6962  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin $1000? on: February 02, 2018, 09:09:41 PM
Ask yourself, if you are selling a loss at this time, for what and to whom do you sell?

If you are good at short trade to increase your coin number please. If you do not have that skill, ask yourself, why should I sell a loss?

Are you afraid crypto will end in this February?

I think not, crypto is not pokemon or agate. It's an era, a new era for the internet. We just started, then you stop here?

I think if BTC can survive the bad news of massive hack on MT GOX the previous year. This year's news is just gravel dust passing by.

I was mislead by the subject of your thread. lol.

No. I'm not afraid that crypto will end this February. On the contrary I think February is the start of something big for all of us. It will be a good month and I speculate that it will bring positive outlook from all of this bleeding that we are seeing right now.

Yes, this is just another barrier or barricade that's in front of us. Its not easy to break it but this hindrance can be overcome if we are not going to panic sell. This is just another day at the office.
6963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blood-Bath Over? on: February 02, 2018, 08:15:07 PM
Its not over yet by a long shot. The market is still suffering as of the moment. The marketcap is still down, we need to get at least $500-$600M to be safe. Its still a long road ahead of us, there's still room for growth in 2018. Not worried about this market crash because I believed that it will bounce back and will hit another $20K.

Its really hard lessons for everyone this January. If you are too weak then I'm sure you have sold all your bitcoins and crypto. But if you have that strong hand and you have control of your emotions and know that this is just temporary test, then I'm sure that 6 months from now we all be gonna happy to Hodl and withstand this turbulence.
6964  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market News (2/2/2018) on: February 02, 2018, 07:06:06 PM
After falling to nearly 50% of the cryptocurrency market is showing signs of recovery. Market capitalization has risen from $ 365 billion to $ 450 billion ... this is the time for people to buy their children and wait for the opportunity to spend at high prices. Keep the money you love.
Good luck
Thanks for watching

Now the price of bitcoin is start to raise back. Dud to ban news in South Korea, the price of bitcoin is reduced some how. Due to the panic sellers. After the regulation news in SK ,the price of bitcoin raised again. A day back some news about bitcoin is banned in India. Then the price reduce further more and reached 7800$ today. Now we come to know bitcoin is not illegal in India and only acceptance of bitcoin as a payment is banned. Now the price of bitcoin starts to raise again.

So have we seen the bottom? Or are they going to bring in some more fake news these coming weeks? Tongue

Remains to be seen. But I think we are still in the bottom at $8500 per coinmarketcap. Those fake news really spread like wildfires causing panic amongst investors. I'm sure that the weak hands is shaken, down and out. Strong hands always prevails. Too early to tell if we are bouncing back or is still another bull trap.

Market though is just above $400M. Need a lot of work to further push the price above $10K. Let's see if February will be a good month. Just frustrating as to what transpired in January, and I hope that we can get over this hump and move forward again.
6965  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is recovering,It just hit $9000 again. on: February 02, 2018, 06:11:59 PM
I saw that the price of bitcoin and other crypto currencies are bumping exactly at the same time and it now reached $9000 in some hours.I hope this is the end of the crazy run with bitcoin price.

Its too early to tell. We need to wait and see if it settles around the $9K vicinity. It doesn't have support levels and it easily broken. Still a good chance to buy and enter the market though and maximize gains. we should consider ourselves lucky because we have witness this opportunity to buy while they are cheap.

I think do not rush to buy before you see what is happening.  It might crash again.    Rushing in at 20k last time is what has caused all the problems.  And even rushing in at 15k.  It might well go lower than it is now.

But the price is cheap and its a win-win situation. The $20K rush is different. There are a lot of irrational buyers at that time. No need to wait till the price bottom as no one really know how low can still go.
6966  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency or ICO Ban in Facebook? on: February 01, 2018, 10:51:37 PM
What happen if  ICO or Cryptocurrency banned in facebook or other social media? Do you think it will happen?

Facebook has officially ban ICO or anything related to crypto advertisement. What will happen? Nothing, they can still promote their ICO to other social media sites, or even in other crypto related websites.

Mark Z. goals is to prevent facebook users from investing on ICO scams. But this is not a direct attack to bitcoin or crypto itself. I also don't think it will negatively affect the price as well. The current price dip has something to do with India's news that they are regulating crypto.
6967  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is hurting on: February 01, 2018, 07:34:23 PM
Exactly! Especially if we take into account that BTC is not mined with GPU.  Angry

Correct. Don't blame it on bitcoin mate. No one is mining bitcoin with GPU nowadays. Put the blame on altcoins.

