But Messi facing Pep and all the superstars in both squads, that would be a final worth every single second of the 90 minutes watching the game. I think that Messi will have one of his stronger seasons of his career in the coming year. Ligue 1 won't motivate him much although he will deliver, but in the CL I can see him go nuts once more as if he had to prove something bigger one more time.
Football spectacle tat will be indeed. If Pep gets his team glued together without strikers and good old Poch finds his way to meld the egos at his disposal I think the match will be huge. But a semifinal match only please, I'd love to see Klopp and Poch go at each other's throats in a final... heavy metal football versus Galactico 2.0! P.S. Don't forget Europa and Conference league games tonight people;)

@morvillz7z Too bad about -CryptoViking- I actually do recall him now you mention it. Anyway, I don't really agree about pricing out, since most of the participants are on signature campaigns but it is one consideration so fair point, and I know I had to convince a couple of guys here as they actually would BUY btc or wait for campaign payments to come in to pay the fee (hence the grace period). Perhaps we should consider capping the fee in fiat at some point, or find a way people could participate on a lower tier fee, perhaps in return for a "stake". It does complicate things though and I haven't actually seen someone comment saying they would participate if the fee were lower. On the other hand, in the EPL thread, many more people have expressed they're fine with the fee, and some have actually asked for higher, or double and triple fees haha. I believe it's simply a lack of interest in a season-long competition. I'd love to see ex-participants speak up about the fee being higher though if that's really the case. Also, you get a freebet HALF the entry fee on Serie A and La Liga, so we've actually cheapened the fee to less than £20 on these 2 pools =)

It's not going to "force" anything, the EU is already taking steps in that direction as I was saying in a previous comment:
That's them bending the knee to the US. There might be a small sliver of hope for other countries. If this bill does pass unchanged, and forces miners, nodes, developers, indeed the entire cryptocurrency industry out of the US, then other developed nations will see a big boost to their own industries, along with the growth, profit and taxable revenue that this brings. They might decide it is in their best interests to legislate more cautiously/cleverly, and attract as much of this their country as possible. Imagine the advantage, for example, if one country had attracted the majority of early internet developers. They may view bitcoin and cryptocurrency in the same way.
And on a perhaps unrelated note, amazing that this few lines about crypto in a bill totally unrelated to crypto, was what held up everyone. On a big picture view, this event will be seen as a watershed moment and will do more for recognition that first thought. Anyway, next chance up for amendment, on to the House. Will probably happen later this year on the back of another ATH ride.

Unsurprisingly, my 5-leg acca buried so we're off to a negative bankroll balance. Super Cup tonight! I had a grand time with Villareal beating Man Utd in the Europa League, so I'll be so looking forward to them taking it off Chelsea too. But a full time victory, this time, please yellow submarine? 100 units at Sportsbet on Villareal to WIN vs Chelsea @6.28. Other odds: 5.95 Units advantage: 33 Running advantage after 3 bets: +200 (+33) All-time cumulative: +68,578 Running units after 1 bet (0W|1L): -100

Hahaha, It's really funny. But now we can’t take the PSG team lightly. They have one of the best players in the world in their team. Ramos is one of the best players in the world in defending. Messi is the dribbling master at the forward, moreover, there is no other player with such great speed as Mbappe. One of the best goalkeepers Donnarumma is in their squad. PSG will be a little ahead of Manchester City in terms of players. But City is in charge of Guardiola. He can turn the game around at any time.
Never have, I always think they'll go far, but fall short -- sort of like City. Slick as you like, bursting with talent, but you question their ability to dig in, and it's hard to be hungrier than the underdogs once you reach the final. Real is probably one of the few teams capable of that feat and that's down to Zidane having his team at his feet. PSG-City final on the cards? Cept I got Liverpool to win it at almost 9/1 ha ha. With players like Neymar, Mbappé and the campaign, PSG will definitely be the Champions League favorite, their only problem is that the domestic championship does not allow maintaining a high level of players' motivation due to its weakness. It is very good that there is always a high level of randomness in the playoffs and that other teams always have the opportunity to beat the money bag ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) No one enjoys it like I do. Almost every 10/1 or more game in UCL is a must-bet for me;)

