why don't you try to have a look at Talkcoin? It is the new DRK/JPC and still a lot of people don't know about it.

ok, I've bought muy first batch of Talkcoin on your recommendation.

(I've got 25 so far Shocked, but still waiting on the rest of my order to be fulfilled).

You have much better knowledge and insight in term of trading, why don't you try to have a look at Talkcoin? It is the new DRK/JPC and still a lot of people don't know about it.

Hey, that looks very interesting (not from making money point of view but actually as an idea).

Will definitely check it out. Thanks !
6843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][JPC]JackpotCoin#Unique JHA Algo#Ultra Fast Trans#1st True PoW/PoS Hybrid on: June 09, 2014, 10:48:18 AM
Do you know Dev is Korean and JPC has strong support in Korean alt coin community?
Both miners and traders at an early stage were mostly Korean, therefore have huge portion of JPC.

Having already secured profit by virtue of getting in early, they still wait for further rise above 100sat.

I am also Korean actually, just made over 28btc profit by buying at 5~9sat and selling at 38~45sat.

Hi - very interesting post. No I didn't know the dev was Korean.

I'm amazed you found the liquidity to offload that much JPC at those prices. Good for you !

Thanks for posting the info.

Price consolidating now.

Looks like it will set a new base.

So you are the one who bought my 30mil JPCs @ 2 sat  Grin
I made you bank already, dude.  Grin

Unfortunately that was someone else. I only managed to get a few at 2 sats. People weren't quite that crazy but thanks anyway, it'll pay for a few beers as I just sold a couple at 68  Wink
6846  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][JPC]JackpotCoin#Unique JHA Algo#Ultra Fast Trans#1st True PoW/PoS Hybrid on: June 09, 2014, 09:21:29 AM
the person who has been buying since 2 sat will cash out one day

That would be me Wink

I bought all of mine between 2 and 6, but I've already sold a whole pile and I'm not going to be doing any "crashing" with the rest. This isn't Mooncoin - it has some great fundamentals that can take it a long way.

Look at it this way. We have a coin supply which is 1/27th of Doge's, yet Doge's price is still well above JPC. Also:

 - JPC is up and coming
 - it has its own "sector" in the gaming and gambling world, so can be sustained
 - it has a rock solid technical basis. very fast transactions, a perfectionist dev, a great Mac wallet (always a test of completeness)
 - it has modern advanced algos with this interlaced POS / POS approach. A great innovation which is proving to be a success (witness lightning transaction speed)
 - it has the first true random jackpot algorithm and both miners and buyers love it. Miners get a crack at the jackpot and buyers get great interest for staking

So, corrected for coin supply, we are at less than 1/30th of the Doge price.

Lets say JPC can realistically get to half the Dogue price (or a quarter if you want to be conservative) bearing in mind that Doge is a "dead on its feet" coin.

That would mean:

JPC @ 1/4 Doge: 270 Satoshis
JPC @ 1/2 Doge: 540 Satoshis

That's the reasoning and calculations for whales not dumping. (I am less of a whale now that I was but still got a fair bit). And even if they do, there is a basis for demand resurging. You've already seen that - we've revisited the 30's levels 4 times now. Mooncin had 1 pump to 60 and dead.

This coin is going places.

P.S. One more thing. With JPC's rise on Coinmarketcap, difficulty is going to skyrocket. That means no more easy mining and much better distribution EXCEPT for the Jackpot winner. So think about that for a second. You've suddenly got a far higher incentive to keep mining even when the difficulty goes up while at the same time keeping the market healthy by spreading the wealth out.

This coin hasn't even popped up on Coinwarz yet. It soon will.

Hey Darkcoiners, you were foolish enough not to sell at 0.018 .. but why you No Buying at 0.014? don't fizzle out   Wink
The local low is in, look at the 1hr chart turning Green, we'll rebound very soon.

+1. Thats exactly what I did.

What is weak about selling for a profit and using that btc to make more profit on other coins.  It's not weak it's smart.

I agree with this remark.

But I don't think I agree with you about competition.

There really is no substitute for working at something and pushing it till you have a practical solution. That seems to be what's going on here. I've been playing around with some "crypto note" stuff lately and I can confidently declare that I think they are garbage. I can't even get my Monero off an exchange because there's nowhere for it to go - no wallet that doesn't require you to be a Unix geek for example.

