With the pros and cons of crypto regulation, will you go for the government to totally be friendly with cryptocurrencies so that it will later be regulated or you are fine with this recent implicit ban?
Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are classified as assets by the IRS, so you must pay capital gains tax on every transaction you make, and with the number of active Nigerians on crypto exchanges, the Nigerian government would have benefited more if there was no ban on crypto, but rather a tax on every transaction made by Nigerians on centralized exchanges, there are millions of crypto transactions going on in Nigeria daily, imagine how much the go is worth. They have been following the lead of the US for a long time, so why should the CBN follow China on something that would have benefited them more? Is it that they do not care about financial profits as long as they are causing pains and difficulties to her citizens? When you have ancient people in government there is always set back. Well like it or not we are still paying tax on our transactions and these capital gain taxes ain't going to the Nigerian government so where is it going to? Ideal society taxation of cryptocurrency transactions is a good move toward revenue generation for the government, but in 9ja's case, it will become an avenue for looters to steal the collective resources of the taxpayers' money. I even like the way our government dey go even if they ban cryptocurrency or not them no fit stop people from using it just as we dey do now. Make them no collect from money were them no give us oooo, people dey trade in commodity were no get any attachment to 9ja economy so if government wan tax us aside bank charges baba the tax regime is not proper according to political-economic |

Well this could have a long term positive impact on the price of Bitcoin, and at the present level Bitcoin is trying to recover back from it correction stage so if it is a whale buying it may not have a direct impact on the price of Bitcoin. Well, if my interpretation is correct.... those bitcoins was not bought... it was moved out of Coinbase to another wallet. This might just be a reaction on the announcement that Biden gave an executive order for the regulatory authorities to regulate Bitcoin in the US. I think this person might have bought these coins a while ago already and they just pushed it to external cold storage, before "regulations" come into play in the near future. (but this might take some time)  I would much rather be worried if a bunch of people start to deposit loads of coins on to Exchanges (a possible indicator of a possible dump) This statement may be right as there was no mention of trading in the article but the movement of coin out of coinbase, whichever ways that figure of 30,000 BTC is huge and could be heading to a cold wallet really for safety away from regulators, I expected big whales activities in bitcoin this period as the Russia ban is taking hold on the economy and alternative source are being utilized. |

Does this mean you are operating illegally? Because, from what I know so far about Curacao and their licenses, they deem KYC necessary in some cases and if you are operating with their license, you must follow their rules.
