I think it depend on the market and the whales ). Sometime, NANO increase the same as BTC but sometime it's not. There are so many altcoins decrease while Bitcoin price is increasing. I often thing that everyone in this world already got knowledge about cryptocurrency and all other things in this world before investing their money in anything but seem like I was wrong. The reason for the failure of the ICO project is very much. Sometime they got hacked not because of using a normal wallet like MEW but coldstorage wallet like Trezor or Ledger. You should know that some people can't buy hardware wallet directly so they need to buy these wallets from another seller then they got hacked because their hardware wallet infected with virus installed by the seller before selling for these guys . 

I think it's still normal cause some project need months to be able to list their token on any exchange. For example if you know about BuzzShow ICO project, it ended for months but for now GLDY token of BuzzShow is not listed on any exchange yet but seem like it's not a scam project . You'd better wait a little bit more cause maybe it's a long term project

IMO, I think before you decide to invest in an ICO, you have to research the ICO project carefully, so it will probably be potential if you spend a lot of time searching. Therefore, investing in pre-sale ICO will help you make the great profit when Token is listed on exchange floors.