The OP is talking about this article:   https://www.theverge.com/2018/1/30/16949550/bitcoin-graphics-cards-pc-prices-surge

Because of the demand for certain GPUs, retailers are inflating the MSRP from $300 to $700-800 and taking advantage of the demand.  PC gamers are having trouble affording higher end systems because of the price increase.  NVIDIA is trying to prioritize gamers because they're afraid a lot of these customers will run to consoles, but what can they really do, people will take advantage of profit when it's available.  This should push more demand for lower end GPU's.  NVIDIA is probably worried about losing customer market share if the high prices continue for too long.

I think they used manufacture to board then. One for gamers only and two for mining specifics. Its still gonna be a win win situation for them and for their customers. This crypto market really change the landscape of many business. But its all good at the end. Need to adapt otherwise you will become obsolete.
6968  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto is not a legal tender in India on: February 01, 2018, 06:46:52 PM
This is not a new. The government already stated a few months back that cyrpto is not legal tender but they don't have regulatory body to declare that its illegal to own crypto. Even RBI says that its not illegal. The OP is really trolling and I'm sure that he has been paid handsomely to spread fear amongst the community.

This is not the cause of the current market crash for me. There's some deeper reason behind that we still unable to uncover as of this time. China, South Korea or India's news are over now. When things settles down in the next couple of days we will see what causes this fall. Not just pure FUD.
6969  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN fall less than 9K USD! on: February 01, 2018, 06:13:09 PM
as of now, bitcoin price is less than 9.000 USD, and the graph is really bloody and still falling.
what is your plan for your bitcoin?
sell now or buy more and wait for the rocket?

The worst thing you can do today is to dump your bitcoins because the price is going down. Yes, its really worry me as well, however, I look at the bright side, this is the time to buy and acquire it in large volumes because the price is very cheap. And then just wait for a few months and wait for the rocket to fire.

Its bloody and messy right now, lots of panic selling but you have to remember that is just a minor setback. A lot of governments are not putting a fence against crypto and there's a lot of FUD that cause the price to reverse, however, I can still see that we can overcome all of this and at long term the price could rally and go past 5 digits again.

6970  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade based in upcoming events is viable? on: February 01, 2018, 05:48:16 PM
I wonder if buy and sell tokens using this page (https://tokensrecord.com/events)  as parameter is a good idea. And what events can result in a price increase for a token?

There's certainly profit to be made by doing this but you are playing a somewhat risky game. The problem is is that most savvy followers of a coin will know the news before it lists on such a site and they will have already bought the coins in advance of that and pushed the price up, they'll then be looking for a good time to sell. In other words, you might miss the rush and end up buying too high and then be losing out.

But this is still a good catch though. I don't know if those "savvy followers" have really inside information on when the coins will be listed on an exchange. Please take note that I used the term "insider information", which is very fraudulent to begin with. One event that can really put the price to the next level is being listed on a top trading platform. I saw a lot making gains like x10 or even x100.

How do I know? I have tokens that I bought at a cheap price, but I didn't hold that long until one day the devs suddenly announced that they are going to be listed on a exchange. Then boom, the price goes off the roof. Sadly I already dump it a few weeks ago.

With that said, I'm sure that you will make a lot of profit if you know when the coins are going to be listed and what exchanges they are going to be in the future.
6971  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Good news from Ripple (XRP) on: January 31, 2018, 10:47:36 PM
Good news for XRP holder, because ripple company has new partner now, ripple say " since launching xRapid late summer, we have signed on 4 costumer : @moneygram @Cuallix @IDT_corp and @mercury_fx_ltd -payment providers are leading the way to use xrp in real money pilots. Ripple is in top 10 in coinmarketcap. Be smile guys
Im sure xrp will be bigger in the next
For complete information you can visit :
https://twitter.com/Ripple/status/956558033731010560
I don't really care about ripple anymore . I've invested in it when it was like 2.5$ and i've only seen dark days with it x_x, from my time holding it , I've learned that no matter how much good news that will be announced about it , the price will mostly never move . Because of the high number of supply and also the number of whales controling it . People are losing faith in it everyday and its partnerships with banks don't help either. Now I think it's a good position to buy ,but don't get your hopes too high.

