6901  Economy / Economics / Re: Would bitcoin help teach kids about saving? on: November 02, 2017, 05:14:34 PM
So I have 2 cousins. One of them doesn't save and is a huge spender while the other is a saver and spends only once a year. So would bitcoin be a good way to teach them about saving? Since, mining bitcoin is the only way to make alot of bitcoin, I would use a alt wallet to show them what happens if you spend and don't save. What do you think?
Your a good man that do have concern for your cousins spending habits but telling them on how they gonna spend their money turns out to be personal stuff for them. Its none of your business on how they would make use of their own stuff but somehow trying out to explain isnt really bad at all since you are just concern for their future.Unwise spendings would really result into a bad situation later on.

6903  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is changing the world. on: November 02, 2017, 01:20:27 PM
Bitcoin is changing the way we live.
Bitcoin is changing the way we do business.
Bitcoin is changing the way we travel and save our assets.
Bitcoin and blockchain technology has open new doors for people to do business with one another without the intervention of third parties.

What do you make of this, huh? Share with us what you think. thanks Smiley

Yes, I believe bitcoin is changing the world by changing the way people live and changing their perspectives about money, like what you have mentioned. If bitcoin will be implemented and legalized all over the world, and everyone uses it, then it will change the whole world and it will change the way we communicate about business with other people.

Bitcoin is changing the world through technology and introduces the technology which is very innovative and also give a new way of thinking and development through digital currency. And now i think bitcoin is reducing unemployment and is a way of earning for the people who are looking for a part time job.
It did really make some changes when it comes on unemployment rate which it did really give some opportunity for those people who dont have any jobs. Bitcoin is really a new way payment system which would really benefit on those people who dont really like to transfer money with 3rd party involvement in between. This is why i do like bitcoin.I can transfer funds on  few clicks with just less fees.
6904  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what makes you trust a new altcoin? on: November 02, 2017, 11:59:09 AM
i wonder what makes you trust a new altcoin? what you're looking for in their company page etc...?
What makes me trusted with altcoin is its potential to grow and the purpose of this coin. And of course i consider also the how committed the dev is. You know it is hard to trust altcoin but then again its up to you how you trust every altcoins.
Everyone has his own opinion but I have a very different opinion regarding trusting on some new coin. There is nothing which can help you in trusting some coin and that too trusting that coin which is newly introduced to this world.

You need to wait for quite a reasonable period of time and then you need to see the performance of that coin. Only then you’ll be able to decide whether you should invest in it or not.
Opinion would really be different since people do have different minds on such situation and talking on trusting new altcoin then we do have different indications for us to trust it. Sometimes i do really see the updates of its devs regarding on further developments i would seek out if it do have still plans on future years and do actively make some changes or do inform the community.
6905  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you hold your coins? on: October 31, 2017, 02:54:39 PM
the safer place to hold any coins is on the desktop wallet
just download gere https://nebl.io/wallets
but for faster profit you can hold in exchange, so you can sell the coin in any price with pending order
This post answers it all which desktop wallet on the link given is the best place to store up those coins but somehow hassle or would really put you on delay when theres an selling or buying opportunity on exchanges. This is the advantage but well as op mentioned he do tend to go for long term then the best thing to do is keep on desktop wallet is the best choice.
6906  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Got hacked and robbed. My mistake for keeping coins on exchange on: October 31, 2017, 01:16:09 PM
My coinbase got hacked today. I got a message on my phone saying that my password had changed. I attempted to follow instructions to stop it, but by the time I had, it was too late and the theif emptied out my hot wallet. The only saving grace was that coinbase has vaults which give 48 hour delay. I wish that I would have transferred more coins to the vault as they were protected. Coinbase has some serious vulnerabilities, but whoever the thief was was able to login from my IP and was able to login to my email despite the fact that I had just changed my password. Be careful out there. Cold wallet your coins.

