The purpose is to no longer be able to access your account, ever. E.g. if someone had a bad time here and wants to leave, I can help. If someone had a very good time here, but the forum takes too much time and they have a problem to stop I can help as well. As it was pointed out in the past, that is surely something many can do themselves, but so is baking bread or mowing the lawn. Its more convenient to have someone else take care of it. I see you've said that, I put my account for you so that you deleted posts, messages , change password,...But but I do not see what you say to the account for my return. And if you return or admin recover it, I would do with it, I need to do with it ? Do I need to change or modify something or not ? where all the information about my account you already know all...
Generally, after I use your service, I will get something back from it ?

No, you dont get the account back, that is the service I am offering. It would be possible for an admin to restore the account though. I have no say in what theymos does or does not do. I keep the passwords for 4 week to give some time in case of a hack. I want to make sure as best as I can that the victim of a hack does not lose the account because of me. For those that just need a break, to stay away for a few weeks, I also offer that I do not delete the passwords, but send them back to the owner. That is not the main reason I made the thread though. I saw many asking in meta "can you delete my account please" and thus thought I could do the next best thing for someone that wants to leave for good. |

Mind telling us what exactly you can do? As patroller or as (local board) moderator? Outside of your local board or (more general) assigned section. I imagine within your local board you have full mod rights and thus can do pretty much everything directly besides issuing a ban. |

Mitchell is ranked moderator in the section he is moderating (dutch local) but ranked "Staff" elsewhere. Thus aside from the dutch local section he has no power, but to nuke and otherwise act against newbies. Everything else has to be reported. I wouldn't say that patrollers have no power, but yeah, I can't do a lot outside my board. Mind telling us what exactly you can do? |

The first value fits the timestamp from the block the TX is in[1]. Nur welche wirtschaftlichen Vorteile bieten Bitcoins der Gesellschaft bzw. den Unternehmen und Kunden?
Hier habe ich, wie meine Fragen erkennen lassen, mehrere Theorien.
Eine ist bspw. dass Bitcoins zur Wohlfahrtssteigerung beitragen. Es ist bekannt, dass die Transparenz der Kosten für Konten nicht wirklich gegeben ist und viele Menschen (selbst in der EU) keinen Zugriff auf ein "Basiskonto" haben, sei es aufgrund ihrer finanziellen Situation oder ihrer Herkunft. Bitcoin soll hier eine Art Lösung darstellen, da es prinzipiell von jedem kostenfrei genutzt werden kann, alle sich gleichberechtigt gegenüber stehen (Peer2Peer) und ein Kontowechsel einfach ist, da man mehrere Adressen bzw. Konten nutzen kann.
