6921  Economy / Economics / Re: 99% of the people still think that fiat money are better than crypto on: November 14, 2017, 09:00:29 PM
I was talking with a friend of mine about cryptocurrencies and he said:
"Cryptocurrencies are anonymous?Nothing on the internet is anonymous.Having a bunch of dollars or euro in the pocket is the most anonymous way to store money. Grin"
Damn, now i think that he is right and fiat money are still way more convenient ,despite all the inflation, banks monopoly and control. From my personal experiense 99% of the people refuse to believe in bitcoin and refuse to adopt it in their daily life.Any opinions?
Well i went, at some point, to a local bank and i asked them if they have any financial products for cryptocurrency (accounts, plastic and so on) and the reaction was „cute” like we dont have, won't have and dont want this kin of thing in our banks. Very elocvent.
Why'd you ask? For sure they would really say such thing knowing that banks are really against on bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies. They are aware the feature and the capabalities of it that's why they wont really bother to accept or adopt it. People will normally believe on fiat money no matter what even on us bitcoin holders will really always seek up or trust to local fiat than on it itself for sure.
6922  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you USE your BTC? on: November 14, 2017, 07:17:36 PM
It's a risk in my opinion to hold bitcoin as this price , only if you are a trader or a speculative guy. Instead keep your cash to rebuy or if you want to enter now is a good price for a quick profit. Also you can use your bitcoin on a few good ICOS , like GIZER.

Risk is every where, risk were there when people even bought BTC for $600, but now you see what it turned to.
I personally do use my Bitcoins, because beside an asset I consider itself a valuable currency and transaction medium. Helped me to send money easily across borders for products and online services.
People do really have different ways on how they would use their bitcoins either for investment or for sole online transactions but I do strongly believe that people do really make it as an investment because of its capability and the possibility on making profits specially for long term. I do make use of my bitcoin by loading up my phone and do exchange it actively into my own local fiat money.
6923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin is down, all alts are up? on: November 14, 2017, 03:04:26 PM
Friends, I am curious, now, when Bitcoin is down, does it mean that all altcoins will grow? On November, 12 we saw the greatest jump of Bitcoin Cash. Is there a possibility the same will happen with other alts?
Usually that is the case, when one goes down the other goes up! Altcoins will eventually go up, especially with all this clash between BTC and BHC. BHC is getting pumped. Everyone see's the value of it rising in the past few days and everyone believes its on a good road but if we wait a little longer you will see the outcome of the dump. When the dumps happens thats when miners leave it. Altcoins will rise in value after this!
Anything is possible on this trading world on which every coin does really have a chance to pump but would really depend if there would be a plan for the community to pump such thing or any individuals that do have the power to pump such coin like whales or huge investors. Bitcoin and altcoin doesn't mean that they do have correlated prices anytime knowing that there are some instances on where its price being affected.
6924  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best exchanger to convert tokens to ethereum on: November 13, 2017, 03:53:46 PM
I am just a newbie when it comes to joining ICO campaigns and we all know that we earn tokens by joining such. I have read a few discussions about converting tokens to ethereum and a lot says that we need to exchange it but before that, ethereum balance is required.

My question is what are good sites that will provide me smooth exchanging? How much eth balance is required? How long will it take to convert my tokens to eth? And if you are kind enough, I appreciate detailed steps on how to convert tokens to eth. Thank you!
Come to think off that most bounty campaigns now are using or making erc20 based tokens which means it would commonly go to those exchangers who do have the most erc20 tokens been trade off or the common place on where it do being listed easily which is on Etherdelta and regarding on the ETH balance you would really need that come to think off that every transaction do really need a gas to push such transfer.
6925  Economy / Economics / Re: volatility and transaction fees... on: November 13, 2017, 03:20:55 PM
Most institutional banks make it easy for you to understand because they want you to become part of their customer database. Not because you are important for them but because your money, even though the amount is little, will be added to their global "trade and play" database.

So yes, of course, with bitcoin it is more complicated. You do not have btc ATM delivering you money you can use to buy things in your everyday life (unless you are very lucky). You do not have a clear and comprehensive guide of "how to deal with bitcoin".

Still, through the blockchain, you get security. More than any bank can offer I assume. And regarding transactin fees, actually your bank may hide them from your view but they still exist. Your bank is not a charity, they make money out of you. With your saved money but also with your current account. You pay fees, you pay because you use a dedicated website, you pay a credit card... All these are fake fees. I mean it cost nothing to the bank but they charge you anyway.

