6861  Economy / Economics / Re: WORLD CRISIS IN 2018 on: September 19, 2018, 12:30:38 PM
What is the essence of hoarding gold if there will be a global crisis? Gold could be beneficial if the crisis is restricted to just one location. Neither Cryptocurrency nor Gold will be very beneficial in a global crisis. The new Gold in my opinion would be long lasting quality food
6862  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Easy to bring down BTC price? on: September 18, 2018, 10:40:50 PM
It can be brought down through complicated and subtle means...you won't even realize it until you pay close attention. I believe this is easier on centralized exchanges.

Developers could effectively avoid market manipulation by avoiding/restricting the listing of their coins on all of such public exchanges and possibly create their own mini exchanges where their coins can be traded. But this may not be a good idea for Cryptocurrency due to its important values of decentralization and permissionless. Maybe used as a temporal measure until normalcy is restored?
6863  Economy / Economics / Re: If i could manage the government! on: September 18, 2018, 10:24:49 PM
Good thinking but to implement it all takes a long time especially for developing countries. If the blockchain system is implemented by the government it is good especially corruption is now increasingly widespread.

Should not take long even in the Developing Countries if there are competent leaders. Lying, incompetency, covering up frauds will be pretty much difficult for politicians on open Blockchain.

Won't be too difficult to implement in my opinion. There is nothing difficult in being transparent. Full governance on Blockchains will be achieved with or without the support of  traditional Countries. It will be most efficient and unattractive to politickers/politicians.
6864  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How I handle crypto regret on: September 18, 2018, 09:57:05 PM
Good writeup.
I do not regret my trades and other should not either.

Never regret your trades... learn from them instead. If you have learned something worthwhile you will avoid repeating thesame mistakes.. .If you don't you will keep repeating the mistakes.

I tend to ignore a coin completely and move to another one once it is sold, to avoid the regrets when it start moving up. I don't care whether it gains x4 after selling it.
6865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Day trading on: September 18, 2018, 09:02:46 PM
To get a big profit you also have to have a large capital if you want to do daily trading, different things with monthly or annual trading that requires little capital.

Trading with large amounts as a newbie isn't just advisable whether you learn trading or not. Better to start small and watch your investment increase over time....it  is very encouraging and satisfying. I think you will also gain a lot of experience in the process.
You can always add more fund when you become super confident in your trading skills.

It is just typical investment — You start small with a new company then gradually scale up the business when the company starts doing well consistently.
6866  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum price killing a lot of new ICO tokens on: September 18, 2018, 08:50:28 PM
This has nothing to do with Ethereum price. Try thesame thing on Ethereum alternatives nothing really will change. The prices of  Cryptocurrencies generally are on the decrease.

The tokens are probably not valuable to the holders? Developers need to create stuff worth holding. Or token distributors should find ways of rewarding those who would value/hold their tokens.
6867  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell car for Bitcoin on: September 18, 2018, 08:31:22 PM
Proof or I don't believe this. Your friend can't be that dumb? unless this happened last year during the bull run. Won't be surprised if some media and the ignorant ones pick this up and begin to publish it as though itwas true. Some are in the habit of spreading this to sort of tales to show how Cryptocurrency is bad for humans and destroying the planet. Anyone can claim anything these days. Only the truth stands.
6868  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you using ETH for? on: September 13, 2018, 09:33:45 PM
It is a good and useful Cryptocurrency.
It's not as bad as they want us to believe. There are some pretty useful decentralized applications that run on Ethereum such as,
- Cryptokitty(I have never used it before)
- Status (chat app)
-IDEX(decentralized exchange)
- Bancor
- Etherdelta
- Forkdelta
- Localethereum(decentralized Localbitcoin alternative)
- Metamask(decentralized browser) etc..

Most people who scream s*coin at Ethereum don't even know these applications exist.
6869  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Long-term investment. on: September 13, 2018, 09:17:21 PM
Cryptocurrency still remains one of the best choice for long term investment. There are few great projects that can make you good profit in 2-5 years time.
Important Question now is whether their future valuation will depend on the price of Bitcoin which is clearly being stagnated.

6870  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin legalized in Uzbekistan and Iran on: September 13, 2018, 08:10:57 PM
I do not think Bitcoin was legalized in Iran. The country's government allegedly recognized the mining of Cryptocurrency. That does not necessarily mean it made Crypto legal. Could mean the government would be more tolerants of the use of Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrency and not being hostile towards them like China.
6871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I wonder what you think of this new EOS exchange? on: September 13, 2018, 08:03:29 PM
You funny my friend. The language is Chinese. How do you expect us to read and review the exchange?
What is the name of the exchange by the way? I think there are many Cryptocurrency exchanges on EOS Network. So which one specifically so you want us reviewed?
6872  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the most interesting crypto-related projects in your opinion? on: September 13, 2018, 07:50:32 PM
NEO (neo.org) — Reasons including a strong management team, an amazing global open community of developers (City of Zion), strategic partnerships with other companies, digital identity, and smart economy. NEO’s functionality is similar to Ethereum but is extremely undervalued in my opinion. NEO also supports many popular development languages such as Java, .NET, Python and others.

