701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Danger that awaits few coins on: January 13, 2020, 06:44:22 PM

Projects will just rely on different usecase of their token to be used by its community. The bigger the community the move volume it could have and price may go higher than some tokens. I like to see some of the tokens I hold which are mostly exchange tokens and it will just be used in the platform.

BTC seem to be a better coin of course just like some other coin that are POW and that miners will tend to sell for higher price.
702  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You the local Bitcoin joke in town? on: January 12, 2020, 08:39:38 PM

This has happened to me personally at my office as I was one of the Bitcoin talker all the time and tried to tell everyone that this is the next step of evolution in money. But this was when the price was around 1000-2000$ price and then there was a dump and I became on of the Bitcoin *Joker* at office. But then the price came back up like it happens all the time. Now, even when the price downed by 50% from its all time high my colleagues dont joke on me, they know that it will turn again.

Thats why I never discussed bitcoin in my office. In my country not many knows about bitcoin and its useless to discuss and convince them this is coming technology. Moreover people in your office will either make fun of you or get jealous of you that you are doing good with this. They will get to know with time.
Either do I especially on my friends. I don't want to be blame at the end if they'll loss their investment nor they'll just after is the profit that they could had. They wouldn't remember how you help them instead. Just a fact. 🙊

Better to just sit in silence and enjoy your pofit.  Grin

That is exactly what I will do from now on. I wouldn't talk about anything related to BTC and cryptocurency though its very obvious because I have shared some articles in my facebook about anything related to BTC. I wish I didn't share because like some of you, I become the go to guy whenever they talks drift to cryptocurrency or investments and sometimes it ends up with why am I still driving the old car I have after BTC reaches $20000.

703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is now the right time to buy altcoin? on: January 12, 2020, 07:39:40 PM
It must be the right time to buy the right altcoin. There are altcoins that isn't rising and that isn't the right altcoin to buy. I find EOS to have been going up steady and there is also Chainlink and Tezos. Some altcoins are not moving up and your guess why must be what we thought it is. There are just tokens that are more useful than the rest.
704  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good sign for market on: January 12, 2020, 06:26:43 PM

Really a good sign today and its very visible to the charts and prices today that altcoins are also growing along with BTC. The one the I notice the most which I also bag some is the EOS. Its a leap of price considering how it was in the past few months where there is no spikes at all. I got tired trading that I withdraw them to stake it but now it seem worth to trade it already.
705  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Closing Price On 2019? What do you think this year 2020 will be? on: January 12, 2020, 05:08:01 PM

If we are to follow the pattern, BTC will really go beating the ATH of 2017 price but I wouldn't be expecting that much since it will only disappoint me if its price don't even go up to $10k. What I would be busy doing will just be accumulating and collecting more BTC. Its believed to go up if its not going to be able to do it this 2020.
706  Economy / Economics / Re: What is safe asset? And If USA dollar weakining what is Next Fiat? on: January 12, 2020, 04:18:25 PM

If USD will weaken, then all else fiat currency will also weaken like the Yuan but if its gong to be less affected due to the country's economic stability, it could be acceptable. Why not BTC, I think its best to use decentralize currency but then the miners being in China are going to be the tech issues are that other countries will oppose the use of it.
707  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin fail if Satoshi is found? on: January 11, 2020, 06:25:07 PM
Nobody knows for what would happen if some day Satoshi is found/discovered but it will get international press coverage. That in-turn will hopefully add to the intrigue surrounding the whole thing and with that a whole new wave of crypto investors and enthusiasts just might be joining the gang.
You are right, I am so familiar with bitcoin that I forgot that the identity of satoshi is probably one of the greatest mysteries of the last decade and the longer that this last the greater the mystery becomes, if at some point satoshi is found without a doubt there is going to be great press coverage about it all over the world, however it is also possible that the media will begin to try to attack bitcoin by using character assassination techniques and slow down the increase in the adoption of bitcoin that this revelation could have.

Agree to that. A lot of stories will be invented about him if he is really found, the history of a person can always be twisted to look bad for anyone and media destroys just about anything or anyone when the people behind it are powerful enough like the banks. You can always wonder why Craig Wright weren't getting attention to the media like on TV like CNN and gets bat by media.
708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The Top Performing Altcoin In 2020 on: January 11, 2020, 05:20:39 PM
The year has just started but obviously ETH had the most support from the altcoin supporters. We have been expecting a lot to ETH since they announced to move to POS but the delay had got some thinking of what could happen. My support to the project will probably make its worth if the price also prove. I'm seeing EOS to be moving faster as well to platform battle.
709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: A book about success and failure in crypto. on: January 11, 2020, 04:46:50 PM
There will be people who are interested in reading particularly the marketing individuals in crypto, its just that marketing this book again will prove its author to be a good marketing person. I think this will be more interesting if is not a book but an online blog instead that will be open for public to comment on it. The author may also  be making money out of it from ads.
710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Preferred altcoin for bullrun? on: January 10, 2020, 07:35:47 PM
Outside the top 50, I'm betting my money on Blocknet

Leading in the DEX development, and was the first project to even release a DEX.
Decentralized Oracles through their XRouter services. Pretty bullish on this one  Cool

Price of the coin was more than $50 during that bullrun in 2017, I missed the opportunity. If the price will really go up that much this time around, you;d be lucky to have at least 1000 of the coin. I know you have some of it I guess we can just all bet for the tokens we own. My money is on Cardano so if the project will successfully made if this year, its also going to be a success for me.
711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How easy is it to start your own crypto exchange? on: January 10, 2020, 06:09:16 PM

The only way I see this would work is by designing a P2P exchange site where people can trade crypto in-person without the need to comply with KYC/AML. At least, that's the way the "Local Bitcoin Cash" site has been doing today.

