6821  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bull or bull trap on: May 22, 2019, 11:14:23 AM

Long way? I am more optimistic now that $10,000 will be achieve soon.

What Bitcoin needs to do is just break the barrier or resistance and then we can sour high.
W have stayed at this price longer already, but we never go down.. hmm. we did once but easily recovered.
Next price action would be pump, then reaching $10,000 would not be that hard anymore.

I was not prepared to believe it but after seeing the performance since April and even the way it fought the crash of price that happened so suddenly and took everyone by surprise,,, I guess now I will say that I can change my mind about 10000 and with more than half of the year left to see this out, I cannot see why not? It is closer to 10k than it is to 5k.
6822  Economy / Economics / Re: What's it like to live on crypto instead of Banks? on: May 22, 2019, 08:44:42 AM

The truth would be something great, because not depend on the banks is something that I have always dreamed, but I always think that if there is any failure in the electricity or internet service, how is it done? For example if you want to make a market, and if this failure occurs, how can you acquire these goods and services? I think that we should do or invent some kind of technology that achieves or allows off-line transactions, either by satellites or something similar because I think this is the only problem that can exist between banking with crypto.

Money FIAT always offers ease to acquire goods and services, and this is given by banking, however, if we had a world where everything is handled only through Crypto, purchases and everything would be much faster, would eliminate the possible queues in supermarkets, and in any establishment that is willing to generate goods and services.
Really the world would be anticipating the future in an impressive way, because everything would be in a matter of seconds. People would only have a card that provides all their purchases by code and many times if not, having the public and private key would be enough.

It is not fiat that has done all these things,,, you have to remember, it is money. And fiat is one form of that money. In the days before fiat they also had money and these all served the same purposes,,, to acquire goods and services. Banks just took over that control as did the states, and created something quite new and different entirely, but same is still money.

Bitcoin is that newest form now:)
6823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Upcoming potential ICOs/IEOs on: May 22, 2019, 08:03:37 AM
indeed there is no good IEO or ICO right now, everything leads to a scam, many platforms fail and are not responsible, for investment I entrust bitcoin that can provide long-term benefits.

I was so glad I was not stupid enough to fall to temptation. Seeing the x5 gains on some of the IEOs was so tempting I admit, but then the profits went to x3 or even just above x1.

The last two IEOs I saw Ocean and Veritrade both on Bittrex, after the first listing of veritrade, the profits came only on 1 day then after that dumped all the way until today in less than one month.

The other one was even worse, only listed last week. Dumped 85% in the same day. Such scammy attitudes from exchanges,,,
6824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: IEO - new ICO? what is difference? on: May 22, 2019, 06:24:20 AM
You do realize,,, actually in terms of practical use, there is no difference at all with IEO, ICO and STO right?

Sure, some are more legal than others, some are more riskier than others, if you think being legal and vetted means you are safe,,, but in the end they are all the same. Look at Bittrex IEOs the past 2 were dumped so much people lost 85% in 2 days.
6825  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy Bitcoin Pizza Day! on: May 22, 2019, 05:21:15 AM

I saw the 60 Minutes segment with the guy who spent 10,000 BTC, and he says he is not upset that he spent it. Actually, he lives in a nice home and has a nice standard of living. I believe Satoshi sent him that amount based on his contributions to the nascent network. According to today's valuation, that would be worth about $800 million.
I am asking myself here why do I keep seeing this $800 million figure used by you and all the publications? According to my calculations, 10000 Bitcoins is actually only worth $80 million at the price of today. Is something missing from my calculations or is Anderson Cooper the famous journalist and all the other news publications making a mistake?
6826  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be the main currency in Mars? on: May 21, 2019, 10:06:18 AM
All you guys are obviously mostly not ever used Bitcoin. Even here on Earth it is so hard to find people willing to take your Bitcoin, unless they are a merchant who uses Bitpay maybe. You think Bitpay will set up on Mars? Because if they do not then you have to find merchants willing to take Bitcoin directly. If you cannot find them here, what makes you think they will be found on Mars?

