6941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gervonta Davis vs Leo Santa Cruz on: September 05, 2020, 11:59:07 PM
It's time for Davis to share his thoughts about the fight,

Quote
"He’s coming with his output, a lot of punches, he throws more than me. I’m coming and hit hard. It’s just about who wants it the most, who can dish it out and take it too,” Davis told the Last Stand Podcast with Brian Custer. “I don’t think my power will be too much because he’s a veteran. He’s been in there with guys who had power. It’s about who comes out there and is perfect that night. It will show if my power is too much for him. It might be a short night. It will come down to whoever wants it more.”

https://www.boxingscene.com/gervonta-davis-santa-cruz-throws-more-me-i-come-hit-hard--151490

So he knows that Santa Cruz is a volume puncher and he is prepared for it. So volume vs accurate and hard puncher. A classic brawler vs technical fighter here.

6943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chainlink nodes were targeted last week, cost them at least 700 ETH on: September 05, 2020, 11:02:12 PM
This is one part of the equation regarding the sudden and unexpected decline not just altcoins but the whole crypto market including bitcoin. It seems that Chainlink team is up 24x7 to monitor the health of their systems that's why this kind of exploits have been caught and mitigated on time. 700 ETH is a lot, but then again, if not for the quick actions, it could drain other nodes wallet and the criminals could have double their money.

This is a lessons for other projects right now, check everything, check every possible loopholes, they don't want to be the next victims by these low life cyber actors.
6944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Micah - Sept 26 on: September 05, 2020, 10:38:44 PM
Ok let's hear what Micah is saying, no trash talking on either side yet:

Quote
He said, “I am absolutely delighted to be giving this opportunity to fight Casimero. It has been a tough year, but my team of Uncle Andre, Keith, and Chris have really helped keep me strong and keep me focused for opportunities that may come my way.

“I have got to thank Keith Connolly as well as Andre Rozier for what he has done for my career and for getting me this opportunity on a huge PBC on Showtime Pay-Per-View. I have been working for this my whole career and I am confident I can win this fight and show the world who Duke Micah is.

“It is great I am on the same bill as Sergiy Derevyanchenko as well. Sergiy is an amazing fighter and a great part of Uncle Andre’s Havoc Team and we all support him. I believe we will both leave the Mohegan Sun Hotel as world champion.”

“I have respect for all the champions in boxing. Casimero is a great fighter and a great champion. I’m confident that if God permits, I can win this fight.

“Casimero has fought some of the best fighters in the world in different weight classes. He has shown he is an elite level fighter, but now it’s my time to prove I am an elite level fighter too.

“I’ve got a great team behind me and I believe that I have the style of beat Casimero and become a world champion. Time will tell and I’m hoping to become Ghana’s next world champion. I want to follow in the footsteps of Azumah Nelson and Ike Quartey and become a great fighter for Ghana and Africa and make my family proud.”

https://www.boxingscene.com/duke-micah-im-confident-i-beat-casimero-show-world-who-i--151492

The usual show respect from the kid, after all this is his first crack for the belt and have been training very hard obviously, under the guidance of Andre Rozier.

I recently check sportsbet, unfortunately, there are no odds yet. We just need to monitor as I'm sure as we near the fight schedule, the odds will be open for boxing gamblers here. But I don't know how attractive it is for Casimero.  Cheesy
6945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Card counting in black jack on: September 05, 2020, 10:15:34 PM
Statistical evidence shows that you can turn around the house edge with this 'trick', and increases the players chances. But I never tried it though, probably it will take time and practice to memorise everything. I'm also interested to know if there are 'professional' card counter here. It's not illegal, but if the casino suspect you that you are doing this strategy, then you can be kick out of the casino and be blacklisted.
He can just create a donation drive, or even better ask the socialites to help him in his goal dahil alam naman nating marami na rin namang mga philanthropist ang willing talagang tumulong sa Africa. Though at the least, maganda rin naman na nagamit ni Akon na avenue yung cryptocurrencies to help, and this might even spark the interest of the African people sa naturang technology to learn more about it and hopefully use it for their own benefit na rin.

"Your guess is as good as mine", ika nga.

