701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: July 25, 2016, 07:55:33 AM
Very strong sentiment even in https://www.reddit.com/r/ethereum/

Wait until ethf has to fork again, vitalik gets a court order, etc. ETC is immune and will function forever with no centralization.
702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: July 25, 2016, 07:52:42 AM
I got a reply from Tayvano @ MyEtherWallet. Unlike Shapeshift and Poloniex and nanopool, "We are not supporting eth classic"

not even a regards...

I don't understand why people have such blinkered view and abandon etiquette when the world refuses to be the way they want it to be.

Looking forward to Claymore dual miner ETC and ETH  Cheesy

ETC hashrate still climbing though  Shocked

That wallet can easily be forked over on github if someone is familiar with setting the chain
703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: July 25, 2016, 07:24:13 AM
ETC is only getting started. We're all stacking while the price is low.
704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: July 25, 2016, 07:17:09 AM

706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: July 25, 2016, 03:15:07 AM
Nanopool opened ETC pool.
Now you can mine Ethereum Classic with us!

http://etc.nanopool.org

Added, I can't vouch for any of the pools, be careful
707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: July 25, 2016, 02:39:14 AM
As a major etc holder im sure i can ask if you plan on forking before the dao hacker receives his coins or after?

You can ask even if you aren't the imaginary "holder". But what difference does it make? Whenever it gets forked you can choose whichever fork you prefer. That's how crypto works, not by Vitalik's decree.

wake up m8...to be given a large qauntity of coin for free on an exchange is not goood for the coin.
wait till the etc miners and noobs that paid real $ for etc begin dumping, lol where is the buy support gona come from?
if it does go up a bit in price, there is 80mill+ coins that people got for free ready to dump on y'all

Keep talking pumpy, you still fail to fill my orders
708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: July 25, 2016, 02:37:52 AM
Is http://pool.ethereumclassic.com/ legit?
709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: July 25, 2016, 02:33:12 AM
So this ETC holders continuing the old block chain also preserved their forked ETH? They multiplied their ETH by 2x?
If this is true then your ETC doesnt sounds legit.

No ethf isn't legit, etc is the true original chain

You are not legit supporting a scammer who hacked DAO holders.
Yes supporting because the no-action equals support.

Wrong we're following the law, code is law. The ONLY value of a blockchain and smart contracts.
710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: July 25, 2016, 02:32:48 AM
My etc synced in an hour

There is no dao fork ever
711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: July 25, 2016, 02:28:34 AM
Well its been over 24 hours and the price still hasn't crashed. Many people just sold their "free" ETC balance and price still held up. Must be a major player buying up all this. Maybe its the Chinese.

Very bullish indicator.

People bought a fuck load last night including me

@Bitpoop
i dont know why your trying to delete the fact that etc will need to FORK for dapps to work and prob die when Metropolis comes out.

You're just fudding

no its the truth..tell me where im wrong please?

we'll fork when it's needed if no balances are changed, what's the problem? You haven't stated a problem

What's the dao have to do with forking?

Ethereum Classic is, in my view, a total and absolute scam by any traditional financial definition of the word “scam.”

The only scam is forking away the only reason to have a blockchain and smart contracts, ethf is a centralized shitcoin

The true ethereum continues at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1559630.0
717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: July 25, 2016, 01:50:48 AM
BTC and ETC are the only future.
718  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: July 25, 2016, 01:34:01 AM
Really glad to see support for ETC taking off! Not only have we saved the true, immutable ETH blockchain, but we've ripped the BTC hard-fork-at-any-cost camp's arguments to shreds.

Good times! Cheesy

Blockchains are inherently decentralized - immutability and aversion to attack and persuasion is the security methodology this is why we are all here in the first place my friend.  Cool

true bitcoiners are immutability freaks.

you dont wanna give them the opportunity to drive a speculative attack once you breach the immutability of any alleged system.

bitcoin rules. shitcoin dies.  Cool

Exactly exactly why I'm here

can someone tell me what i need to fill in on nicehash for mining this on ethc.pool ?

filled in something like this
stratum+tcp://uk1.epool.io:8008

and in username i put my wallet address but what to do next?password x ? i cant get a pool connection

Looks like the chain is under attack.
The pools having problems accepting all packets.

This might be the result of DDoS and mining attacks.

This coin will probably fork to shit too..

ah ok but can u tell me a full line for nicehash to mine etc

You can't mine with nicehash on that pool same for my pool is not compatible with nicehash

ok that would answer my question Cheesy
thanks

what about mrr rigs?

mrr is working but all the rigs from mrr are rented right now lol

EDIT: bitpop can you pls add my pool to the op https://ethc.coin-miners.info/#/

Done

We have mining pools supporting Ethereum Classic:

http://ethc.epool.io
http://pool.ethereumclassic.com - might be a scam