I lost a load of it getting it onto an exchange because I didn't have a "Payment ID". That stuff is going nowhere. The devs can't even get a GUI wallet together for a Mac after weeks of it being launched. The two coins that actually are "happening" right now in terms of development and dedication are:

[1] - Darkcoin

[2] - Jackpot coin

You may think that that second one is a joke - it isn't. I just included it because it's a dream to use and seems to have a Dev that is determined to come up with a complete product that is rock solid, Those two have those things in common and the cryptonote stuff just doesn't.
6849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | ASIC Resistant on: June 09, 2014, 01:36:35 AM
I'm back long.

I can feel that demand starting to bite again. Notice how quickly it shot from 133 back to 145 when people thought it was getting away from them.

It may still go down but parachutes have been deployed. That's one long fall from 277 to 136 and traders know it. The one hour MACD histogram has now put in 3 clear blocks, there seems a reluctance for master node dumpers to dump below 1400.

If it goes beyond 0.01 then retro rockets will be fired. We'll bounce off the 0.009 resistance and go screaming back up to 0.018 at which point there'll be a secondary dump while people allow it to float back down to a final settling zone of 0.013 to 0.018.

Also, what people need to understand is that it's not just a question of price - it's liquidity also. As soon as the price starts to reverse, that liquidity evaporates in seconds. Something to think about for anyone wanting back in with a large amount.

That little sharp corner at 0.0133 was a good place to load up.

10 seconds later, you're catapulted straight into the mid 14's.

I ran out of BTC and am waiting for inflatable bullshit guvpaper to transform into real money

r.o.t.f.w.l. !

That had me in stitches.

Dude. Right time was way over 0.02 People missed that train already so why the heck would anyone sell now ?

Ask yourself that question again in a couple of days time  Wink
6853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | ASIC Resistant on: June 08, 2014, 09:19:15 PM
I am holding worse then a pregnant woman in the ninth month.. BUT that does not stop me from buying some retard coins.. Retard coins ? Yeah the drk retards panicsell right into the whalepockets.. People are so fking weak it is a shame. Buy some balls or get out of crypto and buy some lotterytickets instead.

HOLD = Rich in two months

It takes more balls to sell at the right time that to hold.
6854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | ASIC Resistant on: June 08, 2014, 09:18:14 PM
I don't intend to spread any FUD but this is what I think will happen unless any significant external or internal force steps to the picture before my predicted point could be hit.

+1

Solution: Buy Jackpotcoin in the meantime. Make huge gains. Come back and buy DRK at 0.08.
6855  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | ASIC Resistant on: June 08, 2014, 12:16:11 PM
Ahhh Smiley I`ve bough some amount on lower price...than wanted to sell on higher on spread only....pressed wrong button and I`ve bough at price which has to be used as sell Cheesy OMG, to much stress Wink

I think everyone's made that mistake at one time or another.

I certainly have.

Hope you didn't loose to much. (At least you didn't loose it - you've got yourself got some DRK for it at the going rate !  Wink  )

cancel your withdraw then do it again. mintpal sometimes lag.

Just did that.

Still no email.

I must say, Mintpal has gone right downhill since the upgraded their exchanged engine a couple of weeks ago. "Unknown Error"s all over the place, lagging trade pages (I always use Bitcoinwisdom now to get an up to date order book), errors on order submission.
6857  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][JPC]JackpotCoin#Unique JHA Algo#Ultra Fast Trans#1st True PoW/PoS Hybrid on: June 08, 2014, 10:21:53 AM
I just tried to withdraw some of my DRK profit to spend on JPC voting, but haven't received any withdrawal confirmation email.

What's going on ?

Mintpal says it's been sent. Anyone else experienced delays in invoking the withdrawal and receiving the confirmation email ? I never have.
6858  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | ASIC Resistant on: June 07, 2014, 11:36:36 PM
There are many parts in the equation

No. There are only 2 parts  Smiley

I think if you check any economics textbook you won't find any more.

Having said that, the other stuff you posted is relevant and useful because it forms a basis for the demand side of the equation. But only the market as a whole can prioritise those criteria in a quantifiable way.  That quantity ends up in an order book.

