6981  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A simple proof that Bitcoin has zero value on: December 08, 2018, 03:53:12 AM
Everything that has value, it's because we give it to him. Gold, diamond, etc have value because we are enticed by its beauty and buy them.
6982  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why did people get involved in bitconnect? on: December 08, 2018, 03:49:28 AM
Because greed. For the record, some people already knew it was pyramid scheme, but still got in early and made profit.
6983  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Food for thought !! Why are people not buying ! on: December 08, 2018, 03:45:25 AM
Big investors are buying via OTC methods, their buys don't affect markets as those OTC trades aren't getting counted.

6984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH or EOS? which coin will survive? on: December 07, 2018, 04:01:25 AM
Both will survive. They both have their own pros and cons. Making token on EOS is bit pricey for devs, while on ethereum much cheaper. EOS has free transactions, Ethereum has not.

6985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptopia-apocalypse FUND on: December 07, 2018, 03:58:41 AM
Good thing. Cryptopia albeit a good cryptocurrency exchange but filled with shitcoins.

Wipe out of shitcoins is the only sane thing happening in this bear market.
6986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holding multiple altcoins on: December 07, 2018, 03:52:08 AM
It does not make sense to keep everything on one single wallet, because if you would get tricked, you will lose everything. Never forget to use the diversification and to hold your coins on different wallets and different exchanges.

On exchanges? I would never trust them no matter how highly trusted they are, they can get hacked too.
6987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes you sure about next year? on: December 07, 2018, 03:48:49 AM
I don't have any surity for next year, rather for 2021. It's because of 2020's Bitcoin block halving.
6988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is now the time to buy ALTs? on: December 07, 2018, 03:45:00 AM
Yes, seems like a good time to buy alts, but don't go all in use dollar cost averaging - just to be safe, if market tanks even more.
6989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will waves price touch $5 by the end of this 2018? on: December 07, 2018, 03:40:31 AM
Nope. In this bear market news doesn't affect much at all, especially when BTC is going downhill, it will take alts with it too, irrespective of news.
6990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GEMERA ~ ✅💎💠 The Only Crypto-Token Backed by Colombian Emeralds 💠💎✅ on: December 07, 2018, 03:15:56 AM
or at least the team makes more partnerships or attends a lot of blockchain events
Do you think all of that doesn't need capital?
15% for working capital team. As for the funds currently available, you can see for yourself; https://dashboard.gemera.io/users/sign_in

Makes many partnerships and attends a lot of blockchain events, it's not free, it needs capital.

Agreed. Marketing needs more money than anything. If team doesn't raise enough funds then of course there will be less marketing.

I think the team understands this. But we must understand that they have limited opportunities for this.
If we look at their website, we can see that there are 6 days left until the end of sales, but the funds raised have not increased. Perhaps this school is just not being updated.

Pretty sure this isn't the case. Market is tanking hard, rough time for ICOs, even for last year's ICOs who raised millions — they would have now few hundred thousands (unless they cashed out or converted in stable crypto).

6991  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin should NOT determine the market on: December 06, 2018, 04:19:02 AM
Right on. The better start would be to remove BTC pairs and start pairing altcoins with something else.
6992  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will usage of bitcoin reduce the value of native currencies? on: December 06, 2018, 04:15:57 AM
Certainly not. Most bitcoin/cryptocurrency users convert their crypto to fiat for real world use.

If crypto is gonna widely accepted then it could cause some trouble to native currencies but I am pretty sure governments won't let it happen.
6993  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralized System Disadvantages on: December 06, 2018, 04:11:46 AM
When you use centralized systems, you can look upon to that centralized entity in case you make mistake, example - bank frauds. In decentralized systems it's not possible, you are on mercy of receiver if you make mistake.
6994  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mainstream media more and more into bitcoin-- on: December 06, 2018, 04:06:37 AM
Mainstream media has been a major negative tool in dealing with the bitcoin market by their paid many FUD. Although, unknown to them, they kept helping to spread the gospel of Cryptocurrency, which is part of the overall game of nature. I just hope we should be ending 2018 well after an unnecessary hashwar.

Agreed. They rarely cover the good news about Bitcoin/cryptocurrency (lighting network was huge improvement, anyone seen it on media? Meanwhile,  they would get wild on negative news.
6995  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you OK with Bitcoin being called a token? on: December 06, 2018, 04:03:00 AM
I am not ok with that. There is some Bitcoin token which is kind of shitcoin.

By the way, tokens are not just made on Ethereum, there are other blockchains too.

6997  Other / Meta / Re: Is this forum boring? on: December 05, 2018, 03:43:32 AM
No, at least not as long as that 'money' factor is involved here.

6998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you manage your risks? on: December 05, 2018, 03:39:06 AM
Choose coin with good fundamentals, if trading and already in profit then use stop-loss to secure your profit, diversification in things that doesn't affect one another, investments that bring you passive income.

6999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stupid money on: December 05, 2018, 03:36:47 AM
"BTC is not end all of all crypto. It is important but crypto does not depend on it"

Unfortunately it does, if BTC goes down whole market goes down with it.
7000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How does a cryptocurrency gain followers? on: December 05, 2018, 03:35:14 AM
White paper (sort of!) , that 'new' thing it brings into the crypto space and will it make me money?
