6821  Economy / Economics / Re: Centralized or Decentralized for cryptocurrencies? on: September 27, 2018, 12:42:37 AM
Is "Centralized Cryptocurrency" even a thing?

Here are the most important qualities a true Cryptocurrency must have:
A true Cryptocurrency must be decentralized, public, trustless, permissionless, immutable, transparent, uncensorable.
These should also be very important rules of Cryptocurrency which developers must try to stick with. Exchanges ordinarily should not list Cryptocurrencies that Break the rules.
6822  Economy / Economics / Re: Companies that are scary on: September 27, 2018, 12:22:50 AM
Twitter was a bit scary few months. I believe they listens to conversations under the pretext of serving personalized advertisements?  I mentioned a rare word and found it later in my twitter feed as advertisement. I think they stopped this though or maybe because I covered most of the openings on my phone with tapes. .
6823  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is technical analysis vital? on: September 27, 2018, 12:12:22 AM
I traded with alot of charts in my early days of Crypto Trading which I learned as a Forex trader. It didn't really work very well for me unless i make the chat very simple or I use the basic ones.

The simple ones work great. The  complex ones just complicate things and don't usually work.
6824  Economy / Economics / Re: Federal Reserve Bank on: September 27, 2018, 12:07:42 AM
Shake my head at people who think all conspiracy theorists are delusional or insane. You probably have seen nothing yet or it's part of your job to ridicule these people. Please be careful with life. Let your researches be thorough.
I was once like you, ridiculing the so called conspiracy theorists. I honestly thought I was smarter and the conspiracy people were  ignorant  rebellious and dumb until the unexplainable happened and they covered it up. My view on this issues changed ever since.
6825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When an ALT gets listed on exchange how is the price determined? on: September 26, 2018, 05:07:07 PM
Hey guys,

Question I have is: once an ICO is over and later an ALT coin/token gets listed on exchange, how is the price of the ALT determined?

Is there for example a formula that is used by exchanges based on ICO sale price or is it just pure supply/demand? So in the case of the latter, does the exchange simply list the coin and let the buy/sell orders drive the price?

Also to add to this question, if an ICO decided to give away ALL it's coins/tokens as an airdrop, can it still be listed on exchange? Or that would not be possible?

Look forward to feedback on this.

Guess the Exchange price of Cryptocurrencies are based mostly on their demands. If a Coin has irresistible potential,  it will be in high demand and the value will further increase.  If it  has little potential and the quality is low, most people will dump it and the price will fall. Though dumping of coins immediately after listing on exchange or airdrop distribution don't usually determine the potential/quantity of a Cryptocurrency. The dumper are there for short-term gains or they don't care about the project.
6826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Jobless No More on: September 26, 2018, 04:41:44 PM
We know that there are many jobless people around world who’s suffering because they don’t have a job or they don’t qualified for the job they want.
if they know or someone introduce them about cryptocurrencies activities they have the opportunity to earn while at home or wherever they are, there are so many easiest ways to earn here , like Airdrops, bounty campaigns and many more, the only requirements here in cryptocurrency world is your knowledge and efforts,
no more resumes and any other documents to be needed.

When everyone knows about cryptocurrencies activities I think no more jobless people out there.

cheating action will also be more and more and the allocation for bounty or airdrop campaigns will decrease and the bounty will not be eliminated.

Is this what you are worried about? lol. You would not here if the older members had thought about you this way.

Crypto needs adoption. With more adoption the market will grow, coin will circulate, Crypto Companies will make more money, more jobs and wealthy people will be created

Loyalty usually comes from someone you help make a better person. Those whose lives were transformed by Cryptocurrency could be the most loyal to  Cryptocurrency. We need such people more than those who  have already. Do not think like this. This is one of the reasons most countries are stuck in underdevelopment.
6827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto like a fulltime job on: September 26, 2018, 04:32:47 PM
It will grow as much as the demand for Cryptocurrency. Company owners and Employers don't need to feel insecure about Cryptocurrency. If their products and services are great and useful people will still demand for them. If an employee resigns, a new one will come. Don't go scheming with politicians to outlaw Cryptocurrency. In fact, more money in the hands of your fellow countrymen means more consumption for your products and services
6828  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: High risk results to high rewards on: September 26, 2018, 04:18:58 PM
Your friend and the 4 percent of Americans who don't like Bitcoin/Cryptocurrency are probably not well informed about it, were inexperienced,  impatient and lost lots of money.
Forex is riskier.  It gives little returns.. . Not for small players. Stock gives little returns.. . Not advisable for small players. Bitcoin always reward the patient and those willing to learn.
6829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do we need so many stablecoins? on: September 26, 2018, 04:15:07 PM
Same reason we need Seatbelt and Helmets. It's common sense to add such safety measure to Cryptocurrency wallets and exchanges otherwise the Cryptocurrency World would be alot more risky and dangerous .

If you have a Car Racing Company and you want more people to use the cars, I guess the normal thing to do is to add some basic protections like seatbelts, helmets and others.
6830  Economy / Economics / Re: Differences between the developed countries and developing countires on: September 26, 2018, 09:58:15 AM
The main difference in my opinion should be quality of service and not really industrialization or buildings. It'd be lovely to live somewhere close to nature or in a village with great quality Healthcare, Security, Education, insurance, Food market,
I think this can be achieved with Blockchain/Cryptocurrency.