It's never a good idea to store coins on exchange. However I doubt Coinbase has serious vulnerabilities. What happened is that you most likely got infected with a RAT. Its not a problem for the hacker to log in with your IP and your email really. Ways to prevent this is usage of 2FA

I do use 2FA. I need google authenticator every login. I wish it would have been SMS. I'm not sure how this happened. I just wish I would have kept more of them in a vault, or sold my hot wallet contents earlier.
Quiet odd that you didnt activate that sms verification. Ive been using coinbase and this security features ive been using which it do send codes into my mobile phone number  and then an email verification before you would able to log in completely.I suspect theres a RAT on your pc which the hacker did able to know all the credentials needed for accessing your account.
6907  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How can we encourage local businesses to accept BTC? on: October 30, 2017, 07:05:45 AM
I would rather emphasize the uniqueness of using btc vs fiat currency. Well for local businesses, they should know how bitcoin works in real life, It is fast, It decentralized, It is globally accepted and its value continues rising,  Just like my friend encourage me about using btc trigger us to be millionaire someday, then this method might be effective to them.Smiley

It's a good that you'll emphasize the uniqueness of using bitcoin. And you have to firm and strong while explaining that to the businesses because just like these days, there are so many scam websites that can destroy the trust of those businesses and it will affect each and everyone of us so that's really a trial to someone that's going to encourage a local business to accept bitcoin.
its hard to explain what bitcoin is for those who dont know, especially in country which not support bitcoin, most people outside crypto world may treat bitcoin as a pyramid, so i think the first should be the government announce that bitcoin is legal
It's hard to explain it to them if they don't have the willingness to listen what bitcoin is. Well bitcoin has been degraded but those people that are remaining in bitcoin and those local businessmen who are believing to bitcoin will be benefiting to it. And if those people you are talking about bitcoin and not willing to listen, just forget about them and don't push them into bitcoin.
This is actually the hardest part on where you do try to convince those people but yet they do just easily neglect you because they are not interested at all.Its really a frustrating thing but you cant blame them since we do have our own minds regarding on things as long we do already took our part on sharing then it would be just fine.It would really depend if they would accept it or not.If they pass then they did let the opportunity on earning profits in future.
6908  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin can ruin a Country? on: October 28, 2017, 02:24:16 PM
Well, i just thought, if bitcoin become a currency of one Country, maybe it can destroy that country? Think of it, Bitcoins do not have a tax, and tax are used by the government to make that country a good one, without tax, what will be used to spend and make that country a good one?

What do you think?

Well if that ever happens that bitcoin becomes a currency of a country then there will be certain rules over its trading and of course the taxes will be implied according to the earnings . Even the govt. would know about this thing so they will work on this issue before making bitcoin its currency .
But we dont forget on the fact that we cant still be sure if those people who do have bitcoin holdings would really be responsible enough to pay up their taxes and also not all people would really make use of those trading local sites which tax would be impose.Come to think off on those transactions outside of those area? People wont really bother at all and this is really the disadvantage.
6909  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Any genuine HYIP programs? on: October 26, 2017, 12:44:39 PM
Hi does anyone know of any genuine HYIP programs for bitcoin ? i know of laser.online but im quite anxious of their return as they state they give 12% daily return.
Genuine hyip programs? There none and all of them are scam this is why dont bother to join up these investments because it will just really waste up your precious bitcoin.12% daily is really a too good to be true returns in short period of time are total scam.Dont be greedy and easy money doesnt exist on this bitcoin world.
6910  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Long Term BTC Investment Is No More on: October 24, 2017, 08:43:21 PM
With bitcoin value increasing to new heights every day or week, is long term investment of bitcoin in alts no more? Because with the increase of value in bitcoin, all alts suffer and their value in bitcoin decreases even if they are stable enough to keep their value in dollar sustained.

So all one can earn from such long term trade is a loss in bitcoin.

So, is short term trading alts the only option or even that is too risky for now and holding could be the only option.

And for buying alts, one should use dollar instead of bitcoin.

