You seem to be treating this IPO as though it's a pot of gumbo and if you tweak the recipe just right then it'll come together. You're trying to raise thousands of bitcoins from investors that have no reason to trust you with a poorly planned and implemented launch. When you change things after selling shares you risk alienating those that have already invested which in turn causes them to seek the exits even if it means a small loss. This is making it more difficult for you to raise funds as new investors are purchasing from old investors rather than from Hosted-Mining.
I wish you luck, but I think you face an uphill battle. He is working on a very short time frame. So I've gathered, but why should this matter to a potential investor? Adding on a "boiler plate" atmosphere to an already ill conceived contract would tend to make me more cautious not less so. look, short time frames are not fun but, hey the question is DOES this make sense, does it benefit me- that's all think about how many people jump on asic first day preorders on a "short time frame" - all i'm saying is that if it makes sense then it makes sense That's not the only question one should be asking when considering an investment. While ascertaining whether a given contract could potentially be profitable(and to what degree) or not is important, determining whether management has the vision, skill, and integrity to faithfully execute the contract is equally important. While I've no reason to question zif33rs' integrity, this thing has been poorly handled right out of the gate, which is a troubling sign. think about how many people jump on asic first day preorders on a "short time frame" - all i'm saying is that if it makes sense then it makes sense That seems a regrettable example. Those pre-order investors have nearly all been screwed over by one vendor or another.

Wow, BFL is already starting up with their tried and true scammer MO for their new product. Officially monarch is shipping in December and unofficially it's going to be a forever. Plus they're already whining about how many were ordered? At least now they needn't deal with those pesky CC and PP chargebacks initiated by investors when they finally recognize they've been scammed.

I could have sworn I saw DeaDTerra make a post about purchasing from other companies if they could get a better deal. Why was this post deleted? You saw it.

Thank you. It's going to be hot this week(for MI) and I don't think I can/should put off the purchase of cooling gear any longer so I'm going to look into that this evening. I believe we could see some benefit from deploying some strategically placed high velocity industrial 120v fans so I'm going to look into pricing several 14" and 20" units. Cheap retail box fans are next to useless as they don't move enough air. Cheers.

I've flashed av9 to firmware revision 20130703 after it "hung up" twice. That is to say everything seemed fine, but it wasn't hashing. It seems to be operating normally since the reflash. Wonderful news! Always one step ahead :-)
I'm tryin'. Keeping up with difficulty is quite a task of late. Cheers.

All three successfully flashed from 20130325 to 20130820. TY ckolivas for the firmware of the future!
They're all on autoclock starting at 350mhz. It'll take some time for them to find their operating ranges.

A pic of the blue fan beauties...

In fact. Flash Avalons, increase clockrate, consume pinot noir sangria, then news release, *THEN* front page...

All three new batch 1s are hashing. They're only running @ 300Mhz as I haven't yet flashed them, but they're all in tip top shape and working for us now. Hello 1.4Th/s.
Cheers.

Take it easy, long way to go.. You have to write some stories also, the big versions of whats on the btct.co details so you really can refer to the website and every soul knows what bASIC-Mining is about Copy + Paste...check.

225 - 250gh/s yes. They need a firmware update and some cooling mods to squeeze the most out of them, but batch 1s tend to overclock very well.
Cheers. Awesome! Any ETA of when they'll be up and fully functional? One hour, perhaps 90mins if there are snags. Avalons are easy to get along with. It'll take me a few days to a week to get them tuned to max performance, but they'll be up and running very soon.

I haven't read through this thread yet so I'm probably missing something...or at least I hope I am, but you're saying you need to sell 8500 more shares to activate a 5Th contract?
1500 + 8500 = 10k(shares) * .28BTC = 2800BTC
Perhaps the contract is better left unsigned?

Three perfectly packaged batch 1 Avalons received.

Elsewhere in the real world, putting down a deposit of 10% is considered reasonable, for items that can't be bought off the shelf. Why can't mining equipment have a similar scheme? It could, but as long as a percentage of investors are willing to offer 0% interest loans for pre-ordered vaporware, why shouldn't vendors take advantage?

Like how do you determine what is a good Gh/s to dollar ratio at any given difficulty? By profit? Yes. Projected time till you reach a positive ROI.
