701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The difference between the Facebook platform "LIBRA" and Bitcoin on: June 23, 2019, 09:11:38 AM
The difference is the privacy of the user Bitcoin gives us freedom and anonymity and it is decentralized,
While on the other hand Libra would be centralized and our funds on that crypto would be monitored.
It would be just another shit coin back up by a well known company named Facebook so it wouldn't really be a threat on Bitcoin instead it would only help the crypto community grow.

704  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I saw the notice that Bitcoin surpassed 9.000 USD! Help about "FOMO" on: June 18, 2019, 11:58:07 PM
Hi there... I saw the notice that Bitcoin surpassed 9.000 USD!

I know the ideal was to have bought in past, in "low" price to sell now in the "high" price... But, I'm entering in Cryptocurrency exactly now and I feeling "FOMO"....

My main goal is to do "Holding" of Bitcoin and good Cryptos, but in this moment I would like to take some of the profits to redeem in my wallet to already help in future "Hold".

As I am starting now, I want to know your suggestions, because I intend to invest now to take advantage of some of the gains from this high...

Calculating risks ...

1. I think buy Bitcoin in 19/06/2019
2. Keep following closely the gains and notices about Bitcoin...
3. Constantly transfer just the profits of BTC to my Bank Account(Fiat money) (to save, to avoid eventual losses on "correction" of the market).

That's a good idea??

What do you think? What would be more appropriate to do to take advantage of this momentum?

Sorry the bad english, I'm from Brazil.  Roll Eyes
Since your intention is to hold it for a long term then I guess there is no need to worry about the current price.
If you believe in Bitcoin and look at the past few years you would know that yearly Bitcoin price has been increasing so there is no need to worry if it is for a long term investment,
However your plan is to take the profit everytime the Bitcoin price increase would only result to a lose of money since you would be using an exchange platform I guess,
And for everytransaction there would be a fee so your money would only be eaten up by it.
705  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is Not Decentralized on: June 18, 2019, 03:20:01 AM
90% of bitcoin hold by whales, only 10% of bitcoin hold by people, whales  can do anything pump btc to moon or dump it to hell,
BUT ask yourself 1 question: What Happens to Bitcoin After All 21 Million Are Mined? then whales completely control bitcoin price.
Bitcoin Is Not Decentralized.
How did you even come up with that computation?
Surely whales hold a huge percent but it isn't something so big like that.
Basically you are talking about almost 16M BTC out of1 7,764,937BTC is on the hands of whales.
Surely whales could move the price but don't you think that they are also cautious on their stock?
Besides even if your computation is true 90% wouldn't be by just a small number of people surely it would be plenty of people and groups,
So relax the market wouldn't be easily manipulated if we wouldn't be careless and fall for FUD and FOMO.
The real enemy isn't the whales it is our own emotion when we are trading.
706  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, Dark Web, Drugs and Government. on: June 18, 2019, 12:28:24 AM
This issue isn't new in fact this kind of act has been around for so long .
It is the reason why Bitcoin has been famous from the very beginning,
SilkRoad is one of the early market that make a big noise for Bitcoin and drugs.
Criminals are taking advantage of anonymity that is why it is pretty famous in Dark web to keep their track clean.
That is why most people see Bitcoin as something illegal because of those acts.

708  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IF you were/are living on BTC/Crypto. Is buying mining equipment dead? Take Poll on: June 12, 2019, 06:07:31 PM
Well I am planning on start on mining since it would give me a stable income in crypto currency ,
Since we are earning in crypto might as well try anything that we could and also I am planning to invest in a solar panel to lessen the electricity cost so I could maximized the profit that I would get in mining.
So for me mining isn't dead it only cost much but it is worth it.
709  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🐁🐁MiceRace.com - Combo Betting - Fixed Odds - Track 11 Live Race Cameras🐁🐁 on: June 12, 2019, 05:28:54 PM
It is unique games because I was not able to think this Idea that Mice will possible to use as a gambling. But I know animals can use to gambling like cock fighting but Mice Im shocked!

