6841  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New type of scammers in telegram! Keep your bitcoins safe! Watch out! on: September 05, 2018, 12:43:44 PM
What would you call this type of scam?  Is it ICO or cryptocurrency related scam or romance scam?  Either way, if you found love on Telegram, your prayers have been answered, however, when your supposed love now starts demanding for stuffs to be paid in cryptocurrency, then, you should wise up.  Do not fall into all these romances to the extent of dropping your Private Key, some people could be that easy to manipulate. Other scam included but not limited to those who would message one out of the blues to buy coins directly from them. We all know this, caution needs to be taken here.

This type of scam has a name. It's called ewhoring and it's a black hat way to drive converting leads to dating affiliate programs or to trick the victim to pay using cryptocurrency or giftcards for a private cam show.
This is a pretty old scam method.People can find lots of info about ewhoring in forums like Hackforums.net...
I guess that all the "ewhores" had moved from Skype,Kik and Snapchat to Telegram. Angry
6842  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: FREE trading e-book for newb and advanced traders $$$ on: September 05, 2018, 06:15:26 AM
I have read the ebook, and i think the contents of the ebook are the same as other crypto trading ebooks that i have read, and its contents are more towards preparing mentally before trading. i understand it because basically most of the things that influence trading are fundamental abilities and experience, such as reading the market, estimating sentiments affected by news/information, and the rest is a technical skill. But it's interesting when whose the made this ebook is the exchanger that will launch soon. Nice try....

Yeah, ebook giveaways are just a cheap marketing trick. They give away something for free, but in return you signup to their email list, register an account on their website,or they just build brand awareness.
Free ebooks don't have any value in terms of information or sharing some kickass tips and tricks.
If the information is was really valuable, you will have to pay,in order to have it.
6843  Economy / Economics / Re: Governments Call on Tech Giants to Build Encryption Backdoors -- Or Else on: September 05, 2018, 06:09:46 AM
If the big tech giants lower their encryption standarts,a part of their customers(the more tech savvy ones, who want more security) might move to the crypto world.I don't think that the crypto world will abide by such rules ever.If the people are afraid that the govenments are spying them, they will choose desentralized paltforms with strong encryption. This is just a theory. 6844  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Robot trading volume war on: September 04, 2018, 11:33:56 AM
Using trading robots to trade real coins is not fake or illegal.Manipulating the trading volume and liquidity by adding fake transactions is illegal and should be punished. That's why we need more regulations over the cryptocurrency exchange platforms,NOT over their customers(KYC,ID verify,etc.).
I guess that's why cryptocurrencies will never become mainstream. Angry
6845  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Discussion] What's best for the future of Bitcoin? on: September 04, 2018, 05:48:21 AM
Bitcoin has the value from its buyers and holders only. So bitcoin cannot be a store of value unless bitcoin is used in trade and commerce.

For 700,000,000 people worldwide to use Bitcoin as invest or digital asset, the price has to be $600 to $1200

The actual bitcoin price doesn't matter, when it comes to using it for daily purchases.Bitcoin can be divided into 1 million parts,so it doesn't matter if 1 bitcoin is 1200 USD or 20K USD.The real problems are  the price volatility and the confusion created by the national legislations. Most of the business owners still don't know is bitcoin illegal or not, will they be penalized,if they accept btc payments, what happens if they don't convert their btc,in order to pay taxes.
6846  Economy / Economics / Re: [Discussion] Why Cryptocurrencies and blockchain needs to go mainstream ASAP on: September 04, 2018, 05:39:40 AM
This is the exact same reason, for which I'm afraid to use PayPal in my online business. Some scammer might order a bunch of expensive products and file a dispute for unauthorised transaction or item not received.
Paypal exists and makes money only because of the buyers. That's why Paypal is very buyer-friendly,but not seller-friendly at all. However,I don't think that cryptocurrencies will be a solution, because 90% of all online buyers want a refund option. If you offer a refund option, some scammers will try to abuse it.
6847  Economy / Gambling / Re: Are there any good arcade style games? on: September 02, 2018, 05:53:29 AM
So I've been with bitcoin for a while and I used to like coinflapper (which, for those of you who don't know, was a bitcoin game available from a site of bitplay dot today but the site has a new owner as far as I can tell) you used to be able to enter tournaments and bet 0.001BTC with a top prize of 0.003BTC and a secondary prize of 0.001BTC which was qutie a fun game to play as it was just like flappy bird.

