I don't see the difference between SegWit2x and BitcoinCash do you? both are meant to increase the blocksize. If you can see it on a blockexplorer (blockdozer) then Its very likely that this is only a display issue, have you tried to send it somewhere else? an exchange or another wallet that you control to see If they tell you insufficient funds or not.

I was planning to wait until Trezor V2 is out so I could buy it but this article mentions that this problem is valid for that version and even KeepKey as well. If you are afraid that they will steal your bitcoins which I know they won't because I stored some decent amounts in their wallets before, you can always send your bitcoins elsewhere and then type the seed you have there, the worst case scenario here is that you will lose your BCH but again, there is no reason for them to scam you.

The wallet/exchange actually displayed a message stating that the fees are 40$ ? I mean If you are trying to withdraw the whole thing and they just told you that you can't cover the fees then It's possible that It will work by lowering the withdrawal amount to 35$ or something. It's impossible for the fees to be that high whether its a simple wallet where you only pay the network fees or an exchange where you pay withdrawal fees but there is a possibility that there is a bug on their end. If the problem persists, you may want to contact them.