Cities are not just my thing. They are just too metallic and artificial for me.
6831  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is anonymity the future for bitcoin??? on: September 26, 2018, 09:55:10 AM
I love the transparency of Blockchain.  Some companies are taking advantage of this very important feature unfortunately . I wish it was possible to have transparent Blockchain with very anonymized transactions... It should be the kind of anonymity that is difficult or impossible to deanonymize.

I don't really like the idea of total anonymity. The Community and the World should be able to monitor all Blockchains and their activities without necessarily knowing the true identity of the users.  However things don't work this way in real World where total privacy of asset/currency is possible.
6832  Economy / Economics / Re: Google is ending its sweeping ban on cryptocurrency-related advertising. on: September 26, 2018, 09:44:40 AM
Quote
to allow regulated crypto exchanges to buy ads in the United States and Japan.

"Regulated" here obviously means Government controlled = centralized exchanges.
... So basically they are trying to allow centralized Cryptocurrency Exchanges to buy ads... Then slowly the Crypto World will be dominated by Centralized Wolves in sheep clothing.
Hopefully they don't also begin allowing the promotion of Centralized Cryptocurrencies (fake Cryptocurrencies).
6833  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and Fiat - this is how I see the future on: September 26, 2018, 09:39:28 AM
Have you even considered the disadvantages? Don't get carried away too easily ... too much power to the government will only attract  power hungry people. People need to learn from history.
Governments have too much unchecked powers already. They are run by complete strangers you know nothing about but you think you know very well.

I guess too much news is making us so dumb. Maybe less News especially from deceptive media will bring common sense back to Societies.
6834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How could war affect crypto? on: September 26, 2018, 09:05:16 AM
Cryptocurrency will survive as long as the Internet exists. It may likely be the only functional global payment system.

My only doubts though are Crypto Mining and acceptability of Cryptocurrency. The big miners will most likely be affected. Wonder what will become of transaction processing if such miners don't mine then?
And who will even accept Cryptocurrencies in times of acute food and water shortage?
6835  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How you can easily tell bitcoin is now a govt backed scam on: September 26, 2018, 08:51:05 AM
Your post are funny.
Wonder why you think they're government shills. Why exactly would government shill Bitcoin. I have gone through the steemit article and didn't see any connection.
You mean thesame government people who come out once in a while telling us why they think Bitcoin will be worthless soon will shill Bitcoin?
6836  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Legalities of Bitcoin on: September 24, 2018, 07:51:46 PM
This doesn't really matter in my opinion. I think the governments will eventually realize that this is beyond their control uless they want to take a tougher approach.
It makes no sense to ban Cryptocurrency same way it makes no sense to ban Precious Metals like Gold. They cannot successfully ban Cryptocurrency anyway. China have tried it, seems they failed.

I think Legalization of  Cryptocurrency will only lead to complacency in Cryptocurrency community, with more dependent on Centralized exchanges and less focus on decentralized ones. Dependent on centralized exchanges means they will have strong control over Cryptocurrency and can manipulate or censor things as they wish.
6837  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I went bankrupt when I joined in cryptocurrency on: September 24, 2018, 07:44:15 PM
The couple made some mistakes:  they traded with money they could not afford to lose...they probably didn't do enough research in this aspect. They were in it for the wrong reason - to get rich quick because they heard many became millionaires through Bitcoin.
What happened was unfortunate. It is not unique to Bitcoin. People lose money in Stock Market thesame way.

Do invest what you can afford to lose whether you are investing in Stocks, Cryptocurrency or Precious metals.
6838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Juventus Football Club Will Launch Its Own Token! on: September 24, 2018, 03:36:12 PM
I see nothing wrong with this as long as it attracts some more investment for the club, make their projects more transparent and participatory. But a Footballing club launching its own Cryptocurrency will likely make government people  mad. I mean, how will they even  get the club taxed? Will they tolerate outside( non-citizens), investors, will it be a privacy coin? Don't mess with them government with this one lol

I see some extra important use case for the Club coin though, like for online gaming, predictions thing, gambling, lottery, shopping, tourism, ticketing, donation...

Players and supporters could be so emotionally attached to such coin that it begins to piss off the governments.
6839  Economy / Economics / Re: Technology improves we work more. on: September 20, 2018, 10:34:35 PM
The goal of technology was for everyone to have easier lives and work less. Well todays generations have it much tougher.  They are working for much lower wages and longer hours.  Its next to impossible for millenials to purchase a house on their own.  Something here itsn't right, Capitalism?

I think Technology should only make work easy and quick for people so they can move on to solving other important problems.
I don't want to work less (It is a scary idea to me) neither do I want to do things I hate.
We need to solve problems, and possibly work hard otherwise you'll rot away.

Ofcourse, people must be paid well after working so they can afford to live quality lives. I am not against welfare payments atall as long as they are not coming from unsustainable sources. Welfare could be funded like insurance or through special taxes.
6840  Economy / Economics / Re: Reliable lending in blockchain ecosystem on: September 20, 2018, 10:27:17 PM
It is a good idea. There are some decentralized lending platforms and many centralized ones available though. I think https://ethlend.io/en/ is one of the most popular one but it only use Ethereum tokens(not very sure) as collateral.

I think current lending platforms need to go beyond using Er20 tokens as collateral . It should be possible to use verifiable web  assets with ownership rights
that is transferable to smart contract of lending platform.

Identity and reputation can also play important role in the lending businesses. A decentralized reputation/identify platform like https://get-scatter.com can be helpful in this regard.
