701  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as an overachiever on: November 21, 2023, 11:53:05 PM
Since Bitcoin came into existence in Year 2009 it has overachieve in terms of it value,  and I believe that it will keep on gaining more hight.
I still wouldn’t say Bitcoin has over archived.
I would say, Bitcoin has got just the value meant for it being so limited in quantity to serve the world population. As a limited supply that it is, it’s just got to amass itself a good enough price to spread the value to its least denomination in other to attain its purpose as, not a currency for the very few but, for all the world’s people.

Investors having yo salvage the opportunity in light of the development and continued growth of the currency are doing so with a foresight of what it’s got to be and waiting on the sidelines just wondering when and where to get in would be some means of not doing yourself a lot of good. Maybe you have your eyes in some other commodities and business/investment opportunities but, if you’ve got hopes of using Bitcoin some day, you could as well start building a portfolio right about now.

703  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How I got started with Bitcoin and how it is blessing for me? on: November 19, 2023, 06:11:42 PM
So it looks like 2014 I know about Bitcoin.
In 2017 I understand and invest in Bitcoin
In 2020 I was able to withdraw my profits from Bitcoin and got married and had a child in 2021 when Bitcoin was at $70,000.
And now I have again started making small investments in Bitcoin to contribute to my future generation. Cool Cool

Sorry for writing so briefly.
To tell the truth, I am an only child from a poor family, my father left me no property or bank balance.
 Embarrassed
In the end, I want to say one thing, in fact Bitcoin has not only worked as a support for my life, but after learning the details of its method, it has transmitted a kind of happiness, hope, trust and cheerful life energy in my mind.

Because my teenage life was spent in depression and deprivation. So I think bitcoin is Blessing for me which can bring real power for my life.
So a little twist in your writing…

Are you a child or an adult who’s solely trying to have a throw back at a teenage age experience along with the contemporary life as an adult Bitcoin investor?

Something I have to point out though. I am pretty sure Bitcoin ATH is around $69k and it didn’t make the $70k mark, not yet with current historical records. Its ATH is around $68,789 to be precise.

Still, I can’t say you’ve made any bad investment nor acted unwisely with your choices of having to take profit because, you met it early, took what opportunity you could and chose to better your life the much your investment could afford you and so, it’s a good one.
Even still, you continue some small investments still, that too is a good one but, if you could, you can as well invest, keep topping up your portfolio and live it be, while leveraging other streams of income if you can accord yourself a few and run your life on that. Perhaps till Bitcoin becomes more widely accepted. You would be even more proud of your choices judging by what pride you’ve gotten from your past decisions with the currency.
704  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [banned mixer] 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: November 19, 2023, 06:00:30 PM
I couldn’t agree more with you on the case of big and club side important players like that of Haaland not getting involved with national team games when there is nothing or very little at stake, but Haaland might be very due for an injury and it’s evident with the way Guardiola have been managing his minutes very well and making sure he doesn’t play when not necessary but for a player with an injury history, fatigue and knocks could be a factor of accumulated playing regardless of the how long they sit out of matches.
It seems this wasn’t a far fetched speculation as current reports has it that, E. Haaland has got an ankle injury from an in-house training. It’s exaggerated to be one that could be career threatening or season long. I checked what stats the FPL has placed on him and his got 75% chance of playing. This left me with mixed feelings in what could be the actual case here.

Though I don’t have him on my team as I transferred him out over the last 2 GWs, I had thoughts of a possible return but, that’s not until his injury news is clear but then, what’s the case with him.
Anyone with some legit update on E. Haaland’e injury status?
705  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Is the transfer transaction confirmed within 1 year? on: November 19, 2023, 05:38:43 PM
Yes it is rare to see transaction still left in mempool for almost 1-2 years but it is much possible either by the user himself rebroadcasting it regularly and the fee as stated above or the wallet used as an inbuilt rebroadcast which it does regularly.
It doesn't even need to be rebroadcast for some nodes to keep it for a year of more.

We know for a fact there are some nodes which run with much higher limits than the default. If you look at https://mempool.space/ for example, their node is showing over 1 GB of memory use, far beyond the 300 MB default, and the graph is still showing all transactions down to 1 sats/vbyte. If you look at https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#BTC,1w,weight,0, his node is keeping all transactions, even those paying less than 1 sat/vbyte in fees. There will be many other such nodes which will hold on to OP's transaction indefinitely.