I have seen in their ToS, the users who use their services is accept their own country's law, although this is not charged to the exchange, but the law in each country still applies. The fear is that if a user violates cryptocurrency laws in his country which causes him to get into trouble, because most internet providers are overseen by the government.

Its a very risky to do meetups when the country's law doesn't allow cryptocurrency, I would rather be selling coins thru DEX exchanges than going into such path. You'll never knew the person you intend to meet is a government agent.  Meetups alone is dangerous to do even when crypto is allowed in your country.
712  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Any crypto owners interested to be interviewed? I’ll of course reward you. on: January 10, 2020, 06:00:12 PM

If its not going to ask hours and hours of my day I can answer the google document but not a video interview. If needs identification, I can only offer my bitcointalk profile link nothing else. There was a project who did this a month ago, I think it was Revain project where they give out $80 worth of their Revain token. Now that you are offering 0.1 ETH, I think it can be done and I can only assume you only have few questions for that amount.
713  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin going beyond $14,000 before May, history repeating itself on: January 10, 2020, 05:39:53 PM

Bitcoin is now very popular, this is the most awaited year of all where halving will happen. Those who are not really a blockchain aficionado will not mind but once the news is out that the cycle is about to repeat itself those people will take their money out from the banks to try to profit from the bullrun. $20k may just be the too little when we reach the next ATH stop.
714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Verus (VRSC) - zk-SNARK privacy, CPU-mining, 50/50 POW/POS, fair launch on: January 09, 2020, 04:19:16 PM
Anyone staking this coin and if so do you have an optimal stake size you are staking in order to get the best results given the recent network change and growing difficulty?

i am staking this coin. 40k averages for a daily stake. Smiley if you want you could join a staking pool https://veruscoin.io/getVRSC.html there are several available.

That is a nice chunk, sounds like its not worth staking unless you have a chunk like that and stake pools seem pretty inconvenient. I appreciate the feedback and wish you continued success with your daily staking.

But its not worth either when there is less volume to the coin. It needs to add more features to attract more volume to this coin and then you can add it to well known exchange as well.  Maybe bittrex or crex24 for now, it has to add up to get more volume. Crypto market needs to have more privacy coin for us to have move option and the cheaper ones with good volume are just what we may need.
715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Celsius Network - what's your view on it? on: January 09, 2020, 03:27:00 PM

You mean this Celsius project?  I'm not one of the investors but seem legit.

Its been created since 2017 and it seem to have lived still after the long bear market. I'm not sure if they are worth investing but if they have been here still after this havoc strike. I'm damn sure they still can be here. Its still listed in few exchanges.
716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance CEO finally admitted shilling both BTC and BNB on: January 09, 2020, 02:38:39 PM

Did he really use the word shilling?
Well,  if he promotes his project the right way, like showcasing  what makes it better than others, that wouldn't be a problem. I guess if a project has nothing great to promote or  the developers fear it doesn't  meet "important Blockchain standard", the only option left for them is shilling.

Not saying bnb isn't a good coin. Am more focused on binance projects. None is really decentralized as far as I can tell.

He said it in the tweet. https://twitter.com/cz_binance/status/1215206248175558656

I'm sure its not just him that does it to promote ones coin, its to market his own project and just like the other developers who shills. Its true that what is good for BTC is also good for BNB or any other altcoin as well. Those who invested to ETH also shills for ETH, its nothing new.
717  Economy / Economics / Re: Iran/US tension's effect on crypto and economy ? on: January 09, 2020, 09:54:10 AM

Well we all need oil for our machines, this will affect the prices and so inflation takes place. I fill my tank with $20 but if the gasoline price inflates, I may not be able to do it with $20. The tension is slowly calming though, the war thankfully might not happen after all. It could have made us all suffer the inflation and possibly bring us to war.

718  Economy / Speculation / Re: How is the situation with Iran affecting the price on: January 09, 2020, 08:26:29 AM

Looks like a buy high sell low example. I have done that several time in the past, you haven't done the worse yet after all the price hasn't drop a thousand. The possibility of war I think contributed the panic buying of BTC but its not just it because right now investors knew halving is coming, if you just wait the price will eventually go up. Keep watching the hourly chart for oversold signals.
719  Economy / Speculation / Re: $9k next week on: January 08, 2020, 08:58:43 PM
i dont think it is good to reach 9k that fast. i prefer to have a strong resistence point around 8k and stay just above this point for a few weeks. because sharp ups brings also weaker buy resistance below.

And that its why its taking a breath for now, the climb is just too steep. It might really have to stay at $8000-$8500 for a period of time before it goes up again. I could be wrong but it has to gain momentum before going up again. $9 next week seem happening too fast. While we btc rising fast, ETH and some altcoins are not following up.
720  Economy / Economics / Re: New bill would make Facebook’s cryptocurrency a security under the law on: January 08, 2020, 07:46:02 PM
Why go to another bill just so the government could still control it.
They are giving Mark a lot of hard work and something to think.

There is a faster solution to it. Put it in the garbage and close it. Wait for the dump truck to take it then bury it.  Grin
They are putting too much efforts into something that could also jeopardize their financial system.
Actually the libra coin will be a big help to their economy and its not gonna jeopardize their financial system. We are all using the facebook social media application and I think after the libra coin will be launched, more facebook user will support and buy these coin. So it will be a big helo and income to the team and also for the government

The government however will want more control over it. They are giving facebook hope for its launch which is why they didn't really kill it but will just want more laws that can hold facebook before it can control them instead. Facebook had done more damage since the last election of US which put Trump there, they are not allowing facebook to have more authority than the US gov.
