Central Banks Worldwide Testing Their Own Digital Currencies

Quote
Central banks worldwide are examining the possibility of issuing a central bank digital currency (CBDC), with some already testing theirs for different uses. Countries that have advanced their digital currency projects include China, Singapore, Canada, the Bahamas, Thailand, Uruguay, and Sweden. India has also included the digital rupee in the country’s draft cryptocurrency bill.

China’s CBDC Is ‘Almost Ready’
The most recent country to claim that its CBDC is near completion is China. According to media reports, The People’s Bank of China (PBOC) is “almost ready” to issue the country’s own sovereign digital currency. This was revealed at a forum held in the northern Chinese province of Heilongjiang on Aug. 10 by Mu Changchun, deputy director of the PBOC’s payments department.

We return to 4 digits, what is the problem? crisis, recession, political tensions, it doesn't matter

BTC is here to stay, if for you 4 digits is cheap, buy.

Economy moving little slow but no major crisis or recession coming soon on my side of the world. and political tensions here are cute so we are used to it.

What matter most is cheap corn atm and one should take advantage when market is showing some kind of fear or greed. so yes right now buy the dip according to pockets, its worth it.

New IRS Warning Letters Target Crypto Investors Who Misreported Trades

Quote
“Basically what it says is ‘hey we have a report from one of the financial institutions you use and the amount they reported to us the IRS is different than the amount you, the taxpayer, reported and this is the amount you owe’ and it’s a 30-day letter meaning you have to respond in 30 days.”

West Indies start is very shaky hopefully today we have some better from them and after very bore and rainy day some good and interesting cricket.

Well, they are spanking Indian bowlers hard Cheesy already at 79 runs after 8 overs. hope they can cross 300+ today, good part is its not one man show ( gayle) both openers playing good.

If they manages to play 20 overs like that then lol moment for India.

Welcome to Rain's international   Grin

Today every International cricket match is interrupted by the rains. be it test match in between SL vs NZ or toss delay in the Ashes or ODI. The latest casualty is ODI Windies vs Ind's game.

Windies won the toss and batting first. No Bumrah today, guess Indian saving him for Test and rightly so.

Virat Kohli(Amazing ODI player) etc

Bro, I must say That's a terrible example. This guy has impeccable records in all 3 format.

  • Ranks 1 in the Test Match with an average of 53+ ( 25 tons in 77 games)
  • Ranks 1 in the ODI with an average of 59+ ( 42 tons in 238 games)
  • He's lagging in T-20 ranking because he takes rest during any T-20 bilateral series ( he missed a couple of easy T-20 series in the last 2 years) he has 49+ average in T-20 with healthy SR.

Have we all forgot about Sri Lanka vs New Zealand test series? Two test series. We will see how Sri Lanka challenge the world cup finalist.

Everyone has a choice. For many test cricket fans its low buzz series. I am not watching live as well just keeping a tab on the score.

As of now, Kiwis are struggling at 71/3. They had a good start of 60+ runs, but 3 quick wickets by spinner Dananjaya turn the tide in favor of SriLankan.

Bitpanda Promotes Bitcoin Across Three European Cities
The Bitpanda Global Exchange has published a video documenting what it describes as a “guerrilla projection” campaign. The cryptocurrency trading platform took to the streets of Europe armed with an immensely powerful projector and an even more powerful message.

Those behind the campaign projected a video clip promoting Bitcoin at a total of 33 different sites in Zurich, London, and Paris. Several pro-Bitcoin phrases flash up during the video. They include the following:

“Do you trust your bank?”

“Why invest like your parents?”

“Embrace the new.”

“Move before the rest.”

“Bitcoin is the future of money.”

He played his 300th ODI which is a big deal and hence there was celebration for that achievement but never heard about his retirement from ODI.
Okay then I think we will need to wait till the next match. I tried looking online but found nothing about it. It really is confusion for me LOL Not sure where I heard that the last match was his last ODI :-P

Am not too sure about this news since he basically reversed his retirement decision recently which is why we can't be too sure about these things. He might still have some fuel left in his tank for a couple more matches.
Yeah it was during the world cup: https://www.bbc.com/sport/cricket/48775479

Atm everyone speculating about his retirement. As Gayle's fan, It's hard to watch him nowadays because he's playing bad and now he's waiting for Board to kick him out. (JK)

The way I see he could announce his retirement before the 300th match so that he could play last game as the farewell match. He's already became the highest run-scorer for Windies so announcing retirement at this milestone makes sense as well, but it's not an option anymore.

