701  Economy / Economics / Re: When will more retailers accept Bitcoin on: July 16, 2017, 11:59:18 PM
"Japan: No Bitcoin Tax, Thousands of Stores to Accept the Cryptocurrency"

article published July, 5, 2017
https://edgylabs.com/2017/07/05/japan-no-bitcoin-tax-stores-accept-cryptocurrency/

"AirRegi is a widely used, tablet-based point-of-sale app in Japan. Currently, around 260,000 establishments, stores, and commercial facilities use this proprietary app to accept payments from their clients."

It makes sense that a transition to accept bitcoin would be underway for more US-based stores.

Retailers owners will accept bitcoin payment if they use bitcoin, if they consider bitcoin is profitable for their business.
So, if you want more retailers accept bitcoin, go on and ask them : what do they think about bitcoin? whether they want to use it or not, show to them bitcoin advantages and disadvantages. But, I doubt they will accept bitcoin if it still have two major problems regarding high fees and confirmation time.
702  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin vs Taxes on: July 16, 2017, 11:23:51 PM
I've heared that in some countries people have to pay the income tax after buying fiat for their bitcoins. Anyone faced such problem? If yes then how you deal with it in your country?
At one point of view  bitcoin is an instrument for investment so ppl buy it willing to get income in their currency.
At the other point it is a currency and it might be used with a purpose of saving. In this case the tax would be stupid.

Not in my country, even in Japan has abolished the rule of 8% consumption tax on bitcoin transactions. But, buy bitcoin require fee for miners and most people convert bitcoin through echanges which you have to pay fee in order to withdraw fiat currency, it's a common rule. I won't say it stupid, as the rule exist to make each other could get benefits, we should pay pennies to $1-$2 for their services.
703  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin just an asset ? on: July 16, 2017, 02:27:34 PM
People stated bitcoin as many things:
- digital currency
- digital gold
- commodity
- store of value
- asset
- and so on

But I prefer to bitcoin as a medium of exchange, whether you want to exchange it with goods or money and vice versa, it can be done as it happens everyday (maybe). The founder stated bitcoin as A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System
You can read this :
Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency, a digital asset designed to work as a medium of exchange that uses cryptography to control its creation and management, rather than relying on central authorities.

704  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You lose only if you sell on: July 16, 2017, 01:51:15 PM
I guess this is the end of "bitcoin price decreases", it won't decline any further than $1820. People know when to sell, and when the time to buy back because traders won't take so much risk to sell below that price. You are right, people will lose if they keep sell bitcoin instead of keep it due to bitcoin price already recover $100 within minutes and look at https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions, last time I checked it was 4K and right now over 12K, increase significant because sell and buy orders everywhere.
Hard fork will happen whether we like it or not, as devs team has stated it and advice us to secure our private key just in case.
Whether it will be segwit or segwit2x, only time will tell, just hope it will works smoothly and the price rise again.
705  Economy / Speculation / Re: Preparing for the BIG FEAST! on: July 16, 2017, 12:55:06 PM
I think you're exaggerating the situation. Yes, this drop enables people to buy back their coins at lower rates, but it's not like the price has gone down massively, or will go down massively. In order to let the panic really kick in, we have to break through various support levels, and then still it's not sure that we will tank below the $2000 level. We're down like 10% since yesterday, and in current circumstances, that's peanuts.

And here we are, on $1825 right now as the lowest point at coinbase. People keep spreading bad news about bitcoin and many people believe those news. On the other side, daily traders could make big profits during this uncertain big drop of bitcoin price. On the edge of hope, we're watching the price and keep in faith that it will rise so significant after segwit implementation. Just prepare your cash to cover daily expenses, so you do not trap at the moment when you desperate need cash while bitcoin price below $1800.

This is a great opportunity for others, they can both gain something in each and everyone. I would also like to join the Twitter or even the Philippines translation but I already here at the campaign. Maybe next time I will join in these translations but I recommended it to my friends though. I know these are a good project to join, this had a lot of potentials.

Please, do not quote whole the main page which Op posted, that's a big picture and annoying to see it in the last page as people looking for the latest news about Dimcoin development.
We know how dimcoin works and it should be a successful Ico as there are a lot of people attracted to the idea of dimcoin and aim for profits along with the ecosystem. Over BTC2379 and $5 Miliion USD has been collected during this opportunity for everyone.
707  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin got featured on Business Insider: Bitcoin vs. Gold on: July 15, 2017, 11:07:16 PM
Business Insider is a page on facebook with 7.5 Million likes. it is stated that bitcoin will soar to over $20K on 2022 by cannibalizing gold.

i don't know where they got this idea, they just basically did a comparison about bitcoin and gold.  Either way what can you guys say about this?

view the whole video https://www.facebook.com/businessinsider/videos/10154847897019071/, it got 1.9K likes and 263K views at the moment.