Looks like you did get it at top price and then we suddenly went into this deep bleeding that why Ripple has been in the roller coaster ride. But for those who have bought the coins below $1 this is very welcoming and positive news to hear.

Although one of its drawback is that it's pre-mined, but I'm sure that it will get to closer once again to ETH in terms of marketcap. But to overtook bitcoin is a far fetched story, at least in my opinion.
6972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anonymity on: January 31, 2018, 10:12:18 PM
One of the "pros" of Bitcoin or crypto-currency in general is you can be involved (trade, buy and such) in it ANONYMOUSLY. But in the past few months, looks like that's not the case.

Some Exchanges are now requires you to fill-up forms about your identity and even requires you to upload photos of your identification. Other ICOs have KYI (know-your-identity) requirements too.

Is this a good thing or not? You thoughts?

Well this is what we call regulations. It really breaks one cadence of bitcoin and crypto's to remain anonymous. I think this is not a good move for some trading platforms to really require their users to submit personal identification. But as I have said governments are strictly intimidating exchange to implement it, otherwise they will be shutdown.

Its one way for the government to hunt and track you down in case you are thinking of using it as a blanket for your illegal activities. But I guess if you have nothing to hide then its not gonna be a big concern.
6973  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cardano knocks off BTC's Crown on: January 31, 2018, 06:22:42 PM
Hi everyone, just a curious question. Can Cardano surpass BTC & ETH?
I know that it is currently undervalued - or so I think; But with ADA's solidity and scalability prospect is it ever going to happen?

Your thoughts please... Need to make a long term investment decision on this.

If you are into CARDANO for long term then why are you curious about it surpassing bitcoin or ethereum?

I absolutely didn't think that is possible to even get closer to the price of ethereum. There's so much hype around this coin and I have read its whitepaper but I totally lost it because of too much technical terms in it. LOL.

Yes, its a good coin to invest, but I don't think that it will go above bitcoin and ethereum price not even in the next 10 years or so.
6974  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading and investing rules on: January 31, 2018, 05:22:04 PM
When it comes to trading and investing everyone has their own set of rules they obey. I made a list with my rules and that made me curious, what set of rules do you use?

My own rules:
- Never invest in a program that "makes money for you."

I think you are talking about cloud mining, bitcoin doubler, HYiP and others which is pure scam.

- Never buy at a sudden rise in value but wait untill the market is stabilized.

Of course, never buy at top price. You should always buy when the price is cheap and hold in long term.

- Never have more than 20% of portfolio in one coin.

Not sure about this advise though. I assumed that there are a lot of members who hold bitcoins at 50%++ and the rest altcoins.

- Don't trust anyone!

Yes. No brainer here.

- Check the sources of news.
- Know the coin! Active team? Goals? Coin supply - market cap? exchanges? ...

Yes, we need to do our own homework. Check the team behind, whitepaper, road maps. Search the web for anything about the coin that you are going to invest and weight the risk.

And the golden rule: "Invest what you can afford to lose. Don't put your life savings on crypto. At least give yourself some buffer in case something went wrong with your investment.
6975  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin $ 100,000 will be in 2018? on: January 31, 2018, 05:01:16 PM
Friends do you think whether the bitcoin of the $ 100,000 course in 2018 will reach. I ask your opinion to justify why you think so. My answer is, yes, I think that bitcoin will be worth or at least will affect this price, because the crypt is now in the growth phase, technology blockchain will be introduced everywhere in different industries.

As much as I'm very bullish about bitcoin, I don't see $100K to be possible this year. Even touching $20K is getting difficult, right now the price just took a nose dive below $10K. This bloodbath has been continuing since the start of the year that the top price I could see down the line is around $30K-$50K.

Your assumption is wrong at the very beginning, blockchain is not the same as bitcoin. Blockchain is the underlying technology behind it. So it doesn't mean that this technology will be used or applied into different sectors doesn't mean that bitcoin price will be affected and be push to $100K.
6976  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: $300 into a million? Possible? on: January 31, 2018, 04:39:21 PM
I saw some youtube videos claiming that you can make a million USD in a year starting with $100-500 only, is it really possible? Specially for a newbie like me?