6947  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Chainlink nodes were targeted last week, cost them at least 700 ETH on: September 04, 2020, 11:03:08 PM
Chainlink nodes were targeted in an attack last weekend that cost them at least 700 ETH

Quote
Quick Take

- At least nine Chainlink node operators suffered an attack on Sunday that resulted in the draining of about - 700 ETH from their wallets, The Block has learned.
- The attack exploited the way in which nodes respond to queries and involved the use of a token tied to network transaction costs.
- Chainlink confirmed the attack and described it as a “failed attempt” to spam the network.
- One node operator, Certus One, said they lost about 20 ETH.

https://www.theblockcrypto.com/post/76986/chainlink-nodes-attack-eth

I don't know if you guys are aware that Chainlink was attack, as a result causing some node operator to lose a total of 700 ETH. The good thing is that it was caught right away and at least it didn't drain that much ETH as nodes keeps on refelling their wallets with ETH. Good job the the people behind the project, but this is another lesson that cyber threat actors are already watching from behind and are going to exploit it again if they found some vulnerabilities.

6949  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How Cryptocurrency rates especially BTC Fluctuate so quickly? on: September 04, 2020, 10:17:59 PM
I always wonder How Cryptocurrency rates especially BTC Fluctuate so quickly? I mean is there any system on which there rates are decided? If so, what is it?

Supply/Demand, the basic principle, the higher the demand, the price is obviously getting to be positively affected. So there are no written system per se, but supply and demand are affected by a lot of factors, i.e. negative news, hype or FOMO then manipulation.
6950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Inoue vs. Moloney - October 31 on: September 04, 2020, 08:09:50 PM
So Inoue will be facing Australia's Jason Moloney, this kid is a banger and it's tailor made for Inoue. Highlights of his last fight against Baez.

That's the right term bro, this fight is tailor fit for Inoue and this will make the latter looks good in the ring. Top Rank is grooming this kid to be the next Asian superstar and so far they are doing a very good job by cancelling his supposed fight with Casimero. Will be betting for Inoue by knock-out.

Yes, we all know that Top Rank started this whole era of cherry picking opponents, specially with Manny Pacquaio. So they know what they are doing with this kid and they don't want to throw him early with Casimero without any 'warm-up' fight, so Moloney is the right guy for them to show case once more Inoue's strength, to create more hype before setting everything up for Casimero next year.
6951  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What the heck is happening to bitcoin! on: September 04, 2020, 07:49:06 PM
Is it manipulation? or just not breaking the resistance of 12K Area?
I am shocked of this recent drop and i am a long term holder, what do you think it will happen? just a correction?

Lol, you just contradict yourself, if you're really a long term holder then why are you affected by the sudden drop of price? I will assume you know that if you don't sell then you are not losing money here, so it seems that you are in a panic mode. Obviously, this is a correction, maybe we can really identify the reason in the next couple of days, but for now it's all speculation as to what the cause of the sudden drop. And again, as I have said, it's not just crypto, stocks and golds also went down, so every market is really affected.

I do realize that, but this drop is not something that you can take your eyes off, was just wondering what happened or any explanation for it.

We can only speculate, it's hard to pinpoint what the exact reason why there is a sudden drop, there are articles saying that it was due to miners selling off? I really don't understand why would they do that, but the most logical choice is that some large investors decided to cash out, cause panic. Seems that the price has stop, so correction is at $10500. So another demand accumulation stage, starting next week Monday.
6953  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Venture Capital Giant Marc Andreessen Joins Coinbase Board. Coinbase IPO? Crypto on: September 03, 2020, 11:08:00 PM
If they pull a IPO today, it will be a perfect timing because we are already in a bull run and I would say the best decision and it could really attract a lot of investors. So we will see, I know that lately Coinbase has been taking a lot of heat, but even the hard core haters will say that this is very positive thing for crypto space. So let's see how it goes, probably in the hundreds of millions of $$$ that we are talking about here.

6955  Economy / Economics / Re: Money printing about Australia on: September 03, 2020, 10:20:44 PM
This is expected already LOLS.
Please share your prediction for the next year Smiley

U.S started it and now other countries including Australia are doing it for their economy to be saved. Your'e affected by the QE that the government has been doing?? Better hedge and invest your fiat money to different assets.

next year  we will see alot economic growth

Isn't it that's what every country is aiming for? at least so see some significant gains but because of the pandemic (and I believed it will continue till 2021), it will be difficult to recover. There might be small %, but I don't see it as economic growth. As for Australia printing money? That's what the equal response of nation today, so it's pretty obvious by now.
6956  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin, Ethereum and Altcoins Lose Momentum on: September 03, 2020, 09:54:10 PM
Is this not out of date?

