701  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russian, Chinese, Korean Associations to Sue Internet Giants Over Banned Crypto on: March 29, 2018, 07:41:51 PM
It is a good case, it is illegal to collaborate with other big parties to form a monopoly. Banning ICO ads completely without even allowing the good ones is discrimination. A loss of earnings because of this should ensure they are sued and forced to reinstate the ads
702  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Only 16.7 million Bitcoins in circulation? on: March 29, 2018, 04:42:41 PM
Everyone can buy bitcoin, it will be traded in smaller denominations called satoshis (fractions of bitcoin). Based on the world population you can see that demand will outstrip supply so buying now at these low prices is one of the best investments available. USD is endless like all other cash currencies.
703  Other / Meta / Re: what is actually our mission in the bitcointalk forum on: March 29, 2018, 04:39:51 PM
The same as every other forum, i.e. to spread the word about the chosen subject and help those who have questions about it. Bitcointalk is the best place to learn about bitcoin as it was started by the founder him/herself - satoshi! Now it has grown to include other crypto and it will keep growing I am sure.
704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I just go commit suicide? on: March 28, 2018, 10:26:42 PM
Ethereum is a safe option, don't worry it will grow back up again. It is slow progress because a lot of ICOs are cashing out right now but rest assured that when the bulls are back ETH will rise. NEO would have been a better option, but eth is still good anyway
705  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Friends Buy BTC and Help it Take Down The Wall at 9000 on: March 27, 2018, 07:44:44 PM
There must be some instructions by a series of sellers to sell bitcoin when it hits $9000. Once they're done dumping their coins we should break past the barrier and move upwards from there. People need to realise that selling after a few months would give even more profits!
706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Competitor of Ethereum on: March 27, 2018, 07:38:24 PM
Apart from NEO most of these so called competitors are miles away from releasing a working product. LISK will release an improved version of ethereum later this year with ICOs and DAPPS running along their sidechains, and in a language most people already know i.e. javascript.
707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I need to double 4,000 USD in 2 weeks on: March 27, 2018, 05:13:11 PM
You are in luck, if you invest in XSPEC you will double your coins as they are going to fork the network so you will have equal amounts of coins in 2 currencies. If you have 100 xspec then you will receive 100 in WISP. Not bad for holding 1 coin Wink
708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China to legalize ICOs on: March 27, 2018, 05:09:45 PM
Good news if it is true, nothing wrong with regulating ICOs as there are too many scammers around these days. One platform that will benefit is NEO which will launch a wave of ICOs in China. Good time to invest while it is cheap
709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone investing in LCCX (UK Exchange) on: March 27, 2018, 04:56:54 PM
This is definitely worth investing in. There isn't a well established exchange like binance in western Europe so getting one setup in London would be great and very successful. If they're as good as the BNB coins then these are a worthy investment.
710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ERC20 Tokens Surge Ahead of New Coinbase Listings on: March 27, 2018, 04:49:34 PM
This is a better way to tell the public about an up and coming release. The bosses can then just release the coin straight away without the possibility of insider trading. It will probably happen though, just check the graphs and see a quick spike before the official release.
711  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Media is negative about Bitcoin? on: March 27, 2018, 04:37:38 PM
Media has a job to sell news and it depends on whether the journalists are already invested in bitcoin as they will either pump the story with good news, or get annoyed at missing out and therefore fill it with FUD to price it back down to affordable levels!
712  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter banned cryptocurrencies Ads on: March 27, 2018, 04:29:43 PM
I don't think it will have a negative impact, not many people look at these ads anyway. Most people who are interested in crypto will simply follow the coin that they are interested in and see ads that they would see on other websites.
713  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SELL YOUR ALTCOINS! BITCOIN WILL DOMINATE THE MARKET! on: March 26, 2018, 10:06:02 PM
I would have believed all of this until binance decided to accept USD which will destroy bitcoins dominance and allow altcoins to flourish. Demand for bitcoin may reduce as it won't be needed to convert money into altcoins and vice versa.
714  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is Bitcoin used to extort people? on: March 26, 2018, 10:02:47 PM
I think dark uses of bitcoin are going to continue but not rise significantly. There are more privacy focused coins that they can use, and it seems monero is the weapon of choice. I think bitcoin will continue as ransomware however as it is easier to buy via coinbase
715  Economy / Speculation / Re: how to predict bitcoin in april on: March 26, 2018, 09:58:52 PM
This year seems more difficult to predict but historically April is the start of a bull run. Early April I don't see much change, same up and down but nothing major. However, end of April will see a more significant rise before FOMO kicks in as usual and everyone joins in the summer rush
716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TRX being dumped daily by a Market Maker! on: March 26, 2018, 04:46:04 PM
This is the same problem with bitcoin and the mt gox debacle. Someone with a huge stash just waiting to sell off and crashing the market in the process. It is worth keeping an eye on that trx wallet, he is going to sell during this rumour as he knows buy pressure is high during this time.
717  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which big company will adopt bitcoin first? and why? on: March 23, 2018, 11:14:06 PM
Amazon will probably be the first, I doubt they will allow direct retail transactions but they might use their own version of bitpay converting bitcoin to fiat. For direct bitcoin payments perhaps their cloud servers will accept it as some are used for crypto mining anyway Grin
718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Offset Bitcoin — Just $8.5 Million Could Make Bitcoin Carbon Neutral on: March 22, 2018, 05:16:20 PM
It's a good cause to try and reduce the carbon footprint of bitcoin mining. There is a lot of negativity about the waste of electricity just to crunch some numbers and in many cases use more electricity to cool them down. Some are using renewable fuel which is more environmentally friendly and also cheaper in some cases like biofuel.
719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you support the Use of Bitcoin as a National Currency? on: March 22, 2018, 05:07:35 PM
It would be too risky for governments to put a foreign form of payment as their national currency. They need something that they can control, even if it means creating their own version of bitcoin. However accepting it as legal tender would be great to supplement the economy and maintain growth.
720  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon Will Accept Bitcoin Speculation on: March 21, 2018, 07:39:45 PM
I think they will eventually but not yet. Price is too unstable, but eventually they will either create their own token / coin or simply accept bitcoin like everyone else. If they do it will start with their cloud services rather than retail side, that will be too big a leap.