Right now, bitcoin price at $2,020 and they said over $20K in 5 years later, consider how much bitcoin could rise every year, it has slightly chance to reach that price imo. If bitcoin prices could increase as much $1,000-$,2000 every year, then it will be around $ $7,000-$12,000, but I will say bitcoin may reach over $10K. I don't think bitcoin could cannibalizing gold, because it has different value , usability and physical form which make it impossible, gold is precious metal and bitcoin is digital currency, it can be trade but can't be cannibalizing.
708  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you Panic? on: July 15, 2017, 02:52:50 AM
Whether its bitcoin trading or altcoin trading, there is bound to come a time when your investment is getting dumped badly, and its panic time.
How do you panic? Does that really make you panic and do you take decisions that you actually regretted later? Or do you keep calm and HODL?
What makes you panic and how do you react to it?

Bitcoin trading is far safer than altcoins trading imo, but altcoins trading could be more profitable than bitcoin trading due to pump and dump than might be happen significant in short time. So, I'm not so worry to see bitcoin prices decline but more cautious when its price rise like bull run whether I will sell or not, nor when the right time to sell. On the other side, altcoins trading will make panic when its prices decline as we know some coins won't recover for a long - long time, except for some famous altcoins.
709  Economy / Economics / Re: Your plans for 1st august? on: July 14, 2017, 11:59:43 PM
There are a lot of news about August 1st and we need to learn about it carefully, the split that may happen will be negligible according to administrator.
So, we have prepared before the date as they have suggested about it, such as secure our bitcoin (export the private key), withdraw bitcoin from exchanges and do not send transactions on that day. Beside that, I've prepared for crash or rise that might be happen after August 1st, but I'm sure it likely to rise, maybe reach over $3000 in August.
710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the future of asset tokenization? Tokenizing a house and such. on: July 14, 2017, 04:51:17 PM
Yeah, right now there is external responsibility in tokenizing assets. So there must be legal documents suporting the connection between assets and tokens. Smart contracts just make this process easier and way faster in terms of transfering partial ownership of assets through our LAT platfrom for example.

You did not answer his question, who or what enforces between the token and the actual assets ? You know that you need a legal document supporting the connection between assets and token but i can not see the document, doesnt that mean the document not ready yet ?
And what is the different between your peoject and rex (you can see it in altcoin announcement) and what make you better than that project(even thought it was only real estate, please explain it).
I liked your website

Ok. In our case, our company enforces the legal connection between the token and assets. Why? Because we(or our partners like banks that do the valuation) take responsibility for the valuation of assets that are being tokenized. Well, the whole idea is that you will be able to see a document of your partial ownership through tokens.

The difference from Rex? Our focus is not on selling real estate. Our focus is on tokenizing assets, creating a platfrom for many types of assets to be tokenized driving this crypto economy forward that is on a few levels better than the existing instruments. Why are we better? If there is REX is just a sell/buy marketplace. We actually bring blockchain and cryptoeconomics into our platform maiking it possible to tokenize Mona Liza, Egyptian Pyramids, your house. These are all assets. Your house is illiquid, Mona Liza is very illiquid and you would never even think about Egyptian Pyramids because they were never moved or salled. We make all these assets liquid. How? By creating a possibiliy of fractionizing ownership thorugh our blockchain platform.

If our company grows and it will. We will be taking over market after market of different assets. Purely because we have an advantage in safety/price/speed/global accessibility and so on.

Thank you for this question! Will be happy to answer more.

I don't get it, if your company doesn't sell it, then what's the point to tokenizing those asset? Who can claim/have it (house/mona liza)?
What the advantage for buyers/investors who purchase LAT tokens? Or we should have some certain amount of tokens that equal to the house or Egyptian Pyramids in order to get it? I don't know how someone could claim the whole pyramids.
711  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it a good time to sell ETH and buy BTC? on: July 13, 2017, 11:59:55 PM
Yes, it is a good time to buy btc and eth as its price still at this point and we know the potential of both of it could rise significant within weeks.
However, if you doubt whether bitcoin or ethereum prices will be drop futher in case of negative news regarding bitcoin, I suggest to wait until July 21th when they test segwit2x into the blockchain network, if many bitcoiners/miners support it then its price will rise and vice versa. For now, you can check on this site https://coin.dance/blocks

Is this your address? Because the address from the original picture is "1GwtZF9QFKWNqCRHLx1Y9adGcrhQSUnNfY".
Are you really photoshopping your own address to try to make a few bucks? That's what scammers do.

Nice catch, love to quote it and save this picture, lol.
This man really have courage to do such things as he could be ended be charged by legal authority, and he was dismissed from his office yesterday?
But, at least he made good profit through that events as; As for the sign holder, he apparently turned a nice profit either way. After this picture of him holding his bitcoin address was posted on Twitter, he reportedly received donations of more than $10,000 worth of bitcoin:

713  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can u turn 25$ to 5000$ in 6 months trading cryptos? on: July 12, 2017, 06:36:46 AM
anything is possible , I turn $200 into $15k in 2 months

I was surprised to read it can be done within 2 months, extraordinary. High capital means higher probability to collect more profit obviously, but what matter is the process to get there, wasn't easy right?
Maybe you can share your experiences and give some advice how to make it possible.
I always read some suggestions about trading say do it or don't do that, but maybe you can give us some lights about trading from your experiences.
714  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if I buy 3BTC now and forget about them for 10 years??? on: July 12, 2017, 01:42:18 AM
I am wondering, what would happened if I can get some cash to buy 3 BTC that means at the prices of this moment 1 BTC = 2,252 USD so would be 3BTC= 6,756 USD and forget that I Have them for 10 Years???

