6981  Economy / Economics / Btc and government, what does the future holds? on: August 29, 2017, 05:47:03 AM
It crossed my mind yesterday and I was thinking what if the government wakes up with an obnoxious law against btc ?
Its trade, exchange and outrightly banning btc usage.
Is this possible?
Do you see this coming?
What do you think & what will happen?
6982  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin provide income on line? on: August 28, 2017, 10:40:58 PM
Yeah ,bitcoin is helping people out financially by being paid for the services rendered by posting on a campaign. It is genuinely creating wealth for both employed and unemployed, rich nor poor. It doesn't segregate so long you buy into it.
6983  Economy / Economics / Re: Most people dont even know what this is yet. on: August 28, 2017, 02:56:01 PM
Is a fact that large percentage of the world population barely know or have heard about btc talk more of other promising crytos. Imagine where the awareness become known & governments, corporations & other groups begin to demand for it in exchange for goods & services.
People who don't know your story now, would think you did some kind of shady deals when you start swimming in mega cash, & it is very possible in the very near future.
6984  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Is Bitcoin's Value So Volatile? on: August 28, 2017, 11:34:36 AM
I should've buy the bitcoin last month now it's  price is all time high. Shocked

Smiles... This is what it seems when fear overrides reason.

Fear to take a  risk is one factor that sets wealthy people from poor people.
6985  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin now the strongest currency in the world? on: August 28, 2017, 08:32:33 AM
In my view, can we talk about btc being the strongest when it has not gained the pride of place. As we know that one of the qualities of paper money called legal tender in some jurisdiction,  is that it must be generally accepted in that locality or country as the case maybe. Thus, for btc to be compared as the strongest currency, I think for now — needs a lot of time. This is because, it also has to be generally accepted globally as we know of paper monies.
For value, we could say that because wetin a twinkle of an eye, one can be made a billionaire with btc.
Btc is a digital currency & doing excellently well.

6987  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible for the bitcoin to lose it's value ? on: August 27, 2017, 11:21:23 PM
The thing you called as calue comes from the demand of the market. If the demand breaks down and people start to sell their bitcoins, the market cap would collapse. Everything is possible in cryptocurrency world.
Hi , I'm new so basically I still have a lot to learn about the cryptocurrency , but I would like to know if it would be possible for the bitcoin to start the downfall ? I mean like what scenario can happen that the bitcoin would be pushed back like 5-6 years ?
Sorry if my post is in the wrong place or it's not relevant.

Of course that the probability of bitcoin to change its value is always 1, because the price/value of bitcoin changes every time and never is stable.

Check now and check for the past month this year and you can see how unstable the price was, if it is possible to lose its value then it has the potential to increase its value too.

There will happen some correction of the price of course but more and more big investors are investing in bitcoin and this is one of the reason of the high price that we see now.

True that it isn't a stable market but so far it has been on uptrend in a reasonable time now.
Speculation drives the btc market most of the time.
6988  Economy / Economics / Re: If you were in desperate need for money.... on: August 27, 2017, 09:55:06 PM
I don't think there is a problem without solution & every contributor has said one positive solution or the other.
For me while in such need, I would avoid taking a decision that will be detrimental to me in the future.
6989  Economy / Economics / Re: Will third world country hold their foreign reserve in bitcoin against Dollar? on: August 26, 2017, 07:52:29 PM
That is not visible since governments have not started such spending with btc, thus, it is very risky.
Reserves in bitcoin isnt visible for now.
6990  Economy / Economics / Re: lest we forget, Bitcoin is a blessing. on: August 25, 2017, 08:18:15 AM
Blessing to people who have keyed in & ripping from it already.
There are people who have keyed in but have not started ripping but hopeful while there are also people who have not heard of it, others don't know how to go about it & another group would never go off paper money, they are scared, can't take a risk. This group don't mind being where they are, they are called traditionalist.
6991  Economy / Economics / Re: Diversifying? on: August 24, 2017, 10:51:40 PM
Diversifying is nice be you don't put your eggs in one basket.
And, leaving the cryto market would help incase of any future collapse. Nothing is constant.
6992  Economy / Economics / Re: If you have a lot of bitcoin, should you spend it or save it? on: August 24, 2017, 10:33:49 PM
You can't be hungry while you have some bitcoins to covert.
So, is both ways. Is better to save for rainy day if you have what to sustain you otherwise, you can't save when you need to be helped. Hence, investing your bitcoin is cool.
6993  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC as a national currency? on: August 23, 2017, 11:03:45 PM
It will really be fascinating . The first introduction would really take that particular country like storm, people would initially find it difficult to acclimatize. Enough orientation would go in, confidence would need to be built vis -a - vis / security of the currency and overall ,looting by the government won't start immediately. This I foresee.
6994  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: August 23, 2017, 04:47:06 PM
I don't think that paper money will ever be out of use. Governments need it as a manipulative tool. It's as simple as that

I think there is nothing that is impossible since the only thing that  remains constant is change.
Do we still remember that cowries was used in recent past?
6995  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the ticket to heaven ... on: August 22, 2017, 02:04:46 PM
Bitcoin is a ticket wherever you go. Thanks to him you can earn a lot of money without much effort and buy everything you need including a ticket to any point of our planet or galaxy.

Agreed but definitely not heaven.

What makes one a candidate of heaven isn't the amount of money you have but how you embrace the alfa & omega.

Do we still remember the story of the rich man in the bible?
Bitcoin isnt there yet. It isn't yet a ticket anywhere you go here on earth let alone heaven. I guess OP mere wrote figuratively on the kind of ecstacy the knowledge or experience of having Bitcoin gives. The joy that comes with knowing Bitcoin which one can't even feel is fiat is endless.
6996  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people hate? on: August 17, 2017, 10:26:53 PM
Hating could be from envy. When people don't seem to achieve like the other man, they may resort to hating. It also could be as a result of attitudinal dislike for someone .
6997  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you think believe and faith is same ? on: August 17, 2017, 10:17:30 PM
They are distinct from each other. Thus, belief is an idea that one holds dearly while faith is the believe in the substance not seen.
6998  Other / Off-topic / Re: What will the world be like in 100 years on: August 17, 2017, 10:10:50 PM
Oh! that....

I remember the year 2000 , and this is 17years ago. 17years from the year 2000 witnessed tremendous growth in technology which is driving the earth & beyond now.

I can't imagine 100years from now what could be unboard.

Thats thoughtful....
6999  Other / Politics & Society / Re: HOW MEDIA SHAPED THE GENERATIONS on: August 16, 2017, 10:59:48 PM
The shaping of the generation by media is in different forms, some positive and others negative.

On the one hand, it has led to immorality, corruption etc. It has also introduced the emergence of quick & very fast information dissemination.

It has brought a whole lot of new culture .
7000  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is God male or female? on: August 16, 2017, 08:07:29 PM
I never thought about this before, but God has no gender. Even if it has a gender, no one knows it because no one will ever see it. The most important thing for us as human beings is to continue to believe in Him and to worship Him.

Yeap, the book of Hebrew instructs Christians to have faith in the things not seen as regards the word of God. It then means, God envisage that humans would have some doubt. Thus, we are to keep believing. But did the bible not record that he made us in his image too?