Or maybe he's eyeing for one explosive inning for closure who knows.  Huh

Hard to see that Starc will be coming back. Don't see Aussie bowlers finding it difficult to bowl to English batsman. I think current bowling attack is quite good enough.

It true that competition is hard in the Oz's bowling camp, but one can't deny the fact that during the first test match couple of OZ bowlers were looking helpless on many occasion ( first inning).

I have to agree with @Vella about starc and its tough situation for selectors because siddle looking fresh and good as well. But if starc comes in then, Siddle might sit out from the squad.

Why was Starc not selected in the first test match.

Cutthroat/healthy competition among pace battery.

@Kabit and @Legendster : Guys, troll each other as much as you want, but you don't need to dox each other and I agree with @amycrypto here.

This post is for Legendster and Kabit. Let us not behave like kids and have some sense of what we are doing on this forum. We may have our differences in terms of opinions but the revealing personal identity of users that you don't agree with is not accepted.

@legendster If you have solid proof that both kabit and amycrypto's accounts are connected then make a case in reputation. If it's true then will tag both accounts without any second thought.

If not, then I suggest you should withdrawal the accusation of connected accounts and negative feedback against @amicrypto respectfully.

We already have tiny Indian community so please don't start a pissing contest, it's not going to help anyone.

They have been known to bounce back after losses which is why I am expecting the same in this 2nd test match. A draw is also a possibility.
I hope England could bounce back in the second test,

-Edited-

if they are to win the test match and they will be including Jofra Archer in the team instead of the injured James Anderson and they might leave Moeen Ali out.

How about 4-1 in favor of Aussie ? Cheesy

Starc is likely to comeback in second Test squad and Jofra Archer going to debut for England but he already mentioned to media that " don't expect any miracle". sounds fair.

Don't expect any miracles: Jofra Archer
Quote
All the talk of having the opportunity to debut at the Home of Cricket where England recently were crowned champions at the World Cup could be poetic, but Archer weighed down the expectations and was quite attuned to reality. "What I would say is don't expect any miracles, firstly! Hopefully, I'm gonna make my debut sooner rather than later and I'll come in and do what I can. I can't work miracles - I'll try to, but I don't think that's how it might pan out. I'll try my best and I can only give my best," he said.

My eyes are on Test series though. I remember when Windies beat the shit out of the English team in Test, so finger crossed lol.
You really expect something from this WI team? They are not challenging much even in ODI then how come they will play Test match for 5 days? This WI team is so much into T20 mindset that in future we will see the board will ask ICC a special request that to revoke their ODI and Test status.

There was a time WI used to shit out of any team, not just England. The glories are not there anymore.

Not windies team per se. But only their bowling line up against Indian batting on a seaming track. I want to see green seaming wicket for test series even after 3 days. Why should batsmen have all the fun?  Grin

And I don't mind if they kicked out from Test format in the near future, but next question pop-up is who is going to take their spot? There are already a handful of teams taking test format seriously and younger players taking retirement from 5-day cricket here and there for petty reasons, so not a right decision IMHO.

This is a great tournament for bettors who have been exclusively betting on India like me. Toss your bets in an accumulator and choose some smart value bets and you could make a good amount of money quite easily.

I expected more entertainment value from the T-20 tournament though, but Windies messed that up too. Hoping that they provide more entertainment value in the upcoming matches.

Agreed, that's why gamblers love the IPL and for some of them its Diwali season Cheesy

Now we can only wish that the Windies team show some fight back in the Last ODI and Test matches. But as of now, Windies looks weak against the Indians. As an Indian perspective, these easy wins not going to help their cause in the longer run.

^ Sweet and Not surprise at all.

Followers of Hussein are one of the most tolerant sects of Islam (along with Ahamidyya) and good amount of them are more patriot than average Indians like you and me. Sadly Shia community is in the minority all over the world and in our nation as well. So no political party cares about them much.

I wonder if anyone expected WI to win any match of this series. WI is a T20 team. We have seen their performance in WC, we are seeing their performance in this series. Against a team like India, they do not stand a chance.

I suppose no one.

I had some doubts in T-20 format but not in ODI, despite Indian team doing some experiments with the middle order. But you never rule out Windies team, if there T-20 mindset clicks then they are a destructive team, and that's precisely I want for Last ODI so that we can witness some excellent cricket from both sides, so far this tour is turning out to be boring.

My eyes are on Test series though. I remember when Windies beat the shit out of the English team in Test, so finger crossed lol.