Still, his transaction pays 12 sats/vbyte, so it won't take a year for fees to drop back down to that level.
I agree that it wouldn’t take a year and the OP was just being sarcastic and was met with some sarcastic replies as well but, my point of wonder is,
Why send such small, dust amount. It’s hardly of any relevance or perhaps it’s requested to clear error IP on forum account creation. I wonder if that’s it else, why the dust amount and at such a time when, you even have to give it some hours for transactions of 100sat/vbyte to confirm and yet here you are @OP with 12sat/vbyte.

Does it really make much difference @o_e_I_e_o, having your transactions listed at the bottom of some of the pools and getting dropped. In both cases, you get to wait until the network is decongested and fees reduced.
I feel, your more relaxed having your transaction, dropped/rejected and stayed in your wallet.
706  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Uncomfirmed Transaction on: November 18, 2023, 06:42:35 PM
I sent a transaction yesterday that still was not confirmed so I cancelled it and resent today with a higher mining fee but still unconfirmed.  This is unusual as it usually confirms at least within a few hours.
It’s not unusual for there to be congestion on the Bitcoin network especially when preparing for a possible bullrun or moments when Bitcoin price is on the rise like we find in this current dispensation.

The price of Bitcoin have been hanging around $36k and there have been some news with the ETF which is perceived differently by individuals in the cryptospace but, it’s effect could be what we have now amongst others.

All that plays to increase the rate of transactions and as a result, clogging of the network which works on prioritizing transactions based on fees.
Perhaps you’ve had to bump your transactions twice, it didn’t change the fact that, they weren’t enough to fit in to high priority transactions. You could check the mempool to find out just what fee is good enough and you’ll know what your to work with for quick confirmation.
707  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: P2P Marketplace on: November 18, 2023, 06:35:47 PM
All the listed platforms above are not p2p marketplaces because they involve a third party which is the centralized exchange
The exchanges are falsely using "Peer to peer marketplace" because it sells them better, but the right term for them is c2c marketplace.

OP may use them, but they are far from being p2p.

Bisq is a perfect p2p Bitcoin exchange.
You know, I have not had to look at it that way before now but by some means, there is a lot of sense in the theory your postulating here as,
Exchanges are centralized (although we’ve got DEX; which many don’t use due to its difficulty) and as such, coins on an exchange or transacted by an exchange is just you having to use that window of opportunity and p2p isn’t defined by a third party involvement.

Although, you for Bitcoin to maintain its anonymity and a high level of security which ensures trust on the conclusion of a transaction, third parties as escrow which most exchanges stands as by there usage is highly a best option.

Something I don’t agree to though, the term c2c. I fell it ain’t coined better but, I’ve got no better suggestion still.

If you guys check most of the current status of pending scam accusation. Most of them is already attended by BC representatives but not in favor to the players. They are not taking their time but rather they are standing on their decision against all the open scam accusation that’s why they are very silent.

Some of the issue already concluded by the arbitrator that BC should give the fund back to the player yet BC is ignoring it and become silent as feedback to the decision. This piling of issue with valid proof is very serious which no trusted company will allow unanswered for a long time.
I really hoped it didn’t get bad to the point of painting there page before there attention was called in to pending issues but, with them tending to these issues, it actually means the company means well and have some concern for there status as per reputation and the brand in which they’ve begone. Although, it’s a stigma that would take some time to clean up.

I just of recent and as a matter of fact, see BC.Game to be taking some social media promotions. While it would be good at the end of the platform, it would be nice to have them take these issues as they arise more seriously.

710  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Start with the little you have, you don't need millions of dollars to own BTC. on: November 17, 2023, 05:56:44 PM
There seems to exist a dilution in the minds of low income earners and those who have the impression that they don’t have enough to cater for their daily needs hence, invest in a highly unstable Bitcoin even when they know it’s a good investment.

In most cases, you have them hoping on a time, a time or more, a time when there resourcefulness can allow them that window of opportunity to take up the Bitcoin investment, a time they don’t even know to exists or could exist.
The bottom line to this is, you find them missing out on all the god opportunities of buying at a low and much better price than the later would present.