Lazio for me! agree, there is time, but last year there was no particular interest in the end, and it was non-paying pool (planned to be with fees, but interest was really low) in the end, it was only to winner get sponsorship money
Haha yeah, I remember very well, although I actually mistakenly thought all fees were paid, and was happy to pay out the winner (Harkorede) since the thread wasn't inactive anyway and we all actually put our picks in! I see interest in the pools has diminished from last year. So far we always had more players every year and this year we will less for first time. That goes mainly for Premier League, I am still hoping/expecting same number of players in this pool like last year.
Strange occurrence for me too. It could be interesting to ask players who dropped out why they're not playing and see what can be done to fix it. I know ONE guy said he didn't like Superbru so he left (I don't like them too but it's the best option I feel, plus there's actually an additional prize to win there!).

I have warned in some of my comments before that the US has too much of a role in the world of cryptocurrencies with all that infrastructure and with its influence on the rest of the world. If such a law were passed, then it is only a matter of time before US allies would also be forced to act in the same direction, which means that the EU, Japan, Israel, the UK, India, and many other countries would do something similar.
Somehow missed this point yesterday, and it's more valid by the day. Ask anyone anywhere in the world working in finance/banking. When it comes to compliance, they can find wiggle room for EU laws, even for OECD but if it just breathes on OFAC and the US, everything else is put on the back burner. "US nexus" is the kill-all in compliance. And if this bill passes, which it looks like it will, it's going to force the EU and others to change the way they view crypto dealings with individuals/p2p.

Yes, yes, Gers out. They did me well in Europa but it wasn't to be this season, maybe the league loss so soon after the Invincibles season took a bite out of their morale. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.ibb.co%2FM1PYK3T%2Fimage.png&t=663&c=5fWEKq3XbDJ5Qw) PSG odds to win UCL have never been better, but City (!) still the favourites?

Well i like this it's moving!
Sorry for ask this but its any pool for UCL this year?
I'm sure there'll be one, @hilariousandco organised the last couple (or has it been 3 seasons already?). It'll just be down to sponsorship but I reckon there might be an auction for that. As usual, happy to throw in my (small) hat to kick things off;) There's still plenty of time for that since the Group Stages only kick off on September 14, a month odd from now.

Flora to win and BTTS: 9/1 Shakhtar, Monaco, PSV, Rangers, Benfica: 12/1
Over 1.5 goals in all UCL games: 11/1
I also took almost all of these offers and by the way, one of them has already won! Flora scored in the 88th minute, so congratulations to everyone who got on this train! Hopefully in the next 3 days we will see even more attractive offers! I would not mind betting on total goals in the Premier League ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) Edited: Looks like I messed up something, for some reason I thought that Flora was not playing at home. Sorry, I made a mistake. The special was on Flora to qualify and BTTS... and they've just been knocked out on penalties after missing two =( Shame as it was 12/1 live betting on Flora to just win after trailing by one goal. Should have smashed that instead! Over 1.5 goals also dead in the water on the first game (damn you Red Star). Shakhtar leading by 2 goals still hoping for the rest to pull through. Oh well =)

When you say “impossible to legally use in the US,” does that mean the entire crypto industry would simply collapse into the US if this bill passes? The wording of the original bill is so broad that it essentially makes everyone a broker, and all brokers are legally required to process tax forms for every single one of their customers. It makes all exchanges brokers, and so non-KYC accounts become a thing of the past. To understand how this affects regular people, just think about how it's impossible to use Localbitcoins as a normal US person without being registered as a broker. And how many normies have faced enforcement just for using LBC without the "licence". I worked with US freelancers, accepting payment in Bitcoin. The only way they could cash out was to use Bitcoin ATMs with upwards of 10% fees. I know there are better options now, but the US simply doesn't like people transacting outside of the system. If such a bill were to pass, everyone would be using Bitcoin at exorbitant tax rates and they'd only be able to "hold" "Bitcoin" on PayPal, Coinbase, etc.

