Mine x11? It uses less electricity, and outputs less heat. Personally I think this algo has a bright future for the mid-term at least. I think HIRO and Darkcoin are going to be big. You can also lease rigs, which are VERY profitable. Yes i agree, this is now profitable mining for less electricity. Started to mine dark today we will see now it goes. |

Your correlation has nothing to do with bitcoin value.
Comparing a traditional fiat to another is not the same as bitcoin to a fiat.
Furthermore, many have argued how weak the usd was during the initial adoption of the euro (these days I don't pay attention or give a shit), so even if your correlation was legitimate it would show that bitcoin value is looking grim.
Just waiting for this magical april 16th to come, since it is apparently one of those days... U think i will be in April, i think more in June, summer n vacation time, then it will be price change. |

With all the noise created in the altcoin section it is really hard to figure what coins are promising, especially since the vast majority are just clones.
There are some interesting ones out there but the one that seems definitely the most promising at the moment is NEM.
Main reason being:
- Impressing technical aspects: 100% innovation written from scratch with new PoI algorithm and many very promising features. This innovation makes it more energy efficient, scalable and sustainable over time.
- Most fair distribution and best beginning of any coin. The coin has not even been launched yet but there are around 3000 stakeholders waiting to get their hands on the coin and do whatever it takes to get this to the next level.

P.S. Seems the price for a stake will maybe be somewhere north of 5 btc/stake right after the launch. As more people become aware of this New Economy Movement and its great potential you can guess what will happen.
Update: I will add that this coin will probably be competing hard with Nxt(which is very interesting and promising as well) but will have the enormous advantage of a fair and well organized distribution which could prove instrumental.

ok so bitcoin is less than $500 but remember where it started, it was less than a penny. Just because its going through trials and tribulations doesn't means its dead. I agree this is something that happens last year btc dropped from 1k to 500 then jumped slowly to ~780$. No need to panic this is something that happens all the time |

From what i have read n heard most of people i now that are in this invest in X11 coin they even start mining them.
Word is that they consume less power, with incoming summer this is good if is true.
