I have no problem with the reduction to 15%. Only because the last thing we need right now is excessive inflation.
Lets face it. Altcoins are not doing so hot. I'll be happy if Mint survives this holocaust let alone worry about the reduction.

To those who are still here and are not willing to come to Slack, you do not matter. There are big enterprises out there in need of technology like this. You are here looking to make a quick buck.
You represent such a tiny percentage of the target market for this technology, such that you are significantly insignificant.
Contemplate that for awhile.

Updated the buntu 64 bit wallet. Flashed it up. Synced up nicely. All seems normal. Glad I did not have to download blockchain again.

Bittrex, CCex, and Poloniex are bad for listing coins on a whim and delisting them when volumes drop. Best thing to do is avoid them.
AFAIK, Btc-e and Cryptsy are the only ones who don't leave their customers high and dry. Btc-e gets a lot of flack over their selection of altcoins but at least you know you can trade them tomorrow, next week, and next month.

Polo does clean house occasionally. They will not take your delisted coins. I still have delisted coins there from months ago and they can still be withdrawn. So I do give Polo credit for this.
It just pisses me off to no end when any exchange delists a "good" coin. I'll specify "good" only because the shitcoins should never have been listed in the first place.
Exchanges have to bear the brunt for the current state of altcoin affairs. Had they not listed every Tom,Dick,&Harry's coin that came along maybe the altcoin market would not be as dismal as it is now.
Let's face it. Delisting a coin effectively delivers a death blow to the coin and those investments made by the exchange's customers.

I wouldn't worry at all about Poloniex. They are the most trustworthy exchange in my opinion and I don't think there's much competition for that title.
Just submit a ticket or go on IRC and get some assistance. They always come through. They even fully paid back people from when the security issue back earlier this year. How often have you seen that happen? Most of the time in this space people just disappear.

I would think there would be a selloff rather than buying. People need fiat for all those gifts.
This makes sense but btc always surprises with unpredictability. Logically, we should expect the price to drop more and remain down till Feb. March. Once the holiday bills are paid people will, hopefully, start reinvesting. |
