6941  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Pagkonti ng bilang ng mga active sa ating Local on: February 14, 2020, 11:39:30 AM
It's been a while since I last posted here. Im active here in Local, but this past few days Im only reading some topics and like others have mentioned. This isnt about replying on thread to be considered active here. Most of my post is on other sections for now (due to sig requirement). But I'm still reading different post here. Also I will post like If Im interested on the topic or the post gain my attention.

We have different opinion regarding the decrease of the users who posted here (not necessary means inactive). Most of the comments mentioned and reasons is the ending of Yobit Campaign which resulted to low activity here. That's not true, there are still some who are working on posting and participating here like OP. Though, I can say that they are really limited to few.

So you can see why B&H gets way more attention since not many can spot the less-obvious sub-subforums

Its not an issue IMO. Even though, Scam accusation thread is just a sub-board, above newbie level users already know its existence it's just a few scroll down and you can noticed it or maybe they just really forget.  Grin

Report threads to moderator, write in comment "wrong board, please move thread to scam accusation" or something similar and mods will move threads to scam board.

I think this is the best way to help them and be reminded that the topic should be move on SA. Let's help mod by doing so to make the use of that board relevant. BH should have room for more topics which indeed needed most.
6944  Other / Meta / Re: Expose scam site in Beginner & Help board? on: February 13, 2020, 10:40:33 AM
Indeed got a point dude. Ive also noticed it already for few days. Exposing scam sites or any source of media is also helpful to newbies and also to some members as information like this can warn us just in case we encounter it. But I think the BH section has been its new hang out of posts instead of the appropriate section.. Maybe we could start by moving off topic related to scam there in Scam Accusation Board.

Scam accusation board is for exposing scammers when users got scammed and lost their money but people here exposing scam before anyone get caught for this attack is just like a warning so I guess there is difference between posting scams and warning fake which are potential scams in the trend.

There is a difference indeed but IMO, much better if we still put it there since that section is more appropriate even though its a warning or already happened scam activity. Anyway, that's only my opinion.
6945  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Traders be careful on: February 13, 2020, 10:15:08 AM

I believe you don't know how desperate people are when it comes to money making, many don't want to work hard but they aim to achieve big things, do you know that some rely on Charts? and some relies on Experts Prediction? because I've seen such people, they exists

Yes and most of them are those who lost money in the process. It takes time to study and become an expert trader but trial and error is a must for you to understand how to earn money by trading.

Or people should probably just use signals from traders who are consistently right. Many of those groups are not worth risking ones hard-earned money.

Signals arent always accurate and we knew that ever since. If you like to rely on someone's caliber then those guys should be efficient enough to provide a good result. I am following a trading group, they don't divulge specific answers on where to the market will dump or pump but from how I can see they do it. Clearly I followed a right group cause some hints point me on the right direction. Can't share the group its confidential.
6946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is easier, stop when you are winning or stop when you are losing? on: February 13, 2020, 07:33:41 AM
That's a hard scenario actually. But I think I might be able to control if I have my target winnings already.
There are people who just play for fun while there are also people who took it as a career, so you should know where you belong.
Took it as a career? Maybe those poker experts can be considered with this but still its a risky job if I were to ask. I'm maybe on the side where entertainment and small gains can both coexisted. Gambling is naturally addictive but OPs question is about control, winning or losing the funds should be set for a halt or continue. I am more into stopping than continuing even though Im winning. I'm a nervous kid anyway. Low to middle risk taker.
6947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among us here has been addicted but successfully cured addiction? on: February 13, 2020, 07:23:00 AM
To be honest that would be hard to prevent especially if the person is really hooked already.
I read that there are people who are addicted in gambling but they are successfully cured from addiction.
I'm thinking they resorted to a more reliable option such as rehabilitation or confining themselves away from a gambling site or place. It's more like a disorder rather than a disease cause the person its not actually sick but just being caught with his habit.
I think I got rid of the addiction and I can control now the urge to play gambling. I also set a limitation on myself on playing.
That's the best prevention before addiction eat you. Control and limitation the only one who could more likely to help out you is yourself but the abovementioned ideas could also help.
6948  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Traders be careful on: February 13, 2020, 07:18:18 AM
But i am shocked after the little bull run that pushed up bitcoin, etherum anf other token prices, people are starting to offer signal services, ttadr signals etc

