6841  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 [ANN][TWIST] TWIST : Revolutionising Blockchain Accessibility 🚀 on: August 24, 2018, 04:23:00 AM
Today's volume is pretty good. I don't remember our all-time record, but maybe we're nearing it.

We reached around $40k volume for first few days when Twist got listed on cryptopia. We are far from nearing it.
6842  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Satoshi wanted the market to grow that much? on: August 23, 2018, 01:20:58 AM
Lol! Satoshi did not cared about it at all. I doubt even if (s)he thought about Bitcoin being tradable thing. He made decentralized payment processor and that is it.
6843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrop !! is it worth it ! on: August 23, 2018, 01:01:02 AM
I used to hunt for airdrops last year, you used to get good one once in a while and made decent money with it, however since project started giving penny number of tokens and large tasks, have stopped doing it.
6844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO's success is just getting listed in an exchange or more than it? on: August 22, 2018, 01:58:44 AM
Main success would be achieving what they wrote in whitepaper. In most ICOs, final product turns out to be very different (bad!) than outlined in whitepaper.
6845  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Google to ban crypto ads !! Is it good move or it will affect disastrously on: August 22, 2018, 01:56:11 AM
It's a good move. Phishers use Google ads to promote their scammy websites, with ban this isn't possible and so no victims.
6846  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: altcoin wallet suggest on: August 21, 2018, 02:52:39 AM
I am not aware of any wallet that supports all those coins. But, if you just wanna store them where you have access to private key. Then,

Xlm: http://stellarterm.com

EoS (ada is sheduled): infinito wallet (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.infinito.wallet)

VET: Vechain Thor wallet (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vechain.wallet)

On a side note, stay away from those 'free wallet' apps.

6847  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a 2 way factor for bitcoin and ERC20 digital wallet? on: August 21, 2018, 02:37:26 AM
As many have already said, Google authenticator. It is good however, make sure to backup the key — I have seen many forgetting it and then there is no way around it. Second note, wherever your Google authenticator app is installed, remember to pass/pin protect it. Otherwise anyone with access to your mobile can see 2fa codes.
6848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ENU] Enumivo: Blockchain + Universal Basic Income on: August 21, 2018, 02:27:51 AM
Get your share of 5M LTS and join @FyrusOfficial Voting
https://enumivo.com/topic/796-vote-enumivo-at-fyruspro-exchange/

In order to vote, you have to be a registered user ( follow this link https://fyrus.pro/register ) and hold at least 1000 FYR.
FYR can be acquired by signing up, depositing either BTC or ETH, and exchanging them for FYR in the slide in account menu under the "Get FYR" tab.
To access the slide in account menu, please click on the profile icon located at the top right corner of the main exchange page after logging in.
Each user can cast ONE vote for each project and each vote costs ONE FYR. Max. 5 votes per account per week. Once voted, your FYR is NOT refundable.
For a project to be qualified, the project has to receive a minimum of 1000 votes.

So we have to buy FYR essentially.

Yes that is right. But in reward you will be getting LTS, with incoming developments it can reach good price.

Since buying FYR is necessary, there will be some people who will not do this, that means more LTS for voters. It is still win-win situation.
6849  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin hit $60k in 2019? on: August 20, 2018, 11:52:35 AM
Last year, Bitcoin hit $20k from $10k in may be a week or two. So nothing is impossible.
6850  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waves Vs. Ethereum on: August 20, 2018, 04:41:06 AM
Does any one thinks that Ethereum can survive with the rising of Waves? I've heard that "Waves will be the next Ethereum"

"Waves will be next Ethereum" this statement is literally publicising ethereum. Ethereum is hell lot more popular than waves and I don't think it's going to be dethroned anytime soon.
6851  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to save my coins and tokens? on: August 19, 2018, 12:32:12 AM
Use stop-loss and convert to stable currencies when you feel so (dai, bitusd, tether, tusd,..) can be very useful in times such as now.
6852  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scam Coin's.... What should be done? on: August 19, 2018, 12:27:30 AM
Make people aware of these scams, when there will be no preys, these scammers will eventually leave it.

Could someone recommend me VPS for staking? Is it safe to stake on an "external" resource? I mean, of course it's not as safe as staking on a home computer, where i have full control over the resources, but if i only open my wallet for staking on a rented server, i am relatively safe, right?

Vermac, they are giving windows vps for ~5$/month. As it is windows you don't have to learn anything.

And for security, vps are pretty safe since only user with password have access to it.
6854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A man in UAE took six figure loan and lost 85% of his crypto value on: August 17, 2018, 11:55:37 PM
Crypthomie, a Reddit user identifying as a 32-year-old male living in Abu Dhabi, recently posted a photo of his repayment schedule pertaining to a six-figure loan that he took out on the 18th of December, 2017.

The Redditor borrowed 338,000 dirhams (roughly $126,500 USD), with a total outstanding amount of 393,296.80 dirhams ($147,200 USD) including interest from Emirates Islamic Bank. The document outlines a repayment schedule of 8194 dirhams ($3067 USD) monthly until December 14, 2021.

The investor wrote: “Here is my bank installment related to the loan I took to invest in crypto. Still three-and-a-half years to go until I’m freed. Until then, I’m working for nothing and I’m at 85 per cent loss. I hope it gives you a lesson.”

Some of the people are being harsh here.  The man took his shot and lost.  More than most of us sitting here diversifying our pennies sure not to make anything.  I respect him.  He may have been reckless but he had balls.

Agreed. A guy bought steem power by taking loan when it was at cents because he believed in it. Sometimes balls make you rekt and sometimes make you big!
6855  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Short term Trading investment or Bounty campaigns? on: August 17, 2018, 11:51:47 PM
Depends on you. Personally, I am bad at trading so I stay away from it and do good bounties.

Current market is good for investment so you may invest your money in good altcoins and hold them for medium-long term, they should give you good returns.
6856  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is the King of ICO, Do you agree? on: August 17, 2018, 03:13:33 AM
Agreed. Most ico choose ethereum as platform however projects are now gearing towards other platforms such as Neo, Ardor, Qtum. After eos becomes more stable and after release of steemit SMTs,  ICOs will become more distributed.
6857  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scam Coin's.... What should be done? on: August 17, 2018, 03:07:50 AM
Quote
putting up high ROI and huge returns compelled people to join the race

This is biggest red flag, I hope people realize this sooner rather than 'after' getting scammed.

6859  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In Venezuela, Cryptocurrency Is an Oppressor and a Lifeline on: August 16, 2018, 06:24:15 AM
Crypto is blessing for Venezuelans, have seen many of them on steemit earning good money than they would with venezuelan job.
6860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Alts Do You Support For The Long Game? on: August 16, 2018, 06:09:46 AM
My take is on these three: Accelerator Network, Enumivo and Twist.

ACC: You can mine various crypto with ACC tokens, it is PoS token on ethereum platform.

Enu: A clone and cheap version of EOS, trying to help world by bringing uncorrupted Universal Basic Income to every living being.

Twist: simplifying crypto.