This is why there are denominations within Bitcoin and not capping it at the price for a BTC to be the least one can afford. There are the Sat denominations which in its accumulation over time could give you BTC1.
Take it up for a long term goal and use the DCA strategy to ensure you ain’t doing too much. Buy in bits and see far you would come in months.

You gain noting just sitting on the sidelines.
711  Economy / Speculation / Re: September didn't follow its bear cycle on: November 16, 2023, 02:23:56 PM
In any case, this is yet another example of how previous performance is not a guarantee of future performance. While I personally believe that the past will always and forever be a part of the future, many people simply have a tendency to anticipate the future and base their financial decisions on the past, which I believe to be reckless and nothing more than gambling.

While history can never be exactly the same, it does frequently rhyme, therefore this does not mean that we should dismiss it entirely. The past, present, and future must all be balanced, and we must pay attention to both the past and the present as well as the future.
While we remain conscious of history and anticipate a possible recall of times associated phenomenon, we could as well reckon on the fact that, all activities that played out to the resultant isn’t stagnant or designed to occur in the same way. There are bounds to be changes, changes that can alter the timing and occurrence of an event.

It takes just one swift news or change in policy to bring about certain awareness that could result in changes. History is only there to guide you and not act as pointers on what will be. It could either motivate you to take certain investment decisions after identifying certain elements in the market within a period or aid you to decide against.
712  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a peer to peer method less popular than as an investment on: November 15, 2023, 06:30:04 PM
but many people have become so concerned about its price and have forgotten it's inherent uses.
I don’t think a lot of people have forgotten about it’s inherent use as you presume but, what we have is more of a leveraging of the opportunity at hand with the absence of means to usage as a purchasing power.

It’s only right and serves more that Bitcoin should accord itself more uses than its initial idea but, all remains in line with a more broad usage following its limited nature.

Especially, I do not expect people can be complaining about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general that they are causing global warming.
I am a bit confused here.

Is this the part where them (which ever group or persons within this category) is defined to not be educated?

That they dwell on theories that aren’t correct or wrong doesn’t make no one uneducated. It’s just another garbage that is fed to everyone who is concerned and dares to read whatever is out there on the internet or from which ever resource.

The idea to climate change comes from the high electricity values required for mining with them rigs. Mining has become so sophisticated and depending on your immediate environment, you might need conventional power supply sources of which (fossil) fuel remains a more prominent source, accounts for emissions and as a result, climate change.

That’s what the weather people would say but again, why being so focused on Bitcoin? I mean, it’s not done what the refineries are doing…

Bitcoin remains a target for most government and centralized systems out there because of what it stands to change but, it’s an idea that is accepted by some and rejected by others. Let it move at it’s pace.

716  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can anyone recommend an event where one can test their trading skills? on: November 13, 2023, 08:43:01 PM

I wouldn't use demo platforms to learn trading because demo and real life are like day and night. When you trade on demo platform with play money, you risk easily and you trade differenty because you know there is not your fate dependent on your trades but when you trade in real life and see that you lose or profit from your budget, then you start to ger nervous or excited and will make mistakes.
Demo might not be your real money in the sense that, you can easily get over it in events of a lose and it could steer you into over estimating your wins which could reflect in you not taking calculated risks when you go live, Demo remains a way to go and practice trading.
While placing your trade, you would still have a good percent of the adrenaline rush and this would be you trading the same condition as those trading live.

To test just how you good you might have been and you don’t want to be focused on the demo applications, you might just buy the ETF idea where you hope to get something out of your good works and you might be responsible for some of your actions even though, it’s just your reputation.
717  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [banned mixer] 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: November 13, 2023, 04:38:00 PM
We were the better team today; the only difference was that we didn't have our way with decisions, and Anthony Taylor was terrible as usual. The city continues to get away with these decisions. They have the entire FA in their hands.
Terrible! Did I hear you right on Anthony Taylor being terrible in the Chelsea 4-4 Manchester City officiating?

I don’t very much agree with that one my good brother. I think it’s you being a Chelsea fan speaking in that line. I would say, I wasn’t entirely convinced on the Cucurella and Haaland penalty decision but, it was a 50/50 chance on how it could go. Cucurella wouldn’t let go of E. Haaland even with the danger he knew so well that could bringing and it did prove costly.