No werent on bull run phase yet. This is simply a boost from all over investors and traders who are looking forward for a healthy market. Bull run is something very huge and lots of money will be involved due to demand of different coins and tokens.

Signal? You mean a group where people given certain clue or hint to buy or sell? That's not actually new and even for altcoins there are lots of groups like these. Anyway your advice is good but you cant force other to rely on charts and normal basis due to lack of knowledge.
6949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Creepts: Very first dApp of Cartesi Project[Discussion thread] on: February 13, 2020, 05:47:18 AM

As you all know Cartesi a newly launch project has been streaming the crypto space with their first ever dApp game called Creepts. I was there when I first tried out their tower defense dApp and to tell you this is quite an addictive game. As the article explained, this blockchain related game will be improved over time and incorporate blockchain into it.

How this work?

If youre familiar with tower defense game, this is the concept that they pick. You just need to put some defense on the blocks located on the game map. You simply need to avoid those monsters that passing on the way by stacking up different weapons and strategy defense on it. The trick here is always upgrade the weapons of your defense troop to have a stronger attack force. There will be continuous round per spawn of mobs and in each round they are getting stronger. You have a 20life game points for playing the game that you need to avoid reaching zero cause it means game over. To be honest, in the end it become so hard as the mobs are too strong that my troops can't stop them. My highest score is 600k but this is only 600k plus.

Creepts Contest

I dont know if youre aware that they have recent contest for this game involving three maps of different set up. I did play on the first two maps and I had fun. The contest held for few days for all users and its quite hard to gain high score due to the game's hardship. Lucky for those who submit their game log and win the contest. Unfortunately only high scores in each maps will be recorded as winners and will receives ctsi tokens worth $500. Congrats to those who tapped the high scores. Indeed that is a fair and fun game to be able to bag some free tokens from a dApp game.

They release an update of this first blockchain dApp of Cartesi and to tell you this is a good chance to explore and play this game as they continue to improve it.

Check out this update

6951  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The worst part about using cryptocurrencies, Newbies should be more careful. on: February 13, 2020, 02:30:47 AM
Attempt to get my wallet back proof abortive, at a time, my system was compromised and I paid heavily with my Bitcoin.
What wallet have you stuck up your bitcoins? It seems that you also fall on your own mistake. But that's alright and I'm pretty sure already learned from it.
(so many abandoned accounts may start to wake up soon).
This is already happening. I noticed our Local board after the Yobit campaign ended becomes a ghost town leaving only real users and commoners there. Then after the market started to grow slowly, and now btc is above 10k. New names and users become active. Just hoping they could be active this time and not just a joiners on freedrops and campaigns.

The worst part of using crypto is the choices of what you have to use it on. The lack of legitimate games and services after more than a decade of development is shockingly disappointing.
So far my usage for crypto still benefiting me in my work and life.  Is that so? still lack some development maybe on bitcoin part but some altcoin started to gain traction and innovative method for real use cases.
6952  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Fake Chainlink airdrop. they will steal your wallet's private key. on: February 13, 2020, 02:14:45 AM
Also, do not click on unsolicited links, download apps or grant certain permissions to some apps on your device.

This is the case where mostly fell on this scheme. Many of my friends got compromise cause of too much joining on airdrop and they got hacked because of the app they downloaded. Tsk, greedyness will be the reason of their downfall sometime.

But sometimes people falls unconsciously due to greedy nature. Usually people become more greedy when they see there is free money but they don't know nothing is free on the world.

