Everton victory vs Brighton was surprising and mixed cards all together. Right now Everton are 1 point away from the relegation zone while they could be just under Leicester without that victory. Nottingham Forest victory against Brighton, again, and draw vs Chelsea that made Leicester suffering.. Obviously Leicester City have to blame themselves for this poor season comparing to the previous ones. They still have a narrow chance to avoid relegation and this by collecting as many points as possible.
Everton's 5-1 victory over Brighton isn't as shocking as Arsenals 3-0 defeat to Brighton days after Brighton were humiliated by Everton. Liecester's poor season looks like will cost them demotion to the championship at the end of the season, Southampton are already relegated after 7 plus years in the  premier league.

Brentford's victory over West Ham with a score of 2-0 at home made them more consistent for the rest of the season. Brentford has moved up to 9th place in the standings and not only that, Brentford also has a good record of the 5 matches they have played, they have only lost 1. For Thomas Frank's squad it is a great achievement and for sure they will continue to win the next matches to get a better position.

In the next match, Brentford will have an away game at Spurs headquarters, we know that Spurs are currently in poor form in the previous matches and this could be a good opportunity for Brentford to secure 3 more points at home to Spurs. If Brentford wins then they will cut the distance from Spurs to 2 points.

Brentford have a good form this season, and with Europa conference league in sight for them this season they will be looking forward to finishing in 7th of 8th position to play in European competition next season. In the next game against Spurs I expect something mind blowing from Brentford, it will a difficult task playing away but for the sake of their objectives I expect a positive result for this game against Spurs.

A similar saying that goes givers never lack, in this case I think you misquote the saying because in reality the more you spend, the more you lose (unless you’re buying assets, in that case it shouldn’t be referred to as spending but investing because spending often refers to buying luxuries and wants). The more correct saying is the less you spend, the more you save. I think the importance of saving money cannot be overstated because in order to make the necessary investments and diversify your portfolio you need to have savings.

Sunday's transfer gossip:

Mauricio Pochettino, who has agreed to take over as Chelsea manager, wants Mason Mount to stay at Stamford Bridge, although the 24-year-old England midfielder only has one year left on his contract and has not been offered an extension. I think Pochettino will have a very difficult job at Chelsea, much more difficult than at any other club he has coached so far.
England midfielder Jude Bellingham reportedly rejected a move from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester City as he did not want to join a 'plastic club'. Very interesting opinion of this player about Manchester City. Do you agree with his opinion?  Grin
Real Madrid are looking to sell French full-back Ferland Mendy, 27, with Arsenal on alert. Real is creating a very strong team for next season.
The president of Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal, Fahad Bin Saad Bin Nafel, has refused to comment on speculation surrounding a move for Paris St-Germain and Argentina forward Lionel Messi, 35. Does this mean that the football transfer of the century is being negotiated?  Cheesy

Finally news coming in today states Chelsea have finally reached an agreement to see Pochettino take over as the new coach of Chelsea for the coming season and negotiations to be held on transfer plans and how to move the club to better heights next season. Ferland Mendy would be a good signing for Arsenal if he eventually joins, I will love Arsenal to consider this deal and try to bring him to the club.

Manchester City are a difficult team to play at the moment especially when they have something important at stake, for seasons Manchester City have always dominated towards the end of the season so I expected it will difficult having them lose a game at this final stages of the season which they are already proving my point. Real Madrid have a history competing in the Champions league, could this be another victory year for them or will City finally get a break through in this competition? I think the second leg tie will decide that.
705  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 14, 2023, 10:14:28 PM
Manchester City are at the edge of lifting the league trophy after Arsenal lost to Brighton today, now a win in their next game to Brighton will put the trophy in their hands for the third time in a role. Arsenal fans will be so disappointed with the results of today’s game. The Premier league is finally over, this loss to Brighton just gave Manchester City a clear part to league victory. What can I say Arsenal always find a way to disappoint their fans.
706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: May 14, 2023, 12:34:42 AM

It can be said that the final between Manchester City and Inter is a final that has been determined since the first leg. But actually I'm not so sure whether Manchester City can fully progress to the final round because the aggregate with Real Madrid is still the same and as everyone knows that Real Madrid has never won at Manchester City, it is a tough job for Ancelotti's squad.

