@cygan, @nakamura12, @Woodie
None of those suggestions is the correct one. Let's keep them coming. I will add one more character to the term if a solution isn't found by the end of the day.
6902  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Pmalek’s Complete the Word Game and Get Merits on: November 25, 2021, 06:11:00 PM
1. Tamper-Proof
Correct!

2.   whitepaper
5.   node core
"Whitepaper" is correct, but "node core" isn't the one.

One more term remains unsolved in Round #9 and it's a rather easy one if I am allowed to say that. Who can get it right?
6903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 25, 2021, 02:40:51 PM
According to several newspapers juventus will try to get Vlahovich from Fiorentina this January.
Does Juventus have the money to pull that off? He would be an amazing signing but considering how much the Violas hate Juventus, I am skeptical that they will give him up lightly the same way they did with Chiesa. The player's will is the deciding factor.

In different Juve-related news, it seems that the media speculation about the club wanting to sell Rabiot is true. Personally, I hope it happens. The guy has no vision, he doesn't possess the football intelligence to become great, and he lacks in desire. It will be hard to get a good offer for him.
6904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting superstitions. on: November 25, 2021, 02:32:16 PM
I guess I am a little weird that way. When I bet on sports and it is a game I don't plan to watch, I don't like following the events on a live-score. At least not from the beginning. I don't want to see the result of the first half and only check it later in the match.

My next superstition is not related to betting, but to sports and my favorite team. When my team pays, I wear my genuine jersey and I put a scarf either on the wall or somewhere close to me. Yes, I am a freak. Grin

<Snip>
Yeah, the prices are similar like with the official manufacturers. The only noteworthy discount from the site I posted is the Nano S, which is €14 cheaper than on the official site. The Nano X is €3 off, but many people agree that purchasing that device wouldn't be the best thing considering everything that has been happening with it recently.
6906  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: can someone help me check and get the private key working. on: November 25, 2021, 02:15:10 PM
What do you know about a person with the name satoshi nakamoto?, articles or replies newsweek.
I know that he could communicate clearly and was fluent in English. You on the other hand would struggle to spell your own name in English even though it contains exactly the same letters as in your native language.

keep in mind my purpose, and if you have any questions, i don't want to say, satoshi nakamoto is just a name i made up yes i'm back.
You have no purpose here besides pathetic trolling attempts. Soon you will disappear and life will continue as usual.

And if you can help other members with something, try to be a good person
If you want help try not to act like a schizophrenic. People with such disorders can receive help in specialized institutions. On this forum, you should state what the problem is so that people can help you.
6907  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] ChipMixer Signature Campaign | Sr Member+ on: November 25, 2021, 01:39:02 PM
Tell me about it! When I was a newbie, there was even a member attacking to me, because I didn't realize the campaign was CFNP.
That was me wasn't it? Or maybe you are talking about someone else? But I didn't attack you. I simply asked you why you though the campaign was open when it had CFNP in the subject. I don't remember how it was exactly, but I think they kept CFNP in their title but made a post that they are accepting new members. Anyways, it was not an attack towards you and you shouldn't see it that way.
6908  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Pmalek’s Complete the Word Game and Get Merits on: November 25, 2021, 01:13:09 PM
4. Cipher
This is correct.

@Etranger
"Escrow" is the right word but you are making multiple posts in a row and you are not allowed to do that. Let someone else guess and then you can make a second one. No merit for this one. Check the rules in OP. Although I don't want to see edited posts either, I have let that one slide since several members did it already and moderators are also editing and merging posts sometimes.

3. Virtual currency

2. Abstracted
6. Security token
You posted two in a row again. I have merited you for "virtual currency" but you are not getting anything for "security token" even though that one was correct as well.

I will add two new words for the ones you unscrambled with multi-posts.

6. security token , negative nonce
Etranger already solved that one. You can't make two or more proposals for the same term. Only one guess per term.
6909  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: My laptop crashed - need to restore Electrum on: November 25, 2021, 10:30:34 AM
You might want to dedicate an USB drive to backup your encrypted wallet file or create bootable linux with persistant storage, so you'll have more option to restore your Bitcoin.
If he backs up his Electrum wallet file on USB, wouldn't he have to create a fresh backup every time he uses that wallet to receive/send bitcoin? I connect to Electrum through a hardware wallet, so the Electrum generated wallet files have no importance to me whatsoever. I have never tried to recover a wallet with the Electrum-generated wallet file.

