6881  Economy / Reputation / Re: Let's BUST some BESTchange participants. on: February 24, 2020, 02:49:58 PM
Great job, OP. The title is pointing finger to Bestchange but they have no fault here, it is my opinion. If you agree, can change the title in "Bestchange Campaign abuse" or "Signature campaign abuse by alt", your wish although.
Bestchange is out of the case, so I think we must not include bestchange on the issue. Yes some tagged are all from Bestchange signature participants but its quite rude to suggest these Bestchange Campaign abuse and Signature campaign abuse.

Glad to have you explained it @plvbob0070 still there's doubt especially if you look at the connection I've made from the bottom. Other DTs will take a look at the situation. Thanks for your explanation.
Sound's credible to me but of course this will depend on DTs decision. I see how @plvbob0070 and @Debonaire217 work on their rank up and many have noticed that they are good poster not just on our local thread but also outside this section. I think many will testify here even DTs.

I'm not a DT member and my words here wouldnt mean anything I just say what I observed on those two accounts Ive mentioned on what Ive noticed and saw during those time they are actively posting and sharing here in forum. DTs should check out and have vivid investigastion before laying such punishment.

we are not the inquisition here, but every case needs its own research.
This how DTs think and writes well. Not just waiting for other DTs to tag those who has been reported in this post and put tagged once there someone started. That's lame.
6882  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin ATM's fees and their price rates ? on: February 24, 2020, 02:50:53 AM
my cousin lived in Canada.
I wanna that my cousin buys some BTC from bitcoin ATMs.
Bitcoin machines are not yet regulated in Canada, however regulations have been officially proposed for all bitcoin exchangers.[8] The Canadian Department of Finance circulated a draft of the proposed regulations in June 2018, but the law is not in Regulations or in-effect as of January 2019.[10]
Check this out.  Maybe you cant ask your cousin to buy you there might wanna do an online instead of it.

Is it just me or Bitcoin ATMs are something unnecessary. Bitcoin is an electronic currency and doesn't require a physical ATM  Grin
You got a point. But I dont think creation of Bitcoin's ATM doesnt serve any advantages or purpose. I can site some I think advantages of it.

  • If there is no available internet connection, you cant use your web/wallets to transact or even cash out right? That's where bitcoin atm can possibly be used.
  • Save you from trouble registering on Cryptoexchange and fulfill KYC processes (mostly asked for it). In Physical bitcoin machine can easily cash out. I'm not trying it yet but I can say it have some purpose on my part.
  • Can also save you from peer to peer scam when you are trading something. Probably some atms can have some features of exchanging major coins

6884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: ERC-20 Tokens Not Showing % in Ethplorer on: February 23, 2020, 03:14:16 PM
Hey Guys,

I'm still trying to figure out this whole ERC-20 token system. I know that myethereumwallet is where all my tokens are stored, however I have many that aren't showing up and/or registering.

Sometimes that's the case when you check on ethplorer. Try to compare with etherscan, you can see that some that reflects there are not showing in ethplorer maybe the reason for this is the token isnt recognized by the ethplorer.

Hey Guys,

Any help on this matter is appreciated. Also, if anyone would be so kind as to give me some merit, i'm trying to bring my account to a much more trustworthy status on here. Thanks again for all of your help!
Giving you merits wouldnt increase your trust status. You need to earn it here by being trustworthy. Though merit can give you a high rank status and be able to be trusted in the future. However, asking merit here is prohibited and considered as merit begging. I advise not to do this again, or worse you can get banned soon.
6885  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Placing coins in storage or setting stop losses? on: February 23, 2020, 12:53:28 PM

as for market cap, that is the problem nowadays with people, they think just because a website called coinmarketcap.com ranks a coin on top then it must be good or safe to use!
In terms of investment looking into top 10 in a website called coinmarketcap wouldnt hurt a bit. There are people trusted the ranking of cryptocurrency coins listed there. Yeah youre definitely right. Good or safety of coins must not be dependant on that? Can I ask? for people who dont have much experience and knowledge which reference should they seek advise or any legit website to depend on? I appreciate if you could recommend some.

Most investors and traders response, when newbies asking which coin to invest with, I am sure more of them will response just choose top 10, 20 or even 50 in the market to be safe (pretty sure they are referring to CMC). There is no such thing as safe, cause even bitcoin its still risky. Dont see much difference aside from the centralization of tether and btc when it comes to OP's topic IMO.

6887  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: LOCKED TOKENS RECEIVED FROM BOUNITES on: February 23, 2020, 08:55:33 AM
Is it possible to check by myself it the tokens are locked or not (in case team is silent or ignore my question)? Maybe this can be done by investigating contracts source code ? Or by "event" log on http://etherscan.io of the contract?

