6981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When Do you realize a Crypto project is scam or Fraud? on: May 30, 2019, 06:46:55 AM
I don't trust anything enough to get fooled after it turns out to be a scam after the fact. I believe ALL projects are scams at first and I let everyone use the project and talk about it and like it or hate it and then I go in, so I use people as my shield, I put their money in danger and watch them react to it first. That is how I do not get scammed but its not a method that would work for everyone since if everyone acted like me then there wouldn't be anyone to try it.

I still suggest everyone instead of going into a project hoping you will be an early bird and make the most profit just let it get old, let it be whatever it is first and see how people react, only go into it after people say its a legit place. It has helped me so far in my life and I am sure it would help you as well.
6982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What does exchanges do differently for IEO? on: May 29, 2019, 05:26:40 PM
They list it right away, that is the advantage of an IEO, if you do an ICO then you are investing into a coin you have no idea if ever goes to any exchange at all but if you do invest into an IEO you know which exchange it will be listed right away.

Sometimes a coin that has an IEO will not be listed anywhere else ever, or maybe for months, first IEO's still has coins that hasn't been listed anywhere else but the reality is at the very least it is listed at one place. That is why people invest into IEO's a lot more, they get the coin, they wait until its listed and as soon as IEO ends and they can list their coins for sale they do it right away trying to make a profit. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't but in the end at least they have that possibility.
6983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So when are you buying?? on: May 29, 2019, 04:45:46 PM
You saw this potential coin last week. The price was rising, you made up your mind to buy later so you created a thread here with the subject "is it a good time to buy?". 3 days ago, you checked up on the coin again and it has increased by 20%, you were still doubting if its the right time to buy. Today the coin has increased by 50% of the initial price you saw and you are getting more confused. My friend take this from me, in crypto, it always now or never. Happy trading to you all!
There is a good saying which I don't know where it is originated from but it applies globally. "Best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago, second best time is today", it is perfectly describing the time to purchase bitcoin, yeah maybe 20 years ago is a bad example since bitcoin didn't existed however the mindset is great. The best time to buy bitcoin was when it first started, you should have bought bitcoins on 2009, you should have mined it as well, you should have gathered as much as you can.

If you didn't then that is fine, you can buy today as well, buy it whenever you can, buy it when it was 20 thousand dollars, it doesn't matter when as long as you have bitcoin and no need to sell your coin, if you sell it because of trading thoughts then that is wrong, you should keep it as long as you can until you actually need it.
6984  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy btc with cash on: May 29, 2019, 04:22:51 PM
I want to buy some BTC with cash locally, the seller i found says : "send BTC to your wallet. After 1 confirmation On blockchain, collector takes from the table cash."
Is this enough  to be sure i will receive the bitcoin sold me? Or its better to wait for 2 confirmations?
I would say 1 confirmation is more than enough but if you really want to make sure just check out your own wallet and see the money there. If you see the money on your own wallet then there is no need to wait, some wallets accept 1 confirmation but there are plenty of them that wait until 6 confirmations which may take a lot of time but if the seller spends a decent amount of transaction fee then it shouldn't take more than couple hours at most and in which case you can have like a lunch or dinner or whatever together and talk about bitcoin. So, the short version is yes 1 confirmation is enough the long version is wait until you have the coins in your wallet to spend (which could be as much as 6 confirmations). It all depends on how much you trust your wallet and the seller.
6985  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where BTC go on: May 29, 2019, 03:35:50 PM
From here on out? I say it will go up, I don't know how quickly or how high but it will definitely go up. When it does we can talk again because it can't sustain to go up forever, eventually it will have to go down but in order to know when that will happen first we need to go up.

Price will be going up even more in the upcoming days for sure and we are going to break that 10 thousand dollars everyone wants (I think even 12 thousand dollars is quite possible) but aside from that we don't know the far ahead future, like I have no idea what will happen in 5 years, I can tell you June but that is it, even July is really gray right now. If you want to buy in and afraid that it already went up too much, you are not too late, you can still buy bitcoin and put a sell order at 12 thousand dollars and profit.
6986  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Consider the recent rise it is now more important then ever keep the coin secure on: May 29, 2019, 07:45:14 AM
I think you do not really need to mix in banks with crypto, you need to find a decent exchange because as long as the exchange has a friendly connection with the bank you will be fine as well. This allows you to shift the workload to exchange and you do not care about the bank, you can deposit or withdraw from any exchange as long as that exchange has an understanding between them and a bank.

Coinbase works wonders even though it is not the biggest exchange because they have a great friendly connection with banks whereas binance still is not doing fiat trading because they are having trouble with banks, its not about which exchange is better because binance is clearly better than coinbase but its about exchanges having banks in their pocket.
6987  Economy / Speculation / Re: Long term advance notice! on: May 29, 2019, 06:48:59 AM
It doesn't really matter what Craig says, he can do whatever he wants, there is no central organization or person that can stop bitcoin. He can sell all he wants and he can try to blackmail people into switching to his side as long as he wants but in the end when people don't care and don't listen there is nothing he can do.

