701  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: September 19, 2020, 01:13:05 AM
Being a professional basketball players, I don't think that their willpower will be removed just by what happened in Game 2.
Yelling and throwing some items on the locker room? That just their way of releasing their frustration after leading by double digits and yet lost again for the 2nd straight time but I don't think it as a negative all the way. In the end, they will go back to the drawing board, make some adjustments and win the game and at least the series.

Even though I'm saying that, I will still predicting Miami to win in 5-6 games Tongue Cheesy.

I don't even know why is this a big thing.

It is true that they made a ruckus about that but I think they should also consider that they are professional players, they are playing for years now and that is something that's done out of frustration. If I am in his shoes, I will be frustrated too but I can't blame that to all of my teamates since we just have that time we can't play that great and another thing is that their opponent is so great in this playoffs. They gotta release that so they could perform well in the next game.

It will help him yes but I don't think that this will be the scenario forever or in the long run at least.
There will be a time where this will end. Where comfort will end.

Still good that the addicted gambler has a friend who is willing to help him to go out from his addiction but his help isn't enough. He still needs to help himself in order to win on this or he needs the help of professionals for him to get out from gambling addiction.

For me, this is the reason why I don't spend too much in gambling. I don't want myself to end like this.

I guess that is something that would hit to him.

As the OP help his friend, I know there times that his friend will have this in his mind that he needs to help himself. His friend(the OP) can't always be there for him and if he will not make anything great for himself he will never get his family back. We are the same in terms of being anxious in gambling since we never know, we might be addicted and that is why I usually evaluate what I am doing and what should I do.
703  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should bitcoin be introduced into the educational sectors on: September 18, 2020, 12:10:06 PM
Bitcoin is great but I think Blockchain technology is better.

I was asked in a school about it and it is kind of embarrassing since they just asked me spot on about it. But what I am more surprised is that usually, people ask about Bitcoin and how they could earn from it but these people are asking about Blockchain technology and how they function. It is being introduced but in a way that they are not being pressured to know it. I was asked three times about it since they are telling me they just knew it is "the technology behind a digital coin" as they said it.
704  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do scams harm Bitcoin's reputation in the mainstream world? on: September 18, 2020, 11:02:46 AM
They definitely damage the reputation of the industry and slow down its development. But unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to change this completely.

It does damage the reputation it has but I don't think it would slow down development.

With the price increases, more and more people are using Bitcoin and that also means having a lot of transactions. The developers have seen a lot of things just from that and we are not even in a massive adoption that we wanted for a long time. We can change this by giving them information that could prove that this is not a scam, still it is on them whether they wanted to use it or not.
705  Economy / Speculation / Re: sell now or you WILL regret it on: September 18, 2020, 10:08:59 AM
This is the best time to hold on as we are just scratching and preparing for the bullrun. The end will pay off for those with strong hands.

Since we didn't pass through the wall of $12K, I am also telling my friends this.

I think that this might be just a back turn for the price to be ready for the higher goal in the next few months. The price is doing well as it hits again $11K and went down again which might just go back after some time. With the fast regain that happened, I don't think most of us sold our Bitcoin so I think most of us are still waiting for that pump to happen.
706  Economy / Economics / Re: Food prices doubled this year on: September 18, 2020, 07:55:19 AM
It is also happening.

Most of the crops in the cities came from the provinces usually far from the city and with the pandemic happening right now, transporting them is a problem for these farmers. With the price of transporting slowly getting higher, the price of these crops are also increasing which will lead to higher price of these crops. We all feel inflation.
707  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID19 VACCINE AND ECONOMIC GROWTH? on: September 18, 2020, 07:02:02 AM
It is true though, except for Russia's Sputnik.

I am not saying that it is already a successful vaccine, I am saying that despite the lack of information since Russe is not leaking any of it said that it is fine and they already list it up as the first vaccine on the market. This is the reason why doctors are not suggesting this vaccine since it is still a risk, with a lot of vaccine being developed, most of them are still in phase III and it is true that people can't wait that long. They are starving, they need to get back to their jobs.