Das klingt jetzt zwar weniger wirtschaftlich Argumentiert als philosophisch, aber ich denke Bitcoin bzw. Cryptowährungen auf Basis eines freien Internets sind mit der Emanzipation (Kant'sche Aufklärung) vergleichbar. Was damals die Kirchen bzw. der Glaube war ist nun das Bankwesen. Es wird in Zukunft weiterhin Banken geben, genau so wie es jetzt auch noch Kirchen gibt, nur wird die Relevanz drastisch abnehmen. Ich weiß nicht ob es Zahlen gibt was das Bankensystem bzw. die Produktion von FIAT so an Kosten verursacht, aber ich kann mir vorstellen das Bitcoin in diesem Bereich deutlich besser abschneidet. Mein zweiter Gedanke war, dass Unternehmen und Bürger den Einsatz von Bitcoins fordern werden bzw. können, da es keine ausreichende Rechtsmittel für einen Nutzungszwang von Bankengeld gibt. Meine Argumentation würde, also zur Erklärung des Users Aswan passen, wobei ich nicht weiß wo ich diese Regelung im Gesetzt finde, dass im Grunde egal ist was ein gesetzliches Zahlungsmittel ist und was nicht, da das "Tauschmittel" im Vertrag festgelegt wird, seien es jetzt Euros, Kartoffeln oder Bitcoins. Da muss ich wohl nochmal im Gesetzt stöbern.....
Für Unternehmen ist Bitcoin aus diversen Gründen Interesant. Insbesondere die geringen Gebühren und die sofortige Kontrolle sind meiner Meinung nach die entscheidenden Punkte. Solange der Einkauf aber immer noch in FIAT erfolgt wird Bitcoin maximal parallel laufen. Dabei ist Bitcoin gerade für den Handel über "Währungsgrenzen" hinweg wirklich gut geeignet. Wie herzmeister aber schon sagt kann es für einen langfristigen Erfolg von Bitcoin durchaus reichen parallel zu laufen. Das letzte Argument, dass ich sicher noch einbringen möchte ich der Wachstum in den typischen Bitcoin-Segmenten, sprich Beriche in denen Bitcoin-Zahlungen von Vorteil sind. Hier wurden neben den illegalen Geschäften (Silk-Road) auch noch Glücksspiel und der Erwerb von digitalen Gütern genannt. Gibt es Quellen die belegen, wofür Bitcoin eingesetzt wird? Ich habe bisher nur Quellen gefunden, die etwas allgemeiner sind und von Gutscheinen, Edelmetallen und "E-Commerce" sprechen, jedoch nie die einzelnen Marktsegmente unterscheiden. Wenn ich eine Quelle zu der hohen Nutzung von Bitcoin-Zahlungen in diesen 2 Bereichen hätte, könnte ich womöglich so argumentieren, dass diese Unternehmen von der Bitcoin-Verbreitung und Akzeptanz sicher profitieren würden.
Ein Blick in den (internationalen) Handelsbereich im Forum zeigt ziemlich deutlich womit primär gehandelt wird. Das Ranking ist eine persönliche Einschätzung und wie für so vieles kann ich Dir leider keine Quellen nennen. Drogen (Silk Road) sind ausgenommen, da ich in dem Bereich keine Erfahrungen habe. #1 Glücksspiel #2 illegal erworbene digitale Güter, wie z.B. Produkt Keys die so nicht getauscht werden dürften (MS Keys), mit (mutmaßlich) gestohlenen Kreditkarten gekaufte Geschenkkarten, etc. #3 legal erwordbene digitale Güter, wie z.B. Produkt Keys die übertragbar sind #4 Kredite, primär zur Finanzierung von #1 #4 Edelmetalle (Gold-, Silver-, Bronzemünzen, -barren etc.) #4 Marketing Nochmals vielen Dank für euren Unterstützung, ich werde sicherlich in den nächsten Tagen/Wochen noch ein paar Fragen hier stellen und hoffe weiter auf solche tollen Beiträge.
Vielleicht bietet sich ja für Deine Arbeit auch eine explorative herangehensweise an. Um z.B. einschätzen zu können wie Groß welcher Bereich ist könntest Du die hier getätigten Handel analysieren. Die Adressen und Beträge sind oft öffentlich bekannt und können mit den Zahlen der großen Casinos und Börsen sowie dem restlichen Handelsvolumen pro Block verglichen werden. |