Maybe I will still hope for a miracle like last season when Real Madrid managed to make an aggregate comeback and make them qualify for the final. I have no other opinion and would prefer to see the tension in the second leg later when Manchester City takes on Real Madrid at the Etihad Stadium. For Inter they have secured their next step into the final with an aggregate advantage of 2 goals and with Milan's current state it also seems very difficult to overturn that aggregate advantage.
I think it is still too early to decide which teams will play in the Champions league finals. Inter Milan might have a better advantage in their tie with AC Milan but it is different for Manchester City because it isn't over until the final whistle after 90minutes of the second leg. I still have high hopes that Real Madrid will end up victorious in the end to qualify to the finals.

Good game for Manchester United and what a shocking score. Who would have expected Manchester United to win by 2 goals and keep a clean sheet. Just days ago, fans were already dragging David DeGea for series of mistakes saying he has grown prone to injuries and have to go today he has proven again just how important he is to the team.
It’s a shame seeing Southampton been relegated with just few games left to the end of the season, they couldn't fight to save their season and have been relegated after losing to Fulham today. Aston Villa showed Unai Emery transformation positives yet again against Spurs.

Saturday's transfer gossip:

Manchester United were offered the chance to sign 51-goal striker Erling Haaland, 22, for £4m when he played for Norwegian side Molde, former boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said. What a story. This was probably the mistake of the century  Grin
Chelsea and Manchester United are interested in signing Aston Villa's Argentina goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, 30, with Tottenham also in the market for a new keeper. Great interest in the world champion and the best goalkeeper at the last World Cup. Which club will Martinez go to?
Borussia Dortmund's 19-year-old England midfielder Jude Bellingham has agreed personal terms with Real Madrid. Is this long football saga around Bellingham finally over?
Newcastle could bid £30m for Bayer Leverkusen's 23-year-old French forward Amine Adli, although they expect competition from Bayern Munich and AC Milan. Newcastle seem to be preparing a big squad for their appearance in the Champions League next season.

Source: https://www.bbc.com/sport/65575351
I also came across Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's desire to bring Erling Haaland to the club during his regime. I'm sure United will be regretting their decision to ignore him at that time after seeing how good and efficient Haaland has been in recent years in the Bundesliga and now in the English Premier league.
I am so excited that Bellingham has finally agreed to personal terms with Madrid and I hope a fee will be agreed as soon as possible and deal sealed.

Good to see Bayern Munich finally getting back to winning ways again after few consecutive loses at Thomas Tuchel's arrival including losing and getting eliminated from the Champions league quarter finals to Manchester City. Getting back their form at this crucial time of the season is a good one for them. This win tonight should give them a boost to fight for the league trophy in the remaining league games.
710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: May 13, 2023, 09:22:53 PM
Best decision was Xavi because bringing him to Camp Nou was best from the management and after this Robert Lewandowski give them best double which give them win and now things could be interesting for the next season and as we have rumours about Messi which are no clear things can go more aggressive.

Now if they are able to hold things in positive way then surely we can expect good success because right now financial situation is not good they can improve this and have better success as well most chances they will be able to bring Aubameyang because Chelsea already announces about him and Barcelona can afford him as well this could be good for them and give strength to their attack as well.
At this point the fate of Messi isn't so clear if he will leave PSG at the end of the season, and join Barcelona. We will have to wait till the summer to know his decision and possible destination if he decides to leave. Barcelona's strategies to manage with the financial situations seem to be productive and can be applied again in the summer, bringing in Aubameyang shouldn't be much of a problem since Chelsea are also ready to dispose him at the end of the season for a reasonable fee.

Arsenal have decided to extend with Bukayo Saka for 4 more years (until 2028) and he is okay for this deal also. This is absolutely one of the best actions Arsenal could have taken honestly. Saka is one of the most valuable players in the team now. He is only 21 years old maybe but the things he has done so far are amazing anyway. This season is also going great for him with 14 goals and 11 assists in total. Saka was speculated to be a candidate for Manchester City in next transfer window but now he wouldn't be anymore.

