:00 AM
I get that PSV is a good team, they are not a bad team at all, and I like to watch them too, but Benfica didn't really shock the pundits and all when they won, they were always a great team and they won, it was that simple, so why would it be that weird for them to actually end up with a win again? I mean think about it, they won once, how could it be 3.70 for them to end up winning once again? That doesn't make sense.

I always find the Dutch teams a little soft, wobbly when it matters, you know? Good football for sure, and we don't need to be reminded of how exciting they can be as a national team but even Ajax, the silkiest team from Eredivisie, looks suspect every time they come up against other European opposition.

Benfica deserved the win, and I'm also backing them to not lose the next leg. 3.7 is just a reflection of the away tie, how strong PSV are at home, and conversely, how defensively Benfica are expected to play away + all those Dutch bets on the home team;)
