Pretty much standard across the entire business and western world that the week begins on Sunday.
Sure, that's why it's the last day of the weekend. Tongue

The international ISO 8601 standard places Monday as the first day of the week, and this is widely used on calendars in Europe and in international business.

718 shares have re-appeared at the IPO price. Are they just releasing them in bits because having too big a pile of unsold IPO shares sitting there was putting off buyers? If so, it worked - lots of shares have suddenly been bought over 0.14 - but if that's what they've done then doing so without announcing for that reason would be a bit dodgy to say the least.

[Edit: but they didn't, it was sold. No dodgyness Smiley]

Still haven't executed.
Does that mean you thought it was going to fall even further than the recent low?
704  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: August 26, 2013, 01:01:21 AM
I'm so glad that Vycid executed those puts.
Has he executed all the puts? The first ones he publicly bought are only just coming up to expiry, and he was buying them for quite a while.
705  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: August 25, 2013, 11:04:45 PM
The predicted mining part of the dividends next Wednesday is just below 0.007. Difficult to say how much are the hardware sales, but if AM retains some of it again for future reinvestment (which is a good news for anyone seriously investing with at least a 2 months time frame in mind...), there won't be much added. We should see roughly the same dividends as last week... What do you think will be the reaction then?

...till the 2nd gen's are ready, then...

As far as I can see I don't see the price go > 0.0038, the ask wall is too big. Time to sell and buy back later ? You know that people cannot hold for more than 2 days in the bitcoinworld.
Some of the big ask walls lately have been getting pulled when they get bitten. As if someone doesn't really want to sell but is trying to push the price down into their bids.
I'm going to try this sometime.. sounds like it might work
Apparently it does, but you run the risk of a hungry whale swallowing all your precious Labcoins in one gulp.

Was there anything significant in FC's announcement of new USB miners that wasn't already known?

Myminer has backed out because of legal issues in China and is now taking back all shares in return for the IPO price:

Collecting funds from public is still illegal in China. We used to think that IPO with BTC can avoid this legal risk. However, it turns to be wrong after we consulted with several layers.

We realize that keeping holding your funds for this project is very risky and irresponsible.

Does this mean anything for AsicMiner?

With this on top of what happened with BTCGarden and Avalon in China it seems to be becoming a very bad place to do BTC business. The sooner Friedcat moves some hashrate abroad the better.

A very similar CE marking has been alleged to stand for China Export because some Chinese manufacturers apply it to their products. However, the European Commission says that this is a misconception. The matter was raised at the European Parliament in 2008. The Commission responded that it was unaware of the existence of any "Chinese Export" mark and that, in its view, the incorrect application of the CE marking on products was unrelated to incorrect depictions of the symbol, although both practices took place. It had initiated the procedure to register CE marking as a Community collective trademark, and was in discussion with Chinese authorities to ensure compliance with European standards.

I've been playing with the API for a day, and I've already made a simple iPhone app to get the list of BTCT assets and its last trade price, in order to control them from my iPhone, instead of going to the web everytime. It's some kind of stock ticker.

Its very usefull for me, but I'm wondering if anybody would be interested on it, to publish the app into the AppStore, or remain it just for my own usage!  Roll Eyes

Are people with iPhone/iPods interested on this?  Tongue

They already have an iphone app don't they? Or is it just a webapp...?

I think they have/had an Android App... And I'm not sure if there is a generic webapp, but At least at the App Store I couldn't find anything...  And for me its more comfortable and quicker to check BTCT from a simple App instead accessing safari! That's why I decided to code this app for my personal use...

You should get some interest if you add it soon, as you currently can't look at the markets on btct [edit:via the web page] without logging in.

Does the app require entering login details?

Only has 3% of the network now.
In 8th place, behind Eligius, Deepbit & BitMinter. Not good. Sad

Before the avalanche of fake photos & FUD and all hell breaking lose, there was a brief discussion about this:

I think LABCOIN will get first test-run chips before Aug-28.

The Fab is TSMC Fab12 TMED87.
SZICC's TSMC plan

You can find WangZhengHua's cell phone number in Google cache.

Good job, detective  Cheesy

Could someone explain what they even mean as I can't see any relevant data.

Scroll down, to the row where it says "0.13 um" (=130nm, which is the process we're using). In that row, you'll see a production that started July 24th. That is ours.
The next one is scheduled for Aug-28, which means at the latest then will the chips be finished (though I think probably sooner).
That's the way I understand it. Could be wrong though, I have not the slightest idea on how these fabs are run.

Can anyone confirm it's significance? Thanks.

I am confused and not following, half this thread is garbage.

Why are people buying Labcoin high right now? What news?

The main movement happened during the discussion of this post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=263445.msg2996459#msg2996459
716  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: August 24, 2013, 04:54:16 AM
qwerty is pulling your leg, this pump and dump has worked through and through and I hope you guys have managed/will manage to take profits while the opportunity is available

Lots of us have been watching, the majority of the jump was way before qwerty's pictures. Why would you even...

My asks in the mid .0031~s  just got filled. Pleased with my return but now I kind of hope that the bubble collapses so I can rebuy in.

Ah.  Cheesy
717  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: August 24, 2013, 04:33:33 AM
Maybe we could have a separate Labcoin Speculation thread, and try to keep price movement talk in there?
718  Economy / Securities / Re: ActiveMining Overview and Speculation Thread on: August 24, 2013, 03:47:53 AM
You sounded convincing until you said,
"Oops, cats out of the bag!"

You should have just said,
"Just trying to pump up my BF shares, kthnx!!"
+1. ActM shares always seem to be far more expensive on btct than bitfunder, whatever the volitility.
719  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: August 24, 2013, 03:40:45 AM
Expect a bunch of financial geniuses to try to give their shares away just under .003

In 5...4...3...
Well... I'll be buying them. Grin

I can see this one going up like crazy in the next couple of weeks, especially if the first actual mining div appears around then...
720  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] Virtual Community Exchange w/ Options, DRIP, 2FA, API, CSV, etc. on: August 23, 2013, 11:38:07 PM
I'll look into alternate ways to display the market and still not have the DDoS exposure.  A static html file or cache object is almost certainly the way to go.
Thank you for listening to the community. You do a fantastic job.
+1. Thanks for being responsive, and for all your hard work.