I've swtiched to doing what I was before then and playing a game called alien run from bitcoin aliens but the rewards are tiny and there's no gambling in them so you can't advance the amount you have very quickly...
Are there any good apps/sites for this with arcade-style games for example (regular casino games aren't as fun for me as tournament style games)?

I too would like to play arcade games versus other people for money, but it has to be really small stakes, so it doesn't cost a fortune.  I think cheating might become an issue if something gets super popular.  Aside counter strike for money, I haven't seen anything arcade like.

I think that "arcade games" means playing versus the computer only.Playing versus other people means that the game is multiplayer, not arcade. However, such games can be easily exploited,so I don't think that a good arcade game with bets and gambling will be created soon.In such games, players rely on skills, not luck, which is bad for the gambling experience,I guess.
6848  Economy / Gambling / Re: HELP!!! ))) We need in your opinion on: September 02, 2018, 05:46:50 AM
the most obvious feedback, you have probably recieved is that the name aswell as the domain name (especially the domain name) is horrible

Not only that, they missed the most important thing since they are building a betting game website: Security. It seems that your website is not on SSL. How can we trust you with our funds when you don't know how to even secure you own websites? So I'm not clicking that link and can't give you a honest review. Sorry.

Perhaps the OP is at the very beginning at his project and he doesn't want to "invest" into a better domain name and SSL(even though domain names are cheap and I remember that SSL can be installed for free).
I don't want to click on those links, because I removed my anti-virus program.
What are the rules of this one-two-two game? Can you explain them?
6849  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin price worth more than $100k in 2018? on: September 02, 2018, 05:35:35 AM
At the time of writing, Bitcoin is up by 2,26% and valued at $7.222.81. With increasingly positive voices coming out in favor of Bitcoin, it remains to be seen whether it will actually increase in value significantly until the end of this year or whether it will remain around this levels. Many of the other cryptocurrencies have been consistently rising in the past couple of weeks. This is the reason why investors are again turning bullish on cryptocurrencies and think that they will increase in value further. Many of the enthusiasts are actually predicting higher peaks as well as newer peaks for the cryptocurrencies. See more for yourself, https://smartereum.com/3330/bitcoin-forecast-can-bitcoin-price-worth-more-than-100k-in-2018-sat-sep-1/.

Do you think Bitcoin would really worth that much? Let us know your thoughts below.

Those "positive voices" are just propaganda that is used to build more hype and force more newbies to buy crypto.By the way, your post is kinda confusing. The fact that the bitcoin price is up by 2,26% doesn't mean that bitcoin price will go above 100K in the next 3 months.A 2,26% growth is nothing. It's not even a stable price increase. It's just price volatility.
6850  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price& Volume Timeline on: September 01, 2018, 11:46:06 AM
This post is just some statistical data pulled out. There's no thesis or theory behind it.What's the point of all this?We all know that there is a direct correlation between the bitcoin price movement and the trading volume increase. The number of bitcoin HODLers had increased for sure, during the last few years. This is my only conclusion from this data.
6851  Economy / Economics / Re: The role of Crypto in eliminating fossil fuels dependence on: September 01, 2018, 11:41:19 AM
That's just a theory without any evidence. The planet earth has oil reserves for the next 50 years.
I remember that there was another theory coming from soviet or russian scientists that oil is actually a renewable resource and the oil supply will never end. This is another hypothesis without proof.
So far,the crypto world has no role into eliminating fossil fuels usage.I hope that this will change soon.
6852  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to upload Facebook to the blockchain? on: September 01, 2018, 11:34:04 AM
Sometimes there are people who claim that the Facebook social network can be downloaded to the blockchain as a distributed application. They believe that the blockchain-project, which they have in their favorites, can be used to place a social network on it.
The most important thing: the delivery of messages should be instantaneous or with a reasonable delay of not more than a few seconds. What's the point in a retarded application?
At the same time, the price of each transaction (and in the case of messaging one user makes hundreds of such transactions every day) will be prohibitively high. And the whole messaging system will become useless. Recall that now the exchange of messages in Facebook and other social networks is completely free. Users are not ready to pay for messages on the Internet, this is the whole point of the Internet!

How do you like the idea? Is it real? Would you use it?