Sputnik is not the only vaccine available at the market right now. The Chinese army is vaccinating their soldiers with the Sinovac vaccine. And the WHO hasn't approved any of these vaccines. Some of the analysts are saying that the WHO is biased against non-Western pharmaceutical firms. I don't completely agree with them, but at this point we have only two options and they are from China and Russia.

Yeah, that's the other one.

Time is really running out right now and that is why waiting for a more reliable vaccine is not another option but doctors and other people are not agreeing with this that why they are enot suggesting these two which I think makes them pick the option of waiting since it is for the best of their patients and for the best of the country as well.
708  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do think about skill games? on: September 18, 2020, 06:00:03 AM
But I saw some issues about not fair on the house part for using the provably fair algorithm, so I assume that is a form of cheating.

That is obviously cheating.

This is the one of the more reasons why these luck-based games are unreliable since we don't know whether we have bad luck at that day or it is the house playing games on us, they are just taking advantage of us gamblers. We should check these games and these provably fair houses by checking it which is told in this thread made by webtricks.
709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is Addictive...Pay Attention to your Gambling Habit!!! on: September 18, 2020, 05:36:05 AM
Hats off to you buddy for taking care of your friend.

That is the best thing you can do right now, let him feel your comfort so he could understand how bad he is right now. He should admit to his problems that way he could fix that and in the long run, fix his broken relationship with his wife and his son. I feel bad for his son because he will be the most affected in this. I think as long as you love your family, you could stop gambling for them so instead of your gambling habit, pay attention to the relationships that you have with your family and your peers. That could help us gamblers in the long run.
710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: September 18, 2020, 03:50:48 AM
@NBA experts in this thread, do you think that Miami can beat Lebron and Anthony Davies' Lakers in a best of 7 series? I was not convinced, however I am slowly being convinced after the Heat beat Celtics from being the losng team in game 2 hehe.

I am not an expert but I think they can't.

LAL offensive and defensive is also great and these two are working so well not just as a duo but also as a team. A lot of plays can be seen in their past games adjusting to the teams they are playing. Lebron could make points by forcing his way through, he also create plays like Rondo feeding it to other teammates or usually AD. There's Kuzma, KCP, etc, well LAL is full of players where they could circulate the play and I think as long as these players could make their shots, they could rally points and threes with Miami.
711  Other / Archival / Re: What will happen to bitcoin on a world war? on: September 17, 2020, 04:38:15 AM
At that time, Bitcoin is not my priority.

How I would survive a war should be my priority including my family. I won't be able to check the price at that time since I will be busy keeping updates on what is happening and what might happen. Maybe after securing our safety, I will wonder what happened to it and might reinvest all I have if the price is low since that is a rare situation.
712  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do scams harm Bitcoin's reputation in the mainstream world? on: September 17, 2020, 02:59:12 AM
I think scams are not harmful for Bitcoin's reputation. Because the thing we call "scam" is not just on the cryptocurrency industry. Scams also can be seen with fiat money too. There are people who are against Bitcoin and it looks like they will continue to try defaming Bitcoin.

Based on what you said, this depends on what they are using to scam people.

Even before I knew everything about Bitcoin, I was also a victim of these scams and that made other people think that those people inviting people to earn money are a scam. In terms of Bitcoin, people in our country relate it to scam since there are a lot of scams that happened in the past years and they are using Bitcoin to make an exit to these schemes.
713  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin reached 10k USD, where Ethereum come at 352 USD on: September 16, 2020, 10:16:42 AM
This market is a volatility one and what you see happening has happened several times in the past. Those of us that are familiar with his market has seeing this pump and dump of the market several times and those that are wise and patience are market they money through this up and down.

It will just go back again to that certain price.