Its possible. Anything is possible is every element fall into the right places. You able to purchase a coins at a cheap price and then suddenly pump many times + luck. As far as I remember, there was a thread started by someone, same goal, to get 1 million USD and he was successful in about 8 months. He was able to get in those altcoins that suddenly blow in the last half of 2017. But he was a experience trader though.

It could really be a win-win situation for you. Nothing will be lost if you don't try it. I say, start today do your homework and research which coins has the potential to do x10, x100 before the end of the year.
6977  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy more or pull back on: January 30, 2018, 10:36:24 PM
I'm a hodl type guy and i am in love with the Onion Product and process so i'm buying more and more as the price drops but let me ask this, How many people here are concerned with the markets drop and the bottoming out of the price on almost every coin out there? Is it time to consider more traditional investment portfolio options like stocks and bonds?  If you only have a small amount to put in, where do you experts suggests for long term gains.

That's why its better to diversify. When I say diversify, go for other options like stocks or mutual funds or bonds. So I say its better if you have that in your portfolio. Its really cause a concern seeing the market going into another bloodbath. Its been more than a month now since we are crypto winter and its somewhat frustrating that we are going in this direction.

Like i said i am in a holding pattern because i feel this is just a start. If nothing else its time to stock up and say you got it at the cheapest point in the year.
What say you?

Just go with the flow. If you have extra funds then its better to buy at this dip and stock up more and jus hold long term. Nothing beat that strategy if you are really for the long haul.
6978  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Happy New Year $22000? on: January 30, 2018, 09:35:55 PM
I think bitcoin will even surpass the 22k this year. Bitcoin is a sleeping lion now and recently a lot of people have been saying is bitcoin dead or what. Bitcoin bull run will happen very soon and I see it surpass 25k.
We all know by the end of 2017 the price of a bitcoin has reached $ 19800 which is a very amazing number. But to the beginning of 2018 the price of a bitcoin has dropped sharply by nearly 50% to $ 11000 at the present time, we can see on https://coinmarketcap.com/. I am very scared of that, in Korea and China there are strict restrictions on bitcoin, I am very concerned whether the bitcoin bubble is going to break?

I understand your frustrations seeing the price of bitcoin going to $10K. I'll just advise you to just keep calm here. We are in a very volatile situation because of all the government crackdown. And I'm sure that you heard about the US regulators send subpoenas to Bitfinex and the company Tether for unknown reasons.

As for Korea, they say that they wouldn't put a trading ban. But rather will come up with strict regulations that will allow banks access to trading platforms' database for KYC/AML compliant.
6979  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will 2018 be better than 2017 for bitcoin on: January 30, 2018, 06:27:14 PM
2017 has being one of the phenomenal years for the people who had stayed invested till the last. It has given some of the unexpected rise during the last couple of months in 2017. Though the start of Jan 2018 was good the market kept moving up but during the later half the market started to sin and back to 10k levels at present.

As far as the price, I don't think that we can surpassed 2017. Started with < $1K and ended up above $13K. So its impossible to see the price jump so high this year.

How do you predict the 2018 year to be for bitcoin. Will it rise back like 2017 and if yes than what could lead to those rise and if no than what factors could be accounted for the downfall?

Probably around $30K-$40K in my view. Will all the governments other the world against bitcoin and crypto, will really hard to see it getting to $50K. But hey, everything is possible, I'm just trying to be realistic here as far as the price goes.
6980  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO's in USA on: January 30, 2018, 05:59:05 PM
Maybe I can help u

This group provide
"US citizens to participate in ICO without RISK!!"

For the process

1.If you want to participate in which ICO ,you have to tell us what ICO you want and give us "Your Ethereum address and Your E-mail ( no password)"

2.Then we will create your account with my IDcard(Thailand citizens) in that ICO and fill your Ethereum address

3.So,you don't have to transfer your money to anyone, you can send ETH to ICO with your account

4.We make a deal ( You pay us, then we give you an ID-Password to login in that website, which mean you can wait till ICO start and get ETH address by yourself)

Join https://www.facebook.com/groups/1584766564942258/

How can those US citizens be so sure that you won't steal the tokens from them since you are going to created the wallet and you will know the password and the private key? This is one of the scammiest thing I ever heard in this community.

Its really hard to bypass the regulations for US citizens to join and invest on ICO. I'm sure sooner or later they will found out what you did, and you might regret your decisions later. There are a lot of legal implications that will get yourself in trouble. I'm sure that heavy penalties and worst jail time are to be expected.