Yes you can. Try the simple one and much effective way. Send to other wallet the token if it does failed then its locked. The only reason the transaction failed its either you dont have enough gas to cover the tx fee or the tokens are still locked. Anyway it will be noted when it got failed.

Regarding source code, I'm no expert with this, so I'm not sure if this is possible or how to. But the abovementioned process is much easier though you need to spend a little just to know.

The article itself (the one with the hyperlink) was not made by me. I just basically shared the contents here, but added together with my own biased opinions and preference plus simplified info, hence the reduced number of sites I shared.

Oh mb, didn't know that. Might ask for it to be deleted then, like, edit the post and completely remove the contents or something like that.
You mean the website? Ah I see I thought what article youre referring to. No need to edit post and say such thing like asking to delete. I dont think its necessary as your post is relevant. Why not just add more useful when you encounter more websites.

I wasn't the original article writer btw, I just wanted to share it here, especially to newbies who don't have any idea where to look in terms of information/statistics regarding the crypto scene.

Im confuse what you meant by not the original article writer? These are websites and the notes you state on each one is useful and bit interesting. What you mean is the labels on different site isnt you?

PS. If there was a post like this before, do tell. I might just remove the thread itself since both posts might have duplicate information and all.
I dont think you cant remove the thread yourself even there is duplicate mate since we cant delete created thread. Unless moderator find it needed to be delete.

I think this is a nice thread and very informative although some have been explained and post already. The post is neat. I just hope, that it is you, the one write it. Cause I confuse with what you mean on the last statement I qoute from you.
6892  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie members syndicate and rights on: February 22, 2020, 10:06:43 AM
I think Newbie members are endangered species and I would like them to have special rights in this forum.

Partly yes I agree. They are endangered since most of them have ranking up already on Junior rank and above, but there are still members with this rank with lots of post and activity but still retain their ranks. But some of them stay because of one valid reason.. (They want to becomr hall of famer for becoming bounty hunters at newbies level)..

What do you mean by safer newbies? Kinda confuse with this.

I always reminisce the time of being a newbie so I respect most of newbies here that really contribute and share honestly on forum more than some non stop high rank here.

6895  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Placing coins in storage or setting stop losses? on: February 21, 2020, 08:40:34 AM
but as someone who wants to "store" for longer periods of time you must never touch a centralized and crappy altcoin such as Tether (aka USDT). it is highly risky to use that. it can disappear in any moment and it doesn't matter how safe it looks so far.
Why because its an "altcoin"? Tether is also supported by some hardware wallets so I dont get why its different than bitcoin? For trading isnt advisable cause as what you mentioned its great use is inside the exchange to defeat volatility. Storing purposes what's the difference? Nothing isnt it. I dont think a top 6 market cap coin would suddenly vanished in any moment.

6897  Other / Meta / Re: [LIST] Open Merit Source Applications... on: February 21, 2020, 08:01:41 AM
Perhaps instead of candidates nominating themselves, we should have candidates who are nominated by others and also exhibit the capacity to be impartial when dispensing those merits.

The task is voluntary mate. What if that someone you nominated hasnt up for the job? So I think its better to stay with the same method of self nomination and application..

I kinda like the idea but there are some lapses too like what @Debonaire217 mentioned.

Thus, self nomination of the members who are truly passionate and dedicated to distribute merit is quite better.
Agree with this. A voluntary task is way more effective and we can see his determination to do so. Plus Theymos will pick him up to see if his really qualified.

6898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MovieBloc Versus VIDT which platform you think deserved to be on Binance. on: February 21, 2020, 04:17:44 AM
The contest end guys. The winner is MBL, I already think of it but still go for vidt. Anyway, that's life the rewards for voting the winner and loser is only $6 as I only have two votes. Anyway will locked now the thread thanks for all those who shared their thoughts about these two projects.

Im still thinking to buy some MBL since it could gain so much as it get listed on Binance but we will see then once it got listed.
6899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Comparing DAPPS by Traffic and Volume on: February 21, 2020, 02:47:56 AM
On the other hand, DApp traffic may hint at a better measure for genuine adoption.

More at www.daomaker.com

I think there is some sort of bias here for result. Daomaker is another project and might probably favor their own dApp. Why not check here where all of platforms with dAppa can be rated including traffics and ratings.

The comparison of traffic and volume of a dapp doesn't have a sense imo.
Why not? dApps are the backboned of the biggest platforms in terms of smart contract such as ethereum, tron, eos and many more. Having their dApps rated is one way to see how their platform gain users in terms of their dApps. Anyway that's your opinion.
