Watch out how much you are actually buying back because the market seems to be facing resistance at the level above 4k and support at the 3.8k level. I would rather buy if I have to at lower levels than 3.8k because if the bottom drops its going to be crashing back to 1.5k as per popular news but I believe its a bit of an exxageration. A better low would be 2k for now.

Human brains work in strange fashion. A few days ago when bitcoin prices were stable at 6k people were complaining that it was "too stable" and that market was not worth putting money in. Now when there has been a down trend and a correction upto 4k people are complaining it to be "too unstable". Humans are never happy with anything - you give them A they ask for B and vice-versa

If we do check price charts compared with last year there has been a drop but not leaps and drops so I would say it has been a simple bearish trend and not volatile.

However I feel the path is already chosen. There are big whales manipulating the market, unregulated trading of crypto and the traditional investors are aware of this. So if an ETF was accepted it would not become a popular thing among them to invest in.

It might cause an immediate pump due to some over enthusiastic bagholders of crypto (not traditional investors) and then gradually dump and bleed out. Unless there are more clear regulations put on crypto or legal systems being used to enforce trades there wont be any good effect of the ETF.

How can a person sell at high price during a bear market? Only if they have bought at very very low prices will they be still in the green if they sell in the bear market.