Look at the grow rate in Saka's market value in the recent 3 years:

This is good news for Arsenal fans having one of their best attackers extend his contract to remain at the club for four years more, this will put off Manchester City from approaching their star player. Saka has been instrumental to Arsenal’s achievements in recent season and I’m sure the fans will be delighted to see him continue to improve and show his talent in Arsenal shirts.
712  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 13, 2023, 03:08:36 PM

Gonçalo Ramos looks like a target for Manchester United now. To be more precise, he is among the candidates in their transfer list. He is surely a promising striker right now. Despite his very young age (21) he has been doing an incredible job with Benfica during this season. 25 goals, 11 assists in 44 matches is such a great statistics for him. We don't see so many players being this much capable as a striker at these ages.

His market value is also only 40 million euros now. However as far as I know he has a release clause also which is worth 120 million euros. It is quite a huge sum surely. I don't think Benfica would let him go below his release clause fee. Therefore I'm curious about what action Manchester United are thinking of taking.

Kane is such an experienced top striker that I assume he would still be their priority. But if Tottenham's demand for a transfer fee becomes too high then maybe Manchester United can lean towards a deal for Ramos.
I don’t think 40m it's not a bad price at all. Gonçalo Ramos is a good prospect for any club wanting to invest in the future. He is a good striker, and is capable of scoring goals and will be a good alternative just in case Manchester United miss out on a deal for Harry Kane. Without a doubt, Harry Kane will make an impact if he joins Manchester United, the Red Devils are in need of a good striker, someone who can guarantee them 20 goals in a season and Harry Kane fits in and ticks the boxes for United in that position. I think Harry Kane will be open to moving to Manchester United.
713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 13, 2023, 02:57:14 PM

Every club in the Bundesliga is big, German football is very strong internationally. Currently looks like they are not so good to playing in the 1st  Bundesliga. There are many more good teams in the past. More than 50 years ago, even FC Schalke 04 was German champion 6 times in 9 years. Or Hamburger SV was in the Bundesliga for many years and also won the German championship. But that is all over, you can’t change the past, but you can change the future. Today it is all about of money and a lot of advertising in the social media. That brings even more money for the players and the clubs, and i think it will stay that way.

FC Köln score 1:0.
Football these days is all about money and influence, without these two it is difficult to build a strong team, a team strong enough to compete against top teams in Europe. In the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich have built and strengthen their side and are the reigning and dominating club in the league, gone are does days when clubs maintain dominance with just talent and hardwork, now you also need financial power.
714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 13, 2023, 02:21:38 PM
Newcastle have really improved under Eddie Howe, the best thing they will achieve this season is getting Champions league qualification at the end of the season. Eddie Howe has impacted the team greatly with his coaching style and tactical brilliance, this is an opportunity for Newcastle to step up and put themselves at the top ranks in the premier league and I hope they don't blow it next season.

Leeds will do their best against Newcastle United to try and save their season, a win against Newcastle will give them a better advantage to escape relegation. Nottingham Forest will face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge today, a tough game for Nottingham, I doubt they will be able to get a win against Lampard's men.
715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 11, 2023, 10:05:44 PM

Manchester United must wipe out all remaining matches to be safe from Liverpool's pursuit. Those four matches were certainly not easy for the Red Devils to earn perfect points. If you look at United's current performance, I doubt it very much, unless Ten Hag has already evaluated his team.

The condition of Manchester United is currently experiencing a center back crisis and also an increasingly blunt front line, of course such a situation cannot happen to a team that is struggling to secure the Champions League zone. If you want to stay in the top four, then Ten Hag must make every effort so that his troops can perform optimally in the remaining matches.
Manchester's remaining matches are not easy matches that we can comfortably say they will win all three games, the next game is against Wolves, on a normal day Manchester United will win comfortably but with this current form I doubt if Manchester United can win easily. The last games are crucial for their champions league qualification so they have to win, losing is not an option because Liverpool are firing themselves back to the top four position.