OmiseGO (omisego.network) — This is one of the most promising projects in the entire crypto space. Omise is an already existing company in Asia with a strong team and advisors that include the founder Ethereum, Vitalik Buterin. They have several strong partnerships with major companies in Asia. Their promise is to unbank the banked.

BAT (basicattentiontoken.org)— Basic Attention Token (BAT) is one of the few projects in this space that have an already working product. Brave is a web browser created by the BAT team that improves the efficiency of the digital advertisement industry. The founder of BAT is the same person who created the highly popular web development language, Javascript.

Golem (golem.network) — If the development team succeed in releasing a functional product as they have promised, Golem will truly be one of the best use cases for the blockchain technology. Golem is trying to create the first decentralized global supercomputer. Their mission is to use all the unused computing power around the world (including personal devices) to increase rendering efficiency that requires massive computing power to function (such as animation movies).

Civic (civic.com) — With the major credit bureau hacks this year, Civic is trying to solve the identity security issue. They also have a functioning product (Civic App) that lets your identity be easily verified on the blockchain with a QR code. With a simple scan of a QR code, civil is removing the pain of user sign-ups/sign-ins. They already have several major partnerships that include wikiHow.com and many others.

I have heard a lot good stuff about NEO. Wonder why very few people are using the Cryptocurrency.
Here is an interesting site that ranks the activities on Blockchains. NEO is not even among the top 10 Blockchains. https://blocktivity.info
Is there a reason why developers don't find the Cryptocurrency interesting?

"[Marshall Island] authorities should seriously reconsider the issuance of the digital currency as legal tender,"
I do not understand this very well. Was IMF warning the country against running ICO?
or you mean IMF warned the island against the issuance of Cryptocurrency as legal tender.

But how can IMF warn (with threats) a sovereign country against issuing a digital currency (Cryptocurrency probably?) and running an ICO? Isn't the island an independent nation? Article is disturbing in many ways.

Lest I forget: wonder when IMF will begin to threaten countries with investments rather than useless Aid

Cavemen were painting art 20,000 years ago without the desire of money.

This is mere theory. Weak theory for that matter.
Who are these Cavemen by the way? We were told are people who were  incapable of farming, building homes, mining etc Lifestyle can be influenced by diet and environment. They probably have the idea of building beautiful homes but lack the resources and the willpower.

Capitalism does not cause innovation, most new technology is found by government programs like nasa (internet, smartphones, etc)
I agree with this abit.
Some say that modern science and technology  deep rooted in occultism. You just have to research to understand how. This probably explains why the big inventions come mostly from government and corporations funded projects/people?
The current technological trends seem to be predetermined. The progress is not very evolutionary.  These cool technologies could not be invented thousands of years ago and all of a sudden we began inventing them. I read that the goal is to transform our World into a virtual world (from Iron age to non-material/spirit world) and make us like gods

Free market/Capitalism does encourage innovation but it shouldn't be as fast and advanced as the current technological progress. *Something may be interfering.*  Just my opinion.
6875  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the Blockchain overhyped? Blockchain Digital Transformation [Infographic] on: September 13, 2018, 03:10:11 PM
Not overhyped at all.

It is a technology for people who want  independence, freedom, honesty, privacy, transparency, durability, decentralization, smart society, accountability, fairness, security, justice and economic freedom. If you are scared of these things you'd most likely be very scared of Blockchain.

It is the greatest technology of all time. Nothing that is being promised is impossible to be achieved. The best is yet to come.
6876  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The fall of cryptocurrency on: September 13, 2018, 03:05:50 PM
Seems op quit already? Been long he used his account.
I guess he/she was here only for this $ reason. Nothing will make me quit unless Cryptocurrency is taken over by people we are fleeing from. This is why Passion for what you do matters a lot.
Passion for decentralization and Crypto is what keeps some of us going.
No business is easy or risk free.
6877  Economy / Economics / Re: What don't you like about Banks and Banks controlling your money on: September 13, 2018, 01:33:30 AM
The freezing of customers' accounts by banks in collaboration with so called government officials happens occasionally and it is what annoys me the most about banks. It is the most lawless part of banking industry.  They can be easily told what to do by the President and his/her people whether the court agrees or not.

6879  Economy / Economics / Re: After Nine Bitcoin ETF Rejections! What is the Solution to Mainstream Adoption? on: September 13, 2018, 01:12:56 AM
Solution remains peer-to-peer decentralized transactions. It is the original goal of Bitcoin for a good reason. Other solutions (especially the centralized solutions ) are corruption of what Bitcoin represents . .
ETF and other like it are uneccessary distraction in my opinion . Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrency have visions. We need to stick to the visions by all means.
 Centralization must be avoided.
6880  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin & Australia's new "Assistance and Access" (Illegalizing Encryption) on: September 13, 2018, 12:56:22 AM
We could store our private keys in our brains assuming they haven't figured out how to hack into people's brains or we could simply write them down on paper. People allover the world should be worried about this because If they succeed in passing the bills many nations will try to copy it.
The whole thing is getting too frequent these days and it is only going get worse in the future.