It is theoretically possible, but it's pointless. What is facebook?Well, behind the good design and various features, facebook is just lots of programming code, uploaded on lots of servers. What is the blockchain?Lots of programming code executing tasks on lots of servers.I wish that facebook would look more like Shapchat and allow messages and status updates that self-destruct after a while. This will save a lot of space. 6853  Economy / Economics / Re: why the bitcoin bubble hasn't fully burst | CNBC on: September 01, 2018, 05:48:02 AM
The "Google searches influence the bitcoin price" theory is old and far away from the truth.
The amount of google searches about bitcoin just follows the bitcoin price movement, not the opposite.
I still haven't found an ecnomist that realises that simple fact.
By the way,we all know that the December 2017 ATH was caused by the bitcoin futures trading launch.
6854  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I wish! I wish!! I wish!!! Stop always wishing You bought Bitcoin in 2009. on: September 01, 2018, 05:42:52 AM
Wake up! Come to reality. This is 2018, yet you still wish you bought Bitcoin below $0.01 in 2009. The truth is that you will never be in the year 2009 again till you die, and Bitcoin will never be below $0.01 again. You just have to focus on today and the future. I am also sure even in future when Bitcoin would have reached a far more higher price hopefully, People will still wish they bought at least in 2018. So therefore, be grateful to whoever introduced you to Bitcoin today, and also accept that you joined cryptocurrency or Bitcoin at a time your creator wanted you to. Make the most of it now.

Well, daydreaming and fantasies doesn't cost anything and doesn't take any risk. Grin
Buying bitcoin costs money and there's risk involved. That's why many people around the world will continue with the "I wish I bought bitcoin back in 2009 or 2010 or 2012" type of bullshit.
I found this forum back in 2015.I wish that someone told me about this forum somewhere around 2013. Grin
6855  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Correlations are decreasing - what does it mean? on: August 31, 2018, 12:07:55 PM
I think that the correlations ratio depends on the trading volume+the amount of new people ,who enter the crypto markets with their money. When the trading volume is growing, the correlations between btc and the alts are strong, when the trading volumes are low,the correlations are weak. Most of the newbies buy btc first and some altcoins after that,so this plays a role in the BTC/altcoins correlations ratio.
6856  Economy / Economics / Re: Central Bank of Crypto-Currency on: August 31, 2018, 11:54:53 AM
Perhaps this is not a central bank, but a central server, from which the currencies of crypto currencies will be managed.

That doesn't make any sense. You have a strange sense of humor. Grin
I think that really working crypto central bank might look like a crypto reserve fund, where most of the crypto exchange platforms might hold a part of their crypto holdings. The crypto reserve fund will release cryptocurrencies to the crypto exchange platforms that face problems with their liquidity. It's just an idea. 6857  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Silk Road Bitcoin Wallet Activates Again, Huge Dump Anticipated by the Community on: August 31, 2018, 11:50:34 AM
The owner of those 111K bitcoin isn't that stupid to sell all the bitcoins at once and create a price crash. This would mean less USD for his presious bitcoins. He will most likely  sell small parts of his btc fortune and wait.
By the way,if those bitcoins really bleong to the Silk Road criminals, the police should have been confiscated them by now.I'm not sure that they belong to the Silk Road owners.
6858  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your Zen Kohan for your experiences with Bitcoin and Life. on: August 31, 2018, 07:06:44 AM
Anger and frustration are nothing but a feeling.Your mind is playing tricks on you, when you are angry and frustrated. In the end, nothing really matters, exept our health and relationships.Money can be made,it doesn't matter if it's bitcoin or fiat.I don't wanna be so focused into the crypto markets and so hard working, because in the end, everything might have been only a waste of time and efforts.
6859  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Mining Drives Green Energy Innovation on: August 31, 2018, 06:58:23 AM
If the production of solar panels increses x2 times, their price will be reduced by 25%.This is proven to work and cryptocurrency mining can actually help for increasing the market demand for solar panels, hence their production.Countries like Germany will have huge amounts of cheap green energy, because they are using lots of solar panels during the last 20 years and their green energy investments had paid off.
The myth that crypto minng is wasting too much "dirty" electricity will be busted soon.
6860  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Yahoo Finance integrates Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin on: August 31, 2018, 06:52:13 AM
Who uses Yahoo nowadays?Only old people,I guess.Yahoo is a big failure(I used to like Yahoo Answers, but now there are better Q&A websites, like Quora). They aren't open to disruptive innovations like crypto and that's why they have lost the battle against all the other online giants, like Google and Facebook.
It would be great if Yahoo Japan accepts crypto payments, but this is highly unlikely to happen.
