701  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling all about luck? on: September 24, 2023, 10:31:54 PM
In my opinion making cash from gambling is not a good option and the statistical probability that you will win every game at every casino is very low. I think winning or losing every game is completely in your head, so your individual tricks are not there. However, we all have some kind of luck so we should strive for what is possible for us.
i'm actually quite uncomfortable with topics like this that keep popping up, which in the end leads us to a circuitous conclusion lol, i think everyone understands that even though there are strategies that can be used when gambling in casinos, luck is the one that plays the biggest role in the results at the end of gambling we do.
so it is important for every gambler to continue to apply safe and responsible principles in every gambling activity that is carried out.  if your goal is not money then you don't need luck, you just want entertainment, but if your goal is money then you need luck.

i like everything you provide here (especially enabling 2FA, only playing at casinos with a good reputation, reading the TOS, setting a loss limit, and only gambling with money you can afford to lose) i never miss anything before i gamble and make some deposit on the gambling site i choose, my principle is to play safe and everything will remain safe.  Gambling should be a fun activity and adrenaline rush, but it is often taken for granted, causing us to lose when we gamble> even worse, we are devastated.
703  Economy / Economics / Re: How to reduce the price of goods on: September 24, 2023, 05:30:12 PM
I have been thinking and trying to analyze what is really causing the high cost of food in Nigeria, I came to realize that monopoly is the major factors, Nigeria government are the enablers. How can one person be the sole major distributor, government should welcome competition in the business sector, every business person should be allowed to produce.
monopoly is a dirty business strategy carried out by several parties to control the price of a need, there is also a scenario carried out by big players to monopolize food, that is by making fertilizer prices high, then the price of food that comes from first hand will automatically be high, then they try to make deliveries late, this is also usually the strategy they will use to make food prices soar because when there is a delay in delivery then demand will increase, well when demand increases then prices will automatically increase, usually dirty methods like this involves several corrupt elements from the government, so it requires strong action and also pressure from citizens to make the government provide their best policies for basic needs such as food.

Win Always
“You may lose a battle but always win the war”
Let your number of winning trades always outnumber your lost trades. An average of 60% winning trades (weekly or monthly) makes you a profitable trader and keeps you winning.

honestly, this is the conclusion of the topic you created.  there are 30 days in a month, if you trade every day then losing 14 times during a month is very normal, a professional trader is not calculated from one hundred percent accuracy of his predictions but from what percentage of his winnings each week or each month (depending on the period the trader's target), recapitulating how much you lose and win in a week or month is part of risk management and traders who always win are those who master it and practice it in every trading activity they do.

I remember Ray Dalio saying. In your twenties explore all the things you can explore and find that one thing that excites you the most then master it. He then later said, don't forget to figure out how can you make money out of it. I think blessed are those people who find their job and passion as one. Or they are just simply hard-working and disciplined people who do things that the crowds aren't doing. When they work, they do it with finesse like it doesn't seem like work to them. They are just playing.

I think that's the greatest benefit of doing what you love, plus being paid for it.

great example, i immediately found out about him.

Dalio retired as co-CEO of Bridgewater in 2017 and stepped away as chairman and co-chief investment officer in 2021 and 2022, respectively

Dalio grew up in a middle class Long Island neighborhood and started playing the markets at age 12, getting tips from golfers for whom he caddied.

Dalio retired as CEO at the age of around 68, it is clear that it never crossed his mind to retire at such a young age.  Dalio has a passion for making money so he doesn't see the activities he does as work, it's a hobby, his thoughts really inspire me more and more, what he does is 100% the right decision.
706  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gives the poor an Opportunity. on: September 23, 2023, 08:47:20 PM
Bitcoin provides a golden opportunity for anyone in this world.  Bitcoin is the first crypto asset to appear, it is decentralized, its creator has a pseudonym, it can be bought on any exchange easily, has low transaction fees, can be sent to any private bitcoin wallet throughout the world very easily and has a strong community, so there are no drawbacks to Bitcoin, even with $1 you can have Bitcoin (with the smallest amount or what is often called satoshi)  Anyway, have you ever thought that people who hate bitcoin, really hate bitcoin? there is a possibility that they also invest in bitcoin but want to try to manipulate the market for their own benefit!
707  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: No KYC vs KYC enabled casinos (Facts you need to know) on: September 23, 2023, 07:10:39 PM
the KYC procedure should not be seen as a coercion so it is important for every gambler to read the TOS first.  KYC is implemented for good purposes, usually to prevent fraud from occurring, i know that, but on some gambling sites quite often KYC becomes an obstacle for users to withdraw their money, therefore following KYC procedures or not must be done with full awareness and without intimidation from anyone.  anyone must know what he/she is doing, whether you like the KYC procedure or not is your choice and right as a human being.
708  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Typical scenario when you are losing on: September 23, 2023, 06:35:44 PM
I’ve been gambling for a long time which make sme experience tons of losses and gains at the same time. On this topic, I listed below the typical scenario whenever I experience loss. I notice this before but I’m ignoring it because I don’t want to believe that it’s really the cause.