Goodjob to the owner who create this game and good concept. For the players better to pick good mice for you to win the race!
Now I am wondering if there would be someone who would create an online betting for cock fighting in the future.
This could also be a good one but it would be really hard to start something like that on your own maybe someone who works on cockfighting arena could host it.
I guess there are some people in crypto who also like that kind of betting.
710  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Bank in Liechtenstein Grew It’s Traffic by 900%, by Selling Cryptocurrencies on: June 12, 2019, 05:00:00 PM
Well it is good for both sides they attracted a lot more customers and the crypto gets promoted by them.
So I think it is a win win situation for both parties but when it comes to their ICO I don't really think that the crypto enthusiast would really invest in it .
Crypto is known for being decentralized and banks creating their own ICO would be the other way around for me it seem's like they just want to make some centralized crypto to let them control it and be part of crypto industry.
711  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Faketoshi technobabble, bunkum and mis-information from CoinGeek Toronto 2019 on: June 12, 2019, 04:25:47 PM
Can you specify which statements you're referring to that are mis-information? I'm genuinely curious.
If you are still thinking about it "Satoshi Nakamoto" is the biggest mis-information in this video.
We still haven't found the real Satoshi and other things that he have said .
If they have the things that he has been saying if they could do it then why couldn't they really trace those hackers who hack millions of dollars in the exchange platforms  Cheesy.
The video made me laugh for real.
712  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in 2019: Are we still libertarians, cypherpunks, and crypto-anarchists? on: June 12, 2019, 04:09:58 PM
The ideology is still there we have lose some because of the popularity most of the new comers doesn't really care about what it is created for,
Most of them are just here because of the popularity of crypto and because of being able to make profit.
Only few of the Bitcoin user or holder are still here because of Satoshi or those cypherpunks ideas when it comes to crypto.
As you can see most of the user are willing to trade back their privacy for some penny in crypto they are willing to sacrifice what Satoshi gave them they are going back to being centralized again.
713  Economy / Economics / Re: How Will FB Coin/JPM Coin Impact the Cryptocurrency Ecosystem? on: June 12, 2019, 03:37:40 PM
I think that they would affect the crypto market in a good way they would attract more investor since they are already well known and making more publicity for crypto.
But I don't really think that most of us would be interested in those centralized alt-coin and we would just use it for trading to gain profit ,
Most of us wouldn't really use it for it's sole purpose just like most of the centralized crypto .
714  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin evangelist John McAfee fears getting arrested or disappeared on: June 12, 2019, 02:59:08 PM
Bitcoin evangelist John McAfee has threatened to “bury” the US government if they keep harassing him over unpaid taxes
Do we have a source other than McAfee himself that he is being "harassed"? As with most things everything to do with McAfee, I have serious doubts as to the validity of his claims. I wouldn't be surprised if he is making this story up to gain some attention for himself and his recently launched projects.

promising to leak a huge trove of files proving corruption throughout Washington and its allies.
Was that like when he "promised" revenge after he was poisoned? Or when he "promised" his wallet was unhackable, and then it was repeatedly hacked? Or when he "promised" he would eat his own dick? Or when he "promised" to reveal the real Satoshi? Everything he says is only for attention. Ignore him.
Fanny how things become joke when McAfee is the one who says things ,
It is how things are because of his previous statements it is really hard to know when it is a serious or just another publicity stunt to gain attention.
This feels like the story of the boy who cried wolf by Aesops ABC  Smiley .
715  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitBet.pro - Advanced P2P cryptocurrency price movement betting platform | Bonus on: June 12, 2019, 02:31:52 PM
Pretty simple site and I really like the concept, everything seems fair. I was worried there would be obscure altcoins that could be manipulated but they are all decent large volume coins. I'm definitely going to play a few rounds and see how it goes.