You can see, nowadays Sancho is rarely a main starter. that's why, Ten Hag judged he was not in accordance with what he wanted. As for Weghorst, actually Ten Hag doesn't make him a very reliable center forward in his squad. if many think so, it is wrong. because, his job with United is none other than to open up space for his colleagues. after all, he's just a loan player at a low price. Ten Hag used him as a diversion option, his role with United not being to score goals. so, it would be unsightly to be compared to Haaland. therefore, irrelevant. imagine, a loan player at 2 million dollars, with a player that has a fantastic price tag. so, that's why United are always associated with experienced strikers like Harry Kane, Osimhen, or others.

One more thing, Rashford's performance has decreased due to several problems with his fitness. forced to appear in the match against Sevilla, even though he still has not fully recovered. as I often say in many posts, United's performance will experience a decline after carrying out a series of busy match schedules. which in the end, many of their players were injured. next, next season, Ten Hag will bring in several newcomers who fit the criteria. that way, United will be much better as they are showing at this time. but before all that, Ten Hag must ensure that his team finishes in the top 4 of the standings.
It is really surprising how Sancho has fallen from a 100m euros worth player to a benchwarmer, over the past two years he has been tipped to make a comeback in his career and turn things around at least for the worth of the huge amount he was signed for but too bad that has not been the case at Manchester United. Soon the club will be considering selling him off at the end of the season because he is becoming more of a liability than an asset to the club. Obviously Weghorst will not be staying for further season with Manchester United which means bringing in a new striker is a priority in the summer.
718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 11, 2023, 06:17:58 PM
Declan Rice is the prima donna for many teams, a number of elite clubs have expressed interest and are ready to make a bid for West Ham. But I think he would be a better fit to join Manchester City. For next season Pep Guardiola really needs a replacement for Gundogan who maybe next season he will leave Manchester City.

Declan Rice is indeed widely rumored to be recruited by Chelsea, he is included in Pochettino's plans to rebuild Chelsea, but because Chelsea have failed to play in the Champions League next season it seems Rice is reluctant to respond to the offer. It should be noted that the West Ham midfielder really wants to play in Europe's highest caste. So Manchester City is the right port for Rice.
Declan Rice rise to fame story is really interesting now he is one of the most sort midfielders in the league, with top English clubs including Manchester United and Arsenal also keen on getting his signature. Westham are open to selling but he comes with a huge price which I feel would be the determining factor to which team to get his signature in the summer. Arsenal have champions league football to lure him to their side but will they be willing to  break the bank and pay a whopping 100 million plus for him?
719  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 11, 2023, 04:26:04 PM
It looks like Chelsea are preparing to turn Felix's deal into a permanent one. They want to offer Aubameyang and Cucurella also in this deal. Aubameyang hasn't even been properly for the team and he has already been eager to leave the team as soon as possible. Returning to the La Liga might be really good for him again. He still wants Barcelona actually but I think he would be okay for Atletico Madrid also.

Cucurella has played in so many matches with his team so far actually. But it looks like he is still not among Chelsea's plans. I still think that he could have been a good use for Chelsea as long as they sign a decent manager. He is actually a skilled left-back and I think he deserves to be given more time. Felix is a really good player but I don't think Cucurella also should be used in this deal.
IMO Joao Felix has made an impression in his short term loan move to Chelsea and should be retained. It's a shame seeing how Aubameyang has dropped from glory days to now sitting on the bench, in the summer Chelsea will want to get rid of him since Barcelona are keen on taking him back. The one transfer which is a surprise to me is Cucurella because he has been impressive since joining Chelsea, hearing Chelsea wants to sell him is shocking.
720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 11, 2023, 03:30:19 PM
Liverpool have somehow managed  to work their way back to winning ways and it’s at a good time in the league to revive their chances of finishing in top four spot at the end of the season. Their current winning form have seen them climb up the table to 5 position right below Manchester United and Newcastle United, a win for them in their next game and a lose for united puts them above united and in forth position.