So yeah, harder with bitcoin. More expensive? I don't think so!
It seems to me that bitcoin is still too poorly developed to compete with the banks. We can't buy goods with bitcoins with the same ease as we do with credit cards. The cost of banking transaction 20,000 times cheaper than transactions in bitcoin. Therefore, bitcoin is absolutely not suited right now for everyday use.
If we do see the current situation of bitcoin regarding price volatility and on its transaction time and fees then would really able to differentiate it with our traditional payment system using credit cards or any other means which we can really tell the differences on each side and we would really still prefer the old ways because we can already make it use conveniently without any hassle and talking about the fees I guess it is already lower compared to the amount which a certain bitcoin transaction do require.
6926  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Day trade bitcoins on: November 10, 2017, 08:41:45 AM
Does anyone on here day trade and if so do you have a strategy?  I admit I'm extremely tempted at times to day trade when i see swings of 50-100 within a very short time.
Im sure there are swing traders out there but i would say that this would really be a difficult one even myself do fail on doing swing trades also on bitcoin alone. Ive been applying all the things i have learned on stocks and forex trading but doesnt seems to work here on bitcoin or even on altcoins too. Strategy would really be hard to explain in words which is only possible if someone do teach you on some video or on personal.
6927  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Loss almost 40%, should stop trading or not ? on: November 09, 2017, 01:22:31 PM
Trading with btc - eth, I buy too high ( 0,082 ) and today I sell all on 0,077. Before that trade btc - ripple ( xrp ), make mistake buy 0,0002150 so today I sell with price 0,0001200. I decide to sell all because my patience is finish. I have loss almost 40% from my money, my question is simple ................. stop or continue?

No you should not stop trading, that would be the worst decision that you will make. How would you regain those 40% loss if you quit trading, you need to win back that money. Losing momey is just a part of being a trader, now you have learned some lessons sp you would not do it again next time. Trading gives a lot of profit it just needs a lot of patience in holding some coins because not all coins are successful especially those coins that are not that famous. But as time goes by the value of it will rise. So in order to get that money back just continue trading
This is correct which losing money is always been part of trading specially when we are still new on this field. We do commit mistakes since we do easily panic when we saw price decrease and as being adviced we should not give up to early because theres always a lesson on each mistake we do made just be sure that you would really do your best not to commit those mistakes again and it will really benefit you on your future trades.
6928  Economy / Economics / Re: What is a good amount of BTC to Buy? on: November 09, 2017, 11:59:33 AM
What is a good amount of Bitcoin to buy for first time buyers new to the crypto market? What kind of return can you expect to see within a week?
I think there's no such thing as good amount of value to buy and invest. Any amount of investment in Bicoin will yield to profit as it is getting more expensive each day that will make it more profitable to its users andd investment. But also, it is common that if your investment will be big, the p4ofit you are about to earn will also be huge. So th3 bigger the better.
The bigger the better, yes it is but come to think off on the risk involve on bitcoin too which we do know that bitcoin is volatile and buying carelessly on a certain high price will really possibly make us lose money when the price tends to correct but yet this thing shouldn't be mind if you are aiming for long term with bitcoin.Any amounts would do as long that money is just really intended on investing not on the money you do allocate for your daily living.
6929  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Too late to get involved into Bitcoin? on: November 09, 2017, 08:48:34 AM
Hey everyone
I was mining just for fun when in 2013/14 mining with a gpu was still viable. Since that day im wondering if it is too late to get involved in bitcoin even though I stopped thinking about it for a few years since I was about 15 years old with different things on my mind. Just recently I began wondering again: Is it too late to get involved in bitcoin? After the price blew up in 2014 I asked me the same thing and thought the hype is over and I am just too late. Even if bitcoin is a bubble and each bitcoin is overvalued who can safely tell when the bubble is going to pop if it ever will? I just think this is an awesome project with an equally awesome community despite the weird things in the altcoin section that tend to become more and more popular due to "weird" people picking up on the bitcoin hype caused by media and the increased internet awareness. Im talking about projects like "bigboobscoin" which is topped by some emojis in the title. Since I came along this project I want to own one of the 21M bitcoins to ever be created. In addition bitcoin has something magical to it which I cant put in words but the fact that satoshi never got identified gives me this feeling of a revolution of currency with the right intension. He never pulled out his round about 1 million btc. Well who knows maybe Satoshi is dead by now and his btc will never be touched. Bitcoin came out of the mind of a genious and is so much more worth than only "going to the moon".

