I always hate these threads. It always boils down to the anarchists making well thought out arguments and solutions and then the statists saying, "YEAH BUT WUT ABOUT THE ROADZ!!1"
Lets at least make it fun this go around.

The definition of theft is taking without consent. A child understands this.
You can say that you like taxes but you must admit that it is theft. You can't have it both ways.

Thanks for the reply.. So no, I am depositing physical cash. So if I deposit this Monday morning and buy from Coinbase 30 minutes later there shouldn't be a problem?
|
|
|
So the banks are closed today on Sunday and my bank account is empty. Is it possible to buy today and deposit some money on Monday morning?

It will go back down to $220 once the Greek crisis stops being trendy in the news.

Willybot save us! Where are you Wilybot?

I think this is the first time since bitcoin was around where a country defaulted on a loan and shut the banks down keeping their people from their money. This is the wakeup call to people everywhere that you need to be prepared by owning some gold, silver and of course bitcoin.
oh yeah I borrowed the link below from knight22 explaining our currency system and incidentally you will understand what just happened in Greece will eventually happen to every country.
as far as i know this is not the first time this happened. if i am not mistaken it was Cyprus that had somewhat similar situation, and their situation lead to the great price pump of bitcoin. False. That was the result of Wily bot manipulation.

What does the daily chart transactions of Bitcoins mean? Does it mean that more people are using it? Or does it mean that the same people are using it more per person? I ask because the price is very volotile, but the number of daily transactions is a very stable upward trend. Here is the chart: https://www.coinbase.com/charts

I apologize for having to bring a little realism to this thread but..
No. Bitcoin will do POORLY in a crisis. Remember even gold collapsed 25% in the 2008 crash. The last thing on people's minds in a crisis is adopting some obscure speculative asset.

I'm just wondering from today's date (6/25/15) how long do we have until a decision HAS to be made about the fork? And I know how much you trolls like giving vague answers like 'it depends' but please ball park it. A week? A year? A decade? Thanks.

I don't understand where people are getting this notion that Bitcoin price will do well in an economic crash. It is way to volitile for anyone with sense to put their wealth into.

WTS Bitcoins for cheap. Pm for details.

When it finally gets to the point where a decision HAS to be made, Surley this will have a negative impact on the price no?

Guys, the stock market could pop any month now. Bitcoin will go down with it. That is the time to buy.
|
|
|
It will likely go down below $200 when the stock market inevitably corrects itself.
|
|
|
Not really a bubble. More like a 'POP goes the pimple'.
|

hmm well weve dropped back down to the 250 level but this is being held for now as there is some strong support atm on all exchanges but i think the next 24 hours are going to be crucial in signaling a rally or small crash back to normal levels...
If I had a satoshi for every time I heard that freaking saying I'd have a bitcoin. I know right?

It's kind of funny that everyone bad mouths this abstract concept called 'the bears' when the bears have actually been right.
That would be why we don't like them. For me at least it's not that. I just don't get why you can't be cheerful, respectful and bearish at the same time. Not too many seem to be able to pull that off. It seems to me that the bullish people are just as bad about being disrespectful.
