701  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: MtGox OKPay Withdrawal Delay on: April 08, 2013, 11:25:16 AM
In your experiences, how long does a normal USD withdrawal usually take from MtGox to OKPAY?

Usually it takes just few minutes unless you send it at friday night (or was it coincidence?). Want to make arbitraging with btc-e, lol?

Btw, they have an affiliate program, here is my referral link: https://www.okpay.com/?rbp=arsenische Wink

Hm... looks like it doesn't take minutes anymore... I don't know how to estimate withdrawal time.

What are the fees on okpay withdrawal on mtgox?

Frankly speaking I am not quite sure how fees are calculated, but when you withdraw $1000 from mtgox, you get ~$987 on your OKPay account.

Btw, my withdrawal got executed. Probably it was delayed due to weekend.

Hi,

Although the no fee no minimum payout is nice in a way, I just received a payout of 1 satoshi (I think this is how we refer to 10^-8 BTC), which will clearly cost me a lot more to spend than what it's worth. It's not the first tiny payout I've received, although usually they were at least in the 100-ish satoshis. Something should really be done about that, all the more so since they'll likely become more frequent with the raise in BTC value.
How also about, for instance:
- pooling payouts from different ad units sharing the same BTC address
- not making payouts more frequently than once every 7 or even 14 days if balance is below 0.01 BTC (or maybe 0.001 BTC if 0.01 is too unbearable to some people)

Good ideas. Probably it would be nice to allow users to customize it. Thanks for your feedback!
705  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: MtGox OKPay Withdrawal Delay on: April 07, 2013, 04:15:36 PM
So did you receive the payment? How long did it take? Seems I have a similar issue (though not 72 hours yet).
706  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC-E vs Mt.GOX ... List price .. I don't get it. on: April 06, 2013, 10:07:13 PM
But how can this work, if I sell for example at 11PM at Mt.Gox for 142$ (meanwhile at BTC-E the price is at 132$) and then I send the $ over some different Exchanges to BTC-E to buy there new Bitcoins. I may donīt need any time, but after buying the Bitcoins there for about lets say also 132$ and try to send them to Mt.Gox, they need about 3 hours to validate. What happens if the price is falling there to 120$? Then you loose. How could then arbitrage-trading a possibility at Bitcoin-environment if there such large delays for validating each transaction?

You can have reserves on all the exchanges, that will allow you to execute orders in opposite directions simultaneously... And after that you transfer funds and wait for 3 hours... and then do it again, etc.

The password is shown only once upon campaign creation.

I've just created another campaign, carefully inspecting each page... Haven't seen password. If it is there, you have hidden it well.

Can you, like, show a screenshot with a big red arrow pointing to a password?

Sure, here it is:

Can I set daily budget to zero and reward only particular ad unit, or it needs to be a positive value?

You can set zero budget. If your balance is untouched during 30 days, it will be refunded to your refund address.

Quote
BTW, what happens if I click deauthorize? Will balance be refunded after some time?

Your balance will be automatically refunded only if it is not touched for 30 days and your daily budget is 0. Deathorize = Logout (probably we need to rename it).

Thank you too! Anonymous Ads seem to be about order of magnitude more cost effective than CoinURL. Is that because of its limited size?

I am not sure what you mean when you say about cost effectiveness, but maybe the answer is that we don't pay per click.
708  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: AnonymousAds v2 -- Searching for advertisers that reward publishers for sales on: April 04, 2013, 10:55:47 AM
Where the fuck is password? I've registered new ad/new campaign and I see no way to get or set password... But it asks for a password to create a goal.

The password is shown only once upon campaign creation. AnonymousAds doesn't provide a way to recover/change password, but you can create a new campaign for the same ad and register goal for that campaign. You can also use API to automate goal creation.

Also I can reset a password for you, please PM me if you need it.

Thanks for using AnonymousAds!
709  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MtGox bitcoin deposit delay? on: April 03, 2013, 04:42:27 PM
So if someone wants to pump bitcoin's price, s/he can DDOS mtgox's network thus blocking deposits and creating deficit of bitcoins on stock. Good to know.

I get "Database access error, please retry later".. hmm
712  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MtGox bitcoin deposit delay? on: April 03, 2013, 01:24:23 PM
Is anyone else having trouble depositing bitcoins to Mt Gox right now? My deposit has over 14 confirmations and still doesn't show in my account.

