701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: My rig freezes when mining eth on: September 02, 2020, 03:32:51 PM
I got 87-97w per card, how could it be the power supply deficiency is the reason why my rig was freezing, I also tried to change risers, usb cable, riser power cable etc, but i have the same problem, by the way I already use my cards a year ago, but Im only using it for lessthan 5 months then I was decided to stop and dissembling my rigs.
702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Rx 570 8gb strix MOD bios on: September 02, 2020, 10:56:40 AM
do you have a sample of a command line for this vios mode? I am using Phonix miner v 5.0e I only got 29MH for my Sapphire Nitro Plus RX 570 8gb, I know there is a way to increase my hash power, and also my miner always crash in every hour of running sometime my rig lagged. I hope you will share the good command line. Thanks

this is my Sapphire RX 570 8GB modded bios gives

1106/2100
812mV
30.48 MH/s
75 W

That's great, i didn't get that kind of hash in my 570 8gb I only got 28.9MH, if you have a copy of your mode kindly share it to me, oh by the way if you have also an asus strix rx 570 4gb it would be grat if you share it here. Thanks

706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: My rig freezes when mining eth on: August 31, 2020, 08:14:26 AM
And psu can now handle the load.

as a rule of thumb 60% on an atx works well 24/7/365. and 1300 x .60 = 680 watts.

Just realized that 1300 x.6 is 780 watts

Anyway, I kept changing the voltage down to 875mV for both core and memory and it is still stable.
How much is it safe to downvolt?, I don't dare to put any lower value.

I don't think its your PSU. If you want to eliminate your PSU as the culprit just run the miner with reduced intensity, basically run it at 50% and see if it runs then. It will use less power and you can see if its your issue or not.

Try what I suggested and get your motherboard manual and find out about the available lanes on your PCIe slots.

Do you think that the problem of freezing rig is not a pSU related problem? In my experience I've cleaned my mobo with cleaners then I also tried the randomly change my riser slot to my pcie but the problem remains.

I also believe in the success of bitcoin forks. Many of them are highly versatile cryptocurrencies and have a very good chance of success with investors.

As to BTC forks, recently, like in the last year or so...er...no....that ship has sailed IMHO.

If you do know of any, let me know, but BTC forks are completely out of favor now...and provide nothing in the way of return.

brad

I don't think forks are history. Many promising forks are also planned this year. For example, I read on Twitter that Ripple is scheduled to fork. Given the capitalization and mega-community of the XRP coin, I think it will be a big influx of money into the market. There are also some more promising forks.

As far as my knowledge concern, fork is made just to correct or to enhance the current code and platform of one's coin project, like BTC2 the dev team saw the flaws of Bitcoin then they made the fork just to add enhancement and some very useful features to it.

I hope ypu will also develop for AMD cards, and kindly look at the other side of the 2 miner here like Claymore and Phoenix and fix the flaw of this 2 miner in your development, we don't care about the mining dev fee.  Wink
709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to mine Altcoins using VPS? on: August 30, 2020, 04:05:05 PM
You can mine a coin that are minable with cpu, but i think the cpu coin are rare to find today because few of them are circulating in the market, you can try a masternode mining, you can use the vps in masternode mining and there's a lot of good POS/MN coin now that are placed in the market.
710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any new CPU only minable alts? on: August 30, 2020, 03:59:21 PM
Hey guys are there any new CPU only minable ALTs on the scene

YadaCoin uses RandomX, so CPU minable. Fairly new project. Great community! Awesome mission!

Website:
https://yadacoin.io

Download their XMRig fork:
https://github.com/pdxwebdev/xmrigCC/releases

I tried yadacoin wayback then, I thought that it was not circulating in the market now bacause one of the exchange that my minted yada was stored was closed and i didn't withdraw my coin in my wallet there. Tell me is that coin still on the market? how about the development?
711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: My rig freezes when mining eth on: August 30, 2020, 03:56:08 PM
That is also my problem right now, one of my rig has 12 rx 570 4gb and I am currently using a mining expert motherboard, I powerup my rig with 1000w corsair and 850w fsp,  7gpu for my corsair 1000w and 5 for the psf 850w, I noticed that in the first run of my mining apps, the hashrate was good but after a few minutes, my hash power decrease and some of my gpu turn to zero hashrate, and today everytime i run the miner it was frozen. I did almost of all of the troubleshooting method, changing the riser, the usb cable, etc. Now, my question is, is my gpu enough to power my rig? I saw also in the miner that my rig only consuming 1098w.

no try

five on the 1000 watt

four on the 850 watt

see if they run overnight.

a lot of atx psu age. a year or two into operation they cant do it.

if 5 and 4 work over night

try 6 and 5

remember to downvolt.

My rig brings me a headache, sometimes the zeroed hash gpu will randomly rotated, after I've change the riser, usb cable and run the miner it will took around 3-4 hours then it will give the zeroed hashrate again in one of my gpu, then my rig started to freeze.
712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: HELP! My GPU AMD RADEON RX 570 NITRO is not detected by Windows! on: August 30, 2020, 03:52:43 PM
Had same problem last night with an RX 470 8gb rig that has been sitting for 3 years.

Dropped in a rx 580 8bg (I thought the 470's were 4gbs')

All cards were bios modded
System recognized only the 580, code 43 on the the 470's
DDU says driver 20.xx.xx was installed for all cards (not the blockchain drivers I was trying to install)

1) unplugged the ethernet cable
2) DDU as administrator
3) Installed blockchain workloads driver from August 11 , 2017  (i am stuck in my ways)
4) Did not reboot
5) Ran AT pixelpatcher as admin (this was the key)
5) Rebooted

all good
I tried a half dozen things last night, gave up and tried the patcher as admin today.

That's one of my big problem on how fixing the error code 43, I almost tried fifferent methods but not luck until today, some say that we need to restore the original bios using the blockchain AMD driver, but I don't think that this will fix the problem. I know that there is a fix for our problem dude.

You probably have a GPU with bios mod, and it's normal that drivers won't recognize without a patch
Here you can found the page: https://www.monitortests.com/forum/Thread-AMD-ATI-Pixel-Clock-Patcher for more information or just download the file, execute and then restart your PC
If this not work maybe you have a faulty GPU, but try above first

I was thinking that it was the solution, replaced my moded bios with factory, then tried to applied again the patcher but still the problem remains, I tried again to unpatched but it's the same error the card were given. I have 10 RX 570 8gb with error 43 problem.
715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: HELP! My GPU AMD RADEON RX 570 NITRO is not detected by Windows! on: August 29, 2020, 02:16:53 PM
Every time i try launch the AMD software it says that There is no AMD GPU detected or check if it has been installed correctly which i checked it has been installed correctly and every time i go to device manager it says On my GPU that Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) please help i have tried updating the drivers on the GPU but that didnt seem to work.
Hello!
Sorry, but it looks like you forgot to use atikmdag-patcher.exe
maybe this will solve the problem.

maybe i'm wrong about that.

The atikmdag patcher is not always the solution, it didn't fix my card's error 43 problem, and I'm still searching for the fix of this problem, I already tried some tutorial on youtube but i have no luck fixing the eror 43 problem, I wish someone's here may share the working fix for the problem.

It is hard to say that RX 500 4gb series GPU's are not capable of mining eth neither etc this coming october to december, I just rebuild my gpu rig again after of lessthan 2yrs that i shut it down, anyway there's a lot of coin listed in whatomine that are capable to mine with our gpu.

719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: August 27, 2020, 11:48:38 AM
Hi guys do you have a recommended and safe mobile wallet for ETC, I just want to try to shift my rig to mine ETC it would be great if someone here share the link and the good mobile wallet. Thanks

Coinomi is good

Yes, coinomi and trust app are very good wallets, you can add ETC to metamask as well, if you already use that app for ETH and tokens

Great, the app is the best choice for mobile, I'm currently using both to store several tokens including ETC. The simple interface and also the attractive features are enough for me.

There are a lot of mobile wallet available for this coin along with coinomi like Trust Wallet and Atomic Wallet. I personally like to use Atomic Wallet it offering some other features too like built in exchange with comfort and in secure environment.

Thanks guys for all your suggestion, but I already stopped to mine ETC, looks like the 51 attacks hasn't solve yet, My minted coin (etc) hanged on the immature balance and the thansaction the will be needed is 80k, that is too much for a small miners like me. I hope they will fix this problem immediately.
720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ICO WhitePaper Matter Most? on: August 23, 2020, 11:27:33 PM
I found this definition of whitepaper that many ICO project themselves does not fully understand.

''A white paper is an authoritative document intended to fully inform the reader on a particular topic. It combines expert knowledge and research into a document that argues for a specific solution or recommendation. The white paper allows the reader to understand an issue, solve a problem, or make a decision.''
