6901  Other / Meta / Re: how to delete bitcointalk.org account? on: May 21, 2014, 09:14:02 AM
ho to remove your account from bitcointalk.org.?.......

You can't do that.
You can delete all your posts though. Smiley

Nope. Not possible either. Only the staff is able to delete posts in most boards. Unless you're the creator of a post you won't be able to delete replies either.

But he could still lock and edit all his threads.
6902  Economy / Services / Re: In Need of Dev on: May 21, 2014, 07:29:37 AM
You should take a look at the services board here   Smiley

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0

Also welcome to the forums.

Edit: Seems like Blitz hookes this thread into the services section.
6903  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin.com down wtf? on: May 21, 2014, 06:42:24 AM
The original site is bitcoin.org, and it is up at the moment

Yup. That's true. I think that the .com one was also managed by MtGox
6904  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: GHASH.IO vs ELIGIUS.ST on: May 21, 2014, 06:35:08 AM
Any one have experience in mmpool.org ?

Their pool hashn't found a block for quite some time now because of their low hashrate.
6905  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: GHASH.IO vs ELIGIUS.ST on: May 21, 2014, 06:17:43 AM
ghash.io takes full advantage of merged mining and to me that's why many people prefer it. As well with the 0% fee.

At least for me, ghash.io and eligius in terms of merged mining are equal: yes ghash has the extra of ixc and dev, but them aren't worth a f**k

Well yeah, dvc is in all time lows but ixcoin is doing fine and from what I see the developers are sorta active too.

6907  Local / Ελληνικά (Greek) / Re: "E-SHOP.GR" εάν δέχεται πληρωμές σε Bitcoin on: May 21, 2014, 05:28:39 AM
6908  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptsy down? on: May 21, 2014, 12:07:21 AM
nothing on cryptsy twitter feed which I always find unforgiveable

It was giving me an internal server error for about 10 minutes today. That was unexpected but everything seemed to be working as a charm afterwards.
6909  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitcoin-trader.biz on: May 20, 2014, 10:11:23 PM
This is a long post. Can you please tl;dr it for us? How is this relevant to the discussion, is the big thing to answer.

I guess that this goes to show people how hard it would be if the opperator of the sceme tries to run away with the founds. If even all legal procedures are run flawlessly it's still almost imposible to have a full refound and It'll take years. But that probably does not apply for a ponzi operating with crypto currencies. There is no law in existance to protect you if you put your bitcoin in there! It's a risk not worth taking.

nrd525, Thank you for making this post. I hope that people will listen to our warning while it's still early and stop putting money in a sceme that is doomed to fail.

Loving JPCDice.com, a great way to waste some time. Thanks for sharing the rain with us.  Grin

It's a very nice site indeed! Smiley Plus the devs are really active in the chat and actively making improvements.
6912  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Jackpotcoin giveaway 1000 per person in jpcdice on: May 20, 2014, 09:16:40 PM
It has been raining all day in jackpotcoin dice and I felt like sharing some of the coins I got for fun.  Cheesy Cheesy

First 20 people get 1000 coins each, after that it'll be 500

http://www.reddit.com/r/JackpotCoin/comments/262bbt/jpcdicecom_giveaway_post_your_username_and_uid/

So here's how this would go:

1. get in http://jpcdice.com/
2. create an account (top left botton)
3. post your username with your user id in the reddit post I linked on top*
4. get the coins

*step 3 is to prevent people claiming coins multiple times.

Do not post a JPC address or username here. Giveaways are not allowed to be done here. Use this thread to have a conversation about the giveaway the coin or the website only.

6915  Other / Meta / Re: My appeal to the mods to unban/ reduce the ban time period of the user 'hensi'. on: May 20, 2014, 05:12:34 PM
Mods believe that people should considere themselves lucky for not getting a permaban. Guess you'll just have to roll with it. Maybe do something else more productive other than posting for those 2 weeks? Freelance writting also pays out. Smiley
6916  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 20, 2014, 05:00:39 PM
holy shit are you guys seeing this? I really think this is the start of the next explosive growth phase. $4,000 by July?

If you haven't bought back in yet... panic!

I can't really say that I'm impressed by the $480 What's the most to me is the volume though.

Besides that, to me there's nothing to make optimistic about the future of the price. It could be in the ~450 rage until we hear some good news again. To me it's more likely that the opposite would happen.
6917  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 2 Cash - UK on: May 20, 2014, 04:28:05 PM
Both bitbargain and localbitcoins are great.

I've used localbitcoin in the past, their website is really good and has a perfect escrow system. They also provide a decent escrow for person to person purchases.

6919  Economy / Economics / Re: Losing private key with tens of thousands of BTC on: May 20, 2014, 03:29:28 PM
I don't think it would even affect the market at all. Over here, https://blockchain.info/address/1CounterpartyXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXUWLpVr

2k bitcoin destroyied for counterparty's IPO. Did it make the market's movement to go up? I don't think so.
6920  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Using Bitcoin to send money back home on: May 20, 2014, 03:11:29 PM
In many third world countries, it's hard for people to have access to monetery services or even the internet.

I was stunned to see how people use bitcoin for transactions in Uganda!