I can only speak for bitcoin but we fell some time ago and 11500 wasn't really much of a support/resistance zone as we'd gone through it so much recently. The main decision will be made if we break either the 10400 or the 12400 levels imo at this time.

Yes and until we really break into sub $10k, we are still in the bullish trend, if not then we may have witnessed a new bottom. And I think investors are just waiting for it to happen, if $9k is achieved, this is a good buy entry. And just to be fair, even global traditional markets also decline in the past 24 hours, stocks and gold also plummeted together will cryptos.
6957  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Anubis: A fork malware which targets crypto currency wallets on: September 02, 2020, 11:59:47 PM
Anubis rang a bell, and I thought this was old news from at least 2018/2019, when a banking targeting malware was on the loose.

It does ring a bell, {Warning}: Cerberus Android Malware Can Bypass 2FA, Unlock Devices Remotely.

If we are going by the flow, it was supposedly a fork of Loki, so back tracking, the mode of attack is:

So I will assume that the 3rd attack vector is what Microsoft Engineers have seen in the wild.
6958  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vitalik Buterin vs Dan Larimer on: September 02, 2020, 11:21:14 PM
[.. snip ..]

Exactly. Vitalik has been more involved in the crypto/Blockchain space than Dan himself. Ethereum is in the spotlight right now, whereas EOS is behind it every step of the way. While Dan Larimer invented DPoS and the world's first decentralized exchange, his projects haven't been quite popular as Vitalik's. Consider how Bitshares and STEEM turned out to become after Dan Larimer departed from them. They're now practically abandoned, as the focus has shifted into Dan's latest blockchain project dubbed EOS. But his latest creation is still unable to compete with Ethereum due to its utterly centralized model.

Based on years of experience, Vitalik has a greater level of knowledge regarding crypto/Blockchain tech than Dan himself. They're still prominent figures in the crypto space. But people often admire Vitalik, because of his large contributions to this emerging industry. The fact that Ethereum is extremely popular these days, tell us that Vitalik will be getting all of the attention for as long as crypto/Blockchain exists in cyberspace. Just my thoughts Grin

I'll tend to agree with you, Vitalik used to be a bitcoin developer (correct me If I'm wrong), but he sees something different that's why he started his own project and called it Ethereum. And guess what, it become so successful that Ethereum is synonymous to Vitalik Buterin already. So he is very influential to blockchain technology itself and one of the prominent figures and we could say that only Satoshi Nakamoto's name is more recognised than him in crypto space.
6959  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Police reportedly seize South Korea's largest crypto exchange Bithumb on: September 02, 2020, 10:59:40 PM
What now? People will withdraw funds from Bithumb, this mass movement of funds will definitely cause little panic and price would go down again. True?

Waiting for Bithumb answer. I expect they will refute the act of police raid. Like Binance did last year, when there were news about police in their office in Shanghai.

Not sure if the funds are going to be on-hold while investigations are rolling, so it's early to speculate wherein this news is the real cause of the sudden down trend, or maybe someone took advantage of the news to drive the price down to easily scope cheap bitcoin.

Anyhow, let's see, we are in a sort of mini bull run and I don't think that any news will have a long term effect in the market. Maybe next week we will see that we have bounce back again and nearing $11,800-$12k, I remain optimistic.
6960  Economy / Gambling discussion / [Boxing]: Inoue vs. Moloney - October 31 on: September 02, 2020, 10:31:57 PM
So this is the other half of the puzzle,

Quote
Plans are in the works for Japanese superstar Naoya Inoue to defend his unified bantamweight world title against Jason Moloney on Oct. 31 in the main event of a Top Rank Boxing on ESPN card in Las Vegas, Top Rank chairman Bob Arum told BoxingScene on Monday.

“We are working on that,” Arum said. “It would be ‘The Monster’ fighting Moloney on Halloween.”

https://www.boxingscene.com/naoya-inoue-vs-jason-moloney-play-october-31--151395

We boxing fans are waiting for the Inoue vs Casimero fight but they go on their separate ways to fight make themselves busy as the original fight didn't went through because of the pandemic.

So Inoue will be facing Australia's Jason Moloney, this kid is a banger and it's tailor made for Inoue. Highlights of his last fight against Baez.

This will be a good fight but this is a cherry pick fight for Inoue to show his skills again.

Current odds have been updated:
