701  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: lost 10 BTC in between Feb and May on: September 01, 2022, 01:00:31 PM
Namaste Group

I have been trading since 2017 and ride a lot in crypto and forex rollercoaster. I earned my fortune in 2020 bull run and lost everything.

I am here to share this bcaz, i get out of that depression frustration and misery.
I have again starting trading and came here to share my past and get some valuable knowledge from fellow traders.

thank you/ dhanyawaad for reading my post.

How experienced are you into crypto trading anyway? Because of your losses, I assume that you didn’t have much knowledge in risk management.

Coz’ no matter how skillful and experienced you are as long you do not know how to minimize and managing your risks, for sure you will be losing a lot just like what you have shared here with us.
702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Keep or sell ethereum before the merge? on: August 30, 2022, 05:25:38 PM
That one is totally up to you. Coz' no matter which advice do you get here, it's not going to be the right or wrong answer.

As the cryptocurrency market is so unpredictable these days, there's no perfect advice whether to buy, hold or sell them. You just have to be prepared on whatever the outcome is after the merge when it comes to managing your risks.
703  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is environmental menace! BTC miners are carbon terrorists! on: August 30, 2022, 04:51:57 PM
OP I don't know why a toxic stupid idiot like you is still doing here in this forum. Your claims are a bunch of nonsense BS. What does it benefit you here? Wasting your time and energy as a keyboard warrior posting negative stuff about the unstoppable Bitcoin?

You can't change the whole world buddy. BTC can't be stopped no matter if it falls down several times whether in the financial or environmental side. It's unbeatable. Not even the governments and banks can stop or control it.
704  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best time to buy or wait a little bit ? on: August 28, 2022, 10:06:04 PM
As of this time, there's no perfect advice that you're going to get even coming from the so-called experts, gurus, coaches or so. The market is always the master and we just don't know what would happen in the next hour, day, week, month or so.

Just learn how to manage your risks, only invest and trade what you can afford to lose and acknowledge whatever results you get whether if goes up, down or treading water.
705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CRYPTO IS NOT A GET RICH QUICK SCHEME on: August 28, 2022, 09:55:55 PM
Yup but just like fiat, cryptocurrencies can be used in both good and bad ways of making money.

For example, Forsage scam is using "ETH" as front for their networking ponzi scheme claiming that it's their "main product". This is where most of us get misinformed whereas if a coin was used for a scam opportunity, they would just generalize it as scam.

I have encountered some people before that they're trying to make me stop sharing something good about Ethereum because it's a scam from Forsage. I just simply educate them about ETH's real use cases and fundamentals rather than being used as a front for various get rich quick schemes
706  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dip, Dipper, Dippest on: August 28, 2022, 09:37:34 PM
A couple of weeks ago I was excited that bitcoin price had gained 23k+. I was positive that it was going to at least stay steady at that point for some and the go up gradually, but boy was I wrong. On Twitter this user - Richard Heart, tweeted "Pray that #Bitcoin doesn't hit $11,000. For if it does, the sound of me patting myself on the back will be heard around the world."(What does this even mean?). Anyways, I decided to open my Binance app(I do not check the price daily. Is this normal?) only to find out that the price has plummeted to 20k. Honestly, I am not perturbed at all because I am a long term hodler. But why can't the price stay steady? Are we moving towards the dippest part of the dip? Just wanna know your thoughts. Thank you.

In my own instinct, anything can happen without warning especially the predictions, speculations and assumptions that we have for a specific coin or the entire cryptocurrency market.

We just simply don't know if $17k was the real bottom, but we have to be ready for anything. September is going to be a crucial month for us because of the Ethereum merge. Before it would happen, the market will be manipulated by the whales so that they could buy BTC, ETH, etc., at much cheaper prices.

The bear run won't end soon. Probably we might be touching $17k again or so. Just my opinion only.
707  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Philippine Universities Team Up With Binance To Offer Bitcoin Courses on: August 27, 2022, 03:08:25 AM

Kailangan muna sila matuto na mas mataas income nila kaysa expenses kasi napaka risky talaga itong Bitcoin at crypto industry (even NFTs). At saka marami pa din ang na misinformed o uniformed na akala nila scam at ponzi toh. Kailangan nila talaga ma educated ng maayus tungkol dito. Opinion ko lang po ito guys.
708  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I Know this is scam but I don't know how they go about it. on: August 27, 2022, 02:59:55 AM
This mostly happens when one allow message request on twitter. I've received several messages like this but even when I tried to reply and see how they go about it,Twitter will have suspended the account.
Did anyone here knows how this scammer steal coins from people with this kind of trick?
Incase anyone here wanna fall into thier trap.
Although staying away from them is the best way but some people are just too greedy to stay away  Grin

This is how they send thier messages

Yes I have encountered this before in Telegram. Quite similar tactic but I just simply delete the chat and blocked that person. Not only with this kind of script, but we have to be vigilant and learn to have second thoughts or ask opinion from the experienced ones before believing in that kind of message or so. Let’s be extra careful because the scammers and hackers are getting smarter due to learning of their mistakes in the past of failed methods.
709  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ignore the dip and Invest in Bitcoin for long term on: August 27, 2022, 02:48:54 AM
Well here we go again guys. But I do not look at my Bitcoin portfolio for a long while. Maybe once in a while after doing DCA every month. Long term is what I am thinking no matter how bad the news was like the latest one from the FED regarding inflation-related stuff.
710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: August 26, 2022, 07:01:20 PM
Hey guys! I just read this article here:

https://coingape.com/binance-suspend-deposits-withdrawals-ethereum-merge/

More likely this isn't going to be in Binance only, but other exchanges may likely going to follow suit in suspending deposits and withdrawals due to the upcoming Ethereum Merge that affects ETH and ERC20 tokens.

Since GOLD is an ERC20 token, so I assume that the trading in the internal marketplace might be affected (but correct me if I'm wrong) for us to buy and sell, as well as distributing GOLD tokens to bounty hunters.

What are your thoughts about this guys especially the Digital Gold admin here? I mean what are the next steps for this one since GOLD is ERC20.

Would really appreciate the answers here folks. Thanks in advance!
711  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: mine a Bitcoin or buy a bitcoin? on: August 26, 2022, 06:54:24 PM
If I only knew Bitcoin a decade ago, I would be doing whatever it takes to mine as much as I can. But now that mining is now getting difficult for every halving period passing by, I'll just simply do DCA (dollar cost averaging) with Bitcoin with my extra "not beer money".

But of course, it really depends on whichever works for you because both methods are still subject to certain risks in the financial side that you definitely need to acknowledge.
712  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Currency acceptance Everywhere on: August 25, 2022, 03:35:14 PM
Amidst the heavy taxation on cryptocurrency, the acceptance of cryptocurrencies have been increasing all around. A fine example for the same is the acceptance of cryptocurrencies by this street chai (tea) Shop accepting cryptocurrency. This is located in Bangalore which is one among the IT City of India. Hope this creates awareness and increase of usage among Indians.

I have no problem getting taxed because we are obliged in doing so as income earners to help with the economy. Crypto taxes aren't yet being structured in the Philippines despite it's generally considered to be taxable under realized income (crypto to fiat conversion). I would likely choose to pay taxes than getting banned in the country as regulation is definitely needed to increase more adoption.

Same here in the Philippines where the acceptance has been increasing and it'll never stop. Recently, Binance will be partnering with Philippine universities to introduce Bitcoin and crypto related courses in the curriculum.
713  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Philippine universities to offer Bitcoin courses in partnership with Binance on: August 24, 2022, 11:26:59 PM
Source: https://twitter.com/BitcoinMagazine/status/1562508362679726081

For years, I have imagined about Bitcoin and crypto being included in the curriculum of each university in the Philippines. Now it looks like that it will finally came to reality thanks to Binance's partnership.

Before the pandemic, I was so passionate about educating the students and teachers about Bitcoin in a few universities where I was invited as a keynote speaker. Now I am excited even more because of the latest developments that we have and the future is bright for Bitcoin and crypto here in the Philippines.

What are your honest thoughts and insights about this guys? Would love to hearing it from you. Thanks in advance.
714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether deciding not to freeze Tornado Cash addresses? on: August 24, 2022, 11:00:27 PM
Tether released a statement regarding the freezing of tornado cash addresses, basically saying they’re not going to do it.

Apparently so far authorities have not requested them to freeze any privately held wallet or address despite Tether’s near daily contact with US law enforcement.

This is what they said about it:

“Unilaterally freezing secondary market addresses could be a highly disruptive and reckless move by Tether. Even if Tether recognizes suspicious activities on such an address, completing a freeze without the verified instruction of law enforcement and other government agencies might interfere with ongoing and sophisticated law enforcement investigations.”

What do you guys think about this move?

I don't like the fact that they are a centralized stablecoin as they have the capability of freezing the USDTs we have in our respective wallets. This is one reason why I didn't have USDT anymore but rather converting them to either BTC, BUSD or USDC.

Having a centralized stablecoin in our portfolio doesn't make us having a full custody of it.
715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coming sooner: ETH devs move up the date for Merge on: August 23, 2022, 08:38:18 PM
This is going to be highly anticipated for sure. How I wish I still have my ETH right now in which I am so stupid enough not to move them to my hardware wallet sooner. If I did, I could have saved it from getting hacked. But back then, I was too complacent in making my ETH safe in my Trust Wallet but I was wrong after accidentally engaged with a fake PDF file that turns out to be a malware.

My sister, however, she still has her ETH but currently at a loss because she bought it when the price was at $2k. Hopefully this would really be big for ETH's price when the merge comes up.
716  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Started accepting Bitcoin as a 4th means of payment in my noddles DEPOT on: August 23, 2022, 08:24:46 PM
It's great for me to see these kinds of topics emerging on Bitcointalk where you are promoting and advocating the real use cases and fundamentals of Bitcoin.

Accepting BTC as a means of payment in any traditional business is something that businessmen like the OP should be doing nowadays. All they need is to be educated about the positives of Bitcoin and not listening to the uninformed or misinformed people who knew nothing or misunderstood about this crypto.

Congratulations and keep it up! Spread the word more about Bitcoin through the business that you have.
717  Local / Pilipinas / Re: BSP to have crypto education in Philippines. on: August 22, 2022, 01:07:48 PM

Para sakin its a positive thing for us na yung central bank ng Pilipinas mismo ang gusto mag educate sa atin about crypto.

718  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be wary of crypto/blockchain bridges! on: August 22, 2022, 01:02:59 PM
I have some experience using bridges like Ronin and SWFT Blockchain to be able to swap my coin to the other blockchain. Yeah we just have to be careful nowadays as these bridges are vulnerable to exploits, etc., due to lack of security measures.

The thing is that even if the security measures are in place, the hackers are just one step ahead. Just like us, these hackers also learned from their failures and kept improving their skills and abilities just to make their attempt successful.
719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Touching the life of random poor kids with all my 3wks campaign BTC on: August 22, 2022, 12:37:21 PM
This is such an inspiring post from you about promoting Bitcoin this way. Despite the restrictions that you have in your country, you still keep believing that one day those restrictions will be eased once they will be enlightened more about Bitcoin.

It feels to give without expecting anything in return as unexpected blessings will come along the way.
720  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins are Not Real — Or how People Blindly Believe Nakamoto's Nonsense on: August 22, 2022, 08:20:35 AM
Quote
Numbers exist everywhere. In mathematics they count abstract objects. In fiat currencies and stocks they count real debt units and real equity shares. In companies they count real product units. Numbers also exist in Nakamoto's system, where they count non-existent electronic coins. You can use numbers for counting things that are not real. For example, in your mind you imagine a group of unicorns, and then use numbers to count them. That's basically what you people do. When you get numbers via Nakamoto's system you're imagining some electronic coins and believe the received numbers count them. But the only place these coins exist is fantasy. They are not real. Just like unicorns.

And what are you still doing here in this forum? I assume that an anti-Bitcoiner or hater paid you big money for posting this BS claims.

I understand that we can't please everybody here about Bitcoin, especially you. If you're not pleased with Bitcoin, that's on you. It's just that you've wasted your precious time posting nonsense like this instead of doing something productive.