People on Mars will be using fiat first before Bitcoin or any other crypto.
6827  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tottenham Vs LiverPool UEFA Final on: May 21, 2019, 08:56:53 AM
11 more days to the match. I can see here there are so few Spurs supporters but that is okay;) I have been supporting these guys since more than 10 years ago. My favorite guy was Jermain Defoe,,, but we had incredible players too. Berbatov was so skilful until he left to United, and we always had good attacking styles.

Today it is our time and I know Liverpool are so strong but to be in the final is already so amazing.
6828  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TRADENANCE - PUBLIC REGISTRATION MAY 29TH 2019 on: May 21, 2019, 08:07:08 AM
No need to say guarantee profit. No need to impress with the big numbers,,, right guys?

Just show us your skills. Post your trades as they happen,,, and then the results the next day. Show us the actual trades as well not just the signals. Then count and calculate every day your profit. And if you are right,,, 2.75% daily means after only 10 days without compounding you get 27.5% profit. Show it to us!
6829  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔶 YOLOdice.com 🔶 - fast, fair, rakeback, bonuses BTC ETH LTC DOGE on: May 21, 2019, 06:10:49 AM
Its a perspective matter then but if you want to compare the site with faster speed and have normal house edge with lower speed higher house edge, I believe everyone know this answer here. It is like what you said faster win and faster lose as well but when you have this win, it will save your time and you will be able to get your money faster instead of keep on playing again. So speed is everything when it cines to a dice game

Of course it is perspective,,, but that perspective is quite important for the majority of players, and I will say I am part of that majority. We play small, we have a small bankroll, and we do try to aim for higher levels so that we can take advantage of the bigger rakebacks, and perhaps even bigger bonuses. For example like me, I am almost at Level 5 where I can finally chat if I want to (I am not a big chatter but who knows?).

But to achieve a high level I need to wager a lot. But if I have a small bankroll, I only can have a small strategy. If the speed is limited, it will take me longer to reach my wagering.

Speed is NOT everything though. Provably fair and house edge is, to me:)
6830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty that paid you some good reward on: May 21, 2019, 04:56:42 AM
I have been very lucky on these forums. Ever since I joined I had the opportunity to participate in very good bounties, that had tough leadership and managers, but they rewarded us participants well,,, up to the time I am in one today. A good manager, good rules, strict, and yet with good rewards.

The exception was 2 campaigns I joined just before this,,, where the bounty was in alts. I got the rewards for 1, which is until today not listed, and for another not even distributed. Neither campaign even continued to develop, but the managers were all right. This was a case of the project not being good.
6831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: pump end or only correction? on: May 21, 2019, 04:24:57 AM
Hard to say if we want to be honest,,, everything actually definitely looks like a pump. If you remember the mystery whale buy in April and every week after that just crazy pumps with no news and with no volumes,,, and then the correction even only lasted a few days before another sudden move into 8k for BTC and 250 for ETH. Still feels like a pump.
6832  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you always invest in top ranked coins? on: May 20, 2019, 10:42:44 AM
for some reason yes, i will buy a top ranked coin in cmc
but, when i see a good and potential coins in the lower rank, i will drop my money there too buddy

That is the 2017 tactic,,, it does not work anymore my friend. I look back in my past history and am thankful I invested most of my buys into top ranked coins, but also more importantly, projects that were alive and had existing use cases. I still have several investments from what looked like good potential coins but they had no USE cases. Could not buy anything with them could not use them for apps,,, and eventually they just died not just in terms of price but activity. That is why it should be wise to stick to top ranked coins for a solid foundation.
6833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which exchange is going to be the next high volume Altcoin exchange? on: May 20, 2019, 10:10:41 AM
Cryptopia fell apart. But before it did, it was an easy to use exchange with fairly high volume.
Who is replacing it now?

Bittrex always had good volumes for alts, and their login stats always show you which alt coins had the most change in volume and in price. I use the volume setting to show me the top coins also so that is one very useful way to see which alts are getting popular,,, at least in the terms of trading!
6834  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading tips on: May 20, 2019, 08:54:38 AM
And it is not necessary that a person starts gathering knowledge while trading because he may faces with loss or any difficulty which is possible in such situations. Therefore, new traders are now serious about this fact not to perform even a single mistake that is the reason they are learning and getting through overall process after that they can do anything easily without getting worried about anything.