He can blackmail by fully covering all of transactions creating what could be a problem for the miners but as long as miners keep on believing that not listening to Craig is the most profitable way they will continue mining the way they always do and will have trouble for a while but in the long term still be much more profitable then listening to Craig hence why it is certainly impossible that this will have a long term affect on bitcoin even if it happens.
6988  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10000 is just around the corner it seems. on: May 29, 2019, 03:26:40 AM
I am not doubting bitcoin anymore, I am pretty sure we will see 10 thousand dollars and more in this upcoming June. May is just ending so I don't know if we can rise that quickly in couple of days (which looking at bitcoin and how previous it has managed to increase insanely overnight I think its still doable) but June seems like a good date for it.

I think the most amazing part is that bitcoin lifted all the doubts about it in the recent months. It has been tapping at each resistance and each time people said "maybe this time it won't go any higher" and each time it went even higher and now less and less people doubt about bitcoin breaking all resistance points and increasing higher. 10k will happen very soon and 15k will happen right after that, we are not going to stop until something major stops us.
6989  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your BITCOIN price prediction this year? on: May 29, 2019, 02:53:45 AM
I am lucky to withdraw and deposit at just the right times. I have believed that bitcoin will go up since November, it didn't went up right away but I knew that when Craig sold a lot of coins and dropped the value of bitcoin it was temporary. People still believed the price was above 6 thousand dollars easily but the people who believed that didn't have enough money to invest and increase the price that much, there was a lot of rich people selling and creating a pressure to not increase the price.

We all worked towards getting more and more bitcoins and in the end whales stopped and the moment they stopped we went up. I believe this will continue until whales say they have enough and they start selling again. It could be another 20 thousand dollar rally easily.
6990  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The crypto exchange industry is saturated - Agree or disagree? on: May 28, 2019, 05:55:10 PM
I think we do need that saturated market for the future, I have lived in a not saturated exchange world and its not as sunshines and rainbows like you imagine. When I first started there was not that many places you can buy and sell altcoins, most of the places were usually fiat to bitcoin or bitcoin to fiat which meant that altcoins were a second citizen. Then cryptsy came up and poloniex and bittrex, these are very old but bittrex was not used too much at all and poloniex had very little amount of coins in it. Cryptsy was the place everyone loved and used, like today's binance but back in the day when we had fewer people.

When cryptsy got "hacked" and closed we were left with just two exchanges and a lot of coins missing. Today even if binance is closed we can find a way to comeback much better thanks to all other exchanges.
6991  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: UNDERSTANDING CRYPTO CYCLE on: May 28, 2019, 05:05:10 PM
The "pit" part may take longer than you expect it to. That is the part people often mistake, the "pit" is not a place you drop to then just get out, its a place you drop and try to get out multiple times, countless times and eventually you get out however until that time all those get ups are believed to be "this time we will get out" and each time it turns out to be a fail until one is actually up.

That is the main reason why the pit is the most dangerous place, its the place we all want to buy into because we want to buy bitcoin when its at the bottom and then we want to watch our portfolio go up but unfortunately many people mistake those little tries as bull run and buy a bunch of bitcoin and we keep going lower afterwards. That is why be careful during the pit times as well because buying at peak is not the only danger in this market.
6992  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Rebalance your Cryptocurrency Portfolio on: May 28, 2019, 12:25:17 PM
Regular stock market gurus are almost always against rebalancing. They do not sell one thing to go buy another, they usually sell in order to take profit thinking they got the most out of one thing but usually most hedge fund managers do not sell something that is going up, if its profitable and its making you money then keep it and do not drop your position with it. What you need to do in this scenario is not rebalancing by percentage but by fiat value.

For example, if you have 4 coins with total balance 100 dollars and 25 dollars each, if one goes to 30 dollars keep that, don't sell it, just buy the coin that drop to 20 dollars and add another 10 bucks to it so you have 2 coins that are 30 bucks and your total value is increasing as well, if you can't afford to do that then just keep it still without moving any around. Never touch a coin that is profiting you and move it to something that is not profiting you.
6993  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin transactions costs in the future on: May 27, 2019, 06:35:53 PM
It can never be "free" even the energy evolution of solar energy is not free. Running that place costs money, even if its less than the original ways its still has a operational cost, from salaries of people who run those places to maintenance and stuff we don't know. So it can never be free, it could totally be clean and cheaper but not free. That is one part, on top of that bitcoin miners needs to profit as well, so even if electricity gets really cheap we need to put miners profit on top of that as well and we have a cost at our hands.

Now miners do mine bitcoin in return so that could mean they will be paid in the bitcoins they mine but the transactions could be free but looking at how the halving is getting close I am pretty sure just the bitcoins mined can't be enough, its a possibility but a very low one at that. We already have only 3 million bitcoins left to mine so I doubt it will be feasible but even if it is not going to last too long.
6994  Economy / Economics / Re: Problems In Chinas Economy & Escalating Trade War Will Cause Large Bitcoin Rally on: May 27, 2019, 06:13:43 PM
Hong Kong and China are not totally the same thing and between USA and china trade war plus the early ICO ban and now mining ban china is trying to show that they are very against crypto but that is the government because they want to keep their cash valuable whereas people of china do not agree with the governments stance on this and China is actually losing a lot of income from taxes.