Ich habe mich gerade hier registriert, da ich zurzeit eine wissenschaftliche Arbeit über das Thema Bitcoin verfasse und ich bei einigen Themen noch Fragen habe.
Da dacht ich mir, ich frag am besten euch Experten hier im Forum.
1. Meine erste Frage bezieht sich auf die Kosten einer Bitcoin-Transaktion. Viele Quellen sprechen von keinen Kosten, einige aber von 0,0005 Bitcoins pro Transaktion. So wie ich das verstanden habe ist eine Transaktion grundsätzlich (!) kostenfrei, da die Gebühr freiwillig ist und die Transaktions-Bestätigung nur beschleunigt, da Miner diese Transaktion dann schneller "berechnen" werden. Hab ich das richtig verstanden? Gibts dafür irgendeine Form von Quelle die für eine wissenschaftliche Arbeit zitierfähig ist?

Zur Ökonomie haben hier andere schon genug geschrieben, da halt ich mich raus. In wie fern das wissenschaftlich zitierbar irgendwo steht überlass ich ebenfalls anderen. Generell ist eine Transaktion (TX) kostenfrei. Es gibt aber ein paar Regeln die beachtet werden müssen wenn man Bitcoin auch tatsächlich praktisch nutzen möchte. Um eine kostenlose TX bestätigt zu bekommen muss die Priorität hoch genug sein. Die Faustregel für eine Priorität die hoch genug ist, ist der Bitcointag. 1 Bitcoin mit 144 Bestätigungen (entspr. im Schnitt 1440 Minuten und damit einem Tag) kann als einziger Eingang in einer Transaktion mit einem Ausgang verwendet werden ohne eine Gebühr zu zahlen. Diese Regel ist linear, 0.1 brauchen also entsprechend 10 Tage bzw. 1440 Bestätigungen. Das ganze ist eine Faustregel weil das Platz in einem Block normalerweise (ist variable einstellbar und entscheided jeder pool für sich) auf 50KB beschränkt ist. Das ist inzwischen unüblich. Es ist üblicher eine Gebühr von ca. 0.0001 BTC pro 1000byte Transaktionsgröße zu zahlen. Das ist allerdings auch nur eine Art Faustregel die sich so eingebürgert hat weil sie lange Zeit so im Quellcode von bitcoin core stand. Inzwischen brechnet bitcoin core die Gebührt dynamisch anhand der letzten Blöcke. Der Nutzer kann sozusagen beeinflussen ob die Transaktion schnell bestätigt werden soll (hohe Gebühr), ob es ruhig einige Blöcke dauern kann (mittlere gebühr) oder ob es auch gerne etwas länger dauern kann (niederige bzw. keine Gebühr). Die Zeit ist dabei durch Blöcke definiert und kann von 1 bis 30 verstellt werden. Die Größe einer Transaktion in Byte ist also für die meisten Menschen die Bitcoin aktiv nutzen entscheidend. Diese Größe bestimmt sich anhand der Anzahl an Ein- und Ausgängen einer Transaktion. Eingänge sind Verweise auf Transaktionen die in der Vergangenheit erhalten worden und müssen vollständig verbraucht werden. Wenn ich also in der Vergangenheit 500 BTC erhalten habe und davon jetzt 5 an jemand anderen schicken möchte, dann muss ich die 495 zu einer meiner Adressen schicken (Konzept des Wechselgelds). "An jemand anderen schicken" ist jeweils ein Ausgang. Dieser jemand kann auch ich selbst sein, das ist für das Netzwerk nicht entscheidend. Die Abstraktion davon ist die sog. Bitcoin Addresse. Im Extremfall habe ich z.B. in der Vergangenheit .5 BTC aus sog. Faucets angesammelt die auf 2000 Eingänge verteilt sind. Um diese jetzt nutzen zu können benötige ich mehrere sehr große Transaktionen die diese Eingänge kombinieren. In dem konkreten Beispiel lagen die Gebühren insgesamt bei 0.01 BTC also ca. 2% wenn ich mich recht erinnere. Das Thema Gebühren ist also sehr komplex, wenn es nicht essentiell wichtig ist und wenn die technischen Details nicht in den Rahmen der Arbeit passen würde ich das Thema nicht vertiefend behandeln. Für die meisten Menschen reicht die Fausteregel: zahl eine Gebühr von 0,0001 BTC/1KByte bei jeder Transaktion. Die KByte Angabe kann vermutlich weiter abstrahiert werden, da die meisten ohnehin keine Ahnung haben wieso eine TX eine bestimmte Größe hat. Ein gute Wallet wird das vom Nutzer abstrahieren und die Gebühr entweder dynamisch berechnen oder einen Wert festlegen der in 99,99% aller Fälle nicht zu problemen (Verzögerungen sind sehr schwer zu "beheben") führt. - letzte Beiträge vor absenden nicht gelesen - |

Because the coinbase TX has to be in every block. It thus makes sense to add it first. -> https://bitcoin.org/en/developer-reference#merkle-trees and by what you meant as sorted by the priority and fee does it means that it can be manipulated if I pay less fee and it will be carried as the last transaction or near to last transaction?
If you pay a low fee and use an input with a lower priority you risk that your transaction does not get included at all. There is also no way to know which pool will mine the next block (or the block needed for the game) and if they are not using a different set of rules. The first TX after the coinbase should be the one with the highest priority, as this is how the unconfirmed transactions are sorted before being added to the block. Fee is used secondary AFAIK. This allows high priority TX to get confirmed without fee. There are 50KiB reserved (by default) in every block for those. (This is the way bitcoin core decides which TX to include and does not influence the order!) I quickly checked the priority of a few TX for a few blocks and it seems that what I think should happen and what actually happens differs. Here is why: Every transaction in this block, one after another, in raw transaction format. Transactions must appear in the data stream in the same order their TXIDs appeared in the first row of the merkle tree. See the merkle tree section for details.

I understand how the byte order works, but I do not understand how this would change the order. Basically any way the TX get ordered before adding them to the merkle tree does not matter as the order in the merkle tree depends on the TX ID and not the properties of the TX. The properties however decide whether the TX is part of the tree in the first place. To make matters worse the TX ID is also stored differently within the tree as it is presented when queried with an RPC (as I did above). This leads me to believe that there is no reasonable answer to the question at all, because the answer depends on where you look. Do you consider the order the TX have as part of the tree or the order the RPC command returns as valid? Maybe someone with a better understanding of this can chime in here. My final answer would be that there is no reasonable answer and for the matter of the game it should just be defined what is to be understood as the "correct" order. |

Considering that withdrawal from their page can take a week or longer for no apparent reason but their admins mood and suspicions[1] I strongly suggest to not join the campaign until they payout directly. [1] https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1025088.0They have the funds in escrowed by Master-P just in case that the admin fails to process the withdraw request. So it is not an issue if the payment is not directly to our wallet for references : Currently 0.42 BTC held in escrow.