Be careful when searching through a search engine like Google, especially if you don't have AdBlock enabled - there are a lot of malicious crypto-related ads.
I am using two ad blockers but do they really protect against Google-sponsored ads (sites) as well? Like the ones we are used to seeing at the top of the Google search results when you search for an exchange or a crypto wallet.
6910  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: PLEASE HELP!!! Did I lose my BTC? (Coinbase-Electrum transfer 72h wait) on: November 25, 2021, 10:08:27 AM
When exactly did you create your wallet?
Myrnyi is not the OP. Kittn2 is and your question should be directed to him.

I store my seed in txt flle as well, and this file is in my phone, and noone can read it (except me). It's very easy... I have packed the file in 7zip with a password, the password is more than 20 characters long.
Besides the things that o_e_l_e_o mentioned, I assume you are aware of keyloggers and fake keyboard software that can record every touch you make on your phone which also includes the decryption password. You are also giving permissions to all kinds of software to access your memory, pictures, messages, camera... Can you trust all of that?

I encrypted my file a few years ago on my linux debian computer, I do not use this comp now. I have only this encrypted file in my phone and in two usb sticks that are in a metal safe, and I have learnt my seed by heart. Everything else is paranoia...
In that case, why do you also need a digital copy of your seed (even if its password-protected) on your phone. Your memory will weaken with age, sickness, or due to an accident. USB drives can fail and corrupt data with time. Have you ever checked if the USBs still hold what they once did?
6911  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Black Friday deals 2021 on: November 25, 2021, 09:42:27 AM
I found some deals on the Dutch site https://cryptomaan.nl/. This site is an official reseller for Ledger and you can find them in their reseller's network if you type in their name in the search bar provided at https://www.ledger.com/reseller.

The link to their hardware wallet offer is here > https://cryptomaan.nl/collections/hardware-wallets/.

They are offering a 10% discount on the Nano X and a 30% discount on the Nano S. The Nano X is available for €116 (the official Ledger store shows a price of €119 currently), and the Nano S costs €45 (the official Ledger store price is €59 currently).

The BitBox 02 is also on a 10% discount. The Bitcoin only and Multi editions are available for €107.
Another item on discount is the CRYPTOTAG - Zeus Starter Kit. It's available for €99 with a 23% discount.

They have a few other hardware wallets in their store including Trezor, Passport, etc.
6912  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: How do you send seed words over the Internet/unprotected or unencrypted network? on: November 25, 2021, 09:09:32 AM
I understand what you are talking about and you have already been offered the best ways to encrypt that sensitive data.
What I don't understand is why you want all that to be public? In your OP, you mentioned that the data could be posted publicly on the forum. Why a public post instead of an encrypted email client like Protonmail or at least the forum's PM system?

You said that it's a trusted party. You might as well make the deal in private. Or do you need to make it public so that you can show someone a link, such as a tweet or a forum post as proof?
6913  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: can someone help me check and get the private key working. on: November 25, 2021, 08:53:55 AM
Mentally unstable individuals really shouldn't open threads or be allowed to use a computer without the supervision of a doctor. Especially Satoshi Nakamotos who were scammed for 40 bitcoin, forgot the private key for their address that was funded with 750,000 BTC, and would like to add that amount to their blockchain.com wallet that already holds around 900 million bitcoins.
6914  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Pmalek’s Complete the Word Game and Get Merits on: November 25, 2021, 08:00:42 AM
Here are the words of the penultimate round of this game. Just like in the previous one, members of all ranks can participate and post what they think are the correct words.

Round #9

1.   tamper-proof
2.   whitepaper
3.   virtual currency
4.   cipher
5.   coin burn
6.   pseudonymity

* Members of all ranks can guess the terms.

Good Luck!
6915  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Bitcoin-store.hr zbirni topic on: November 24, 2021, 06:06:55 PM
Tongue
6916  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: luck or hack? on: November 24, 2021, 05:53:40 PM
If one day the BTCs in that account move, do you think it's a hack, or is it that someone lucky somehow owns that wallet?
Someone did and maybe still owns that wallet, but he does not have the private key of the address those 8999 BTC were sent to nor the backup of the updated wallet file after the transaction was made. He won't be able to get that private key anymore unfortunately.