The resistance can't be broken so I think it is really obvious that it will just go back. But despite that fall, it is not that low really, right now we can see the price going back to $11K again. I think in no time we will be going back again to a price challenging $12K again. Think of it as a swing investors took so they could break the price of $12K.
714  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin reach to $100K ? on: September 16, 2020, 09:54:29 AM
It feels great to imagination about this but the reality is, that wouldn't be happened. cause the price of btc is keep raising but still can't reach $20,000. So isn't it impossible for btc to touch such high volume? But as a btc holder, it would be pleasure of mine if this prediction really come true

It would take some time but I don't think it would be impossible.

The chance is there, just think of the price in the past and the multipliers it has in the past. If that will happen sometime in the future I think it is so possible for that to happen. But yeah, with the resistance we had right now, we can't even stay for long at $12K. But for me, I don't think this is impossible, we just need some time.
715  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin dont pay our billls we need passive income on: September 16, 2020, 09:06:55 AM
I think the idea of what you're saying is that Bitcoin is not enough to be a source of income, which depends exactly.

A lot of people already told me that investing in Bitcoin won't solve any of the shortcomings of my source of income since usually we just hold Bitcoin. We don't actually invest in Bitcoin so it can be our daily source of income, we invest in it because we are hoping that we could get enough profit in the near future which means that we can't actually base on Bitcoin especially if you don't have that much to start with.
716  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID19 VACCINE AND ECONOMIC GROWTH? on: September 16, 2020, 08:42:50 AM
I heard that the vaccine from Russia has not gone through phase 3 testing...
claiming that a vaccine has been found too soon will only increase the number of corona positives and that is not good, it's better to wait until it passes the final stage before it will be announced to the public. the world is praying because only a vaccine can make our lives return to normal like before this epidemic struck.

People are running out of patience. No one want to wait for another 6 months. As far as I know, none of the potential candidates have completed the phase III trials. And the vaccine won't be available in the market immediately after the completion of trials. There are still certain regulation hurdles, which may take many months. Under these circumstances, I won't blame anyone if they prefer to take the vaccine even without the Phase III trials.

717  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: All your entertainment things must have an external limiting feature, agree? on: September 16, 2020, 07:32:51 AM
Government? maybe they can help but banning gambling is not good, maybe making rehab facilities for addicted gamblers would help.

I don't even know how will they do it.

If they will be doing some regulations or create a law that limits gamblers or even maybe like what they did on UK about proving yourself in front of an ombudsman, people might think that the government is restrictive and it might cause for those gamblers to find a way or a hole for them to gamble without those restrictions or limitations.
718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: All your entertainment things must have an external limiting feature, agree? on: September 16, 2020, 05:59:39 AM
I don't agree that all entertainment things must have an external limiting feature. You can trust in external limiting features that will
learn what is good and bad for you, you need to learn that for yourself. You need to have a self-control, ability to manage your emotions,
your actions, you can't expect from others to live your life and to help you to not make a mistake, it's all on you!

You know that is not easy, right?

Gamblers that are addicted to gambling can't even realize that they are already addicted to gambling. They can't learn it without someone or anyone making them, that is why people should really be open with their family, the more reason that the government needed to step up to help these people. They will not help themselves unless they realized they are helpless.
719  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do think about skill games? on: September 16, 2020, 04:39:11 AM
I think that is great.

Skill-based games are so great for me because we are not basing the chances of us winning from the luck that we have. We based on the possibilities happening in the game, the statistics of the players or teams that we will be betting on, and the knowledge that we have on that game and on that match. I think skill-based is the game for those people that wanted to earn a lot from gambling.
720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: September 16, 2020, 02:59:34 AM
What a defensive block from Bam.

Really a very intense game between Miami and Boston, went to over time Butler shows his heroic again, I was with Boston
but Bam makes the big dot.  Hope to see more of this kind of a game. Congrats Heat's fans!

Herro is also playing well.

As the youngest player in the playoffs, he's just amazing. 11 rebs and 9 asts and 12 points, just great. Then there's also the back to back three of him and Jimmy Butler. That made me stand though despite my bet on the loss, this game is really amazing.
