With regards to all the comments about the mobile wallets. The new iOS wallet works fine i.e. it opens up and processes transactions the only problem is that I can't seem to open up the QR code scanner. I've got an iPhone 5c so maybe you guys could have a look at that? I don't know if its just my phone but feedback is key to any app's success so hope it helps!
What's the name of the app I'll check it out? It is de Digibyte wallet, You can download it in the google appstore or itunes store. |

My android wallet keeps crashing when I start it. Is there any way to backup my keys without using the actual wallet?

Did you send any Digibytes to the wallet? Did you try to take out your battery and restart? I dont think there is a way to backup your keys without a wallet. Maybe try to find the files on your phone. Copy them to your computer.Delete Digibyte wallet and download a new wallet and then replace your files. (Risky) I think there are coins in the wallet yes. It's coins that were on Mintpal when it exploded, but when you could still withdraw. Unfortunately I was never able to verify since the wallet crashed on opening. This problem is long going by now. I hoped it would resolve with updates on the wallet, but it was not. Meanwhile my device is upgraded from android 4 to android 5.1 (nexus 4), but that also didnt help. I also did some research to see if it is possible to get the files from the device, but little is to be found. Too bad its not just a wallet.dat file you could copy from the device |

It is fun to watch people panicking when a few millions of DGB is dumped...
However, do not forget this is a long term project and Jared is here for the long run.
He earned this reputation so difficult and he wont give up on DGB...
I still hold a lot of DGBs and I have not bought much recently...
I do not know who dumps, but it is good for me to buy at cheap, even more millions of DGB...
It could be some insiders as well to buy cheap, because I expect something cool is about to get released....

and whoever is stacking up the sell orders is doing it right as far as I'm concerned. This is better than meeting bids which puts a lower value on digibyte while when someone buys at the ask, the price moves up!
Maybe,,But i think that he just dont want Digibyte to go up, Not yet.This sell order book has increased by x4 after the announcement of this week and i'm almost shure that when we touch 51 almost all orders will be gone. and if some people had not dumped over 50m coins this week, we would already be there! Totally agreed but that is what i'm thinking,,,They want lower prices before getting in bigtime.I think they will get butthurt. |

I said the same when i was your age  me too and I have two!  The problem with plans is that they can go wrong. Talking about plans...just to say something about that with regards to how i see the Digibyte Team and Jared are dealing with it. With good amount of knowledge about Bitcoin, Blockchain, Cryptocurrency and whatever that is related to them, PLUS some foresight, which Jared and the Digibyte Team clearly have them, the chances of going wrong will be greatly reduced. One example: I have been keeping track of Bitcoin Reddit threads, including CoinTelegraph, CryptoCoinNews, Bitcoin Magazine, CoinDesk, NewsBTC, Bitcoinist and a few Google Searches for certain bitcoin related topics, for the past 6 months. I check all of them at least once every morning for new updates and news. Just recently like somewhere beginning of this month (May 2015), there were several threads talking about Bitcoin's block size being too small and how it will cause problems if it doesn't increases. I do not know if it was a hot topic before but to the best that my memory can serve me, its the first time for me seeing such a subject being so widely talked about...for the past 6 months. NOW, when was Digispeed mentioned to the public or at least on this forum? it was on March 26, 2015 by Jared. You may look up on his past posts from his forum user profile. Before this 'block size' became a hot topic on the internet, Digispeed was already announced at least 1 month before that. But of course, they have already *thought* and *brainstorm* about it way before that date, way before announcing it. This clearly shows that the Digibyte Team has already foreseen some problems that are ahead of us. And they were already on to it to address these problems even before i started typing this post. AND that's just the block size. There are so many other things that i have not mentioned. Think a little about what they had done so far, what they are planning to do so far. And you will know, Digiman will be the next Gundam in Japan when it goes global. Now you mention this,,Indeed all of a sudden this is a hot topic for Bitcoin but will they do something about it? It is already so big that a hardfork will take ages and so many Bitcoins will get lost.... I think Digibyte has time for 1 more hardfork and then focus on the mainstream channels and get them into and using Digibyte. And BTW,,,Who is stacking up his sell orders? Late in the game and don't want Digibyte to go up,,,Whats your plan buddy? Would love to see someone pick up all these sells and leave the man behind |

Dreaming is good it keeps us alive and moving forward with desires, hope but sometimes overshooting it can be dangerous in the crypto world. Lots of people going blind into it under this impression its a 100% sure thing.
I think the above quote from your post nails it, people doing this have the wrong approach, wrong mindset, and it's bound to end in tears. "Spending what you can afford to lose".... Much happier ending regardless of the outcome Exactly. Of course, when you invest in something, you want something in return eventually, but that's not the point. The point is to make a success of DigiByte. Wouldn't be awesome to say in 5y: "Yeah son, I was part of it from the beginning!". Not planning to have a son in 5 years...... |

I just took position #4 on http://www.richlist.eu/digibyteJared seriously should be more vocal and PR like. If he is focus on programming someone should fill this void. Someone that talks to him regularly that has a knack for public appeal. DGB needs this to progress. Very nice and i'm sure they are in good hands Jared is working around the clock at this moment on several projects. I am in direct contact with Jared and everything i think is worth mentioning to him i will give him a notice about and place this on the Digibyteforum.com so it won't get lost so easy.As you might have seen i changed my signatures, There has been some talking with Jared about this and he will clarify it soon. I'm trying to do my very best to assist Jared in everything i can and help Digibyte as far as my knowledge goes but my daytime job is taking allot of my time.I have started my own store when i turned 20 years old and i'm running it for about 5 years now,Hard times offcourse in this financial shit we all are in now but things are progressing very well. Most of the projects offcourse are coming from Jared and the Digibyte team and a few from the community members and this really already is awesome to see! Some projects for Digibyte that will involve my store and it will blow everybody off his chair,, but more information will come later on,,I promise Together we will build the future of Digibyte,100% sure. What services are people currently investing into / making?
I'm doing some development work to merge gaming with crypto with DGB as the primary currency system. I want to keep it DGB to encourage growth etc but depending on the first 2 months use i may have to branch out to BTC or LTC not because of lack of DGB faith but more adoption. I will be pushing DGB hard though. I'm prolly 1-2 months off completion. Will announce when close to release.
Working on 2 projects for Digibyte / with Digibyte but really want to do this the right way so it will take some time. |