Scenario when I lose in gambling
  • Waking up early morning to play gambling without eating any breakfast
  • When someone badgering me behind while I’m playing
  • When I already on adrenaline mode after losing more than 50% of my bankroll and start chasing losses using huge bets.
  • Gambling late night while I feel already sleepy
  • Playing gambling after a recent huge win
  • When I already huge amount while I can’t withdraw my balance due to my pending deposit
  • Chasing small bets lose while I’m already up by huge profit just to close my balance to nearest whole number
  • Playing different games simultaneously while you are already winning to other one

I’m still tracking all my human error that keeps me giving a regular losses when I’m on this condition. Do you have something like this?
hunger can damage your focus not only when gambling but also when you do your work, so until now i have never missed my breakfast even a day.  The most painful defeat i ever experienced was when i ran out of all my capital even though previously i had won big, at first i thought it was just a myth (losing after winning big), i continued round after round because i was trapped in my mind that my luck will not run out, in fact my luck really stops and my capital slowly continues to run out until it is zero.
709  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What happened to Crypto Volatility..??? on: September 22, 2023, 11:35:27 PM
So i've been a trader since early 2017 and i have never seen such low volatility in market. Even at the time of 2018 bear run the things were quite slow but this time its totally different. It makes a move and consolidates for like a month or two now. Which was never the case in past.

Its possible that only i feel like that and other people still see it like the normal bitcoin trend. But there was fun every week in crypto before.

What do you guys think ?? Is it just me or some of you others feel the same??

And if it is like that then what do you all think when the wild ride start again like old days ??

compared to you, i'm still relatively new to the crypto world, i don't fully understand the movements of the crypto market in 2017 and 2018, but from various sources i read, in those years market manipulation occurred massively, pump - dump schemes were carried out a lot groups or token developers, apart from that bitcoin has really caught the world's attention so that people flock to buy it, this causes market demand for bitcoin to increase and the price is inevitable, in the future i'm not sure we will see a pump - dump scheme on altcoins but we will not be able to withstand bitcoin price volatility.
710  Economy / Economics / Re: Our future with renewable energy. on: September 22, 2023, 10:33:14 PM
when a good idea appears, there are opposing ideas that appear too.  Now, just look at the automotive world which is being directed towards using battery energy, but there are still many people who refuse because it is inefficient and also expensive to maintain, the same goes for green energy, since ancient times we already know about solar panels, wind/water mills and geothermal energy, but why are there still many countries that use coal and oil to produce electrical energy?  from here we know that the government itself is not making the adoption of renewable energy happen.

i 100% support that renewable energy can be mass adopted throughout the world, but i don't know about others, it takes a hard struggle to direct human habits from using fossil energy to renewable energy.

Doctors Transplant Pig Heart Into Dying Man—Only The Second Time It’s Ever Been Done.

Surgeons with the University of Maryland Medical Center were able to successfully transplant a pig’s heart into 58-year-old Lawrence Faucette on Wednesday, who was facing death with end-stage heart disease, the doctors announced Friday—marking just the second time this procedure, which doctors hope leads to a breakthrough in saving the lives of terminal heart disease patients, has been performed.

