I'm guessing I'm out but of course I'd want in too.
6942  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTB] BTCC 10k Chip on: November 17, 2017, 04:21:04 PM
I have a few of the signature sets available,  that have a 10k chip in

I've collected the 1k, 5k and 25k so far..so trying to build it myself.  However, I'm sure you'd be cool with pulling that chip and selling it to me right!  Cheesy
6943  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 1 oz BTC silver bar and BTC gold "world" coin-makers known? on: November 17, 2017, 02:51:42 PM
There are fakes all over the place.  That's why I would recommend never buying precious metal unless you know the seller and the circumstances or test the metal before final payment.

......psst... wanna buy an MS69 Sol Noctis....  it's real, I swear Wink

And way cooler than 99% of coins out there today! If it’s real that is  Cheesy

Agreed..sticking to the big guys (Apmex, Provident metals, JM Bullion etc) are where you can safely buy. Many brick and mortar stores are a rip off and and I don’t craigslist for Bullion either lol.

I just found this thread after posting this question in another a second ago.  I can't keep up with all this fork stuff in my day to day so I ask this with ignorance..will Cas coins have 4 coins here soon?

Also I've seen mention of BCC...are you guys talking about Bitconnect?

No, some label Bitcoin Cash as BCC instead of BCH

and stay away from BitConnect... Ponzi SKAM  to the max..... you have been warned.

I was going to tell you all the same and thought no way you guys would fall for that Ponzi bs!  They are almost too easy to pick apart. They had over a billion in market-cap space at one point. Sad and sucks and will be a black eye for BTC soon enough. Hopefully a small one though.

Please pm if you’ve got one on the trading block! Thx!
6947  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 1 oz BTC silver bar and BTC gold "world" coin-makers known? on: November 17, 2017, 12:06:30 PM
Thanks Mitchell!!

I was definitely aware that it was not real silver.  I forget how I knew that at time of purchase ( seller either listed that fact as well as if you see it in person and not in my god awful photos ..it's semi obvious).

I've seen so many damn coins that state they are .999 silver that are not. It's just to mimic a traditional, precious metal coin/bar.  Not sure I like that idea myself but that's normally why.  Or simply faked from China which happens a lot.
6948  Economy / Collectibles / 1 oz BTC silver bar and BTC gold "world" coin-makers known? on: November 17, 2017, 10:57:24 AM
Went through my collection and came across these two and was curious if anyone knows the maker of either?  thanks!

6949  Economy / Collectibles / Re: WTB 5btc Casascius and a question. on: November 17, 2017, 10:46:54 AM
Depends on the grade (likewise for numismatics as a whole-in general), but I believe (as ugly as their slabs are) it's best to leave them in their graves.  I just don't understand still why NGC hasn't hopped on board.

Also- have to think there aren't a ton of graded 5BTC either.

6951  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Peeled] When that Bcash looks too tempting to dump. on: November 17, 2017, 10:29:27 AM
Was it easy to redeem them? Did they have a QR code?

I guess you sweep the BTC first, then move the BTC to a new address, then use the same private key to claim BCH?

Glad you asked this as it's been in my mind of late. My main question really is lets say in 2 months each Cas Coin has 4 coins (I believe this would end up being the case after Bit Gold and whenever Segwit2x happens) how big of a pain in the arse will it be to move all coins out?  5mn project, an hour?

I remember reading Bitcointalk's briefing of how to separate BTC and BCH and after reading it I was happy to say no thanks right now, mess with it another day.  For a non-coder or PC wiz, looked daunting.
6952  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 2013 Casacius 1 BTC GILT FUNDED (MS 68) on: November 17, 2017, 12:47:58 AM

Nice! That is a great find, and I am sure he is a reputable seller (as mentioned by others in this thread). Only downside, I do not believe this one on eBay was graded? So hopefully mine would pull a slightly better premium.

Valid point. The coin looks nice, but it’s not a graded 68 (at least yet)
6953  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 2013 Casacius 1 BTC GILT FUNDED (MS 68) on: November 17, 2017, 12:32:39 AM

One literally just ended on eBay and sold for 1.53BTC.. just an FYI. Of course the seller lost out on .23BTC in fees.

Can you share a link?

Sure thing!!

Here you go:

Ouch. The Casascius Silver Gilt and All Silver 1 BTC has, until now, managed to hold on to the majority of its' premium. Seeing one sell for 1.53 BTC (especially on eBay) is discouraging. Although it was only a matter of time before the premium on these started to be affected. I suspect it will get worse as BTC increases past $10k.

I couldn't part with one of mine for that. One day the rarity factor of these will catch up with them (with there only being 700). Once regular coin collectors become interested in crypto, then we should once again see a boost in premiums. That might be a while away.. Until then, its worth just hanging onto (if you don't need to sell).

He sold me Cas coins for a deal he probably regretted and I’d like to say he just doesn’t know the market but this was an auction and not a buy it now. When I saw what it went for I got a little sad inside that I wasn’t that last bid!

Also B I agree. With mints like the US producing mostly garbage nobody wants it’s been a drag on  the numismatic world. As a coin collector when I found Casascius and Kialara it complete reinvigorated my love for the hobby.
6954  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Digi's Custom Coin Miner Storage Boxes - 1oz, 2oz, Anacs, & Extra Storage! on: November 17, 2017, 12:18:27 AM
BTCump, Miner Storage Boxes still available and are the cheapest they've ever been in terms of BTCGrin

Suppose I’m overdue for one! Let me pick it out and will send PM shortly!

that guy already has one neg feedback for not selling the same coin so who knows if it sold this time

That user sells a lot of crypto coins. Always thought it was a regular here.

Edit- ok now I realize that user sold me two Cas Coins a few months ago. Paid for insurance for me and was very happy with their customer service (for whatever that’s worth).

I am on the hunt for a BTC watch. Seen a few but didn’t like em. Ever plan to do watches?
6957  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 2013 Casacius 1 BTC GILT FUNDED (MS 68) on: November 16, 2017, 05:06:53 AM
Bump. Looking to sell this beauty. Preferably local.

I will offer 1.5btc shipped with escrow or 1.6btc direct (bits or usd) if you meet me in the PNW USA.  Grin

Very tempting. Is the 2 - 2.5 ask too high? Or you just trying to get a good deal?  Huh