Im just wondering if bitcoin and its community still got the same spirit or have the weird people and rich investors overtaken to ruin this project by treating it like a pump and dump shitcoin without a soul?
I hope my english is good enough to make you understand my thoughts and feelings.

Have a nice day.

Bitcoin, and digital currency as a concept, is still very young. Created just five years ago, it's still trying to find its feet and its price is suffering rather wild volatility.
5 years ago? You are wrong buddy yet bitcoin is already 8 years as of now when you do tried up to read its first transaction been made. For now talking on too late on getting involved into bitcoin. Its never been to late even though the price had risen this heights but not a real blockage for us to engage on it. Yet we are really still young and if we do see the community support we  can say that this would really able to last longer.
6930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Who is buying up all the cheap alt coins now ? on: November 08, 2017, 07:04:04 PM
I personally believe this is a great time to buy good alt coins. Price is way down as market has shifted to buying BTC. Some more than 50%.

What percentage of your crypto is in alts vs BTC ?

As of this moment, I no longer have BTC (except for some "crumbs" scattered in various exchanges).  I used it all to buy cheap alts.  Will cash out some after they rebound and hold some BTC then.

It is my chosen strategy vs the free Segwit2X coin.  Both will work but I believe this one will yield higher return.  Hope I am not mistaken.

Quoting myself...LOL

I guess I made the right call...portfolio is up 33% since this morning. Shocked
33% gain on your portfolio isnt really bad at all since we did only need to wait for just few weeks to see our investment grow. For those people did able to buy cheap altcoin are now on profits or greens but yet would really depend on which coins did they purchase and also we should brace ourselves on possible pumps on alts since segwit fork is being canceled already.
6931  Economy / Economics / Re: Would a global disaster increase or decrease the Bitcoin value ? on: November 08, 2017, 06:53:24 PM
global disaster mean this is happened to almost all of the countries in the world and i think yes possibly it will decrease the value of cryptocurrency because when global disaster happened most of people only concern how to save their own life without care for their wealth and if it is so then bitcoin will being worthless and lack of interest also the damage effect is there's no internet connections which being the main thing to use bitcoin

When we do talk global disaster then its normal to think off that internet would really be mainly affected and which would really be the main reason where bitcoin cant be transact because we do know if theres no internet then there would be to transactions which would lead up on stable price or would really decline because it would really become worthless.
6932  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is changing the world. on: November 06, 2017, 02:41:20 PM
indeed, bitcoin has now become a weighty and important part of life and is rapidly moving forward and upward...maybe someday it will become a part of everyone's life

Its possible but not a guaranteed one because we dont really know on what would happen in the future but somehow we can see on bitcoins progress that it does really give the opportunity on making money and would give us financial dependence and earnings which would really be more than on our usual day stable job. Bitcoin is really a good new way payment system which is really beneficial on some aspects.
6933  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mining with mobile device on: November 03, 2017, 02:48:04 PM
Is mining with mobile device a profitable venture today? I read a bit about this and learned that Monero maybe worth mining. then there's Electroneum as well. I wanted to know from other's experience.

One might ask why spend on buying phones. Instead get a PC. Thing is I have few old phones that I can't sell, I want to see possibility of getting some cost back before giving/throwing them away
Mining altcoins in mobile phone? its not possible as of today because it will surely make your mobile phone be on fire since they are not  designed for the purpose of mining and there is an prescribed mining equipment on that one and we shouldnt really bother at all on mining on mobile phones because its not profitable and you are really just wasting up your time.Better to save up money to buy graphics card and better to mine altcoins.
6934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Can we trust Telegram Signal channel..? on: November 02, 2017, 05:46:52 PM
Chances are, prices are rising just because those "signal channels" are telling their members to buy, rather than actually predicting a rise in price. Such groups aren't made to help people, but to profit from the people. They buy the coins before telling their members to buy, hence raising the price.

