So, the market crashed from 357k till 10k.. dude, 150btc traded in 15min. Do the math.  it's impossible to tell from where all that REP came, but it's just too much to be called as "market movement" or "Panic Sell". to me it's clear it was dumped there. Bitcoin There is more than likely going to be that one coin that most people sold but a very rare few who hold on to the wallet for their whole lives. There is no coin like that. To make this more fun you have to assume that you will only have one of the coin you will place your faith in. So if you chose doge being rare you'd have to assume having only one dogecoin would be worth thousands.

What's needed in the altcoin scene is innovation. Anonymous coins are still being created. Making a coin have fast transaction or getting listed on exchanges will work for a few pumps. But most of the coins are clones of clones. Bring something new and let people decide if the new things you thought of are indeed useful. And get some good marketing team. Else the new coin will be lost in the sea of altcoins, whether the coin was good or not. Lol The Shadow cash had been made in 2014, and it already created for a long time ago, another anonymous coin was copying his idea. They are clone it becomes plagued for crypto, that is fucking coin right now. But investor was smarter they are not taking the clone coin which means a lot of them was failing. |

Even im new on trading i would still prefer bittrex because its reputable and been operating for longer days already and i didnt even heard about livecoins it maybe famous for someone but not for me. I will just stick to old ways since there are lots of exchanges out there and we i should bother to put up money on an exchange that i didnt heard of.
and there's also good volume inside bittrex so we can make big deals as well and like what you have said bittrex already established their name as a good reputable trading exchange and there's many investors and traders out there. Im really checking out first the volume of coins that are being trade on a particular exchanges before i do use it just like what you said bittrex had good volume which really indicated lots of people do make trade with them.Just like poloniex, bittrex is good too and also c-cex. I use ccex when i see some nice price for some alt coins i trade non stop 👍🏼 Ccex has many silly coins, and it such exchange in my mind. There is no interest for trade in there. I dont think so. Banks are centralized while bitcoin is the opposite of banks. What will happen to banks if they start adopting blockchain technology? These two are very different and against each other. For that to be happen, banks should be decentralized in able to work well. I really doubt this will be happen even in the future.

I made a cost comparison between Genesis-Mining & Zcash-Miner. Read it below... At Genesis-Mining, 260 Sol/s for one year cost 2699 USD, i.e. 3.59 BTC at current Preev rate. Therefore, 10 Sol/s for one year cost 3.59/26, i.e. 0.138 BTC. At Zcash-Miner, 10 Sol/s for three months cost 0.0125 BTC. Therefore, 10 Sol/s for one year cost 0.0125*4, i.e. 0.05 BTC. Hence, Genesis-Mining.com costs 0.138/0.05, i.e. 2.76 times higher than Zcash-Miner.com. Nice comparison, But I don't think if they will get same number with his first investment. I wish too, After intentional fork they need a lot of power for gaining previous price again. It's weird looking at the word "Fork" or the words "Hard Fork". Especially when you compare them in the Bitcoin world and the Ethereum world. They are really starting to lose all meaning. And there is so much misunderstanding about them. In the Bitcoin world "Hard Fork" is almost a dirty word. Whereas in the Ethereum world a "Hard Fork" is the way the system is upgraded. Ethereum always had several Hard Forks planned from the beginning. Yes, there have been a couple of unexpected ones too. But these are fundamentally different attitudes. We are not saying one approach is better than the other. But it is very interesting to see such divergent approaches in action. Would some alts be a lot more difficult to shut down than others?
For example IF the euro union/US/ etc tried to blanket ban crypto which could survive if they went after them at an isp level or deeper level (that may be possible but i don't understand)?

They couldn't. Impossible for isp level. The best answer was bitcoin. Alt? no more. But the alt was getting spread around the world were becoming difficult to get shut down. The hardest to shutdown is the ones with the more powerfull and descentralised mining, the problem is that with the time the mining is becoming more and more centralised... I heard that monero has plans to implement smartmining making every people running the official software a miner, hope that it bring some descentralising to the table

Can someone recommend a site to start trading altcoins? I'm looking for one that is trusted and has a good variety of coins.
I would recommend poloniex or bittrex, these two are very reliable exchange since then both platform had never been involve in any issue or controversies so it is safe to start trading for a newbie. It looks like most of you are recommending Polonex and Bittrex so I'll look at those when I get a chance. Thank you all for the great advice. Anymore words of wisdom will be appreciated. This is a totally good advice to anyone, better for us still to be careful specially in investing other coins. Zcash is very risky to invest in though we need to be a risk taker but not in something you know that your sure you are already loose. It is better to wait for a few more months when the ZCash is more stable and not hyped, then we can buy some. There is two possibilities, The current price of zcash will very cheap if they will get a big pump in the future. The two We may not know about the future of zcash, Zprice may increase or not. I got the alt plan, buy some at the current and keep a half of your amount for the future. but the chance of lost was getting stable at 50:50. |