Right then guys, time to snag some wins! I took every special for Conference and Europa this evening, and of course, the Prem League countdown (duh).
Flora to win and BTTS: 9/1 Shakhtar, Monaco, PSV, Rangers, Benfica: 12/1 Over 1.5 goals in all UCL games: 11/1
Easy peasy right?
@DireWoldM14: sweetness, so proud of you @toma: well PSG's always had the best team assembled but they're atrophying in Ligue 1 and shellshocked in UC: =p Liverpool 84/10 still my really early pick but odds dropped to 64/10 now;) @slaman29 hope you caught them all;)
|
|
|
Kind of expected that as soon as I bet on the underdog, I miss out;) It was just the one bet though, adding my losing streak on UFC but I feel like I'm going to go martingale on UFC underdog, after this, doubling my bets until I win back everything. At this rate and considering max bets, I could probably last another 4 or 5 losing streaks. Easy right?

Guys, just wanted to bring your attention to the bitcointalk Serie A prediction pool which you can signup here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5262677.400Only 1 mbtc to pay for the whole season, 1st place winner takes 50% of the prize pot, which is the sum of all fees from players BUT there's already a prize pot mainly from Sportsbet of 45 mbtc (> $2000 already) so it's pretty big value for money if you think you're good at predictions;) You also get half of your fee back as an immediate freebet at Sportsbet, so you're essentially paying only about $22 for an entire season's worth of fun. Looking at you with hope @hahay @tygeade @coinlocket$ ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Good update, thanks. I've already PM'd a couple of people already and convinced good old slaman to play in both haha (you'll also thank me later when you win 2nd place since I'll win first heh).
No bites yet from ClubTalk but I'll keep mentioning it there and in Serie A thread.

Thanks for following, too. I had a terrible end to last season, hope I can bring all the luck back in 4th one;)
I feel like you have best results when you play your game - betting on singles against big favorites. These x5 multi tickets on Sportsbet are killing you ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Just shows how good that insurance promo is, I am also playing them every single day and loosing more then I am winning and still I can't stop playing it. Just looks too good to pass. Thanks man, and yes, personally, I agree. I haven't actually done the research but I definitely recall all 3 seasons, bulk of the profits were made just from singles, and even the ones I didn't post here (since I rarely post everything), when I look at my Fairlay account, which is 99% ML, I'm in profit and it's from big underdog wins. 5x acca is a real killer, agree, I'm terrible at picking favourites... but as you say, the value is too great to ignore. That said, I think I've hit 3/4 5-legs in recent months that I don't post in here, I should go back and look to see if I actually got in profit (very sure I didn't). Insurance and the boost? How can you ignore that, right? ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) But now EPL starts again, I might do accas across longer days (not all in 24 hour period).

I translated the content on the paper for everyone
Thanks for the translation. Super useful. It didn't sound half as bad as the scorned man I initially labeled him as. Power to him, and what a shame for the girl who started collecting it with him, but couldn't stay in the belief. Sitting on a gold mine she didn't know about. But hey, you gotta live life and make choices for the present. Not sure I'll ever become a former poor boi but I can settle for comfy guy.

Let's also start mentioning this thread. I've given it a shoutout in ClubTalk and will continue to do so. I guess people do have lives.
What do you mean lives ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) Am I missing something out there while hanging around here and gambling? I got so used with the bircointalk that I visit every day, even if it is just for few minutes from my mobile phone while waiting in the line for the groceries. I am only checking watchlist topics though so I can miss new topics easy but I never miss posts in the existing threads or when someone pings me with my username. Heh, I pretend to have something a bit different from everyone else but the current life that coincided with the time I got into Bitcoin is actually a lot of time spent behind a screen and daily commuting. A lot of my access on bct is also on mobile... and you know guys how frustrating it can be haha yet I put up with it (and even did before being on sig campaign). The Speculation threads, even the mining and trading, most of which I am only following with no comment, it's pretty out of this world;) It's really pretty good to kill time as I spend ~2 hours a day just commuting, most of that in a bus. And now web telegram's really improved, yeah, easy to see your post mentioned and get back to it later. I do like the new Saints one. My Watford is well-worn. Well, well, well-worn.