Now I am not entirely sure if this will make bitcoin go up for a long term affect, after all it is already decided and there is a trade war going on and there is an ICO ban for long time now and they did banned mining as well so what else could they do to make bitcoin rally again. However I am pretty sure it will have horrible affects on Chinese yuan which MAY result with bitcoin getting lower by Chinese people selling their btc to live on China that is getting worse.
6995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to choose the ICO project to invest on: May 25, 2019, 07:48:18 AM
I have done very few ICO investments in my life and I am not an expert in anyway or shape but I can tell you that all of my investments came out as something that is legit and never a scam. I have heard so many of my friends invest into scam projects that they lost insane amount of money.

Even nano (raiblock when I invested) which dropped insanely in its price is actually not a scam but just a failed project so I have invested in projects that made me money but invested in stuff that I lost but never invested into something that was a scam.

As long as you find that perfect spot of never investing into scam there is two options, either you are going to wait a lot for a coin to go above the ICO levels you invested or you are profiting and no matter which one you end up with there is a chance you profit in the long term as long as its not a scam.
6996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Has Done me More Good than Harm?what about You? on: May 25, 2019, 07:31:36 AM
Crypto currency literally turned my life around. I used to work in shifts and one day I worked on mornings, one day at evenings and one day at nights, it was changing so quickly that I never really slept that properly ever, I was always tired and sleepy and I didn't had any fun out of life, I might as well be dead at that point and not much would change.

Now, I am working in crypto industry and make my income in bitcoins and I have the full control of my life, thanks to that now I go to bed whenever I want and wake up without an alarm whenever I want and work whenever I want, go to plays and shows and movies and go out for dinner when I want (still not everywhere since its expensive in some places and I am in no way rich) and just basically live the life I want to live without any excuses of why I can't. It has been 3 years since I last quit my job and for the past 3 years I have been super lucky to have crypto in my life.
6997  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy btc with cash on: May 24, 2019, 05:37:55 PM
I want to buy some BTC with cash locally, the seller i found says : "send BTC to your wallet. After 1 confirmation On blockchain, collector takes from the table cash."
Is this enough  to be sure i will receive the bitcoin sold me? Or its better to wait for 2 confirmations?
There are some places that started selling "bitcoin cards" if I am not wrong, they are on some sort of grocery store type places in our country (think of wallmart as a global example) and right on the cashier place there is bitcoin cards just like apple store cards and psn store cards, that seems like a great way to buy bitcoin.

I don't know how they do it and I don't know how it works since I haven't bought it and since the price of bitcoin keeps changing all the time I am not sure how much they are willing to sell it for since if the price goes up they would profit more from just keeping those cards but in the end those type of products will make sure you are making a profit. Bitcoin atm and localbitcoin is still the clear favorites of course in this scenario.
6998  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: do technical actually work on: May 24, 2019, 05:21:29 PM
From my years of experience in bitcoin and the trading world I can clearly say that it works to a point. Some stuff like support levels and resistance levels are really important and they do play a role in the price but some more technical stuff like bollinger band or macd and what do work to an extend but sometimes fail when something unexpected happens.

For example, when a big whale buys a lot or sells a lot there is no technical thing that can predict that. That is why it is quite important to know that you might get a good profit out of doing technical day trading as long as nothing unexpected happens, if everything goes according to the plan then you will make profit and be happy but if something happens that wasn't in your plans then it can go south very easily.
6999  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price and Binance on: May 24, 2019, 05:03:27 PM
Bitcoin has been stale for couple of days now, I do not remember when was the last time we had a 10% day last time because we have reached 8 thousand dollars (and went back down for a bit and got back to 8 thousand but I do not count that as an increase) so I am not sure if binance is somehow related.

Maybe the people who hacked binance finally figured out a way to put that money into some exchange or somewhere and they are starting to sell their coins, it is 7 thousand bitcoins after all and if you sell them all at once you are going to break the market so they are selling it at a stable price in multiple exchanges that keeps the price not going above 8 thousand dollars but not dropping neither, like a cap on the price. If that is the case then we will go back up in price again with a bull rally as soon as their 7 thousand bitcoins are done selling.
7000  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc fork crack smokers on: May 24, 2019, 04:05:28 PM
What do you expect them to do, just give up and let it die? I mean I do agree that including bitcoin cash all other bitcoin hard forks like bitcoin gold or bsv or whatever are all pure trash and they worth nothing more than 1 satoshi each to me, but that is to me, maybe its like that for you.

Nevertheless, we are faced with people who have spent time and effort and probably money on these coins and you are expecting them to just let it go and focus on something else, that is not really that possible at this current stage, they need to keep their hopes alive or they need to face the reality that the coin they put so much effort and money into is actually nothing and worth zero, its hard to make people face that reality and they will deny it until they actually see it happen.