Well, 1 or 2 posts dont really matter in my opinion. Why cant I have some freedom and post what I wanted to say? You are free to post what you want, but the moment you are selling your signature you will be judged differently when in doubt. There are elaborated versions of spam. It might not have been your intention to spam either, but your intention does not transfer over the net. E.g. a rephrasing of an existing post as I linked above, which makes it seem like a contribution while in fact you are just repeating what was already written by someone else in your own words. This often happens if people just read the title or OP and quickly write an answer instead of reading the entire thread IMHO. Lately its happens to me that I read 2 or more pages of a thread and prepare replies to posts only to see someone else has already answered something very similar. If the argument was already posted it does not contribute anything to the discussion if I just repeat it. I just have the example given above and I will not go through your posting history to dig up more. I cant dont want to just lengthen for example "hello" to "hello there, I am josef200, I am xx years old and using bitcoin since 2012." There were some posts that I could only reply with that without adding any unneccessary content, maybe you take these posts as spam and insubstntial.
The length is not the issue here. A political speech might take several hours without anything of value being transmitted. On the other hand a single word like "yes" can be helpful and in some cases and thus contributing. There are members out there that posts around 50 posts a day in the speculation board that only consists of 1 sentence and wear a signature and still not get banned. So why was I?
If you think others deserve a ban, report them. Pointing fingers does not improve your position though. I am expecting a reason and proof , not something like:
From my experience: you wont get that. Some moderator banned you for 60 days because you posted insubtantial posts with a signature ad. So we will leave it as it is because we are the Moderators and you have nothing to say.
60 day means its not your first ban, but your last warning. The next on is permanent. Not trying to insult you BadBear, but thats typically you... Dont take it serious, you are not a bad person. I know being an Admin/Moderator is a hard job, cleaning all that spam and other things. But just make decisions based on your current mood is just not right. So, may any Moderator or the person that banned me stand out and speak? I dont want to be guilty for no reason. If there is an actual reason, please tell me  Bans are typically handed out by BadBear. Keep in mind that "constructive", "spam" or "valueable reply" is subjective and from what I have seen BadBear does not take this lightly. |

Echt nur durch Werbung  ok das hätte ich nicht gedacht. Aber da kann es wie gesagt wirklich so passieren, dass man am Ende weit mehr drauf zahlt, es sei denn man hat eben viele viele Besucher am Tag... Genau. Das ist der größte Teil der Arbeit. Für die Werbeeinnahmen ist es wohl egal ob nur einer im Monat kommt oder über 9000. Da kann man einfach die Auszahlungen entsprechend anpassen. Allerdings muss man die Servermiete rein bekommen und das wird nur über Masse gehen. |

The unwatch button works fine if you are using the watchlist. You cant get replies removed from "new replies to your posts" without removing all of your posts in the threads. Thats why theymos made the watchlist. |

Die Werbeeinnahmen reichen offenbar aus um das ganze (inlk. Hosting) für viele profitable zu machen. Das liegt weniger an den Clicks sondern an den sog. Impressionen. Es reicht schon aus das die Werbung überhaupt nur geladen wird um dem Betreiber des Faucets ein paar Mikrocent bei Google zu bescheren. Genaue Zahlen habe ich nicht, aber es dürfte viele andere Tätigkeiten geben die mehr erwirtschaften. Ein gut laufender Faucet sollte aber auch nicht viel Arbeit verursachen. Ab und zu mal die wallet aufladen halt.

Finally, 10 minutes is a very short time to wait in those few situations where it isn't safe to accept an unconfirmed transaction. Therefore, with immense security and short 10 minute confirmation times on average, it would seem that bitcoin provides the best compromise between time and level of security. *Next thing to be aware of is that bitcoin provides orders of magnitude more security than any other decentralized crypto currency right now bitcoin spend more time for confirm different transacion? if the risk is big or the amount is big, more time... and if the risk is low and the amount is little, less time... correct? No, there is no difference in the process of confirming a transaction depending on its value. People tend to require a different number of confirmations for them to feel comfortable with the transaction. That however is subjective and has nothing to do with the inner workings of bitcoin. Bitcoin has the most valuable network (in terms of mining costs) that ensures an attack is very costly, which results in its high security that dwarfs every other coin. |