If something like this happens, how will the community react?
If the coins move, it was either a joke that lasted for 10 years and we will laugh about it, or someone has found a way (or was lucky enough) to bruteforce that private key (currently impossible), in which case we should all be concerned about the security of our coins.

If these funds would ever move, i would probably conclude the OP was lying all along, maybe as a form of begging...
It's been too long. The value that those coins would have today have surpassed any donations he could have received in the meantime. And there have been many opportunities for him to simply cash out and live as a millionaire until the end of his life.
6917  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No Ban. Crypto will probably get Regulated in India. on: November 24, 2021, 05:26:30 PM
Overally, I don't see any nation will go to ban Bitcoin. They want regulation, yes. They want tax, yes. but they won't ban Bitcoin.
There are several countries where Bitcoin is actually banned. I think Egypt is one such country. I don't follow the news about these kind of things carefully, but isn't it banned in Nigeria since the beginning of 2021 as well? I think that Nigerian banks don't allow their clients to deal with crypto. China has banned bitcoin mining, and ICOs are already banned since several years. I am sure there are other examples in the Islamic nations, but I couldn't tell you for sure without looking it up.

The matter of fact is that India has actually prepared a draft bill on cryptocurrency and that will be presented to the parliament in December. It has already been added in their agenda. But no one knows what's gonna happen!
We all know that sometimes such documents find a way to fall off a truck and mysteriously land in the hands of some journalist. It cannot be ruled out that something like that hasn't or won't happen in India in regards to this crypto bill.
6918  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accepting BTC Tips on Webpage on: November 24, 2021, 10:25:25 AM
You could even take advantage of Bitcoin's URI Protocol Scheme features and make it easier for the donator to send you the coins. With one click of a button, the most important transaction information would get filled up automatically.
You can configure it for various amounts where the donators can click on the appropriate buttons to donate $1, $5, $10, $50 worth of bitcoin... whatever they want.
6919  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if the US Govt. buys circulating Bitcoin Supply and $ is backed by $BTC ? on: November 24, 2021, 10:11:21 AM
Just like El Salvador, US could also try and capture the entire BTC circulating supply.
I am not sure where you got that idea from. El Salvador never attempted to purchase the entire circulating supply. How would that even work? The entire supply is not for sale. How do you purchase the coins in my cold wallet and thousands of other private wallets that people have scatter all around the world? The number of bitcoins on exchanges have never been as low as they have in recent months.

We never had "One Currency" through out the world.
And we aren't going to have that with Bitcoin either.

The company of the richest person on earth has more than a billion in Bitcoin. Some people on Wall Street have accumulated Bitcoin.
Who knows what that manipulator owns? Didn't he first say that Tesla didn't sell any of its bitcoin, but later claimed that they only sold 10% to check how much of an affect it would have on the market? More precisely, he wanted to show that it didn't have big consequences.

The thing about Peer to Peer networks is that nobody can do anything to them.
Not directly to the networks. But they can increase taxes on Bitcoin. They can make POW mining illegal. Sweden is already suggesting that to the EU. They can make it illegal to use certain exchanges, etc. There are ways for a country to hurt it, but not to stop it entirely.
6920  Economy / Gambling / Re: 💃 SlotVibe 💃 A FIESTA you can never FORGETTA // VIP Program 🏆 3500+ games ✅ on: November 24, 2021, 09:49:08 AM
If other sites can do, why slovibe cant and force themselves to have mandatory KYC? This new site should learn from the older sites that are also using Curacao license. Requiring KYC even before making deposit is good but the fact is that it is not preferable in this crypto gambling industry. I'm pretty sure that 90% or even more gamblers from this forum will not be interested to play here due to the KYC.
I somewhat agree, but you are forgetting that there are other sites who have similar demands. For example Roobet is one Curacao-licensed casino where you are also required to undergo KYC verification. Many players complained about it, some left, but still there are many who are still playing there. I expect that in the future we will see more of the same no matter that we don't like it.