the shocking news about the transplantation of pig organ into humans continues, the article above passed by on my time line and i was quite surprised to read it, as reported by the article, this is the second attempt to transplant a pig's heart into a dead human body and they say that quite successful even though it only took a few seconds, on the site it is also written that the pig's heart has been modified in such a way, in the future it is not impossible that this will become a reality, we will see many patients who need heart donors survive because of this breakthrough, but the Researchers still need a long time to decide whether this will be successful in placing it in the human body for a long time.
712  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Gambling affect your relationship? on: September 22, 2023, 07:57:34 PM
Yes, Gambling addiction has strained a lot of relationships through financial instabilities emotional turmoil, social isolation, and family problems. Gambling which was meant to be a popular kind of entertainment for many and was designed to provide a temporary escape from everyday life and also help one to be more observant mentally task your brain and it is also good for your mental brain. When it becomes an addiction it causes financial strain the strain can manifest in various ways including the loss of shared savings, debt accumulation, and financial secrecy which may lead to strained communication between partners. This communication breakdown can prevent couples, friends, and associates from working together.
gambling cannot possibly affect social life but gambling addiction can really disrupt our social life,
- if you are addicted to gambling you will definitely beg your friends to borrow money and will never return it,
- if you are addicted to gambling you will definitely be at odds with your partner because You spend most of your time gambling,
- if you are addicted to gambling, all you can think about is money and your desire to commit a crime is really big,

so the problem here is not gambling but gambling addiction.
713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 21, 2023, 08:35:43 PM
That is nothing but facts stated but that is not the major importance now for As Roma. Long since they raised the League Cup, the Seria A. Jose Mourinho should channel that energy used to talk about the past Into winning one of the big major cup games and Competitions.
Lose are bad to experience but no matter what happens and the consequences one must always learn the lessons that are associated with lose. Jose Mourinho did all he could do but Sevilla seem to have extra luck and effort involved in winning the Europa League
I want Roma to win the Seria A but that can not happen with the squad of Jose Mourinho
what's going on here, it seems that many still haven't accepted Roma's defeat to Sevilla in the last European League lol

Quote
At the press conference session on Wednesday (20/09/2023), Jose Mourinho again touched on AS Roma's defeat to Sevilla in the Europa League final last season.

In this match, AS Roma lost after a penalty shootout. However, according to Jose Mourinho, his team did not lose that match.

Jose Mourinho referred to the controversy created in the match, especially the leadership of referee Anthony Taylor.

the 2-1 win against the sheriff in the European League group phase made many fans happy and one of Roma's goals was scored by Lukaku, it seems like a good decision to accommodate lukaku into the team, so far he has had a really good impact on Roma's attack line.  Even though Roma are in 12th place in the Serie A standings, at the end of the season I'm sure they will be in a better place.  Jose Mourinho is still very competent in coaching Roma, Roma's performance is quite stable.
714  Economy / Economics / Re: You can't meet all your needs/desires at once, even if you spend all your salary on: September 21, 2023, 02:16:48 PM
There are still many people who don't understand which needs are priority needs and which are non-priority needs, for example my little sister, she and her friends are already talking about buying an iPhone 15 when it comes out, honestly when i heard this i just shook my head, often people buy non-priority things just because they want to be recognized in their social circle even though if they are good friends, they definitely don't look at their friends based on the luxury items they own.  it doesn't matter if everyone wants to buy the things they really dream of, but the things that people must prioritize are savings, investment and also a stable income.
715  Economy / Gambling / Re: Slot Educational on: September 21, 2023, 06:57:49 AM
Except in the developed countries, the sex education was not implemented in any developing country. So it’s very hard to implemented the gambling education,it may be suitable one for the developed nation. It may suitable to the country where gambling is approved by the their country. This will be the approved by the developed country government.US,Belgium,Australia,Canada are the countries people were allowed to do gambling on their wish.So the gambling education must be implemented in this country as first. If it will be successful one,the same can be followed by the other developing nation.
I agree that in developed countries where gambling is legal they can implement gambling education if they wish. Everyone is gambling openly there also the biggest gamblers in the big casinos in London are from the oil rich Arab countries, where men and women come to gamble on an equal footing then there are the Chinese and the Russians. But in many countries of the world gambling is considered illegal and everyone in the society hates it, so gambling education program is not possible.
i don't know what the education system is like in developing countries, but providing education about gambling is very beneficial for many parties, apart from the negative impacts that might be experienced, education about gambling in countries where gambling is legal is usually accompanied by things related to consumer protection, as well as what the ideal age is and what conditions must be met to gamble.  however, education about gambling can be included as the CSR of each gambling site, apart from the profits they will make, they can also attract more sympathy from players and also the government.
716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Navigating the World of Online Gambling on: September 21, 2023, 06:28:06 AM
All gamblers both new comers and old ones are awared that there are two things in gambling either to win or to loss so there is no too much awareness again about the dangers of gambling. They are already awared before coming to the gambling section. All casinos are meant to make profit so if they are meant to beat you then it is their luck and if you beat them then you win. And that is why before you play a new game in casino site, you have to read the T/C and probably if possible learn how to play the game before playing the real game so you will know how to play the game. The things Op mentioned before navigating to a casino site are all God to know before embarking on the casino site.
Gambling is not just about winning or losing, but how do you keep your mentality stable too, even if you win big but if you can't withdraw your money from the gambling site then it's pointless, i'm sure the majority of people who get stuck in withdrawal problems on a gambling site because they didn't read the TOS first are beginners, usually they are lazy;
1. find out the reputation of the online gambling site
2. check the reviews and legitimacy of the gambling site
3. check the age of the gambling site
4. ask other members whether the bonuses offered are legit
5. read the Term of Service