In case anyone thinks I'm being overly negative, I'm not. I'm trying to be realistic. We need to separate out two things:

[1] - integrity and potential viability of the asset

[2] - price evolution

These two things have their own independent evolutionary paths. I hope I've made clear from my previous posts that as far as [1] as concerned, I think this is one of the most promising cryptocurrency projects around. I agree with most contributors on here that "there isn't anything that comes close to it" right now. I think Darkcoin has a great balance of practical anonymity without compromising on technical efficiency. It also appears to have a development team that can consistently deliver according to a roadmap which is no mean feat.

But the other of those two - price evolution - has its own little world. Periodically, the two things catch up with each other - just as has happened over that last 3 weeks - but we shouldn't expect them to always be in sync. If you are in it for the long term just stick your money in and wait. Keep following what goes on with the coin development and as long as it keeps its nose in front then sit tight.

But at the same time, we need to understand that this coin is a traded asset. That gives it a whole different meaning to market traders who are trading in and out of hundreds of coins a month. They have their own priorities and it's not something that is unhealthy either. It's the price to pay for the asset having a quoted market value rather than just a "theoretical value" which is what people like to give their beloved assets on Bitcointalk [ANN] threads.

Also, even though I posted earlier that I thought the correction would go on for "days if not weeks", those are just my opinions based on looking at charts. They could be wrong. For a start, charts are basically just moving averages of selling and buying momentum so they are not predictions. The longer term ones do take a while to turn around, but even so they are just speculative. I post my opinions good faith and try to give a basis but sometimes to challenge what I think are clearly inaccurate remarks by other posters Smiley

People shouldn't get too upset about the price declines if they really believe in the future of an asset. Just hold and wait for it to come back up. If it never comes back then you made the wrong evaluation right at the start and will have learned something. If it does then your quids in. That's the way every aspect of life works.

Here's my strategy for what it's worth:

I used to think that Bitcoin would be "superseded" by some better coin. Until a few moths back, I thought it would be Peercoin. Peercoin was so well thought out by its creator, it was thought through from an economics point of view and also well implemented technically. Then, the almighty flood of the "alts" started - a whole flotilla of them. Everyone started to think that Bitcoin was doomed and was loosing value due to all these alts sucking investment away from it.

Then, it just didn't happen.

1000 alt coins having every shape, size and type of algo didn't even put a dent in Bitcoin's valuation. When I thought about it, I realised that Bitcoin just has way too much network effect to be given away to an unknown. The biggest of these "network" effects is right under our noses without us even noticing - how do we measure the value of any alt coin ? In BITCOIN !!   It is the reserve currency for the entire crypto currency market.

So now my strategy is this:

[1] - invest in alt coins which have genuine original work going on, as they are likely to accrue in value

[2] - accept that they will never reach more than about 20% of Bitcoin's value and make sure to realise a reasonable amount of the gain if they ever get near that point

[3] - hedge against the off chance that an exceptional "alt" actually breaks through the "LTC" glass ceiling and starts to approach Bitcoin's value by holding at most couple of hundred of the most likely competitor

Notice how easy it is to ensure yourself against the demise of Bitcoin. For example, if you think it's going to be DRK then given DRK's coin supply, you only need about 70 DRK to be amongst the next generation of Bitcoin millionaires - especially given BTC's likely future.

That's how I see it - but as I say, the beauty of these forums is that we can all benefit from each other's view and engender a more developed understanding  of both the technical aspects of our investments, the price evolution of same and the future of crypto currencies as a whole, so please don't take all of this as anything other than one person's opinion and I will gladly learn from those of others which are equally made in good faith !  Smiley

6859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | ASIC Resistant on: June 07, 2014, 10:39:57 PM
Toknormal. I value your contributions and insights. But last two days you are more preaching towards a lower price since you stepped out with a large part of your coin. Maybe your right on your visions, but the visions tend to be in the direction of how many coins your holding I am beginning to notice...

Freckleg, you're right.

My own trading is consistent with my market observations as I've acted on those observations myself. Hopefully that adds some credibility to them.

But if people want me to shut up when the market is going down and only comment when it's going up then I don't mind doing that.
6860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | ASIC Resistant on: June 07, 2014, 10:30:32 PM
Coin-numbers adjusted (same number of DRKs / LTCs = 4.3mn) litecoin stands at 74.28$.

Are you sure?

Coin supply is only one half of the price equation. The other half is coin demand.