The main reason why altcoins can not increase its price is that people are only focusing their mind and efforts in bitcoin and its fork. I have a strong feeling that in their heart, they still want to buy altcoin but unfortunately, they want to receive free bitcoin gold for free money. Well, we can not stop them from doing that. there are many altcoins which have the potential in the future. Keep believe in cryptocurrencies and everything will be fine
Focus and interest of people would really be bigger on bitcoin itself compared on altcoin. This is why we do really always see the supremacy of bitcoin among alts which we would normally see. Long term investment on bitcoin is somehow senseless already because we cant already expect for x2 x3 x4 easily considering on its price is already high and reaching even on x2 would really be hard as of now thats why people do really tend to go on alts.
6911  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is BTG price at 425$ worth the wait? on: October 24, 2017, 08:16:23 PM
SO we all tried HODLing the BTC with the expectation of recieving BTG.  Now we see that the BTC price has gone a bit low in the last two days  (from the highest it had reached) ,however the price of BTG has made up for this loss.SO I wanna ask most of you, if you feel satisfied with what ever happened?
Why wont satisfied? As long you dont put money on buying it then theres nothing to worry about.I do gain bitcoin gold freely which any price range would really be just okay for me since its free money after all and i dont tend to reinvest those money or making buyback on it because i do strongly believe this coin will surely dump sooner or later.Dont want to be included into those investors which would definitely suffer negative floating. Wink
6912  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: October 24, 2017, 07:32:00 PM
Bitcoin won't be replaced by any other cryptocurrency because there is not even a single cryptocurrency which has even 1/3 adoption and acceptance like Bitcoin and this is biggest hurdle or obstacle for them to give competition to Bitcoin. There were lot of cryptocurrencies coming out claiming to replace Bitcoin but people don't even remember their names. Bitcoin has a more stable and brighter future.
I also do not think that it will be every possible to replace bitcoin by any other crypto currency, I do not think that there is any other such currency which have the potential to compact with bitcoin. In fact the users of bitcoin are increasing from time to time and which is making bitcoin more stronger, I think bitcoin has a very bright future.
In my opinion, Bitcoin is a temporary hot trend recently. There are many people become the investor of Bitcoin because they have see its price has increased fastly and a lot of value. You must to know it just makes Bitcoin become a speculative place and the government will have a reason ban this market like the ICO market.
This is why it do bring really a buzz specially on the government ears since bitcoin do really becoming popular not only on having many investor or user on it but because on the things that it is capable to do which would really be against on their supremacy thats why they do really tend to banned or block it.
Being replaced by other coin would be possible but it would surely takes time if we do really base on the interest of people as of now into bitcoin.
6913  Economy / Economics / Re: When is the right time to buy bitcoin ? on: October 24, 2017, 03:57:13 PM
After the recent news re. BTC China and regulators crackdown on cryptocurrency trading, we all know which direction bitcoin and alt coins are currently heading. I wish to buy Bitcoin and Altcoin when they hit the floor, but i am unsure of when the right time is to enter?

Actually, buying bitcoin never really need to wait for the price to go down or as what you said, hit the floor. Butcoin will continue to increase price and the earlier you buy, the better. What I think is that, bitcoin is not gonna decrease its price like the way we wanted, and that is because of its investors ans users.
Price might not go on deep decrease but rather there would really be times on which crypto traders specially to those who are trading actively will always find the best spot or the lowest low to buy bitcoins again since this would really be a crucial thing for them to make money once the price would rise up again on the upcoming days or months. It would really depend but talking for long term then buying anytime would always be good.
6914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Price-Will it jump up after the BTC Fork? on: October 23, 2017, 03:49:58 PM
Do you guys think the price of ETH Will rise significantly once the investors from BTC / BTC Gold sell off? What about the other alt coins? Which one do you think will rise the most as a function of the BTC Gold users selling out of BTC?

There would be no fix answer on this one since all of people do really have different altcoin holdings which they would definitely go back once they do secure out their free coins an exchange it to bitcoin. For eth i cant say too much since this fork event doesnt a significant thing that will affect its price majorly on ETH.
Lets wait patiently on the possible things that would happen after the fork.
6915  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - time to buy or sell? on: October 23, 2017, 03:10:50 PM
With Bitcoin falling so much this week/month, do you think it's a great opportunity to buy in or time to cash out?