On their blog, they wrote about a similar issue on March 20 and it's marked as RESOLVED yet it seems this is the same issue as that day.

How long did it take them to resolve the issue when it occurred on March 20?

I had the same problem, eventually it appeared on my account... Immediately after the fall from $145... coincidence?

Probably many wanted to sell at that price but could not due to slowdown... and when their bitcoins arrived, the price dropped.
713  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Bubble on: March 29, 2013, 08:56:57 AM
how do you know about 6000000 bitcoins lost?
714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple XRP market is now "officially" tracked by Bitcoincharts.com on: March 29, 2013, 02:56:44 AM
Sorry for noob question, but how do you actually trade XRP? Are there any gateways?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not criticizing, just trying to understand.

I appreciate the service and I also appreciate that you're actively responsive on here to my questions Smiley

Thanks for your feedback Smiley

PS: criticism is welcome too

So looking at the two stat pages you linked above, it seemed like #312 was performing better before I switched the layout around on March 17th. So maybe I should be switching things back?

I don't know. What is your criteria of better performance? If you are talking about profits, then, as I said, profits are not much affected by amount of ads embedded on your page, because there is no enough advertisers that pay per sale and AA just rewards you for unique impressions...

If your page contains 2 ad units, impressions of ad unit that loads first can be counted as unique, but impressions of other ad units on that page wont' be unique in terms of AA. Unique impression is a globally unique IP during 24hour period. It is done this way to limit the incentive for non-diligent publishers without banning them.

I hope more advertisers pay per sale in future, and then amount of unique impressions will become irrelevant, and you'll be able to measure performance by comparing earnings from goals (currently they are 0 for both of your ad units).

We welcome advertisers that want to integrate with our Goal Tracking API to reward publishers per sale: we can offer free integration and advertising discounts. This all is not well documented, but we are working on that.
717  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Anonymous Ads - bitcoin advertising network [migration to v.2] on: March 27, 2013, 04:56:03 PM
I have two ad units #312 and #1229 that are active on my page. One is a horizontal banner and one is a tower. Both are active on the site, but looking at these links:
https://a-ads.com/catalog?ad_unit_id=1229&target_type=AdUnit&partner=1229
https://a-ads.com/catalog?ad_unit_id=312&target_type=AdUnit&partner=312

The number of impressions is drastically different. Am I doing something wrong in my implementation? Should I not be running two different types of ads on the same page? If so, which one would be the more advantageous one to keep?

Thanks for your question. The reason is that we show only unique impressions to advertisers (i. e. globally unique IPs for the whole network during 24h period). You can see non-unique impressions here:

You can run as many ads on the same page as you want. Embedding several ad units on the same page should somehow increase your income, but not much.

Ideally more ads you have -> more buyers you attract to advertisers -> more income you have. Absolute amount of unique impressions should not be relevant.

But it works only when both conditions are satisfied:
1) publishers send buyers to advertisers.
2) advertisers pay per sale.

Currently it is not the case. According to current stats only <10% of earnings come from goals.

So currently we need to distribute significant part of money paid by advertisers somehow, and we use a number of globally unique impressions as one of the important criteria.

I know we need to document all this in detail. We are working to attract more advertisers that pay per sale. We offer discounts and free integration with our Goal Tracking API to such advertisers.
718  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Automated bitcoin arbitrage on: March 26, 2013, 08:19:11 PM
DobZombie, great work!

But why did you share the code? I think more competitors => less arbitraging possibilities. Or am I wrong?

I hope the CEO Danijel Habek can provide some update of this business. There are no news from this company since its last dividend in January 2013. Shares liquidity is almost none  Embarrassed I am investing in this company for a long term, but I would really like to see some news on the company latest development. I can see that the website is up now with some minor bug. At least provide a quarterly update to the investors  Angry

720  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Anonymous Ads - bitcoin advertising network [migration to v.2] on: March 25, 2013, 07:57:12 AM
But AnonymousAds doesn't profit for me... sadly, couse it's the only real usable Bitcoin AD Network :/

Thank you for using Anonymous Ads and for your feedback!

Do you mean that your advertising campaign was not successful and didn't bring new buyers to you?

I saw your daily budget was 0.25 btc. Maybe it would be a good idea to make a lower daily budget, because you get cheaper impressions if you are not in hurry (you can see how estimates change when you change the number).

AnonymousAds's success depends on success of our advertisers. Please PM me to discuss various options of how to achieve it.