Yeah, pretty fair: give me 2K with no questions, but you won't be able to get a penny without fulfilling the rules. I'ts a regulatory joke. Even is a gambler trap: " I'll try to make it a big ammount so it's worth it to do the paperwork, then you loose. Unacceptable
stay away from this gambling site mate, this is cheating, on all gambling sites there is no KYC for making deposits lol, believe me, when you one day will withdraw your funds or your winnings, they will make it difficult, it's very good that you read the TOS first because usually people are quite lazy about reading them and in the end, they get stuck when they want to make a withdrawal.  In this forum we have many online casinos that are proven to be very honest, open, trustworthy and have been reviewed by trusted members, while the online gambling sites out there only have fake reviews.
718  Economy / Economics / Re: Early Retirement [Pros and Cons] on: September 20, 2023, 09:29:37 PM
early retirement really sounds boring to me, i work for myself and my family, i also have other needs that must be met every day, i'm running a small business here and it's never crossed my mind to retire early, still being productive is the best way to live a life imo.  my family has a fairly large cattle farm, 3 times a year we visit it and of course i will feel bored there because i am used to doing my busy life here, i enjoy what i do (just like when i was on this forum)

some people have the right to retire early or not, they must know what they are doing, so that there are no regrets in the future.
719  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Honest question, what to think about “crypto” affiliates or influencers? on: September 18, 2023, 07:00:36 PM
Just wondering for the sake of it, if crypto trading was so profitable for so many influencers and YouTubers, why would they care so much about affiliate money…? Why take the trouble of creating, editing and uploading so many videos? Does this mean that if you see any YouTuber or crypto “celebrity” pumping a product or trying to make a buck out of content, that you should run away from them? ‘Cos why take so much trouble if you are already making money with your trading? Of course not everyone is a trader, but…
creating video content for YouTube or so on is not more difficult than trading, i know there are some influencers who don't make anything from trading but only make money from affiliate rewards that they distribute through their content links.  Just pay attention to influencers who diligently upload videos on all their social media accounts, do they have time to trade? Trading is not an activity for 1 hour or 5 hour, but for many hours. Apart from that, when you are tired of trading, you still have the enthusiasm to make videos! their work is purely as content creators, they only use their trading activities to attract viewers to register through their affiliate links, trusting them is fine but don't trust them 100%.
720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2023/2024 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: September 18, 2023, 02:23:45 PM
Tottenham have really been awesome so far.  Smiley  Kane has left the team maybe but they are even much better than last season. The main reason is Ange Postecoglou's good system of course. It looks like Tottenham finally have a manager who managed to improve the teamwork among the players.

I was really glad to see Richarlison making a direct effect on the last match right after he was subbed in too. He was cut from the starting eleven due to his poor effort before. But this effort against Sheffield was amazing.

However there is a really challenging fixture is waiting for Tottenham now. First they are playing vs Arsenal away and right after that vs Liverpol home.  Sad
what happened to tottenham this season, it's really mind blowing, even in their last five matches tottenham have not been defeated. facing Sheff Utd a few days ago, Tottenham's performance was really extraordinary, they were able to control the ball up to 71% even though Tottenham's two goals came in the last minute.

Chelsea is one of the big teams that has had poor performance since the start of this season, from their last 5 matches, Chelsea were only able to win 1, draw 2 times and lose 2 times, facing Bournemouth yesterday, Chelsea's attack was really dull, Chelsea's front line was strong. It's really chaotic, Pochettino's arrival doesn't change anything.