No, we only support coins with actual liquidity (real) on our platform.
What about adding small market cap coins? DGB can be a really game changer coin for gamblers.
I don't think that it would be a good idea small market cap coin could be easily manipulated by groups ,
So if there would be a gambler that would form a group then they could easily win in those bets .
I think those decent large volume coins are already good for this kind of betting because it would be hard to manipulate the price.
716  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Creators of Dicing 🎲 | 29 Billion Bets | 112+ BTC Jackpot! on: June 12, 2019, 02:15:41 PM
Interesting that forum pay for post, the coins i think will come directly on primedice account or no? And i want to know is there any first deposit bonus on primedice now?
Just a heads up for the pay per post the payment would be determine on the posts that you made,
I have tried it and the highest that I get from replying is 360 Sats while on creating a thread it was around 700 sats.
But if you would use their forum for updates and information's then I think it is worth it but if you would go their for the pay per post then don't get your hopes too high.
717  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC ATM in London Goes Crazy... on: June 11, 2019, 11:43:05 PM
It didn't happen just this morning but it's already 5 days ago. It's posted on reddit so if you haven't seen it there, here it is:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/bxhypk/bond_street_bitcoin_atm_spitting_out_tons_of_money/
That’s crazy, lucky to those who got the money early that’s an easy money. I think this is a very rear situation, and if this thing happen to me for sure I’ll get some money and got so nervous. That was system error for sure, and i don’t think its intentionally done by someone, that BTC machine should be pulled out or else it will happen again.
I don't think that the guards allowed people to get closer, you can watch the video and see two guys stopping people from getting closer to the ATM because they knew it that everyone will pick it up and just go away.

At least, only one guy was close to the ATM and he's just kicking those spitted money and compiling it to the bag. You shouldn't do that if you are in that situation, just remember that it's not your money and you don't own it.

We don't really know who is that person in that video.
Who knows, he's assigned to collect those money or might be another bitcoin prank?
Or the machine had a system error because btc atms are not yet fully robust in nature.
But not everyday you can see such BTC atm spitting a lot of money.   Cheesy
So it's a good way to attract attention from people around that area and at the same time promoting the existence of bitcoin, right?
Well we will never know maybe it was a public stunt to promote crypto or the machine really did have an error.
After all how would they know it right away or maybe someone already get some money out of it before they came?
718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fraud-Fighting ‘Watchtowers’ to Arrive in Next Bitcoin Lightning Release on: June 11, 2019, 10:31:31 PM

What's to be determined is the incentive to run watchtowers, as they seem to be data-intensive. The linked article seems to imply that Lightning Labs is considering to create a kind of private altcoin (they call it an "Ecash" variant) to pay watchtowers. If this "coin" is distributed via an ICO or something similar then I don't know if I like that ("Ecash" seems to be a pretty centralized concept involving banks ... again, fodder for tinfoil hat guys).
Then when it comes to this it is just another way of promoting their alt-coin,
And making sure that there would be a demand for their crypto .
But if it would make the Bitcoin transaction much more faster then it would be great.
719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My first attempt at bitcoin art on: June 11, 2019, 09:27:35 PM
I don't think it is art, at least for me. It falls on the "meme" category a lot more than art especially with the "what you see" format (What People Think I Do / What I Really Do) and the fact that most of the materials used are not made by you.
Well I for one consider meme as a form of art.
It is just made for fun but visually it is a form of art work.
Meaning or definition of art by google the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.
Meme is a way for people to express their emotions and it is a creative skill and imagination so therefore meme is an art for me.
720  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nicehash founder charged with fraud and racketeering arrest warrants 50 yrs jail on: June 11, 2019, 08:44:02 PM
For their customer who still use the service since the hack earlier in 2017 are their funds going to be consider safe to keep on their site accounts? Undecided
Just so you know, the news have nothing to do with Nicehash, the authorities are going after especific individuals.

But you should never trust 3rd-parties to hold your cryptos, that's like the #1 rule in the cryptosphere, especially if you know that the site was hacked in the past. So, even though Nicehash reimbursed most of the funds stolen two years ago, I don't think the customers funds are safe. If you have any coins in that site, get them out asap.
Yes keep your own crypto on your own wallet .
You should always be in control of your own crypto or wallet no matter how safe they might be ,
We couldn't be 100% sure that the hackers wouldn't find a way to get into their system just look at binance ,
It was said to be one of the most trusted trading site but still get their system hacked.
So we should be the one to take care on our own crypto funds.