Just remember these cardinal rules:

1) Buy when prices are low and if you have real money to back you up in case of losses.
2) Sell when prices are either high or low. This highly depends on your business strategy. But as for the general rule, sell when the price is high because it is when you will make money. Nonetheless, you run the risk of losing big when you sell something only to find out the price will increase substantially later.

At the end of the day, it all depends on you since in Bitcoins, you take hold of your money.
It would really just depend on the urgency on need of money for sure which you would decide up if you would go for active trading or just simply let it be since you are going for long term. For now in the price of bitcoin i would say this is they best time to sell out since the price are on its peak for sure.Profit taking will most likely to happen after the fork.
6916  Economy / Economics / Re: Electronic Money vs. Physical Money on: October 22, 2017, 02:47:04 PM
Hi guys, I just want to know your views and opinion about the difference in Electronic Money (Bitcoin and others) and the Physical Money. Many people now a days are still confuse about the existence of the Bitcoin and how it differ from our Physical Money that we are using to buy necessity. I hope we could share and learn from each other.  Wink Smiley
From the word itself you can differentiate them on just using common sense but the thing you do say about people who are confused or even dont know on the existence of crpyto then its a missed opportunity for them since we do really know on the actual usage of bitcoin but yet it cant really be still accepted on any parts of the world and can directly buy goods from it.
6917  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to do when prices are falling on: October 22, 2017, 01:57:28 PM
If you think they will continue to fall then sell and buy when you think the bottom is reached, if you think it's already close to the bottom then hold and wait for the recovery.
I would like to ask on how you do see the bottom? Even doing on technical analysis this thing is the hardest thing when we are checking on price movements. Seeing price decrease would really give us the indication to be ready to purchase on bottom price but yet its hard to determined. In my trading career i do seldom hit up good chances.
6918  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will banks start a war against bitcoin on: October 22, 2017, 01:18:24 PM
I know we are still at a start of cryptocurrencies, but bitcoin is growing with lightning speed right now and some banks already see it as a potential threat.
There has been a lot of accusations form banks, that bitcoin is perfect for money laundering and is used for supporting crime.
I think they can do a lot of harm to bitcoin market and they will eventually start with harsh campaign against it.
Do you think it will happen and when?
Banks have realized that he had lost this battle and this they begin to independently implement the blockchain in their systems.
I dont think so and they dont really make war on bitcoin but yet they are really against on it but they didnt make any realizations since they can do anything that they want and they can really adopt or make use of blockchain technology which they would really apply for their service which is good. Bank and Bitcoin are on separate ways which we can really see advantages and disadvantages of both things.
6919  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price on: October 21, 2017, 06:21:18 PM
Reason of todays pump is hardfork. Just wait 5 days after that you can see btc price which has stability.

Mate, I still think that bitcoin will not dive dip much after the fork this month end. The point about bitcoin is that its has started making name and many people are beginning to reckon with it, investors are coming in large number, some countries are beginning to be positive about it. So all these points are to the favour of bitcoin. Don't be surprised that after the fork, the price will skyrocket , is possible.
This is actually true but we cant really be sure regarding on the price of bitcoin before or after the fork.We did able to break the 6k barrier and now it would really tend to rise up even more but i do really have doubts always that price bubble will pop out again and the correction will surely happen later on which i do keep an eye on the possible signals for me to sell out to secure profits on these peak prices.
6920  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Wish I never bought altcoins on: October 21, 2017, 05:12:56 PM
Would have been much better off just leaving everything in bitcoin. Altcoins suck.

I tell you, bro. It is all about timing. There are so many people here who got rich or even became millionaires because of altcoins. No need to put the blame to altcoins altogether. Are you mad because they are dipping in price? It is very normal. No need to worry. They will get back to their All Time High again and then continue to climb higher.
This is actually true on which it all really depends on timing and yet we do really get use to the movement or volatileness of cryptocurrencies which there would really be some days that price will dip and there not really need to curse or blame but yet we do already know the risk in the first time we do invest that we would really possible to lose up money. Its just like that.We do earn we do lose but yet we do really need to move on.
