I have seen a lot of old players play for Juventus before. Whenever we talk about Juventus a lot of legendary names come to mind. I think Paul Pogba will be able to perform well in Juventus and eventually he will retire as one of the legends playing for Juventus. It obviously does not feel like a big upgrade from Manchester United to Juventus but the play style of Juventus is going to suit Paul Pogba. So he should be able to perform a lot better compared to his days in Manchester United.
This is not only happening in Juventus many other Italian clubs are having few old players, and they are doing much better because they feel if they can perform then surely they can stay otherwise club is not going to extend their contact we have AC Milan where few old players doing impressive, and they won last season now Juventus is also having few players from Manchester United and PSG which is going to be good. For me these both changes are going to have positive outcome for Juventus because both players were no in good shape and having trouble with their last clubs which is not going to end, and they will have much better time to play and give their best. Yes, it's not only about Juventus when we talk about old players, because usually older players have a better chance of playing in the big teams in Serie A. This tradition has been going on for a long time and I'm not surprised by it, it's just, it would be a shame when they play for a tournament like the Champions League. Because a team with a lot of old players doesn't guarantee it will be good in Champions League events and only good in local tournaments, but if they have good management by combining old and young players it will still be great like Real Madrid we know they have key players are old players. |

I agree that Vini definitely deserves a big fat check and he needs to stay in Real for a long time. Dude was trusted to be a good player for a while and given the reigns, and he didn't started this great, but gradually became better and better. If they sell de Ligt for a huge sum of money like 90-100 million euros then I don't think they would have any problem on signing a replacement for him. They were one of the top teams during the time of Frank Rijkaard, Patrick Kluivert, Edwin van der Sar, Frank de Boer and Marc Overmars. A few years later they had Ruud van Nistelrooy, Rafael van der Vaart, Wesley Sneijder, Arjen Robben and Robin van Persie. Now they don't have any player of that calibre. They didn't even qualified for the world cup in 2018. And in terms of FIFA ranking, Netherlands have been outside top-10 ever since 2014. But the Netherlands even though it still doesn't have big names like its predecessors, but the Netherlands is starting to develop now. At least now the Netherlands has names like Matthijs de Ligt, Virgil van Dijk, Steven Bergwijn, Daley Blind, Georginio Wijnaldum, Frenkie de Jong and also Memphis Depay. Although their quality is still not as good as their senior players in the Netherlands but at least, the Netherlands has managed to recover and of course I believe that the Netherlands will be a great team in the world cup. |
