2. The "I want a profit" group. The second largest portion of businesses (many are actually a mix of this and part 1) - especially prevalent in the mining sector. These ones want to make some profit for themselves - and aren't that worried about things like being transparent, honest or fair to investors. Their contracts are vague on details, strong on THEIR rights and weak on investors rights. They ensure that even if their business is an abject failure they personally make money irrespective of how badly their investors do. Their fun comes from personally making some money even if at the expense of investors rather than from turning a profit. Many of these are borderline scammers - as they misrepresent their investments to get sales and don't properly disclose risks. Reporting will tend to be of a higher quality than type 1 - their (personal) profit and ability to attarct investors come from them looking fairly professional whilst actually losing investors' funds. These are also of very little use to the community.
...
Black Arrow. "I want a profit" isn't a bad thing. "I want to guarantee a profit by scamming the customers/investors" is. BA falls into this second category. Stating that they're "of very little use to the community" is a serious understatement.

This is the problem when you pay by BTC, no comeback.
I paid in USD.

Update: 2nd of July 2014
1. Batch 1 hasn't shipped.
2. Batch 2 hasn't shipped.
3. Refunds refused.
4. No shipping date provided.
5. TechnoBit now shipping Minion based miners.
The Minion data sheet wasn't released until the 27th of May, so that's just over 1 month from design to shipping product for TechnoBit.

I have an idea, how about Black Arrow sends TechnoBit 128x minions per X3 and have them ship customers 32x 400Gh/s units and we call it square.
The units should arrive while the difficulty is around 20 billion and customers can enjoy the same benefits as if they received their units on the promised delivery date.
Getting what I paid for (minus LCD, PSU & controller) seems fair enough doesn't it?

What about KGW? I know some alts got messed up with poor implementations of it but a solid implementation could make BTC better at hitting the 10 min mark.

I was forced to eat fluoride pills in elementary school. They accused me of being the most disruptive student ever. Fortunately I took up smoking in high school and the nicotine has since cleaned the aluminum plaque the fluoride had glued to the neurons in my brain off. Sucks for the people who don't consume niccotine as they put floride in all processed foods and spray us liberally with aluminum aerosols. The brain plaque does serve a perpose beyond reducing intellectual capacity and motor function. The aluminum plaque allows for better reception of RF waves and increased brainwave entrainment. The RF signals are bounced off the aluminum aerosol clouds that are sprayed. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.achtung-blitzkrieg.com%2Facatalog%2FFallSSComm.jpg&t=663&c=uk__1NaaGcE3rw) Da fuck type of logic is that? What part don't you agree with?

I have another update that I was informed of: The minion has passed the DRC checks. Mask manufacturing has begun. (This was as of last night) For us laymen, does that mean they are on, ahead, or behind schedule? It means the tapeout was successful and the next stage has begun. Basically, on schedule. Building the mask, as I understand it, is the most time consuming part of the process from here out. Once it's built, tested, and if necessary revised, they can make Minions until they run out of money or interest. It unfortunately says nothing about the PCB's, SMT lines, or firmware. But the ASICS appear to (finally) be on track. Anyone want to bet on whether Technobit has a working unit before BlackArrow using the Minion chip? They beat Bitmine... And the winner is Technobit! http://technobit.eu/index.php?id_product=79&controller=product&id_lang=1![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Ftechnobit.eu%2Fimg%2Fp%2F2%2F3%2F3%2F233-large_default.jpg&t=663&c=99q-htYIBbm_RQ)

A statement from Black Arrow regarding their promise to ship on February 24th 2014: ...
We've started the design in June. The only difference between us and our competitors is that we do not give unrealistic time frames which we know we cannot meet.
We are confident that we will deliver sooner but we do not make promises that we might not be able to fulfill.
It's now July 2014 and the X3 design is still not complete: ...
Following a thorough reviewing, the X-3 backplane has been put in production. The first batch will be delivered this weekend. We have several designs to our disposal and we have to decide which one was the best choice. We will be able to inform our customers on the X-3 shipping schedule within a few days.

4 months past the stated shipping date and this thing is still on the drawing board? Oh, and by-the-way "a few days" have already passed. Shipping next week? lol

Update: 1st of July 2014
1. Batch 1 hasn't shipped.
2. Batch 2 hasn't shipped.
3. Refunds refused.
4. No shipping date provided.
5. The long con continues... Customers have now lost BTC19.6 ($12,583 USD@Bitstamp) per X3 in revenue plus, the out-of-pocket cost of an X3 about $5500 USD depending on purchase date.
6. Fraud over $5000.

In recent posts on their forum BA adamantly denies that they are a scam and that they have never lied.
The February 24th shipping date was clearly a lie and when you take peoples money based on a lie it's called fraud making this a SCAM.
|
|
|
If BA does ship and it currently looks like they aren't going to. They would need to ship 13x 1Th/s units per X3 to fully compensate custimers for the missed February 24th shipping date. This based on the upcoming network difficulty jump to 20 billion.
BA needs to fold up shop at this point and advise customers that they're not getting refunds or product so they can move on with their lives.

Bitmain will ship even sooner, so I for one would get a refund from BA and run.
Except that's not possible. Your only hope for a refund is if you used Minersource as reseller. BA won't refund. I believe even getting a refund through Minersource will prove difficult (read impossible) . This is proving to be a true New York Style Goat Fuck... ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi.dailymail.co.uk%2Fi%2Fpix%2F2013%2F03%2F27%2Farticle-0-18EE587F000005DC-651_634x421.jpg&t=663&c=kOqqzzd8_fKh8w)

According to coinwarz the X3 (2Th/s) currently makes $30 a day. How many days to ROI is that?
