701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Gold : Make Bitcoin Decentralized Again on: November 12, 2017, 03:20:44 PM
Bitcoin Gold has huge potential. looking at what happened with Bicoin Cash recent days.
Since I am also a Bitcoin Gold holder, I don't mean to be against you.
But BTG is quite different from BCH. Its purpose is to make Bitcoin mining decentralized again.

Mining decentralized again? Maybe in the beginning, until greed kicks in. Crypto has become a money grab, it hasn't turned out how Satoshi envisioned, IMHO.

Big difference the mining hardware is freely available to the general public

You know that ASIC the one like bitmain sell you for say $1500 that you need to recoup guess how much it costs them to manufacture I can bet its a fraction of the cost then they use it

If a big miner wants to mine on a GPU optimised algorithm then they have to buy the same stuff as everyone else that then needs to be recouped yes they may have a slight advantage in electricity costs and bulk purchases but do you think antpool would be as big as they are today if they had to buy all those ASIC miners from someone else for a huge markup over manufacturing themselves

I am marveled at Roger Ver's manipulation and what the quality P&D scheme it is. People buying bch with btc are blindly fooled or very high risk accepting speculants.

It's going to be a hard lesson for some but one that needs to be taught otherwise they won't ever learn

After the Fork we will see the biggest dump on bch...

It will be interesting to see how the new DAA will handle this huge profitability swing coming up and to say the fork is happening tomorrow there are still quite a lot of nodes running a non compatible version

BCH up to $2860 then down.

BTC down to $5151 then up.

Happened whilst i was sleeping. Grin Grin Grin

I went to bed and woke up to the same value if it was not for looking I would have never believed it reached so high now its on a downward trend but won't do down as fast as those that bought so high won't be wanting to sell at such a huge loss but probably best to take your losses and don't fall for this trap again

Really profiting investing in BCH...

So is investing in MLM schemes for the first movers but the last movers maybe not so much with many ending up bankrupt by greed

Wow, what a pump.
The BCH 24h volume is even higher than BTC ($11.461.600.000 vs. $8.481.240.000).
BCC surpassed ETH and is currently the 2nd most valuable cryptocurrency.
Bithumb down and some other exchanges were also temporarily down.

I am curious what will happen next, don't get burned.

Hey guys, I read that Roger VER is the biggest supporter?
I thought he is supporter of BTU? He changed his opinion?

BTU was his coin and it died so this is the next victim

Well that was fast decided to finally test out a Bitcoin cash wallet
Sent and recieved in 5 mins with 3 confirms
Hmm works fine to me
As i know bitcoin cash raised the block size limit to 8 MB as part of a massive on-chain scaling approach. So there is ample capacity for everyone's transactions, that's why transaction is fast

It's nothing to do with blocksize the blocks could be 500k and it would be just as fast with the current transaction throughput it's just miner manipulation that is what this fork tomorrow is for to try and fix this

will the fork really happen? i thought segwitx2x team had abandoned this...

No this is a different fork more like a bugfix from the same dev that released the current broken difficulty algorithm

10.0 satoshi = USD $0.0006308110 BTW

This was a crazy run of Bitcoin Cash during the last week. A lot of people make very huge profits, but it also think a dump will come very soon. Maybe we go back to 800 dollar, before rising again.

Do you even read the news bro? Seriously, its the flippening that we will talk about years from now.

Is this the same flippening you was all talking about 3 months ago or a new one so for asking a stupid question but ive lived through so many flippenings not ive lost track
716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: November 11, 2017, 11:39:04 PM
it is amazing how this pump is created...evertime when btc goes down bch goes up..and btc goes up bch goes down at the same moments..whales take they profit and goes to the other coin to make their fast the profit..and go one.. very dangerous

It's at the most dangerous point now value has stabilised this is usually the calm before storm and can be at a ATH one minute and dumped right back to <$400 the next
717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: November 11, 2017, 11:12:44 PM

Yea must be well under $50 now I heard it would be right here

tek I admire your conviction and you seem like a nice guy. Please get out of that BTG soon bro, it's sooo scammy.

And what makes it any different to BCH ? and why so concerned all of a sudden ive netted profit from both BCH and BTG since I bought a bit of BCH recently for around $400 with a bit of BTC when it was just over $7000 and sold the BCH at $1200 then used that to buy some BTG at $170 and still have it now

I still own over 90% in BTC though

I trust the value of BTG much more than BCH since there are no big players trying to fake the price I have had a good look over the code and all seems good, Ive been running on testnet for a bit with no issues, I have actually tested things myself and not just relying on someone saying don't worry you can trust us

Well first off BTG doesn't have a blockchain, last I checked. So you're just trading some garbage futures on a coin that doesn't exist...  Second, there is a 20% premine for the devs - that dilutes the value and sets up a massive incentive for market rigging. Third, the market cap is zero because there is no coin, yet futures volume is $174 million. Any guesses as to how much of that $174 mil is real money? I'm guessing somewhere in the range of ZERO.

No big players trying to fake the price? Are you effing joking?

Shall I continue?

1. Testnet is real and active now for user, wallet, pool and dev testing and mainnet will be live in < 20 hours
2. No idea where you pulled that 20% premine from its 8000 blocks or ~0.5% (keep in mind that BCH is now > 9050 blocks mined so the premine is lower that BCH has hypermined)
3. The marketcap is 0 until mainnet goes live tomorrow then it will jump straight into the top5 by marketcap
4. That 174 Million is daily traded futures that will then be able to be withdrawn on the actual blockchain (Bcash daily was ~144 Million on release)

Astonishing rise, but I cannot find what is the reason why it rise (except Segwit 2x cancellation - I don't think is sufficient cause)
Is there any big news, or it is another pump & dump?

I think Bitcoin will remain top price thanks to big money, but I am really curious if bch could keep 1000+ levels

That is interesting to watch how long it will remain above $1k at the moment there is no solid reason behind this. Time will decide about the people who are buying at this price.

1. From the amount of questions that are getting asked about the fork and getting extra coins could be one reason many are expecting to double up
2. Roger is selling the rest of his Bitcoin to buy Bitcoin Cash
3. The Segwit2x crowd see this as the next best option

Thats about it take your pick but probably a combination of all 3 either way it won't last and when it does dump it will go HARD

I think you are correct.

Interesting how much BTG is pumping now as well.  Went from $140 to over $600 in 24 hours     Shocked

Depends where you saw it over $600 on CMC most I saw was just over $500 but not looked on the individual exchanges although should get a better representation next weekend after its been live a week but should see a small initial dump over the next couple of days

Nice explanation,
It would be so weird if something other beat coin (xD hah, what a funny coincidence), with   support of Axa company etc (I mean Bitcoin Core)
but even it is a only pump, it could not stop at ~1400usd) .
However, I am afraid on chain scalling is impossible to implement in mainstream..

It is if you want a true cashless society its ok trying to compete with visa but can you compete with visa, mastercard, amex and all other payment processors as well as the huge volume that cannabises all these like actually using notes and coins in the street and between friends and family and expect to keep this all on chain