You can gain knowledge for anything before starting it, and especially this is important with something like trading -- after all,,, you lose money if you do not learn. Then again,,, they also say that mistakes make you learn, no pain no gain is also a common phrase.

It is just something you cannot put a finger on really. So the only way to gain satisfaction is to do everything yourself. Not take tips or advice, unless you try out your own ways first and find what makes you satisfied. Profit or loss not included;)
6835  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: best wallet for multiple transactions and api on: May 20, 2019, 08:13:22 AM
The other thing is to ask a few site owners active here on this forum to tell you what wallet they use. Maybe you have to build up a good reputation first to get them to reply, but you will get solid experience.

The other thing I suggest is to hire a small developer to show you some examples. You do not have to make a choice immediately,,, just to see what is available to choose from.
6836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP buy now or wait for more dump ? on: May 20, 2019, 06:33:22 AM
Ripple has been waiting for a long time. I'm guessing it's going to be a big price increase soon, but the time is not clear.

You and every altcoin hodler is waiting for this! To be honest,,, I was actually prepared to see it drop even further when it lost the momentum towards 50 cents and slid back towards 38 cents so now this Bitcoin recovery has us all waiting again to see what will happen.

Very strange times to see it all meander back,,, 2019 is a long time though.
6837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: buy NEO coins now? on: May 20, 2019, 06:01:18 AM
it is a quality project. NEO adopts the DBFT consensus mechanism. it will never fork. NEO is more friendly to smart contract developers and does not need to learn a new programming language. i recently purchased some NEOs. i believe it will break out again.

Never say never. They always said Bitcoin network was supposed to be immutable but even recently Binance suggested they could incentivize miners to maybe try and roll back the system. OF course,,, we also have Ethereum network to remind us that nothing is immtable.

NEO I like too,,, and of course staking for Neogas is always attractive!
6838  Economy / Gambling / Re: flashflip | PvP Gambling built right into Discord | 1% edge | Provably fair on: May 19, 2019, 05:44:22 PM

The house edge for all vs bot games is 1%. I've explained the provably fair system before. Unlike other sites, where you win if the game is "green" and you lose if the game is "red", on flashflip, players can decide which outcome they want to bet on (heads or tails, etc.), and thus there is no advantage for us in changing the occurrence of certain results, since players will just switch to those instead. The house edge manifests itself in the amount returned to the player on a win, which is 98% of their bet on a 50/50 odds game. For every 200 bits wagered, players have an expected return of 198 bits, thus a 1% house edge.

Thank you for the time to explain the response,,, yes it was a good explanation for provably fair and in fact is a slight twist on the usual format. As you said, there is no reason for the house to change the occurence of results if players can realize and switch, but I think the issue here is how to prove that the server seed does not change in the day (which very few players will take the time to prove). So I guess what I say is that, your word is good, but players need to always test the calculations themselves.

1% is a good standard also. Maybe if it is possible in Slack some day you will implement loyalty bonuses to make this house edge even lower!
6839  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the market improve in 2019? on: May 19, 2019, 05:19:42 PM
To those saying altcoins are growing,,, you should pay attention. Yes, they are growing USD wise for most part, but let us face it,,, most of us used Bitcoin to buy altcoins. Not everybody is able to have fiat options, and not everybody trades by selling into stablecoins like Tether. So the easiest and most direct is buying alts on BTC pair.

The problem with this is now in the past few weeks of Bitcoin rally, alts to BTC price have been VERY bad.
6840  Economy / Gambling / Re: Game of Thrones Finale Bet - Win 3x Bitcoins to guess the New King or Queen on: May 19, 2019, 01:33:40 PM
Guys,,, if you want to bet directly with far less risk of not getting money back, then you just need to bet with a bookie that is recognized on this forums, or even choose just freebitco.in. You will actually even get much more than 3x for some of those selections, if I am not mistaken. I do not watch this series so even if I bet it will be a pure gamble.