Will I be rich??
Will I have lost all the money??
Will I have just make a few extra dollars??

Would you do it??

Right now, there are some prices decline and it seems bitfinex show the lowest exchange rate around $2224 and may continue to decrease. And the highest price rate since May 22th maybe around $2800-$2950, if you've bought 3 bitcoin when it was $2252 and sold it at $2900, then you should get $1944 profits. But, if you didn't sell it, don't worry. I will definitely take the chance to buy bitcoin whenever dip occurs and wait for 10 years later, my bitcoin value will increase obviously just like what happens all this time.
715  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Summer Sale Now On!! on: July 11, 2017, 07:17:51 PM
I sold some coins to be able to buy some cheaper coins in a week or two. I know many newbies will see this drop as a mini dump and I will be ready to fill my bags when they panic. Once SegWit is activated and the scaling issues are finally laid to rest, the developers will target Bitcoin as the preferred payment option and the price will skyrocket once again. You will also see people who used Alt coins for cheap micro transactions, coming back to Bitcoin. They currently use Alt coins and then they have to convert back to Bitcoin to be able to use and this is impractical.

Buy when other people panic. ^heh^

An easy way to make money while others panic sell what they've saved in wallet.
A tricky way I guess, which always happens in trading market wherever it is, so be prepared and read the charts movement in order to prevent big loss or get profits. Right now bitcoin price seems started to increase again, not sure if it will decline any further below $2300.
Yes, it's still a good price to buy more coins as mostly still on bloody day trading, just like Op said : fill your bags.
716  Economy / Economics / Re: When to buy and sell bitcoin on: July 11, 2017, 04:59:46 PM
When is the best time to buy bitcoin and when do you think is the best time to sell?
I think its a great time to buy now but when is a good time to sell (if you have any idea please share)

I admit we can't predict the right time to buy at lowest and sell at highest prices. So, it's hard to find someone to tell you the best time to buy or sell, except for speculation and guessing game. And there are some people who knows about pump and dump information, but there's no point to tell those informations to Public.
Just like last drop back to $2300 level is the best time to buy and wait for uncertain time you want to sell it, whether in short term or for long term.
717  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I'm panicking, tell me it will be OK... on: July 11, 2017, 01:14:44 PM
~snip~

I have patience, I'll hold for years, that's not a problem, but my imagination has me thinking that the cryptobubble just burst and we'll never see prices like the past few months again. Just somebody PLEASE tell me this thought is stupid and completely without merit. That I'm not the only one hodling. To uninstall Blockfolio so that I'm not constantly grabbing my phone. That we will see 3k again by the end of the year. That it will all be OK in the end...

I'm also open to any suggestions you vets have on how you get through these times. Experience?

T.

If you have patience for years, than why still need reassurance? Don't take it so serious dude, current dump is just a manipulation to make some weak hand to sell their coins at cheaper price, so they could buy more bitcoin as it will increase significantly in the next month. Nonetheless, it doesn't matter whether it drop right now or it will continue to decline next month because you can hold for years. I suggest to you, do not look at bitcoin price until the time you decide to wake up in the morning and check bitcoin price, maybe in 5 years later.  Bitcoin has been proven as a good investment and its value always growing as time goes on, hopefully in 5 years later you could get more profit than what you've invested.
718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hard fork statement by freebitco.in on: July 11, 2017, 09:27:42 AM
Like they said, we should be prepared for the worst scenario if the chain will split. Many people have withdraw their funds/bitcoin out of the exchanges and just put few amounts just in case. Well, as long as your exchanges is trusted, then there's nothing to worry about.
The most important thing is whether this segwit2x will be activated and works for bitcoiners without big problem/bugs which cause harm for bitcoin environment.
719  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price will drop before bouncing back : Goldman Sachs on: July 10, 2017, 11:37:18 PM
If I know it will happen than I could buy more bitcoin. Whether investors want to cash out in order to make bitcoin price fall significantly to buy back at the dip. Great profits to get after 1-2 months later I think due to bitcoin price will rise after segwit activated (if it activated). However, it is a good chance to buy more bitcoin at cheaper price, and if it will drop until $1857 again which I doubt, then I should wait for that chance obviously.
720  Economy / Economics / Re: How long could bitcoin last? on: July 10, 2017, 08:01:26 PM
The easiest way to answer it > we don't know how long bitcoin could last as we can't predict what will happen in the future. Even the most well known internet experts of the 90’s couldn’t predict exactly what the internet would become today and just how many different ways we use it, the same goes for bitcoin.
Do you know what Mr. Satoshi said?
Quote
In a few decades when the reward gets too small, the transaction fee will become the main compensation for nodes.  I'm sure that in 20 years there will either be very large transaction volume or no volume.

We will know in 12 years later after bitcoin fees reduced and miners need more bitcoin to run their mining farm, whether they will continue to support bitcoin community or leave it.