Other than that, I think the officiating was okay by my standards. No cards weren’t justifiable neither was the Broja penalty awarding.

Bit yeah, Chelsea was the better team in this one. They’ve been great this season when facing top teams. If only they could replicate this sort of performance, they might as well find themselves in the Europa.
718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [banned mixer] 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: November 12, 2023, 08:24:25 PM

You mentioned Doku somewhere in this thread,  still went ahead and got him, sacrificing Sterling for him, and that's the second worst decision I've made this season; my initial intent was to get Palmer for Sterling, but the transfer happened too quickly. I would not have signed Doku if I had known Grealish was back in the squad. Getting him off after international break.
Doku for Sterling,,, because of one incredible GW performance… that was a rash option as, Manchester City game isn’t built around Doku although, he’s a very talented play maker that could come up with assists, have good eye sight for goals but, his just an option in Peps squad until it solidifies.
Chelsea at this time have most of its play centered around Sterling, N. Jackson and Palmer. They are dependable and you could expect them to come up with good points should Chelsea have a good day but, you can’t say the same for Doku.
Like I said before hand, Doku is good but good enough for the FPL, I can’t say for sure!

@igebotz Sterling looked good today. Is it usual state of things or just today? Thinking to take him after their fixtures turn better. What happens with Palmer minutes after Nkunku gets back? What happens with his penalties? Nkunku was the one before the injury but Palmer scored 4 already, that must count for something, and three of those were against Arsenal, Spurs and City if I am not mistaken Fans will remember those things.

Sterling is always in front of goals; he's been good all season and in every game he's played this season; he's simply one of those unlucky players who puts in so much and gets so little in return. Palmer is an important member of the squad, and when Nkunku returns, he will be moved to the No.10 position behind the striker, where he will spend the majority of his time. Nkunku would have to prove himself to have the PK duty because Palmer has a perfect record.

I'm coming to burn your ass. Just wait.
Sterling was out to prove a point today to Pep and the adoration of both fans that, he was good and surely he was even though he got a yellow card later in the game. He was just out on his best to ensure Manchester City don’t have the last laugh. I think the officiating was good too for this game but then, at some point I felt Palmer was too weak but, Pochettino chose to let him play full time. Maybe for that singular penalty possibility which he scored.
719  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Which sites to go to gather Crypto information and news? on: November 12, 2023, 08:13:14 PM
There is a lot of sites out there as well as exchanges that could give you these pump up news on what’s new and trending in the cryptospace, one reliable source is cointelegraph, coinmarketcap and a host of exchanges out there and even the mycelium wallet do pop up some random informations and new i updates in the crypto space every now and then.

Although, I wouldn’t advise you limit your source of crypto news to these sources. You should be open to other varieties or sources of information out there. You should rather, filter what you chose to go with as, not everything you get out there are entirely true and some of them in themselves are already filtered in a way that it applauds the point being projected.
720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [banned mixer] 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: November 12, 2023, 06:55:14 PM
Newcastle missed following players today (copied from livescore so probably correct):
Harvey Barnes
Dan Burn
Matt Targett
Callum Wilson
Alexander Isak
Elliot Anderson
Jacob Murphy
Sven Botman
Sandro Tonali
Bruno Guimaraes

Just check their bench on site like livescore. Apart from Livramento and Dubravka, all kids. CL and fatigue taking their toll. Lewis Miley in first 11 also a kid. Trippier losing nerves at the and arguing those points with supporters.
Now I see why they lost.
I don’t get a chance to see the game but, looked it up on the FPL results and it was very shocking to note that they lost by 2 goals to nothing.
Isak had been king gone and with Wilson as an addition, they’re sure to have difficult times facing Bournemouth and have any chance of success.

The UCL like you said could possibly be the issue with them as, they’ve got to present there very best and with no team depth to cover for any strain in the squad, what you see in the line ups could be there best possible option.

Trippier having to come up with just a single point, that’s just bad for my squad right now.
Maddison didn’t get to feature on my squad and I’m hoping FPL does the next best thing with a sub of my highest point but, I can only see them bringing in Kabore being my first sub and with a single point as well, FPL though!
