Says the rumors at least If you followed rpietilia it was noticeable that his personality changed considerably after his marriage failed and he was hacked for millions in 2016. The scamming people came 6 months later in 2017, so reality is more 'turned mentally ill, scammed people', which makes more sense. |

i mean i get it. bitcoin cash was released, people sold it, and btc went even higher.
Not everyone sold it, some obviously bought and continue to buy. It still has a market price of over 300 USD and #4 by CMC. Its not overturning BTC's lead any time soon but it isn't disappearing either. BCH fork created a new crypto wth a new community, based largely on tech considerations on scaling. November fork is about control, and not tech, so chances of both forks continuing successfully is very small IMO. 2x fork is a winner take ALL, BCH was a divorce |

All the -70% activity spanking doesn't do much for community building, too early for punishment. The history of airdrop coins being successful without innovation is very poor, there's so much competition now, and when more than 50% of the community realise while they were waiting for direction from the dev they had their pants pulled down and their bums smacked for lack of 'activity', many will stop paying attention here.
For better or worse the dev must lead and show direction, at least at the start. When I see people getting enthusiastic and evangelising an 'unknown' project I smell insincerity and BS. @dev, you lead first and then spank the inactive community members later, not before the fucking project has even started!

I'd like to see someone airdrop an IOTA clone on bitcoin hodlers, and then ARDOR clone, then Ethereum clone.
Then do the reverse, bitcoin clone airdropped on IOTA hodlers etc
Just pick the 10 technically most awesome crypto projects, and then do reciprocal airdrops. Would totally clean out the cryptosphere. If everyone owns reciprocal holdings in all the big coins the whole industry would unite.

Institutional money from Wall St hedge funds etc is just about to start pouring into the crypto market, when it does the quality coins in the top 50 will all moon at the same time, for the same money, massive amounts of new money. This current drop in price is a gift, stratis has the 'look' and 'feel' that hedge funds want, it's almost certain, just compare team stratis to most other top 50 alts.
Institutional investors will start buying any top 50 coins with decent foundations, and that will include stratis, 100% certainty.

Just so you are aware, when JoyStream goes open source, we'll be forking it and merging it with vTorrent coin holders.
There is a developer that is happy to maintain the new chain.
The new JoyStream fork will not be building new functionality. It will be a "JoyStrem Classic" which will keep up with JoyStream releases and just merge changes as and when they are open sourced.
We'll probably have the same number of coins as vTorrent. Anyone who has VTR's can claim the same number of JoyStream Classic coins.
JoyStream Classic will likely be a PoW coin, but we'll wait and see.
JoyStream themselves are focused on Bitcoin, so we are not competing with them on Bitcoin payments.
If at some point after the first 6 to 12 months, people want to actively develop the JoyStream Classic coin, we'll pick that up as a discussion point in the future.

* JoyStream Classic is not going to be the final name
* As people who own vTorrent VTR coins will get to redeem the same number of JoyStream Classic coins, we are not competing with vTorrent.

Just to confirm, nothing - repeat - nothing will happen to vTorrent and no-one is taking over vTorrent.
If people don't want to claim free JoyStream Classic coins, we'll give them to the JoyStream Classic maintainer and to the vTorrent devs.
So now everyone in this thread can wait for vTorrent to release torrents and JoyStream to release torrents.
I'm not doing anything beyond advising as Helium is my priority. But as it will be a simple fork, there is not much to do.

Oh my why didn’t I think of this. Air dropping after the fact, the token sale issued tokens, could be a way to convert an illegal security into an unencumbered token! Is this the way to issue an ICO and get away with it without actually encumbering the future of the tokens? Actually I did think of this before but I was thinking that the new tokens need to be held for 3 years because I was thinking the same issuer (of the ICO) would issue also the air drop. But if the new issuer is non-affiliated with the ICO issuer, I think this air drop might be the way to convert the illegal ICO tokens to legal tokens. If a Token is a security, is a fork the same as a share split?
I’m thinking that if the new issuer is non-affiliated with the prior one, then no it isn’t a split. The investment contract was with the original issuer and common enterprise. The new non-affiliated issuer has no investment contract with the investors in the ICO. Afaik this is what DecentralizedEconomics is doing with his YourChain project, |

Here is one that I have not seen mentioned, RADIX. This currency is the only one that I know of that do not have a 3rd party clearing such as VISA or MC in the mix. RADIX debit cards will go directly from the point of sale terminal (POS) to your personal RADIX wallet.dat ... just thought I would mention this as it is scheduled to launch later this year.
Can I load other crypto coins onto the Radix card like XMR, or do I have to buy the radix native coin? |