Free money is very tempting indeed but I can't agree that there is nothing free on this world. There still some who really gave away some free tokens or cryptocurrency such as bitcoin  for simple task like retweeting. But airdrops associated with clicked link task should be the one they should avoid like what's OPs topic. Also Private key is a common sense that should not be divulge to anyone.

To get an airdrop, they asking wallet private key for verification! I heard this first time!

OP, this isn't new scheme many airdrops in the past which uses Google form frequently ask the private key and some still fall for this. I dont know if they really doesn't know or just too desperate for the amount offer of the giveaway.

Anyway nice thread this can keep remind them about this kind of scam. Hope they read and absorb what is written here.

Were you full member before merit system came to existence? If so, op might have updated bot to count airdropped merits.

Just a blind guess  Tongue

Funny.. So you think I only have airdropped merits? My airdrop merits is only 10 for your information. Hope you know my rank for that merits before the implementation of merit system existed. Cause my total earned merits is 574. Your judgement is askwed.

Check for reference..

Maybe you are full member prior to the implementation.
6955  Other / Meta / Re: [TELEGRAM BOT] Merit, Trust List, etc. [INFORMATION] on: February 12, 2020, 03:52:54 AM
I thought I did received 100 merits today. That is very surprising cause I check yesterday the merits received for 120days and gave me 374 and checked again just now it became 474 and I check my merits still same. I thought someone dump me 50 and another 50  Grin

Ive noticed that sometime it got some error or inaccurate display of merits received. But this is okay as bots are usually like this. But this is really an awesome bot. Hoping for more additional features. Thanks for this, counting merits will not be a problem anymore.

6956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs Manny Pacquiao on: February 11, 2020, 03:51:02 PM

If given a chance to pursue this fight big chance that same scene  will happen Mayweather will continue to run and avoid any possible big punch from Manny and wait till the deciding bell rings up and announce the winner.
Big chance? I am not a full time gambler, but I will bet, that's surely will happened without any zero doubt. Boxing has a lot of strategy I just dont really like how Champion floyd style of fighting (defense running, avoiding whatever dodgy move he has). That's a hundred percent statement. Technically he won their fight so we need to accept but still cant accept his the best. 100% No, period. Anyway, this fight being raised by Pacman and Connor would be match more interesting. If given chance I would buy ticket to watch it Live if this will push through. Match worth wasting some money.

6958  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: XRP Price to $14 - Any thoughts? on: February 11, 2020, 06:57:01 AM
To be honest, many haters dont want the xrp style because of being centralized and under the control of banks. Literally, speaking their goal is to be more affiliated with banks. I cant hate them too much because I'm always using xrp in my trading due to their fast transaction and low fees. Admit it most of us here is using this coin as gateway for our other coins especially coinsph supported siya.

Im betting they can reached that but not this time. Still got some few of this, and also hoping it could generate more profits when the times I needed to cash them out.

6959  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Information] Altsbit Exchange hacked on: February 11, 2020, 06:48:40 AM
Freakin dots and commas lol. They can't even decide on which one to use:

I think this exchange somehow same with Indonesian habit of using comma instead of dot. I have a co workers and I'm got confuse always why he keep using comma for unnatural set of number which give some confusion. But he explained that's how they put up in such values. The difference is correct but this values with commas and dot will totally be a confusion for all who doesnt recognize their style.

I didn't bother checking the amount further because of that Grin It's an Italian exchange thought only Indonesians have a weird way with numbers but here comes Altsbit

So Italian have the same style in using commas and dot in figures? This is new for me, I thought only Indos have this habit.

Quote
"Refunds will begin on February 10 2020 and end on May 8 2020, after this date it will no longer be possible to request a refund as the Altsbit platform will be terminated."

I have an account there. Luckily dont have any funds yet and decided to hold my coins that are listed there. Hopefully everyone will be informed cause they might got shocked if they are so busy ans suddenly they cant access any of their funds in their compromised exchange.