It's always best to do your own research and invest using your own judgement.
This is actually the usual stuff and for OP you are just being used by those people who did tell on what you should do. Their might be free but the risk on following their signals is there. The reason why you do lose? because you did actually bought a certain coin on a peak price which those people who are involve on that group would decide to dump their coins once they hit up a particular price range.
6935  Economy / Economics / Re: Would bitcoin help teach kids about saving? on: November 02, 2017, 05:14:34 PM
So I have 2 cousins. One of them doesn't save and is a huge spender while the other is a saver and spends only once a year. So would bitcoin be a good way to teach them about saving? Since, mining bitcoin is the only way to make alot of bitcoin, I would use a alt wallet to show them what happens if you spend and don't save. What do you think?
Your a good man that do have concern for your cousins spending habits but telling them on how they gonna spend their money turns out to be personal stuff for them. Its none of your business on how they would make use of their own stuff but somehow trying out to explain isnt really bad at all since you are just concern for their future.Unwise spendings would really result into a bad situation later on.

6937  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is changing the world. on: November 02, 2017, 01:20:27 PM
Bitcoin is changing the way we live.
Bitcoin is changing the way we do business.
Bitcoin is changing the way we travel and save our assets.
Bitcoin and blockchain technology has open new doors for people to do business with one another without the intervention of third parties.

What do you make of this, huh? Share with us what you think. thanks Smiley

Yes, I believe bitcoin is changing the world by changing the way people live and changing their perspectives about money, like what you have mentioned. If bitcoin will be implemented and legalized all over the world, and everyone uses it, then it will change the whole world and it will change the way we communicate about business with other people.

Bitcoin is changing the world through technology and introduces the technology which is very innovative and also give a new way of thinking and development through digital currency. And now i think bitcoin is reducing unemployment and is a way of earning for the people who are looking for a part time job.
It did really make some changes when it comes on unemployment rate which it did really give some opportunity for those people who dont have any jobs. Bitcoin is really a new way payment system which would really benefit on those people who dont really like to transfer money with 3rd party involvement in between. This is why i do like bitcoin.I can transfer funds on  few clicks with just less fees.
6938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what makes you trust a new altcoin? on: November 02, 2017, 11:59:09 AM
i wonder what makes you trust a new altcoin? what you're looking for in their company page etc...?
What makes me trusted with altcoin is its potential to grow and the purpose of this coin. And of course i consider also the how committed the dev is. You know it is hard to trust altcoin but then again its up to you how you trust every altcoins.
Everyone has his own opinion but I have a very different opinion regarding trusting on some new coin. There is nothing which can help you in trusting some coin and that too trusting that coin which is newly introduced to this world.

You need to wait for quite a reasonable period of time and then you need to see the performance of that coin. Only then you’ll be able to decide whether you should invest in it or not.
Opinion would really be different since people do have different minds on such situation and talking on trusting new altcoin then we do have different indications for us to trust it. Sometimes i do really see the updates of its devs regarding on further developments i would seek out if it do have still plans on future years and do actively make some changes or do inform the community.
6939  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you hold your coins? on: October 31, 2017, 02:54:39 PM
the safer place to hold any coins is on the desktop wallet
just download gere https://nebl.io/wallets
but for faster profit you can hold in exchange, so you can sell the coin in any price with pending order
This post answers it all which desktop wallet on the link given is the best place to store up those coins but somehow hassle or would really put you on delay when theres an selling or buying opportunity on exchanges. This is the advantage but well as op mentioned he do tend to go for long term then the best thing to do is keep on desktop wallet is the best choice.
6940  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Got hacked and robbed. My mistake for keeping coins on exchange on: October 31, 2017, 01:16:09 PM
My coinbase got hacked today. I got a message on my phone saying that my password had changed. I attempted to follow instructions to stop it, but by the time I had, it was too late and the theif emptied out my hot wallet. The only saving grace was that coinbase has vaults which give 48 hour delay. I wish that I would have transferred more coins to the vault as they were protected. Coinbase has some serious vulnerabilities, but whoever the thief was was able to login from my IP and was able to login to my email despite the fact that I had just changed my password. Be careful out there. Cold wallet your coins.

It's never a good idea to store coins on exchange. However I doubt Coinbase has serious vulnerabilities. What happened is that you most likely got infected with a RAT. Its not a problem for the hacker to log in with your IP and your email really. Ways to prevent this is usage of 2FA

I do use 2FA. I need google authenticator every login. I wish it would have been SMS. I'm not sure how this happened. I just wish I would have kept more of them in a vault, or sold my hot wallet contents earlier.
Quiet odd that you didnt activate that sms verification. Ive been using coinbase and this security features ive been using which it do send codes into my mobile phone number  and then an email verification before you would able to log in completely.I suspect theres a RAT on your pc which the hacker did able to know all the credentials needed for accessing your account.
